Despicable. RIP little boy victim. |
It has tey since 9ja begin groove. And form hypocrisy to the youth. Whereas many of them "carried belle/impregnated someone" and that's how they got married. |
orunmila144:Absolute nonsense! Where did you study your Bible? Esoteric School? So Jesus that died for three days strayed from the path of prudence? Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and even Lazarus in the new testament? |
OCHKESTINE:Oh really? So the hundreds of cases we know where a girl is forced to sleep with 10 to 20 men at night during initiation is all a lie. You lot can launder image all you like but confessions of arrested members abound already. I have heard personally from some previous members too. Even a Lai Mo cannot undo that. |
BornnAgainChild:If indeed he has found Christ. Only God knows. But generally rape is normal ritual in cult groups. To initiate. |
In Nigeria, we are yet to grasp the true scale of poverty, social injustice, moral decay, greed and hopelessness. This is what corruption, poor leadership and public apathy have brought upon us. Women and the youth bear the brunt. This gruesomely murdered lady represents those daughters, sisters, wives and mothers secretly into prostitution to make ends meet. Whether the traditional way in secret or "dating" multiple men. It could be any of the other women next time. In probably over 90% of cases, their family members never find out. Unless something like this happens. It's something we do not accept exists BUT it does. That monster should rot in jail. RIP. |
sirdouglas:Let me first address the twin stuff. As a man, you can have twins all around you in the family, it still doesn't increase your chances of having twins yourself. While you might possibly have the gene, you do not ovulate. So you cannot increase your chances. But if you have the gene and pass it on to your daughters, they will have double the chances (through hyper-ovulation) of twins compared to those women without the gene. That only goes for fraternal (non-identical) twins. Genetics play little role in identical twins because it happens randomly. So do DNA test when babies are born if you have any doubt. Up to 40% of first born kids belong to another man outside. Lots of girls juggle several boyfriends these days. Now to the matter. Well, by now you know you should have used contraception and other mistakes you made. So no need flogging the issue. As it stands, since you have said you cannot marry the lady for several reasons, do not marry her out of pity. Both of you will be unhappy if you do. If the babies turn out to yours, it will complicate your life no doubt. But that's the price of indecision regarding letting her go when you wanted her to go. But it's not all bad. Get your parents involved. Try to reach an agreement with her and her family about the way forward. It may not be easy but can be done. Sort out financial commitment towards the upkeep of the kids. Do not panic. If you can suspend the traditional stuff about child recognition until after DNA test do so. Unless you are ready to accept the babies whether they are yours or not. |
eagleeye2:Financial love crime. ![]() Scammers are everywhere, male & female. Many here on Nairaland. Most prey on those with a good heart. But they only incur bad luck/bad karma for themselves las las. |
Nice. |
tyup:In colonial days promotion was not easy. Most local soldiers were not commissioned. Only few went to Sandhurst in UK to train to attain commissioning. To reach sergeant rank sef nor be beans. |
Hycon:I NEVER watch female wrestling. I watch female football nowadays because most can kick the ball like men. Bronze, Parris & White of England, Rapinoe & Morgan of USA and others will shame lots of footballers. I do not watch to ogle their body. |
Abfinest007:AFCON 1994 Olympic gold 1996. Prime Minister Cup (Turkey/Fernabace) Ataturk Cup (Turkey) Champion's Trophy (PSG France) UEFA Intertoto Cup (PSG France). AFCON Golden Boot 2004. Not to mention AFCON best player 2004 and numerous other personal awards. He had a great career. Remember Europe was not as open for foreign players as it is now. Okocha started from a third tier club called Borussia Neunkirchen in 1990. There were many good players who never made it out of third tier football back then. The world was a different place for African players in 1990. That is why George Weah has remained so grateful to Arsene Wenger for taking him to Monaco in 1988 where he was until 1992. Imagine if Okocha was taken from Enugu Rangers to Monaco in 1990. |
Reno is on point on this. In general loyalty is a rare thing now. Irrespective of gender. Some may seem loyal until they find an alternative. If bread is being better buttered elsewhere, OYO. |
modik:If you cared to read who I quoted, I was addressing issue of posterity. Yes social chaos blunts sense of justice. That's why in Nigeria today we tolerate injustice in whatever form because we have not socially evolved to the point we should have been by now. In fact as a kid, the genuine outrage was much more palpable when ballot stuffing happened in pre-Buhari military govt. Now outrage is only about political leaning. If you think you can exclude social conditions from justice, then you have a very little knowledge of history of nations doing well today. Have you not wondered why nations with better social justice also have better political systems/stability? Both mutually re-enforce each other. Not exclusive. |
J111333:Supposing the coming generations will not even be lazier yoot than the current one. Imagine kids Brought up by lazy yoot. ![]() They will probably have less sense of history and political awareness. Family members of my dad's generation were/arr very politically aware in their youth. Many were party agents and polling agents when I was a little kid. For various parties then. They discussed politics with much insight, with rivalry but no bitterness. Always gentle persuasion. Pitting the manifesto of one party against another. Now nobody cares about manifesto. Just where to best butter their bread. Yes, rigging did happen but on the scale since 1999. |
OP ensure your wife has no mood disorder. It appears you both had a better sex life previously. Try figure out why it changed. You said she's not stressed aside "looking after the children". That's a big job she does alone 5 days a week. Stressful. How old are you both, how many kids and their ages? The last two questions may be relevant to her developing mood disorder or not. If she has also become very emotionally detached, like not minding if you come for the weekend or not, not excited or happy too see you, there might be more to it. Time apart might have affected it. And hopefully she's not seeing someone else. |
I am beginning to suspect Ben Bruce o. ![]() |
Hmmmm. Not Buhari's fault but our democracy costs way too much to run. I wish Buhari wouid cut the cost of running the government drastically. At least FG that he has control over. That would be a true legacy. But of course the boys have to eat. So that will not happen any time soon. |
The absurd has become the norm. How this is able to co-exist with increasing religiosity is beyond me. Unlesss the whole religiosity stuff is just superficial. |
gregyboy:Not entirely correct. Oba of Benin forbade sale of Benin people by anyone and Benin people selling anyone. Around 200 years before Britain banned slavery in 1807. Infact a French slave trader confirmed in in his writing in the 1700s. That of the 100 slaves on sale en route Port of Gwatto (Ughoton), there was no single Benin slave or Benin trader. He mentioned there were Igbo, Yoruba and others. Other tribes in fringes of Benin Empire resisted ban of slave trade in their areas of the empire. So such an agreement was reached. Oba was head of state and therefore a politian. Leaders have to make unpalatable compromises for peace to reign. People claim Benin supported slavery because he supported Oba Kosoko of Lagos, who supported slavery. Kosoko was loyal to Benin. Lagos had own autonomy already from Benin already at this point. My hunch is that, just like narcotics today, some people would have probably illegally engaged in it. But upon pain of death. Just like people still traffic narcotics to Middle East and Asia now despite risk of being hung if caught. Banning of slavery made sense because Benin needed people to maintain a large army. You do not achieve that by selling people. Benin City has existed longer than Benin Republic as an established name. It used to be Dahomey. For foreigners, visiting a famed kingdom is far more interesting. Closest in attire to pharaohs of Egypt if you look carefully. Remember too that most would have done DNA test by now. It's fairly cheap in USA with a cheek/mouth swab sent by post. |
Guccified:By law in most countries those who make rape accusation are granted automatic anonymity. It is granted because society fears that most rape victims will not press charges otherwise. Some victims waive that anonymity and come forward. Women who come forward are considered brave considering the stigma, pressure from family not to, public scrutiny and innuendos, etc. This has led to people falsely accused of rape and acquitted in UK and other places campaigning that anonymity should be granted to the accused too until formally charged to court. Once adults are charged to court it becomes a public matter anyway. |
J111333:People will not hear o. No free lunch in Freetown. These days only very few treat other people's kids nicely. So believing your kid will be the lucky one is like playing lottery with young lives. |
Tuale Pale! Godfather of Igbo of gbogbo bad boys. Class is permanent. Including Igbo class. ![]() Baba is almost gone. They should worry about any disciples he might have. |
olamikhail:So there are many such schemes. Na wa o. People and quick money. |
Awesomefred32:Lol. ![]() |
Lol. |
Na wa o. |
tyson98:Before nko? If it wasn't true they would have all descended on Mrs Dakolo since. |
Beremx:The thing many pastors use to do their church members nor be small o. I fear pastors jazz more than babalawo. Some former pastors have confirmed while repenting that various devilish spiritual stuff are included: follow me, pull crowd, anointing, etc. All meant to make church successful and control the members like robots. Once hooked members become mumu. Some men know their wives sleep with their pastor yet cannot do anything or leave the church. We are in religious dark ages my brother. It is so bad that even women repeatedly raped by a pastor still come forward to defend same pastor. Their parents do same. As for the case, I cannot say it is true or not. But the way the lady kept quiet is not unusual in that environment. Shame, stigma, being branded a liar or used by the devil to bring a holyman down are some of the fears. |
lionlee216:Most of those banks are useless. Anyway they reflect the society. Even in 9ja an error caused by them caused me much hassle reactivating my account. Even at same bank they said go to branch that opened it. Even after telling them it was opened via email form scanning. It took three 9ja visits over two years. And only when I remembered I hhave a relative that used to work at the bank and he happens to know several senior people there. I would not have even bothered if it wasn't a dom account. Very useless set of people I tell you. I just forgot two other banks that are Naira accounts. One of them an account of over 20 years. Never again. |
5,000 years about Abraham and Sarah, women remain the same. They never say what they mean or mean what they say. |
