The hardship in Nigeria we read about can be reduced if people stop having too many children than they can care for. By waiting to have a stable source of income before adding a child into the pix if they go right ahead and marry.

It should be about respect and teamwork. In marriage, every hands must be on deck for the success of the union. Nobody should be living like a king or Queen...unless you both have money and can afford servant or maids.

As an international student, why didn't you leave the kids in Nigeria with your parents since it is temporary? My college has child care for staff and students so see if yours has one.
