Height of confusion.
I am igbo and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a Yoruba attire. For what na?
When I am not mad or suffering from cultural confusion or inferiority.
And what about English? Do you have a couple of shirts and trousers, or skirts and blouse, if you like?

We are good at catching them young, thereafter we don`t know how to make the best use of them.

In his last league appearance, a BBC presenter had asked why he is not given the honour and eulogy he deserves by the British media considering how good he is. Martin Keown`s answer? Because he is not British. But can we really complain when our almighty Super Eagles managers are not fully appreciative of him. He is too foreign to be fully appreciated in England and he is too young to be fully appreciated at home. The typical story of a Nigerian talent!

Buhari is technically a goat.. Not surprised.

The man is the real '2face'..
So much bigotry in one man.
The sooner we clear this vermin off our system, the better.
How can we continue like this till 2019?

Electing Buhari was the WORST mistake we ever made, ever!!!!

He is a nincompoop, a bomboclatt!!!

He is just a little bit less wicked than the devil. Are we going to remain like this till 2019? God forbid!!!

Oh Lord, we have recognised the punishment you gave to us in the form of Mumuhammaddu Buhari, and we ask that you forgive us. We will elect a better person next time. Forgive us lord!

Buhari is a BIGOT!
Had Jonathan stepped down and allowed Ribadu to be the flag-bearer for PDP in 2015, what do you think would have happened? People see whatever they want to see, but most people knew that Jonathan was heading for a defeat yet most of the people lamenting here would not take no for an answer. In other words, the better candidate won a general election last year and we must respect his mandate till next time around.

If it is a well-known fact, there should be numerous well-known authentic source, I tried searching but I could not get any... Slaves were taken by white men from all the coasts of west and east Africa and NOT just Igboland... don't peddle false information!
I can assure you that many 10 years old know that most African-Americans are from Igboland, and most blacks you see in Brazil and Cuba today are from Yorubaland. Whenever you find that out, you can get in touch.

Their near-world domination was at the height of the Victorian Era. Victoria died four - five generations before Elizabeth II's coronation. For now the Queen mother is more an overseer of former colonies than an actual ruler. She doesn't even make impactful policies in England anymore, her role is reduced to being a symbol of days of yore.

You are still missing it. Integrity and flawlessness are not the same. Flawlessness is never listed as a quality of leadership, but integrity is listed among the core attributes of a leader.
You are the first human being I know that would think that someone with a high sense of duty is lacking integrity, just because he mispoke a couple of times.

Have a good evening.

PoliticsRe: No One Can Force Any Senator Out Via Protest-Senator Ali Ndume by ATERI(m): 3:45pm On Apr 27, 2016
kcnwaigbo:
The leader of the Senate, Mohammed Ali-Ndume, said on Tuesday that no amount of protest would force any legislator to resign.

Mr. Ndume was reacting to a protest by the “Occupy National Assembly” group, calling for the resignation of the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki.

Mr. Ndume said there is a democratic process of recalling any senator, adding that protest was not the constitutionally recognised process.

He described the protest as a “wrong precedence and anti-democratic’’.

“That is why we are not trying to say anything about them because what is happening out there is a very dangerous precedence that we are trying to set.

“I contested to represent Borno South.

“I did not force myself on my people and therefore somebody out there, especially the one that did not elect me cannot force me out because I didn’t come in by force.

“I came in by ballot not by gun, not by placard, I have posters not placards.

“So, if for example, I am short of performance and my constituents feel that they do not have time to waste, there is a clear-cut process by which they can ask me to be recalled.

“They will collect signatures, ask for me to be recalled, that is the democratic way, not by coming in here to stand and say you want to occupy NASS.

“You occupy NASS to do what, to be leader or to be senator? It does not work that way,” he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the protesters stormed the National Assembly to demand the resignation of Mr. Saraki.

The protesters; “Occupy National Assembly” also called on the legislators to conclude all issues on the 2016 budget, return their luxury cars and cut their N115 billion budget.

However, another group was also on ground to counter the call for Mr. Saraki’s resignation, saying the group calling for his resignation was anti-Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: I Will Run For Presidency Under PDP In 2019 – Lamido by ATERI(m): 3:36pm On Apr 27, 2016
Deadlytruth:
This is not really about role modelling but integrity. Integrity is being able to stand for a principle or idea whether wrong or right without allowing circumstances of personal interest to at any time interfere with your commitment to that principle. To that effect even the likes of Hitler and Abacha had integrity though in pursuit of wrong courses, but Ribadu has no integrity as he forcefully said things which he later never stood with. Imagine someone telling Atiku in very strong and passionate language that only Atiku's immunity prevented him from jailing him only for Atiku's immunity to expire while he still had the power to jail him as he had claimed but ended up pretending he never said so about Atiku. You call that integrity?
In fact when people accused him of pursuing only OBJ's enemies he broke down in tears in order to emotionally substantiate his denial of political witch-hunting thus reinforce the claim that Atiku and Tinubu were actually corrupt and therefore deserved his onslaught as EFCC boss. While those crocodile tears ran down his incredulous cheeks he argued that Atiku was his fellow Adamawa brother and therefore ostensibly suggesting that he even had every reason to shield Atiku from persecution but chose not to consider his brotherly ties with him as a mark of his integrity. But after the expiration of Atiku's immunity the man turned a blind eye and never opened Atiku's file again obviously because there was no longer the need to please OBJ.
I asked that question because I wanted to practically demonstrate to you that, there is no perfect or flawless leader anywhere in the world. As far as Nigeria is concerned, as long as the President continues to appoint our corruption tsar, allegation of hypocrisy and double standard would always be levelled. No-one can fight the corrupt all of the time.

I hope to find answers with the test, because I KNOW I am WEST AFRICAN, but that's not enough for me, I need to know where my bloodlines came from, its very important to me to find peace living and being brought up in this horrible country. (usa) angry

But anyway, what do you guys think?? smiley
Really nice to read this and a pleasure contributing.

Indeed, most African-Americans were from Igboland. So bear in mind that the people that sold their children for over 300 years must have certain characteristics that remain with them for ever. Those characteristics manifest themselves today in the way Nigerian leaders treat Nigerians. In other words, the politicians are the ones doing what the traditional rulers of Igboland and Yorubaland used to do. Few people see the resources of the majority as their personal property and live large on it; at the core of our problem is greed! So be prepared that the type of social recklessness you are running away from is very much present in Nigeria.
Nigeria is always going to look good for someone that come from the West considering the fact that what the West shows about Africa is totally negative which in turn discourage African-Americans from associating with ugly Africa, so you won`t be disappointed when you visit Nigeria for the first time. It is a little bit like America already, in the sense that it`s a nation of extreme-extreme wealth cheek by jowl with extreme poverty.

Please don`t be bothered by the few wrong-headed ones that would say negative stuff here. Just be patient, you will soon find out that your Igbo people are the specialists in that, but not exclusively so. Nigeria is about half of the population of the US ( over 150 million of us ) so you are always going to find some crazy and tribalistic ones around.

I think the best way forward is to visit Nigeria first as a tourist and use that opportunity to familiarize yourself with the environment. Trust me, one month would be enough for such a familiarization visit. Whatever you want to do is possible in Nigeria, especially if you plan to be self-employed, but is better to see the challenges yourself before making up your mind about relocation. I understand that there is more to life than regular water and electricity supply, but I can assure you that life is not easy when you can`t take essentials like that for granted
If you have any problem along the way please feel free to let us know, even if we are not in Nigeria at that point in time we can introduce you to those that are. I`m sure you will strike up friendship with many reliable people here. At the same time don`t be too trusting. Good luck!

In matters of integrity which is so central to leadership qualification the question of being human and mortal has no place. If we would excuse Ribadu's moral failure on the grounds of being human then Abacha, OBJ, Atiku, Anenih, Dasuki, Tinubu, Amaechi, Fashola, Kalu, and even Buhari, and all the first and second republic figures, etc could as well, on the grounds of mortality, be excused for their moral failures which has contributed to the mess in which Nigeria finds itself today.
Are you sure you are not taking this too far? You are putting Adolf Hitler wannabe like Abacha in the category of Nuru Ribadu. Deadlytruth, do you mind telling me your political role model both at home and around the world?

God bless you! The reason why Jega would not be good for Nigeria is because he is too gentle and too nice. Nigeria needs a head-banger, a benevolent dictator, a cross between Obafemi Awolowo and Odumegu Ojukwu, if you like. It`s only Ribadu that comes close.

It is rather about confirming what you know about Ribadu which is different from what we already know about him. A man who, as EFCC boss, claimed Tinubu's corruption was of international dimensions, claimed AC meant Alliance for corruption and claimed PDP was full of men of integrity, only for him to, just four years later, join that Alliance for Corruption, fly its flag, denied he ever accused Tinubu of corruption and then started blaming the same PDP for all Nigeria's woes. Are these inconsistencies in him what you call leadership qualities? That's why I asked you to list what leadership qualities you alone know about him.
Everything you`ve mentioned here simply confirms that Ribadu is human. I think you and I should spend more time studying what usually happens to a moral man in an immoral society.
