Why are we still surprised that Africa is backward, you don't expect this kind of reply from sane people, unless of course there is a hidden catch.

My sister what do you think is the hidden catch.  undecided

@poster
From some statements above nigerians will not appreciate what you have just done.I advice to go to south africa or maybe ghana or any country that is interested in what you have just done to showcase your feat.Forget nigerians.

Why do so many Nigerians, in a bid to seem to be at par with the rest of the globe on seeming nonsensical issues, make up useless numbers and proclaim "we don win"? Instead of focusing on the truth of our situation, we ignore them and shout "5 Million Nigerians Worth More Than $1 Million Dollars!". In a country that abhors statistics, how was this number determined? Nobody in Nigeria keeps statistics on say, the number of women afflicted with breast cancer, yet some otemus claim to know the number of millionaires in Nigeria? Why do Nigerians use anecdotal evidence (one, two or three instances of an event) to make conclusions. This crude way of drawing conclusions (with no form of data collection) must be linked to the very high levels of ignorance in Nigeria
Chei knowall don suffer grin

The question is, who usually forms such alliances? I have been in many threads that have lively discussions/debates going on, totally devoid of sentiments, and then all of a sudden a northerner makes a remark that another member disagrees with, and before you know it, alliances are formed and he is denounced as a gworo chewing illiterate. in fact the ardent zeal with which a particular NLder goes about attacking northerners has seriously caused me to question her sanity.

2, Under no circumstance will I kill a Nigerian (Muslim or Christian)

A strong goverment participtaion in business helps any economy, it stimulates the economy, that is why Obama is going to spend $900 billion on various goverment contract.

And people ask me why i feel nigeria is an enterprise people make money from.

@Super boi,

Big deal dey, you should be proud to be a Nigerian.

I don think you can see another African country where u have about 5 million of its citizens worth over $ a million dollars. So there is big deal in that, I remember about a year ago I was travelling to Nija, and I met one ex-minister and his son in the airport, I knew the son we were just jisting and I asked him are you flying on this flight and he said yeah but they are flying 1st class, I said OK i see. His father was a minister during Babangida's regime more than 17 years ago. I later asked the airline out of curiousty how much was 1st class ticket and they quoted £8,000.00, I said to myself some peole get money for this Naija, Imagine a father paying £16,000.00 for a flight to lagos when they could have done the same journey for £800.00 for the both of them.
@knowall
Are you celebrating looters?

The fact is Nigeria can sort out its Electricity problem in 24 hours the ruling class has chosen not to deal with this problem. When Atikus's wifes business is to import Generators to Naija, why would the husband sort out electricty problem. If a rich man chooses to live in a mud hut you cannot blame anybody.
@knowall
Can you not see where the 'leaders' are looting making the money to buy those lands.Is that to be celebrated?
Politics › Re: Igbo President - Name Your Choice by asha80(m): 10:59am On Feb 05, 2009
My choice of the president from the south south will be Donald Duke. He's one of the only credible politician in the south south and also capable of getting things done. He has more pros than cons. I personally want the south south to get there in the next election.

That being said, I think we should invite a foreigner to rule. Some well established African American will do. That or I think the British should take over. I personally will vote for anyone I find capable not based on tribe. But I doubt people really think like I do so it's almost hopeless to elect a leader. 150 million people with ethnic, religious differences can never vote a real leader cause of sentiments.
Is this not the same 9jaganja that is always saying naija is the best country in the world huh.A foreigner to come and rule naija?wWhat an irony.

Yeah right, my point is fanatical peeps killed those people,
That does not mean every single hausa person is a potential killer,
Afterall there are tons of hausa christians
My guy why dodging the question?Why would they do it to their fellow 'countrymen' who know next to nothing about the drawing or even where denmark is?Are there not fanatical igbo christians?Have you lived in the core north before?If you have not then go and sit down.

Can you give me ONE good reason as to why christians(mainly igbos) were killed in the north because of the cartoon of Mohammed that was drawn in Denmark?A sfor the Afghanistan incident i leave udezue to answer that.

Nigeria is the best country on earth. People just can't see it. What makes it best is that I can jump into a river in without the cops waiting for me to come out. What makes Nigeria interesting is that, anyone is welcome. What makes Nigeria interesting is the diversity and so many things to learn from other people. Nigeria's potential is set to create a civilization.
Everytime potential.When will it become 'kinetic'?

But come o, why not vote these pastors into office?? Them chris Okotie them and all?? What's wrong with voting the pastors in??
grin cheesy grin cheesy grin What a statement

He killed Tafawa Balewa i think.
And we can't elect a pastor because the big boys in power won't agree. Do you really believe Yar'Adua won the elcetion. Even if he did, not with that margin.

Politics › Re: Igbo President - Name Your Choice by asha80(m): 8:20pm On Feb 04, 2009
Jumobi @ the same time, why are igbo's obsessed with being president?? Afterall we have governors who are igbo's who rule their respective states,  They haven't proven to me that they can rule their states well, why should we now entrust them to rule the country??
One can make the case that neither have the yorubas/hausas shown the same but yeet they are being allowed to rule,  But two wrongs don't make a right, last time i checked,
If i may ask you why are hausa/fulani view themselves as born to rule.Two wrongs do not make a right indeed.

@ Yorubas are just some useless punks. I am not Igbo but I cant be a NIGERIAN and see one tribe hating another so much. These Yoruba people are so parochial. screaming out loud that an Igbo can never be Naija president. WHy the hell do they hate Igbos so much ? Is it envy of just hate ? Yoruba people have been southern Naija problem all these while. As we grow older we realize this. If the east had not voted OBJ the muerderer he would not have won. infact, Ekweme was the actual winner of that election. Yorubas have only proved to the world that they are nothing but bunch of hating gays,

My dad has said it from the beginning, btw am igbo. That igbo people are not cut out for politics, even before the British came we culdn't accept any official Eze over us. We are allergic to leadership of any form, thererfore we can't even unite under one leader. That is why igbos should concentrate on growing the economy, that is what we are good @. Moreover, show me an igbo leader that is not corrupt and i will show you the mansion he built in his village. Seriously I am of the firm belief that only an akata can rule naija faithfully, @ least we'll know that the person no get any reason 2 support any tribe, Una no gree??
What a funny statement.Show me the mansion Micheal okpara built for himself?You must show evidence

If you believe in a system or a cause you will work hard for that cause.How many of the so called nigerian leaders have their children in the countries schools especially universities even the ones we are saying are perfoming well?Why is it that most nigerians are waiting to see when they will get to power so that they can grab their own 'national cake'?Have you forgotten or you did not hear that a northern nigerian senator once said to foreign diplomats that they are the real nigerians?
As far as iam concerned i stand by what i said.Nigeria is a country without a soul.
Politics › Re: What Will You Say Is Nigeria's Problem by asha80(m): 9:56pm On Feb 03, 2009
I have saif this before and i will continue to say it

Most nigerians see nigeria as enterprise to make money from and NOT a country to build and serve because there is no feeling of nationhood amongst its people
