you're right sha
we what am seeing on social media (nairaland), it has changed my mind set about marriage/relationship (NOTHING LAST). Everyone is free to have their mindset and opinions. You could even decide not to marry, fair enough. However, your perspective about a situation (marriage or other life issues) should not be used to apply to the general population! This is my point. For every marriage you see sinking, tens are also soaring! Don't use nairaland toxicland as your template. Ciao! |

Y'all claim women don't know what they want, but really these days men seem more confused than ever!
You ask her out she declines, you castigate her. She makes the move and asks you out, you jump to nairaland toxicland to dish out crappy advice as usual to your fellow gullible redpillers not to marry her.
Yet many are getting married every Saturday. Stick to what works for you, even if it's MGTOW and let others stick to their choices.

ethicallyright: Many Nigerian men who complain about Biden have funded the abortion of their girlfriends or one night stand partners who got pregnant. Legal abortion means that people get to take care of children they are ready for and get rid of those they do not want before they are even born as humans. If the raped girl in Edo made it out alive and she got pregnant for one of the rapists, would you rather she kept the child and be damned by emotions forever while the child's father is not certain but one of three people who gang raped her currently serving life sentences?
Legalizing abortion means protecting the academic career of young female students who were lost in love and risk losing a year at home to nurse babies while the boys who put them in the family way get higher and higher.
Legalizing abortion means that the lives of our females are not ended by quacks who charge expensive rates to help them abort their foetus behind closed doors. We have young girls with blocked fallopian tubes because what could have been a simple process was undertaken by a quack in the dark.
It means that a pregnant woman can walk out of her abusive relationship and end the pain she may carry for 9 months and subsequently forever without being blackmailed for it.
Legalizing abortion makes it clear to the whole world that men only donate their white liquid for fertilization while a woman labours with a protruding stomach for almost 300 days. When a woman can walk into a clinic to buy a card and terminate a pregnancy she is not comfortable with, many men will lose their bargaining and suppression chip.
Serial divorcing of women, overt abuse of members of the press, winning elections on Twitter and uncouth speeches are some of the similarities 45 and FFK share. Any man who has no respect for women would always be against anything that tries to make them free. Even women we are fighting for are too blind to understand. . |

Kelvin30286063: He feels nothing yet he got her pregnant 4 times! Sorry to say but your friend is crazy. So if you feel nothing for someone, the way you will show it is by bleeping her and making her give you 4 babies. Your friend should just say he is tired of bleeping a woman with 4 kids.
On a different note, here is an advice to ladies out there, if you know you want to have more than 2 kids, make sure you have C-section in some. Having many babies through your V will render it useless for the man you want to spend the rest of your life with. Especially when you have 4 babies in 4 years like our dear op's friend . |

WoundedLamb: Women have more education now, they are beginning to take leadership roles, they now participate in sports, they are now pastors, pilots and even soldiers. Modern laws allow them to inherit their fathers' wealth now. Outside Nigeria, we have women leading countries now. In Saudi Arabia, we now have women driving cars. They were denied all these before due to prejudice but things are changing even though we aren't there yet. Just 100 years ago, your type would have called anyone who thought of all these "delusional". The fact that you refused to see the sad state women were in nor appreciate the trend in recent years shows you've decided to bury your head in the sand. But whether you accept it or not will not change anything. The trend is clear, women will continue to get more and more liberated and time will come when you'll have to prove your superiority as individual and based on your content and not just because you happened to be born with a dic.
As for the big cats, don't even try to make it look as if I missed the point. You specifically said that within the big cats, "the lion cannot be equal to others". You were clearly comparing different animals and not genders there and that would have been a great analogy if we were talking about man and chimpanzee. But you claim to be talking about physical strength or leadership or size in animals, you might also like to know that there are a WHOLE lot of animal species out there where the females are clearly bigger, stronger or leaders. But I ain't even citing that cause unlike other animals, we have more than basic instincts and we understand the concept fairness, equity and justice.

Romance › Re: I'm Truly Ashamed For Some Men by apatheticme(f): 5:00pm On Oct 28, 2020 |
WoundedLamb: Well, I already know most of you can't argue without resorting to calling names but I will ignore those and concentrate on the points raised.
First the chat is within the context of Nigeria, right? Yes, there are some rich women in Nigeria who are doing so well but even these rich women aren't free from the gender bias. Last week, Genevieve Nnaji made some financial contributions to a certain society in a bid to support gender empowerment. Some people came there to drag her for being single. Her contributions didn't impress them cause they couldn't see a man to attribute that too. That's the mindset of an average Nigerian. People that used to call Mercy Johnson "olosho" now see her as a role model cause she slowed down her acting career to bear kids. While this is a nice choice, it shouldn't be used to judge others. In Nigeria, women are judged on their ability too cook, wash plates, keep the house clean, do the laundry, take care of the kids, etc. Even when they request for washing machines, pounding machines or a house help, men see them as not being quality wife materials. Some men (especially Muslims) don't even want their wives to do office work. Women can't travel based on career but men can run the family from anywhere. At first, this was because women take care of the kids. But even when the woman wants to move with the kids, she is still not allowed. Even in the total absence of kids, women still lose a lot of opportunities cause their men want them to stay and take care of them. There's always this subtle threat of if you go, your man would cheat. Girls are indoctrinated to believe finding a husband is the ultimate goal while boys are encouraged to be ambitious. A single lady with a good job is asked not to live alone or buy a car in order not to scare away men. Men are threatened by the woman's success. The most annoying is that despite these sacrifices, Nairaland boys would still call any flashy lady or wealthy lady derogatory names like ashawo, olosho, milf, etc. The point is, regardless of a women's achievement, she is judged by her ability to have, keep and please a man. Anyone who can't see the bias is either blind or being dishonest.
I am not 17 sir. But you are explaining to me the exact mindset I am saying should be discarded. And because you were born into it, you are so narrow minded that you can't even fathom the possibility of change. I just don't see how that translate into a point. You keep saying men are judged this way while women are judged that way; who does the judgement? The same men? That judgment is what I am saying should be reviewed so you reiterating that makes look as if you don't understand the crux of the conversation yet. Isn't the bias in that judgment clear enough? They enjoy seeking out women for pleasure and they judge themselves based on their ability to do just that which they love doing and you are citing that to support your argument? How can you be shamed for not doing just what you love doing naturally? Isn't it obvious it's a solidarity to ensure sexual liberation on thier own part while the women are expected to be devoured? A man is not considered lose for having sex but a women is. And we should go with cause that's how it is? Who does the considerations? That a culture has been there for long doesn't automatically make it right.
I don't know if you recently learned the word "incel" but if you had any idea what it is, you would have known that it only weakens your argument. An online subculture of narcissism, misogyny, self entitlement and excessive masculine supremacy that blames women for the the inabilities of men is what you want to use to back your argument? Who is shaming the incel community if the same incel community? Do you know how many deaths caused by the so-called incels? How many black people do you even know that self identify as members of the incel community? How did incel become a model to the point that you'd use such a terrifying ideology to even support an argument for masculine superiority? At this point, I might as well use your own words and ask you to find out more about the community cause I don't think people in Nigeria know a thing about them except the term itself. That beast is what NL boys is turning into and instead of you to be worried, you're citing them. I'd rather not talk about incel cause no sane human, male or female, would reference that terror.
NB: Women don't have more rights than men anywhere. Not surprised an African would see female liberation as having more rights cause men can't easily lord it over women, hit her or abuse her like African men do but no, men still enjoy more recognition and less judgment even in the western world. A thousand likes! Sadly, people like him are hardwired to resist change. I just pray my daughter doesn't come across such archaic, low self esteemed men. |

Dijavu97: The mistake you ancestors made, and you are now making is to think marriage is all about sex. That's why they born pikins and raised you up like a rat. Most of the people here fall below the age bracket of 25years. Never been married, never been financially autonomous! You must of necessity understand that they not only lack funds, they also lack experience. However what they seem to have in abundance is excessive vigor and fantasies. Fantasies about life, fantasies about marriage etc. They've never been there, so they brag about what they'll do when they are there. We all know reality is different from hearsay. Some years down the lane, with some cash and age, along with a daughter here or there, the tune will change. History has it that father's are the most fierce protectors of their daughters. We all know they'll never wish or agree that their daughters be treated like trash the same way they clamor for someone else's to be treated now. They may not admit it now, but they will eventually. Don't stress yourself arguing with them, time will teach them lessons, good ones I hope. |

WoundedLamb: In Africa, women are seen as being owned by their men. This wouldn't have been a problem it the men were also owned by their women. The misogyny in Africa is such that everything a man does is correct. They either make an excuse for him or they try to reconfigure the woman to accommodate the man's excesses. I'm surprised you're this shocked cause this isn't new. NL boys and men will get to the lowest point just to support men regardless of the situation. Logic does not apply here. If a man cheats, his wife will be asked to cook well or lose weight. If a man rapes, the lady will be asked to dress better next time. Wizkid is "my guy" for having multiple ladies but the ladies are 'oloshos'. The sexism down there is becoming beastly and it's unfortunate that these guys are not aware of the kind of socioeconomic environment they are creating with thier actions. They think blindly supporting anything a fellow man does makes them more manly (something they call alpha). And when you try to reason with them, you're abused.
In fact, Nigerians don't like equality. They only cry out when they are directly affected. Men think they are superior human beings. Politicians think they are superior citizens. Force people think they are superior entities. Tribe A people think they are superior to other tribes. Straight people think they are superior to gay people. Religion "A" people think theirs is superior to others. The rich think they are superior to the poor. Etc. And this will continue forever because nobody is really advocating for equal rights. Everyone is trying to create exceptions to exclude those they believe don't deserve it. You're the first sane human being to clearly state the obvious on this Nairaland 'Hateland', without fear of being called 'simp'. People like you always move forward in life regardless of circumstances! May you walk and never stumble!!! |
