COOLDUN: Great reasoning, I read your comment with great regards and respect. Don’t mind the lunatics that support this evil proposal. The commissioner that is clamoring for this kind of barbaric punishment forgot, that she is one of the beasts that are suffocating this country to its breathless state, today. Their useless ideologies has turned Nigeria to a wild jungle, where life is no longer sacred, that is why the only news you hear in Nigeria nowadays is killing.U made the point... The quality of our leaders' actions is the quality of their followership. Its time for we Nigerian to not only start thinking but very very deep. Thanks for the prayer tho, cos I take humanity and wisdom so seriously... Regards! |
I do not support such proposal, its nonsense. U would castrate a rapist? are they out of their mind? U better give him life jail or kill him than to castrate him because a castrated guy would feel so empty and worthless and everything around him would also be worthless and would feel no reason to live. So what happens next? he would feel hate and vengeance and this guy would end up killing someone or many and then killing himself. All these ppl in public offices just have crude mentality at approaching things without carefully analyzing the consequences. U would castrate a guy and free him to go live with other normal ppl? Osun ppl! |
Mekanze: Islam is evil, and the same time problem of this world. Look at middle east egpt, all over Muslim nations problem.Unfortunate... u do not realize that the problem in Egypt is even hailed across the world. The youth of the country are standing up against oppression, ABSOLUTE STAND OFF!!! against dictatorship, freedom of movement and speech. They are giving Morsi a good fight for democracy just for arrogating to himself undesirable immunities in his recent decree. The same young folks chased Mubarak out. They are saying no more corrupt leadership. Something someone like you should learn from and stop celebrating your corrupt leaders. At the end of the day, ur own judgement from that development is "Islam is Evil" I shake my head vigorously for u. |
semid4lyfe: Overall, I liked the opening Blame The Machines graphics and the sound that accompanied it. . .very machine-like and robotic. It goes with the title of the filmVery good critique... I hail the guy's effort tho but it is good to point at little things like u have rightly done here so he can improve on them cos sincerely, these little faults are the reason I no dey watch naija movies... But I do not agree with the assumption that he lives in a duplex, That could also be an apartment. In fact it looks more like an apartment. |
how can anyone think that Naija go dey there in the 1st place? Sometimes we no dey face reality. |
Odenigbo Aroli: Mostly Igbo, especially when emotion is involve...But I think about chics in English...This is really funny, I don't know why I do the same. Even if the girl na pure naija girl. Now I think the language in which u will think would be determined by what actually u are thinking about. |
Dondav: I was born in Igbo Land, Grew up in Yoruba Land and my brain couldn't understand any better than the other. Until my English Teacher induced English Language forcefully into my brain.C'mon dude, be real to urself. We all once had a teacher who wanted us to learn English. If English is now ur main language, no basis to blame it on ur teacher but on ur own choice. |
Abali1: It is kind of painful, being judged by something U have little or no control over. Being told "I Love U" while the person is just prolonging the day she will leave you.Look I know ur situation is painful but u have to approach it pragmatically. U need to think up a strategy. I would help you with the following points. 1) Try to socialize a lot: The main motive is to have as many female friends as possible and ensure that most of them are potential wives for you. The more female friends, the higher the probability of finding one that will suit you. 2) Work on their psychology: Try to prepare a favorable ground for your SS bombshell before unleashing it to a lady. Psychologically, if a lady has a scary perception of SS, U stand little or no chance of keeping her still after telling her that u are SS. So how do u work this out? engage them in intellectual discussions most of the time, discuss issues on health generally and establish an impression of yourself that you are knowledgeable as far as human health is concerned... This is to make her respect your opinion and believe you when u say something on health and the people. Tell her about popular myth about ppl's health and how funny is it that these things are not actually true don't discuss genotype yet. U don't have to do this on the same day otherwise it can not work. It has to be a gradual build up and u have to be sure that she is agreeing with u on one point before moving to the next. 3) Be more romantic and sweet. Do sweet things that common guys wouldn't do for their girlfriends. Be very masculine and always in charge, Be very clean and smell fresh, do not limit ur affection to just spending money on her alone. Do little things that most guys are shy to do...She would love u so much and start to think that she can not live without you. 4) Make sure that you get to that level, where u are convinced that she is very in love with you and everything you do, then you can now raise the issue of genotype. Bear it in mind that you only have to pray that she is AA and discuss further on how it is of no disadvantage since she is AA. You are healthy and would live long, there are many SS around these days and u will never know they are SS. At this level, the steps u have taken at steps 2&3 would likely work to ur advantage Note. this is just a framework, u should know how to blend it to reality. But I would not advise u to go into any lady other than AA. Otherwise, its going to be a lifelong regret. Good luck! |
amypaul: Bros, ur own will surely accept u for who you are, try and tell her every thing, it does not matter when der is true LOVE, I ve seen a guy with HIV positive dat got married to a lady, her parents disowned her but she refused to let him go. Just pray for directions on how to locate ur wife daz all. I wish u d Best.Hey Ms, is that actually a true story? because I have also seen too many women believing untrue stories, not because they are fools but because of some other reasons why they are women. |
thelastPope: See you! Lol. Trying to play the neutral card. Hypocrite! I support GEJ and don't hide it. That doesn't mean I support every decision he makes. I don't sit on the fence. Fence sitting is for hypocrites. I support him because I believe he means well and will make a change. If he disappoionts me at the end, I will say it loud and clear. So far, he is doing fine! You, my friend are a hypocrite. Your kind are the problem of Nigeria. You go around like a thug without honor, insulting GEJ and calling him names even when the topic doesn't call for it. ACN and El Rufai has sponsored you lot to insult GEJ online and you are trying make people believe that it is PDP doing it. You think we don't know your trick? How come all of you supporting ACN know yourselves on NL and the people supporting GEJ are very diverse? Please tell me! You think we don't know? Don't let me open my mouth oh! Ehn!Wow... so what has Gej done for this country to make u defend him so much? Do u know the meaning of hypocrisy? No insults, no offence, kindly just tell me (in bullet points) the specific achievement of GEJ so far and may be then you will tell me what I don't know... Am waiting. |
Ppl are just ignorant. Many Nigerian youth that speaks horrible English these days were brought up speaking English only by their parents. The question is why is there English still bad in spite of their parents' effort? The quality of ur spoken English depends on the source u are learning it from. That means the quality of English you would speak is a measure of the quality spoken to you by your parents as you grow up. Little children tend to think that their parents' action is the most perfect and so they follow it. That is the reason why there are many "Nigerian English" grammar and expressions passed from parents to children. If a child is properly educated, they can learn several languages at the same time. The scenario is confirmed in Europe from children out of cross country marriages. A child from German and Spanish parents for example would speak both languages perfectly and most likely would also speak English if 1) The child lived in an English speaking environment while growing up and 2)If the child is educated up to University level. So I don't understand what is our problem in Nigeria, we are not always getting things right. |
crackhouse: how are we sure that pope said this? did u hear the pope said that? pls don't rely on whatever you see on the internet before drawing to conclusions because we have a lot of atheist with different websites writing trash just to destroy religion. they can stay in their homes and cook up a story, upload it to their website and circulate it just to cause confusion among Christians.C'mon dude, u can not see the sun as bright as it is if u do not open ur eyes... U are still in doubt of a development that is on top of the news on CNN as I type |
emeka762001: instead of una to dey cry for nigeria, una dey busy dey fight una self over wht pope say abt christ date of birth, how dat one take stop boko haram, kidnapping, bribery and corruption, armed robbery, bad roads, unemployment etc in nigeria? So u can not connect the fact that dogmatic belief based on a warped understanding of religion in Nigeria and even the world over is the root cause of all the stuffs u have mentioned here. The more we start to ask questions, the more we sharpen our brains and brighten our reasoning. The HULT PRIZE is specifically dedicated to people that ask WHY? So if u endeavor to reason deep, u would see the connection even though it is far apart. |
Oh so he is just 20 Oh now I have to cut in some slack for some if his excess recklessness with money and bragging. He is still kind of a kid but he has to learn from Whizkid for e.g on how to stay humble and enjoy ur "supersterdom" at the same time. That boy is just too loud and his coming up is too arrogant. He needs to be cool headed to sustain his status, I wish somebody can tell him. |
It's a complex scenario but it all boils down to the fact that we Nigerians do not have respect for each other. From the poster's observation, u are talking about a U.K society where ppl are polite to each other even on the street, so how then would it be difficult for such society to have good customer relations. In Nigeria it is the opposite so it will be difficult to train a staff to be polite to customers when the everyday life of such person is aggression, hates and "run everyone down mentality". We have to overcome our aggression 1st in Nigeria. We have to grow up and understand that while attending to customers, u have to be as professional possible while customers too need to understand that if a staff is being very polite to u, then it's not a reason to be rude and talk to them anyhow. |
ujchief: Few years back, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya 'of single and married' lost her precious life on the sosoliso plane crash. Are u out of ur mind or just blatantly uninformed? I read through that bold comment of yours and I shook my head for you vigorously. |
Midtown cruise = 1 hand Top speed on a lonely highway = 1 hand Top speed on a busy highway = Both hands Top speed meandering = Both hands That's been my driving habit since '98 and never had a crash, I am proud of that. |
SlyIg: How much are you older than me? Although, I didn't look at the whole thread but this is definitely the most correct translation that I saw. It's as simple as that. Another guy that was closer said "By how much are u older than me?" but "By" was unnecessary. All other folks that tried to translate including the word "years" are close to not correct in standard English context, (not Nigerian English) Let's bear it in mind that when translating from one language to the other, we have to respect the word order and the grammatical structure of the language you are translating to and that is why it is usually impossible to translate literally from one language to the other.. That is what many have done here. |
naturality: only a foolish man will do this. even if na my pikin nko? everybody has a duty to play and this is definitely not my own partU should be ashamed of urself... U better heal urself of that backward mentality. Thinking its only the woman that should care for the child. One thing ppl like u don't know is that things can not remain as it was in our generation compared to the coming generation of our children. Ur child wouldn't give a damn about u if u don't create a close bond between u both. When u would realize that paying his school fees and bringing food to the table alone was not not enough for ur child to feel u as a father would be too late. In our generation, the society compels us to learn to love our father even if he is not always there. The way the world is changing, that status-quo can not be sustained, so that guy u are calling a fool is more civilized than u and he is seeing the future that u fail to see. My advice for you... wake up!!! and then grow up!!! |
shymexx: After watching this video for "The Game (Feat. Future & Jeezy) - I Remember" tune, and with the calibre of chics in that video, I definitely won't mind marrying a stripper... I'm a proud alumni of eat-breakfast-in-the-strip-club college and one of my closest female friends whilst I was at uni was a stripper - and I know for a fact that most strippers are decent and intelligent... I've conversed with loads of them and they're not so different from the other decent chics out there, to be honest...Hahahahaha... Guy... I know what u are talking about, Me too... been there, done that. But nah, no no no no!!! I have only rolled with strippers for the trips of it. Nothing more, nothing less. Yes sometimes they make u feel good, their innocence, not faking, tell u some truth that even the so called good girls would always lie about etc... Yea, I know it but u are making a mistake here, if u fail to observe that after all that seem to be good about these ladies, they are still nothing but sluts and that's it. And if u trust them so much, u might lose ur life for it. If u have ever, ever interacted with a professional stripper, u would agree with me that they care only about the money. So how would u marry a stripper in the 1st place? Because I don't know any who ever told me that she is planning to get married. Few of them like to have kids but not a husband. So if u just saw a video and its making u wanna marry a stripper, I see u as just TRIPPING. That's exactly what Jeezy and the game wants to achieve with their target audience...Believe in everything u see us do and believe that they are all good for u (the bling blings, the alcohol, the strippers...) |
seanet01: This is a warped mentality. So because he dealt with lazy and incompetent teachers and civil servants he is not good? Nigeria has a long way to go with people like you. seanet01: Are you for real? In this same thread, just collate people's opinion about his performance and see why you deserve to be throughouly flogged. How can anyone take u seriously when the basis for ur judgment is as shallow as some opinions on this thread? Were u even old enough to have a vivid understanding of a political era as old as some 12 years Back? Don't be silly! |
MOBBDEEP: I don't buy this idea of a baseless norm or culture preventing people from saying the truth the way they see it.God bless ur brain... U are every inch on point. I have told ppl many times that the most hated governor in Oyo is ironically the one that performed the most, if compared with any other at least since the beginning of current democracy. I don't know how much he embezzled, we would never know how much any of them embezzled but in terms of physical structures that u can see and point fingers at he surpassed them. We as a people need to start placing our judgment on reality and not on mere drama that is just playing itself out as usual. |
Sayfat: Great Lam!!! You've fought the good fight...sleep on.Liar!!! everything you wrote is wrong He was not living in a face-me-face-you apartment, he was living in an ordinary flat that wasn't spectacular in anyway before he became governor and shortly after, the flat metamorphosed to a gigantic palace that stood out from all the buildings on that street. (Lam Adeshina street Felele)...That is contrary to the impression u are trying to give here. He respect the voice of the masses? Hmmm!!! that is blatantly sycophantic. Go ask the teachers and the civil servants generally in Oyo state, they will tell u 1 or 2 things about Lam, he oppressed them, neglected them, owed them salaries and was never apologetic. He disregarded them with his utterances on different interviews and all that explain the reason why he lost with incredibly wide margin at his 2nd term attempt. It is a good attitude to pray for the dead, I agree with that as we would all die and no one is perfect. We all have to seek for God's forgiveness. But please, Let's leave it at that and not go as far as lying just to draw unnecessary sympathy for the dead. Rest In Peace Lam Adeshina. |
The question is what is vision? I don't wanna believe that u guys are limiting the meaning of vision to stuffs like hallucinations u see when u are praying or gone in to some kind of spirit. I think the poster should have added an adjective as in "prophetic vision" then the question would be more relevant to some comments on this thread |
rodeo0070: What the happened to the BMI* measurement?Yea the BMI but I think the doctor is just trying to introduce a simple test that will always remind u that u r overweight every single morning in the bathroom. U can easily forget that ur BMI was very bad and not even everyone know what a BMI is so I feel that doctor for his idea. |
Kslib: Na wa oh.. Thank GOD say nobody shout end times!!!!
Them go church. Dem dey come
Hahahaha u guys no go kill me, I dey lafff ooo! |
Anything in the middle of formal and informal is considered normal to me. the other 2 extremes are abnormal. I do not agree with those who think that coding names on ur phone is disadvantageous in case of accident. U can scroll thru a victim's call log and u can easily identify the most frequently called number, call that person, ...and the 2nd most frequently called and the 3rd and so on... those are the closest folks to the victim. |
As far as I'm concerned, the question of asking for password shouldn't even arise in the 1st place. Why would I not know my wive's password and why wouldn't she know mine? If you and ur wife or partner are having good and reasonable relationship, ur wife should send emails on ur behalf and pick ur calls when u are not available and vice versa. Anything short of that is for me very abnormal and that means both of u are preparing ground for possibility of having to hide something for each other and no absolute trust. The only thing that may get me angry is if I observed that my wife seem to want to look at my mail or my phone more often than necessary, this will of course create a feeling that she is trying to monitor my interaction with 3rd parties. This can make me go mad cos I won't do that to her. |
don't blame ppl saying it is barbaric, the fact is that it is actually barbaric. The barbarism may not necessarily be about whether an armed robber is burnt or not, but about the possibility of burning innocent ppl if the culture is nurtured. Why was it so easy for the community that killed the Aluu 4? Simply because of the mentality of all of u who think such "burnings" make sense. All of u condemned the Aluu killing but many of u are still justifying arbitrary burning of armed robbers, without any standard procedure to substantiate that claim. What it simply means is that as much as many armed robbers will be burnt alive if we continue with this barbaric culture, keep it at the back of ur mind that more innocent souls will also be burnt alive either by error or a mix up (being at the wrong place at the wrong time) or even deliberately by haters setting u up as an armed robber like the Aluu4 scenario(once they know that if we can set him up and make him look like a robber, all passers by would join us to burn him alive. After all that's the culture now) |
Rustic: I hv a question for pilots in the house..Question 1-Pilots rely on 2 things to avoid collision with other planes 1) there is a device (forgotten its name exactly) that senses any object whatsoever at a distance and it also indicates the direction where the object is during flight 2) Pilots rely on instructions from air traffic controller at the control tower who clears them to proceed to fly and the altitude they must maintain as they depart the runway. the same principle is applied to inbound flights. The air traffic controller ensures all inbound and outbound flights, none of them should fly at the same altitude and none should take off or land at the same time. That is the reason why sometimes ur flight is kept in the air for extra minutes before it is cleared to land. Pilots rely on their gadgets and the traffic controller to basically fly their planes. Question 2-They know exactly the km distance between point A and B so they know they are close if they are 100km,50km... to point b. at the same time, the plane picks the radar from the control tower of the airport they are approaching. At this point they communicate with the traffic controller and he instructs them on the altitude to maintain until he clears them for landing. meanwhile at this point, the pilot would have descended to lower altitude where he can see the landings strip. A pilot would not attempt to land if the landing strip is not visible. |
I'm thinking of having a four jumbo sized parachutes on the aircraft, to be attached to the wings, head and tail compartments. which should only be deployed when it's certain the aircraft is crashing. Imagine the bird dropping like a paper kite? thus, the force on impact will be reduced drastically which I think is the major cause of deaths. Honestly, I detest flying .
Good idea guys but if u take a critical look at the entire setting, the parachute alternative is not practical for many reason. 1)In most cases, when a plane is on its way to crash, the pilots usually still believe that they could do something then suddenly, they would realize that they are just minutes to crashing... too late. 2)In another case, the plane misbehaves on air so much that even if u had a parachute and u wanna jump out with it, it would be difficult because the plane is in an awkward position and ppl are falling over each other. 3)And again, if u are in a commercial plane, remember that the vacuum is large and all planes are pressurized with oxygen gas, if the plane's door is opened arbitrarily on flight, the pressure effect will throw u outside equally arbitrarily and it might knock u on the fuselage. 4) Do u know how to skydive? or u think just any one can skydive without learning how to do it? U know I am not an expert but I bet u even an expert will give u more tonnes of reasons why it is impracticable. Well its an interesting topic but that"s the way it is. Oh okay, sorry I quoted ur comment but u are actually talking about parachutes on the wings. Well lets talk about that too. Now how can that be possible? u think its possible? well I don't think so. Reason is this. U will need a massive sheet of material that will hold the massive weight of a plane back when its resting on gravity. Have u seen the parachute designed for just 1 human being that weighs an average of 80kg before? U can then do the math and imagine what could the parachute that will hold a plane effectively look like. Lets assume someone designed this massive parachute, where would u place it on a plane? definitely not the wings, never, the wings of a plane is carrying out alot of sensitive mechanisms that actually flys the plane and it is majorly through the way it reacts against the wind, so there is no place for a parachute on the wings. The weight of the parachute also will be too much for the plane even if its placed elsewhere. The plane has maximum weight it must have before it can float in the air.. and on and on.. so many reasons |
@Chaircover U can add the program "Air Crash Investigation" to ur favorite list. by the time u watch up to 10 episodes u would have known a lot about airplane's mechanisms, weather influences on flights, how the size of a plane or even the design influences its maneuvers, etc. I love planes and flying so much I watch a lot of AIRCRASH INVESTIGATION that when I talk about aeroplanes sometimes ppl think I am an aeronautic engineer or a pilot or something. I hope the documentaries wont scare u the more tho. Cos its scary sometimes to see plane smashing the ground with incredible speed like a missile. But its a good way to learn if u have the heart to watch it. Its also on utube. |
I shake my head vigorously for u.
Wasn't her head supposed to have hit the stool and skidded off to the ground with the stool fallen off it's legs?
