So that's like 40/60 questions?

Not necessarily. I don't know about TEF but for TCF the last couple of questions carry the highest marks failing the last 3 alone takes one to B2/C1. The first ten have the least marks.

Well done on your other results and sorry about the EE.

Your last point is actually covered on the very first link of page 1 of this TEF thread and on many other posts. People use B2 the same way they use 7 in IELTS....the assumption is that applicants know the CLB equivalent of their scores.

https://www.nairaland.com/4672912/all-tef-candidates-canada-immigration/127#100931458

You can definitely do this! There is a trick to EE though. Read through here for dialectic writing and research more yourself. Some people say EE in TCF is easier, if you want to consider that.

I thinks it's CE for her. Yes, it's true you do need 450 and above. I tend to just remove the B2/C1 thing from my head and focus on the 450 and above score sheet.

You dey mind am? Funny set of people. Maybe she no fit afford the school. I finished from the same school and I passed very well. I was able to travel out because of the results. The only thing about Tobidam is their rates maybe quite different from some other schools and tutors. But they are faster in my experience, straight to the point, very effective and have other extra free benefits. If u can afford their services, which in my opinion is cheaper than the foreign tutors I tried before, go for it, if not go elsewhere.Wahala no dey there. There are people who will use Apple while others will use Android. It depends on what u want. Coming online to say such is coming from a place of bitterness. Ask the person, if he/she ever attend the school, you will find out, they never. That was the perception they gave me too before I decided to try for myself to see and I got what I wanted.

I was being sarcastic actually... Tobidam seems to have a "reputation" on the mean streets of French nairaland.
However, I've never used the school and while the rates seemed above and beyond for me, maybe it isn't for others.
Let everyone choose what's best for them.

Please, I need you to help me.
For a married woman that wants to do WES evaluation, is it the name on the certificate that she will use for her profile or her husband's name?

A search showed that you should use the name on your passport and/or your certificate.
Keep your marriage certificate hand as proof of your marriage for IRCC.
Let our ogas weigh in though.

Has anyone tried typing accented french on Microsoft word before? How did you navigate the challenge?

You can try out Bon patron. There are accented keys. Although you have you use the mouse and yes as @79733139 said, it does slow you down.
Someone told me that it's a close second to the keyboard used on the exam day. I haven't confirmed this though.

Please, is it possible to get 2023 past questions for TCF? Anything like that?

Please check Telegram and Facebook(TCF).
For CE and CO, If you haven't, do try to get a subscription on Formation TCF or TCFCA.
There are also EE and EO questions on there.

Bonne chance.

I'm trying to avoid anything Paper based testing and stick with electronic means. I know Canada accepts both. I was trying to confirm which of them supports CBT for
all categories that would be tested.

As of July 16 2023, they are both E-based.
Except you're not taking the exam in Nigeria.

Please, I would like to take the French test that supports Computer based testing for all categories. TEF or TCF?

Thanks.

They both work. TEF Canada and TCF.
Preference is up to you and how well you know the test formats.

The scores in the pool runs up to 1200 although it's highly unlikely to get that but those are with the addition of the PNP folks.
I believe the cutoff is the important score to know.
Except I didn't get your question.

Hello everyone! I'm facing a situation regarding my previous Canada application, and I could use some guidance. I was recently refused Canada work visa using a specific work history but I have discovered another pathway which requires me stating another work experience which I have but didn't disclose in my initial application. I'm now considering applying again, but I'm unsure how to navigate this situation. I would greatly appreciate any insights, suggestions, or experiences you could share to help me proceed effectively. Here are a few specific questions I have:

1. Has anyone encountered a similar situation where they had additional work experience not included in their initial Canada application?

2. What steps should I take to ensure transparency and accuracy when reapplying with this new work experience?

3. Are there any specific guidelines or protocols to follow when presenting this new work experience in my application?

4. How should I address the fact that I didn't disclose this experience in my previous application? What impact could it have on my reapplication?

5. Are there any potential risks or complications that I should be aware of when reapplying with additional work experience?

I value your insights and experiences, and any advice or suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your assistance in navigating this situation.

I believe you'd get more advice and suggestions on the express entry thread.

That's the transaction we're talking about... In the 60s, home training and a nice enough appearance(child-bearing hips hello?) plus succinct family approval was the yard stick... It still is, money from a woman's perspective not so much... That part embedded deep in the very fibres of our beings that searches out a suitable provider(women) and a suitable homemaker(for men). What constitutes a suitable provider and suitable homemaker from the psychological and physical point of view, will differ just as much as I differ from you.

We can nitpick qualities from now till they kingdom come. Just hope and pray you find someone "right" enough for you.

I don't even understand your claim.

Money is number one most people look at, honour or value will now later come into play.

Everybody wants a comfortable life, so there's nothing like real love if money is not involved.

Money is the oga patapata of them all both home and abroad, rich or poor.

He said it's a serious consideration not the number one...
I wish we understand that when it comes to homo sapiens, it's not often black and/or white, there is a big grey area.

While we are shaped by nature, yes even in the 21st century, the female DNA is honed to go after the best provider, for her and her progeny. Yet, we are intelligent beings and therefore economic, ethnic and societal norms and shifts come into play...

All in all, try shine your eye when it comes to people.

What level do you think you are?
There are some quick online tests you can check to confirm.

For classes, we have some tutors on the thread, IEF, Alliance Française and some private tutors.

Hi everyone,

For someone that plans to take the TEF exams to boost CRS scores, is it best practice for the person to take in-person classes at an institution like Alliance Francaise or another similar one first OR can the person skip that and go with a personal tutor and self-directed learning from the beginning? The person I am enquiring for is a beginner, with no knowledge of French at all. He is giving himself a target of 10 months. Do you think it is feasible for a beginner that plans to use a personal tutor and put in the time to study as well?

Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

Yes, I believe it's possible. Why? Because we have testimonials right here on this thread.
But will it be possible for your person to do it in 10 months? That will be totally up to him and his learning rate. 10 months is a good time to put in full-time energy.

As for the school, the issue with Alliance Française (AF) used to be the speed of their classes, it was slow for some. I believe they have solved that with accelerated classes for people who need a faster pace, and honestly, it probably doesn't get better with a foundation from AF.

For the tutor, this seems like the best option to me, one-on-one sessions, no distractions, no sharing of the time with other learners, tailored teaching. It might be more expensive and it's more than important to get the right tutor off the bat.
The "wrong" tutor will be detrimental even.
So if he gets a good tutor, and is willing to do the work...

sad sad sad

Nigerians go through worst form of torture in the hand of the police, BBC did'nt hear of it, its monkey torture they are headlining.

The british empire an a whole has no moral compass to talk about torture in view of what africans went through and still going through in their hand. All stolen fund from here end up in britain, we only hear of it when the sharing formula becomes an issue because they always gun for the lion share

This issue of whataboutism is a terrible plague on a lot of Nigerian minds I see... There's no topic without highlighting another not necessarily detrimental to the other...

Oga two issues can exist independent of each other...
African problems are for us to solve.
It's 2023. Our presidents are borrowing more in a world that has never been freer, further (financially) enslaving further generations, others have moved to a point where torturing other higher forms of life make the headline...
