don't be deceived by all the fotocopy thing as is if she is benig transparent, dual citizens must not always travel with one national identity. U can decide to make one trip using Nigerian identity and some other trips using ur other national identity. that is why politicians like to have citizenship other than Nigeria in secret then it is more difficult to monitor their travels. what kind of official trip is she making with her husband touring the length and breadth of Asia? Na waaa ooo |
kk,i have done my research and this is what i found, why not check it out http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/quran/023-violence.htm
My scope is beyond this crap u sent to me. Answer these question why did the guy that wrote this blog quoted everything out of context? and corroborated it with further misleading lies? U see? well, let me tell u this briefly cos I dont have time. The muslims were underdogs and very vulnerable as at the the time they were evolving. They were attacked and killed in many wars because they never defended themselves. They thought they would be committing a sin if they killed in return because there was no subsisting revelation at that time that gave them any right to kill anybody under any condition and then came these revelations clarifying their right to defend themselves if their life is threatened. The target group at that time couldnt have being Muslims of course because they were the only group of muslims nobody else beleived in what they believed. A one minute research can not clear ur many years of misunderstanding dude. U really need to know where u are getting ur info from. Real the Quran as a book and get the complete picture. That's my advice. |
here is a food for thought, pls think critically b4 u reply. moral lesson from quran: KILL d infidel moral lesson from bible: LOVE d infidel do u get my point?
Sorry but u made no point cos the point u are trying to make is not valid. U are overwhelmingly mis-educated by an unguided response to a decaying social stimuli. E.g, the Boko Harams, u seems to be listening to those guys too much. Get this clear, there is no moral lesson from the Quran that says "kill the infidel" no matter how u wanna slice it, it doesn't exist. U either do ur research and find out or continue to believe what is false and then that would be ur problem and not mine. |
stuhporh: Am with you a 100% but dont forget that all what is in the QURAN is what we have as the OLD Testament, while Jesu himself did say he didnt come to remove , but to add to what has been in existence. What am trying to say is we both have the believe in same GOD, but, That same GOD has chose to channel to himself through Our Lord JESUS Christ. Now the Muslims were the conventional moses followers who lived by the law, but refuses to accept the grace (JESUS)we are enjoying. try read up a story about a man in ACT CHAPTER 11. whom was not a believer but very close to GOD giving alms and even pray, ( i say that ma was a MUSLIM) one day God showed himself to him and showed to peter aswell, directed peter to his house and converted him to a Christ follower. That chapter tells me a true Muslim serving GOD with their hearts and no prejudice, will be converted at the last minute no matter what. Also not forgetting that the bible also made reference that those that we think cant make heaven will actually do nd vis-a-vis.U are fatally wrong. the content of old testament is just about 20% of the entire content of the Quran and the reason is that everything was more or less the same as far as the life and times of the prophets were concerned until when Jesus came and then there was a divided account due to divided interests which was more political, U have to know that a minority Jewish sect who were Jesus' apologists had an account of Jesus that was different from the main stream Judaism as at that time and that was the beginning of xtianity. Although the old testament did not give any account of some prophets while the Quran did. If u compare that with history books on records of events before christ and after christ and then compare and relate it to the account in the bible and in the Quran, it would be very clear to you that the Quran is much more detailed complete and logical. There are lots of unanswered questions from the Bible accounts in the new testament. However u know this topic is a very looooong one I dont think I have time to go d length but I see many comments and it amazes me how many have a very flimsy understanding of their faith and its origin. |
ikeyman00: ^^^^ she arent asking for an advice but instead tell her what u got on offerIf ur comment was referring to me, well, if u read my post objectively, u would see what I have actually offered and not what I have to offer. This very little silly attitudes are the reason why we can't make any change as Nigerians. How would u say u don't need an advice when u have big dreams? If u want to make a change, u must be open and be a listener. There is a lot of wisdom in it. |
ogb5: Better join the army and stage a coup, thats the only way you can get absolute power to implement what you are talking about. This dude might seem to some ppl as enemy of progress or pessimist but he is actually not. He is the one stating the most fact on this thread. It is pretty impressive to see how positive ppl are towards changing Nigeria for good but TALK IS CHEAP... VERY VERY CHEAP. It is not impossible to change the country if we work together collectively but the question is how does it happen? Ogugua88 has a very good ambition but has she taken into consideration who and who she would work with when she gets to Nigeria? How does she find ppl who shares the same passion with her, those are much more difficult than the entire project plan. Have u guys tried going back to do anything in Nigeria before and see how it turns out? Let me tell u this, I helped in a project sometimes back, to help kids without sport shoes in Nigeria. We collected 550 pairs of used shoes thru a facebook page across 3 cities in the Netherlands and shipped it to Nigeria. The matron of the partner organisation in Nigeria was in charge of the shoes and when we got to Nigeria we realized there was a problem because the number of pupils that got sport shoes that we could record were just a little above 100 and after alot of arguments they could neither produce the rest of the shoes nor the recipients. I buried my head in shame because the Dutch colleagues were very disappointed and the project was evaluated as a fail and unsuccessful. What is the point I am trying to make? if u want to do anything in Nigeria, u must be ready to do about 80% of the project by ur own self otherwise u may not achieve ur desired aim. |
You can wax your car all by yourself.. Just buy a wex from a car accessories shop, the instructions are written on it.
u forgot to tell him that it is not very easy though. He must be ready to shed some sweat while doing the polishing and if its a big car, that means more area to polish and more sweat. If he's not used to working out, advisably, don't think u would wax ur car and cruise it out immediately after, u might end up so tired to do so. Although its not a big deal if u are used to physical stuffs then u should be able to handle it. |
ACN was at at Arishekola's house at the same time, NURTW was at Arishekola's house while PDP were coming in singing their songs, NURTW thugs attacked them (the PDP) Hmmmmm... I can see! Gone are those days when the reverse was the case. Now the ACN is even upping the the thuggery ante. |
latbas: Nigerians are ignorant of sumtin, bricklayers, carpenters, plumber, etc are skilled workers.am a bricklayer and tiler, wit just one contract which i finished under a week,i can make up to 100k and as i tiler i collect 2500 as daily wages. A bricklayer is different from labourerWell, u are not wrong of course but let's balance things. Let's assume every young ppl take to skilled labor like u have said. Ur tiler job u are boasting about presently would be threatened. There would be more tilers, more mechanics, more carpenters etc that would have to compete for the same available jobs. Don't u think about that? |
onatisi: my guy u are missing the whole point up,noone is disputing the fact that some jobs are better than others,it has always been that way,but what the op is saying is that many nigerians that are unemployed will prefer to stay unemployed ,beg or even steal than to do any dirty job or hard labour job all on the excuse that it is suffering, but take these same of ppl to another country they will do the job,the money they will be paid their will be of little value in the economy so why cant u do the job here.thtis the op arguementThe op's argument and ur own corroboration are both invalid as far as reality is concerned. A blue collar job in the U.S for example will pay u wages with which u can leave a reasonable life. What are u guys saying? Do u want to tell me that most jobless university graduates in Nigeria of today would turn down a labor job in a factory for example if the same would earn them 80k at the end of the month? U are asking a university graduate (if I get u right) to be happy and contented with a brick layer job that will pay him 1k/day which is equal to 20k in a month if he works 5 days a week? he would spend from the same meager earning for his transport to and fro the construction site. He would probably be left with some 12k at the end of the month after working the whole month in the scorching sun, carrying heavy loads, (no rules such as max weight to be carried, no protective gears, no insurance against any hazards, etc) and at the end of it all, he would have several illiterate colleagues that can not add any value to him because his reasoning and their reasoning can never fall within the same scope. That alone is degrading and frustrating. U better think very well about issues before u begin to blame ppl. I am a "been there done that guy" I can tell u how it is from both worlds. |
The stunt is real. Chris Angel pulled stunts that are crazier than this in the past. And the guy is very very rich. He walked at 90 degrees angle up a skyscraper in Germany. That was just a publicity stunt for his magic show that was impending and in less than 24hrs after the stunt, entry ticket for the show was sold out. So I would not be surprised if this dude is also using the same strategy. If this guy was a Nigerian, he would have 2 options. Either to call himself a magician and fail because magic is evil or simply call himself a prophet and prosper while millions would take him as the most potent conveyor of their prayers to God and others might arrogate him as next to or equal to Jesus Christ. At least he too walked on water. |
The problem remains that ppl will continue to have varying perspectives as per what smart and brilliant actually mean which will of course continue to generate diverse opinion as far as the topic is concerned. The point is that BRILLIANT and SMART actually mean the same thing within the context of this topic. In some other context it may not but as far as the question by OP here is concerned, guys don't bother urselves trying to differentiate. It means the same. |
alex406: I dont think this development will go down well with so many people especially the ones that are running PT programmes and the ones living very far from the school main campus. Some measures should be taken to reduce the stress this will cause the students. Between what happens to the students already on these satellite campuses? How is BETWEEN grammatically relevant there? u are confusing the abbreviation "btw" for between I guess. Well if I am right, BTW abbreviates "By The Way" that is what it should mean at least within the context of ur post. |
sprringx: Yet Ukraine ranked 25th in the world in Education. Speed-passing so many western European countries. The problem is, people don't value what is affordable. Let's stop deceiving ourself. Intellectual development is a relative thingDude, 1stly, I don't know where u got ur ranking from. 2ndly, if u think its all about people don't value what is cheap, I need to help u know that u are wrong. The fact is that Germany for example is the king of Europe in different ramifications and still, there are universities in Germany where u can actually study for free or at a fee 10ce cheaper than what u pay in Ukraine even as an international student. But have u heard anyone talking down the quality of education in Germany? English or no English? I am just laughing when u wrote "speed passing western European countries" Even Ukrainian themselves will beg u not to compare them with those countries in the west. Cross check ur facts. |
Hey Guys!!! The point isn't about "do not study in non English speaking country" as far as Europe is concerned, that is so blanket. The point is about ensuring that you study in western Europe to be on a safer side. eastern European countries are generally of lower standard. There is element of truth in what the ambassador was saying. In terms of international standard, Some Ukrainian schools are substandard but compared with anything in Nigeria let's not deceive ourselves, they are still better. If u want to study abroad and u are looking at Europe for example, look at Western Europe and search for courses taken in English. If u can find any course u like in English, go for it. If I say Western Europe, I mean countries starting from Austria, Germany and farther to the west.Excluding Czech Rep. and the countries in the south excluding France if u speak french, otherwise stay west or Scandinavia. Cheers! |
okpara ugo: Marriage is an achievement. When you have money and you are lonely, then you will know marriage to be an achievement. A happy marriage is the greatest achievement in life.It is unfortunate that as soon as ppl draw religious perspective to an issue, they end up more confused rather than better comprehend the situation. If God as an entity instituted marriage as u have understood, is it not awkward that u then prefer to view marriage as an achievement rather than a religious obligation or spiritual obligation as it should be? Obligation and achievement is not the same thing is it?. And then u said its an achievement when u have money!!! What is money before God? God would never have instituted marriage only to be enjoyed by the rich when we are all equal before him, ur understanding of God as an entity is grossly inconsistent. |
Marriage on its own isn't an achievement but it could be an achievement in a society where it is deemed to be so e.g Nigeria but that is crap. U can only attribute a certain achievement to marriage if such was what you would never have achieved if u were never married to your spouse. But to single out marriage alone as an achievement is crass nonsense when u do not have to pass an exam or cross any breathe taking hurdle for u to get married. Just anyone can get married. |
I Shake My Head for this Guy... Even in the States, excessive tattooing is absolutely a gutter fashion and completely a ghetto trend. Does he think he would eat from all these kelly hansome bullshit brand for the rest of his life? He is just laying a foundation to end his life up as a junkie. |
Well, that's bad but DUMB isn't the right word to use, they are just bad with English as a language and u can blame that on a lot of things, especially their upbringing. We all know that most of these guys are school drop outs so why would one expect them to be very brilliant with English vocabulary when there are pool of graduates that are even worse in the same country within the same system? U really can not limit the measure of one's level of intelligence to how one is able or not able to speak a language. |
tatiana009: Don't tell me that you haven't noticed that most Nigerians are aggressive. Madam beats house girl, Oga beats madam, police beat civilians, military men beat policemen! We have been taught that as long as you are in any position of authority over another person then you can go ahead and flog them for daring to talk back to you. This society is too violent!U are absolutely correct. This bothers me all the time and I think the only way it could be solved is for ppl to respect ppl irrespective of age or position in the society and Nigeria would be very peaceful. But are we ready? |
Ninilowo: The man must be a comedian! When OYO-ISEYIN ROAD is in a deplorable state! what does IT want to do with 8 lanes for crying out sake? I ve said b4 that all AC governors rode on Fashola's popularity to win elections and nothing sectacular should be expected from them. A big fool indeed. alinikaan se. Papa n jo were n la gutter.Hahahaha, In fact, u don vex. Vex eazy abeg, just 4give am. |
bankyblue: This is beef. Why no quick notice?Hahahahaha, more like funny things comedians say, it could be reality on Nairaland. |
Enough with this Jehovah Witness is the best crapola. How a church which churns out the most miserable looking....miserable existing set of people ever seen can be touted as the best in anything. . . is beyond me. ![]() Deeper Life and Jehovah witness should only be brought up when the discourse is about how to turn people off Christianity. Those two churches make a very strong case for that topic.
Hey, if u have limited ur points on that they turn ppl off Christianity and expound on how, it would have been okay. But I consider it a sheer exhibition of arrogance if you call their looks and existence miserable. Note! I don't entirely believe that u are arrogant cos sometimes we do things without being conscious of the fact that it is wrong. The fact is that everything still boils down to our miserable country. If Nigeria was a nation that takes care of the ppl, has good social security and gives job to the jobless, I don't think anyone's look or existence would be miserable irrespective of their religious belief. I want to see a Nigeria when ppl of the higher class would have some respect for those at the bottom class even if they have nothing. |
AjanleKoko: I am fully behind the Nigerian Pentecostal pastors. They know the Nigerian problem very well, and they put their energy into encouraging people to be aspirational.Well, u made a few points, good analysis but what about the points that u did not make? Was it deliberate? Don't u know that the same hope they continue to offer is the reason why Nigerians are redundant? All we know how to do is continue to hope endlessly. Is that not stupid? And u think its a good thing? Any serious nation would think, strategize and practically implement the strategy. U are 100% mistaken to have thought that Nigeria would go suicidal in the absence of Pastors or let lets say clergies. Infact, the moment Nigerians realize their irrelevance is when the country would start moving forward... I would tell u why... the mode of their hope would change from hoping without content to hoping with content. When the ppl start to believe less in miracles and more in hard work, realistic approach to problem solving then they can hope on that. Nigerians need to start thinking. |
ItsModella: No, I would not even date a guy my age let alone a younger guy. I'm naturally attracted to older guys because I think they are more mature and understanding and can handle intelligent conversations (my opinion). Plus, I get a better feel of protection. But then, connection and compatibility is what matters.Hahahaha, These are things ladies say when they are still very young and the guys their age are equally young. That stuff in bold is very irrelevant for older ladies. Just think about it. An older lady would surely give a different reason and in most cases wouldn't even care if the gap isn't that much. Unless she just like to stay "freestyling" and that is a different thing entirely. At a point, in man's life, age becomes a less relevant factor to determine who would make sense or not while other factors like one's personality attitude and behavior becomes more relevant. |
"FlowerPower: I'm not a Naija girl, but I would date a man up to 2 years younger than me if he was stable in life with an education, career, and God fearing. I hope this is not an ad for a sugarmummy" So what is FlowerPower doing here? U 're wrong if u think any of these Naija guys would buy u some flowers..lol |
I laughed hysterically when some guys here were trying to exonerate the clergymen by concluding that the principal accuse paid a "tithe" which could have been placed in an envelope and as a result, the clergymen could not have known who the tithe payer was. I tried to imagine the kind of envelope that will hold 45M and the kind of income of which 10% will BE 45M and I just started to laugh. If on the other hand he enclosed a check in an envelope then the claim of anonymity can not be sustained. It is unfortunate that some ppl here are still trying to defend this. |
I am surprised some ppl are hitting hard on Lagos for just doing the right thing here. The only thing I may not agree with is if Lagos continue to issue their number plates to non residents of Lagos. Then that will rubbish the entire motive of a streamlined data. |
Billyonaire: Patience GEJ is a private citizen, Nigerians should leave her private health life out of their jobless amebo life. In the event that anyone should find a constitutional clause to prove to me she is a public figure as President's wife, which I doubt, Its also State Secrecy to keep health of state officials secret so enemies wont go doing 'winshees' on her.A private citizen that feeds fat on public fund! God will save Nigerians for loving and protecting the elements that suppress and oppress them. |
ochallo: Must you guys always try to defend your religion at every slightest opportunity and if you want to why not defend it with the truth. More moslems have been killed, really? You mean the firing and bombing of churches every sunday were killing moslems who had nothing to do and then went to church and got bombed to death?Neither you nor the guy you responded to his statement were speaking the truth. More muslims have been killed by BH (absolutely untrue) Fact More Christian have been killed than Muslims by the notorious BH, at least it is obvious that most of the attacks are targeted at churches All countries with mulsims as majority are completely violent (absolutely untrue) Fact Countries such as UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia (a single country with largest population of muslims in the world), Malaysia, Lebanon etc are not violent. The problem of the world today is that all parties are defending their interests and blaming other parties with sentiment and it is the reason why people are consciously or unconsciously not speaking the truth. |
damzbaba: As far as the scope and quality of my education is concerned, the University of Cambridge is doing me just fine. Top 2? Still google it anyway. Having enjoyed the benefit of a first degree in Nigeria, i appreciate quality in terms of having a conducive learning environment, a cultism and strike free institution. But that is besides the point, the schools have NUC accreditation, and if you have a problem with their quality, pick that up with the NUC. You must really think the world of your dutch education lol. This a problem with Nigerians any day. I made a post that compared the cost of a quality education from the global sense with the cost of quality education from Bowen and Babcock etc sense, then used Bowen versus Wageninegn University as a reference and then drew a conclusion. Simple straight forward and factual analysis. To my dismay, U in ur narrow mind failed to see the sense in my argument and rather preferred to believe that I only intended to brag. Then u came and shot urself in the foot by claiming that u study in Cambridge and still ur understanding of quality education is limited to NO STRIKES CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT (so the environment in Bowen is as conducive as that in Cambridge ) I dont wanna believe that your claim is untrue but i just want to believe that u are very unrealistic with urself. Again if u are studying in Cambridge and u think the only way u can know the quality of education in Bowen is to forward an inquiry to the NUC meeeehn u try! If that was ur thesis for instance, is that what you would do? Just as if the argument here is about the legality of Bowen's existence, we are talking quality here.It is not my business if u are in Cambridge or not, that is not what matters. What matters is to come up with an argument that is logical, convincing and true and you have failed to do that in all ramifications. Regards. |
