Very sad. RIP Sir. |
Abumadea:God bless you. He knows is it is cynically acceptable to most people of his colour in his own society to treat black people like that. To them their justification is that all blacks arevcriminals or potential criminals. Every time they see blacks being maltreated they like to convince themselves that he probably deserves it, if not for his own deeds then for what other black people like him have done. That is collective guilt. Of course at the heart of it all is bigotry. |
Ok. |
This road is actually FG road. There is always tussle between FG & state over this road, regarding who can or should be in charge. Because while far-removed FG quango elite are busy looting money, the people at the local level suffer neglect. The governor & LG come under pressure. Not that state govt and LG officials would actually do any better if they were in charge. But it becomes much more difficult to reach those responsible in far away Abuja. There is very big issue with environmental management. We can see the danger it poses. Some people in that axis were permanently driven out of their homes in the past. Side streets flooded and house uninhabitable. But Oshiomhole who is now close to those in charge in FG will not intervene. He'd rather be an attack dog until he's used and dumped. |

Olukat:The fact is the man has a hard life & is poor hence the complaints. If he was rich but below par in bed, the wife would try to bear it and or "codedly" cheat. You know the issues of poverty. A tired brick molder probably getting only "from hand-to-mouth" wages. With frustration. Which energy is left for a sizzling all night sex? If a man's life is hard, his wife (except God sent ones) typically makes his life even harder. A wife that makes your life hard cannot make your d!ck hard. Simple. |
IFearGod:They should have a look at TTC thread here on Nairaland also. Very busy. What the doctor explained is undiluted fact. |
Muyiwaipere:MuSiwa , the thing is ladies should not be doing shakara when still young and fertile. Cool down and pick a decent, hardworking guy, even if not rich yet. Because by the time you find the older guy who already has the wealth you crave or you have climbed up in your career, you might be 37, with already reduced fertility. If your guy is 47 and you are 37, risk of genetic conditions/chromosomal conditions including Down's syndrome & DiGeorge Syndrome, has also increased. |
Seychelles, Spain, Italy, Austria & Ireland are great too. Turkey & Cyprus equally nice. Morocco & Tunisia are interesting too. |
very sad. |
Na wa. |
Nice thread. |
Tough times for the economy. More investors likely to sell up as election approaches. |
Please see a reputable gynaecologist. In a teaching hospital if possible. Otherwise you will get very confusing and contradicting advice. The gynaecologist and the patient will decide together what the best treatment option for her case is. Note that her medical history, her symptoms, location & size of the fibroid and more will all be considered in that process to reach a decision. However, if her symptoms are severe and she wants complete relief without much chance of recurrence, surgical option may not be entirely avoidable. Fibroid do not always disappear or shrink greatly in some people upon reaching menopause as would be expected. It is therefore important not to ignore it in the hope that menopause will take care of it. |

gr8child:In Nigeria we are unable to separate morality, religious belief & law. Spice that up with police corruption and inadequate legal system (delayed court processes) and upholding justice becomes very difficult. An autopsy with toxicology report should clarify the cause of death, be it strangulation, trauma, heart attack, overdose of medicine, excess alcohol mixed with drugs or some other underlying illness, previously diagnosed or not diagnosed, etc. They should have taken blood from the suspect soonest to see if any drug that might be found in autopsy might be found in the man's blood too. But it seems to be gra-gra, focus on her marital status and probably an avenue to fleece the suspect's family of money. A human being is dead. What matters is finding out how she died and if indeed a crime led to her death. What we hear is marathon sex, why not Olympic sex? |
Wow! Some communities are very generous with titles o. ![]() |
greyham:They dare not report them o. No democracy anymore. |
seunmsg:The states are way too many and most are not viable. If Lagos, Rivers, AK, Delta were to provide even a second-world standard (Russia, China, Turkey, etc) of services to their residents, they world be nonviable. Much less states with less allocation/IGR. Time has come to face reality. Indebted states cannot develop. We are duplicating executive govt 36 times PLUS FG. A regional and LG system of government will do us better. Instead of 6 governors in Niger Delta or North-East, we need just one premier & deputy and one EXCO. LG will do the rest. As it is right now, states will keep spending most of the budget on recurrent expenditure. Is that how we are going to develop? |
Please nobody should resort to bigotry on this thread. It is a serious issue that can happen and does happen in many parts of the world. Many Africans/Nigerians are lured into misery abroad after being promised milk & honey. |
EsotericMonk:To me what he said is enough. If he said more, people will say he's envious of the commissioner. Or out on a vendetta. What he said is enough for the commissioner to change his attitude and indeed all public officers. On the other hand, Igbo people being some of the most ardent travelers, the said commissioner might be a diaspora Igbo who can barely speak Igbo. |
Just imagine this thing falls over and harm innocents driving or passing by, they will blame village people. |
How very sad. RIP to a true musical icon. |
Righteousness89:You know in Nigeria gra-gra and empty noisemakers rule the roost. Any gentle person is called mumu, hence we have a violent and disorderly country. For ethno-religious reasons, GEJ had enemies within his ranks. Some of the advisers he relied on were not meant to help him, but return power to the North. In any case although GEJ would have liked a second term in office, he wasn't desperate for it. |
classicfrank4u:See this 1980s clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGPOUp-WztU |
TundeBricklayer:From your table of deposits, it's: Lagos, FCT, Edo, Delta? |
odigbosky:They have no idea. Let them wallow in ignorance. Anyway some have no highly acclaimed pre-colonial history and high civilisation that they either resort to envy or have no regard for their own. Benin Kingdom will not only continue, it will also outlive Nigeria, just like it predated Nigeria by about 2000 years! Oba Ewuare II by virtue of foreign education, serving the nation across the world, business ventures, the class of people a prominent prince naturally was acquainted with, he has very many prominent and wealthy people able to be of assistance when needed. He was NOT suddenly made King. He was anointed the very moment he was born. That naturally made everyone he came across know him as future king. When many kings in Nigeria today could never even dream of becoming one. It is not a secret that Oba of Lagos uses his friend's private jet often. Nothing new. Oba is one of the busiest Nigerians. You just need to visit the palace & see. From receiving prominent people from across the world to settling disputes among his subjects, between communities, family members over inheritance, between politicians to foster peace and more. |
weyreypey:Does that make sense to you? Contempt out of nothing? It was OBJ who tried to be president by proxy. Everyone knows OBJ's domineering and overbearing attitude of "My way or the highway". OBJ was visiting Buhari at Aso Rock almost weekly soon after Buhari took over in 2015. Again becoming overbearing and under 3 years he became Bubu's antagonist again. If you do not take orders from OBJ you become his enemy. Better to be out of power than be someone's puppet. |
Interesting thread. |
