My question is how many Western or Asian countries will extradite their citizens to face the law in Nigeria? None! They will claim the judicial system is weak in Nigeria. ![]() They will only send back Nigerians that if they had their way, they will happily have deported anyway to reduce immigrants in their country. If there is good money involved it will years and huge legal cost to recover them. Like some Abacha loot stool hanging in foreign countries decades on. ![]() |
Jesus was the greatest philosopher. In Western philosophy Plato had the widest range of philosophical ideas and influence. Including democracy. But I will choose Socrates as the greatest. Much of Plato's work was popularising the works of Socrates. Basically Platonic Sacrates. Aristotle is very much close. Pythagoras' works especially on religion is not to be underestimated. Considering that he preceded most others. Trying to compare Kant, Hume and later philosophers with classical philosophers is very difficult. |
Tobinrobin:Of course he will win. He enjoys support of the powers that be. If Gandollar can win, he can win easily. I think Nigeria has inadvertently activated the self-destruct button. The series of actions to make it "boom" is already set in motion. Historically we wonder why various countries and empires somehow crashed. Roman empire, Ottoman empire, etc. All crashed from within. All the signs leading to crash were clear but nobody could really stop it even if they wanted too. Late actions only delayed them but never changed the course. |
Ijaya123:I am. Just hearing that history is no more a subject on it's own. How did that happen? |
Deepfeel:Dude those young sperms are far healthier than older ones. All our body get damaged by pollution these days and aging. Nature actually foresaw early parenthood. It did not foresee having degrees, jobs and lots of wealth before parenthood. Just the basic like being able to fish, hunt and gather food. Of course the challenges of modernity means preparing well before marriage and that takes time. By the way Mahatma Gandhi married at the age of 13 and his bride was around 14 if I am not mistaken. |
I hope only this boy was shining this girl. Some girls of 15 may already have boyfriends up to 25 years old. HML. |
falcon01:It may still not have worked if no ambulance service arrives within few minutes. But at least he might have had a tiny chance of making it. The Healthcare system is too poor. The chances of surviving such (most likely heart attack) outside of a very well equipped hospital in Nigeria is close to zero. |
Most things Na fake about 9ja Na. Honest people just suffer. Even those with genuine certificates most aspects of their CV will be fake. |
Broom, brewing.... Next is cauldron. Is it a witch party or what? ![]() |
Bfarm:Nice. |
HML. Sadly at times na these kind pampered women dey worse pass. May all caring & romantic men and women get a partner that is worth it. |
Rip. |
The guy acted like a typical Nigerian politician. Self-interest and any form of power above national interest. Any govt in power. Better for him still, a Northerner was head of state instead of MKO. He has been in one position/office or the other since then. |
Does this girl have any genuine friend or family to advise her? Or she's just too kolo to heed advise? Marriages collapse daily. It doesn't matter why. People move on positively. She should just stop this toxicity before it harms her son. |
Oshigun:So coup plotters that raped our democracy like Buhari is not enemy within? All the looting politicians across the land are not enemy within? The hate directed at GEJ/PDP by the North & many in SW/APC was acceptable as freedom of expression, but hate speech if directed at Buhari/APC? Please see your hypocrisy. |
Hotfreezer:Lol, so each time you comment on topics on NL, you are appointed spokesman by a group of people? Abeg go siddon one place my friend. Look, realistically, did Ojukwu have a chance of winning? You think Igbo are naive not to know people people contesting out of principle and those who can realistically win? Don't be a low grade hypocrite. By and large, most Igbo given a chance at the centre have acquitted themselves creditably. We should call a spade a spade. Late Prof. Dora Akunyili, NOI, Madam due process, Kema Chikwe, Leslye Obiora, Frank Nweke, and more have performed well since 1999. Their yearning for Biafra is due to failure of Nigeria. Virtually everyone is frustrated with Nigeria. |
The fair thing is that after 24 years of democracy in 2023, presidency should go to SE. All major parties should have an Igbo presidential candidate. Like the all Yoruba affair in 1999. I am not Igbo but we cannot continue to do as if we are still fighting Biafra war. |
babatope88:He is a very bad 'shild' and 419. ![]() |
franchasng:The genesis of Nigeria's problems. It's something Nigerians conveniently forget. We have under-estimated Northerners but they have always demonstrated their political sagacity and manipulation of so-called better educated Southerners. When you consider how a mere foreign itinerant Muslim preacher managed to unseat and defeat long established Hausa kings and kingdoms. |
HML. YNWA 24/7 though. We are not thugs at Pool like Ramos. |
OK. |
JubrinElSudan:I know people who died suddenly 6 and 4 years ago respectively. The 6 years one was a young lady. She still gets tens of birthday wishes every year. Despite me writing on her wall each birthday that she's dead. For over 5 years now. |
liberalchick:Let's face the fact. Some religions require women to cover up fully knowing how female body can attract men. We pray God not to lead us into temptation. Sexual temptation is one of the biggest. The young lady is not even his sister-in-law. She's the wife's cousin. It could be 3rd, 4th or 5th cousin once removed, who knows? Blood ties between the two ladies is far enough for the young squatter to have an ulterior motive. At this point, it's irrelevant whether he finds the amply endowed young woman attractive or not. What's important is how he handles the situation from now. If he's concerned about directly telling his wife, don't blame him. He knows her more than us. He built the trust by refusing two of his wife's (girlfriend by then) friends. He cannot squander that capital by saying what the wife might interpret wrongly. Women routinely interpret men's motives wrongly. I think he should tell the girl to dress decently in the house in his wife's presence. Maybe at dinner time together. Politely but firmly. He can use religion to teach that people are required to dress modestly always. If the wife is smart she'll pick up on it and advice her cousin. |
wjajjajjkkj:Na wa. |
Ayade partly has a point. If our Federal officials are so mediocre and crude, even rewarding mace snatchers, I wonder how the LG ones will be like. Zero idea of financial management or raising IGR. |
Lagosians are very dirty. No single environmental awareness. No sugar-coating it. Any governor will struggle to make headway. Fashola made a huge difference because Lagos was absurdly dirty. And he tried better than most. |
martineverest:And then steal the mace, abi? Nothing new. Seen it all before. Buhahahahaha! ![]() |
Let me pretend that I believe this poo. See women and hypocrisy. You forgive your daughter but not your child's dad. Why judge a man who's not your blood more harshly than the man? Blood that is thicker than water should require/expect more loyalty too. I thought women sing of equality 24 hours? God so kind it was your daughter who engineered the plot. She might have pitied her lonely mother and decided to help. Both of you were never married and no law broken. It might not be morally great but it's not as rare as people think. If the man hadn't father the daughter's child probably nobody would ever have heard fiam. The man should go to court to secure his right to the kids. The world is very complex now. Since we have turned our back on our traditions (including taboos) and embraced foreign culture (wesstern law, ethics) and religions, we should take whatever comes our way. |
Ryan03:Hope you are right. Some girls do not ask and work BUT are quietly seething that you do not do what a man should be doing. That's how complex ladies are. Some won't ask directly. You only get to know if one day an argument breaks out. The consequence can be that she takes your poor financial commitment as a licence for her to cheat. Lots of girls juggle several men either to have options/plan ABC, or for the perks from the men. Unless you are very lucky to meet that extraordinary girl, do not celebrate too much that she's not billing you. |
Greystone:If you check well, councillors, agbero leaders and SUG presidents may even have. ![]() Nigeria bastardises everything. No wonder the passport has no value. |
Best way to write an exam. No noise or distraction. Just focus on your stuff I cannot imagine anyone not liking it. |
