Okay boss,

what if the money transfered to the applicant gets witdrawn by de source immediately de statement is printed, does it fly?
While i personally would not vehemently advise withdrawing the money totally, it's your money and the may be a situation to attain to pressing needs. Statement is ONLY to show officers that YES, there is money to meet their funds requirements and YES i can generate sufficient amount to pay for subsequent year(s) if program is more than 1 year. That's about it. You can withdraw your money if you choose to.

Officers will use the statements they have to make their judgements.
However, endeavour to have funds for your study readily available as declared. That eventually will be the bases upon which a study permit is approved. At any point in time, you may be called upon to show evidence that funds claimed is still available for you.

Best regards.

@SPOILT9JAOLOSHO
Sure. It doesn't have to be a the sponsor making the payment. Once traces can be established that indeed sponsor has shown commitment, it's fine. Money can be transferred to applicant to make payment and further pointers to this effect can be a sentence or two in the sponsorhip letter/affidavit.

okay bro

but i heard someone say oanda isnt accurate most times, do i go ahead & use it for conversions then print it out 2 add for submission?
If you want to,fine. They will still do their conversions regardless. Oanda and other online conversion websites use the official exchange rates of individual countries. Most embassies too use official rates for conversion and they use online conversion tools. Atleast, i can confirm this.

Good Day nairalanders,
Please can i use my mum's maternal cousin has a sponsor for my trv application. She doesn't have any dependant. We don't bear the same surname.
I'm currently in a fix concerning this because my mum has more of fixed assets than liquid cash so the statement of accounts won't reflect required amount needed
You can use anybody that is willing to fund your studies. In this case of your mum's maternal cousin, let him/her pay your tuition and then transfer a good amount of cash to you.

You shouldn't be in a fix. You've been frequent on this thread and i believe you have been well informed concerning these issues. You need LIQUID cash to show for your tuition and expenses to meet the requirements of available and sufficient funds. Since your mum has more of fixed assets, use her cousin and in a brief, let his/her state the reason for sponsoring you. Add an affidavit of sponsorship as well. You should be fine.

Hello gurus.
Guys getting admission TRV, funding and all sorts.. God your son is here too ooo..

House abeg. I applied to three schs already (Mun, Saskatoon and Novia scotia) with 4.07/5 GPA. And am waiting patiently for admission meanwhile my MUN application is incomplete because because of my academic reference.(That my lecturer dull me sha). Chances of admission??

Being positive, av gt abt 4.5M personal with abt 8M from sponsor. (Same surname bro) Wat are my chances of TRV..

Thanks to that wonderful guru yet to provide me with lovely answers.
Thanks again
Actually, it is only the admission commitee of the 3 schools you applied to that can tell your chances of being admitted in these schools. While you patiently wait for their decisions, be hopefull.

Secondly, your chances of TRV will also be dependent on a lot of factors and one VERY important one is funds which you have mentioned. You can only know how sufficient it would be when you have been admitted and the tuition fees for your program qouted.

Hopefully, these sum will cover your tuition and living expenses of 10,000CAD for atleast a year.

Good evening everybody. My name is Kingsley
n i' m 34years old married with a baby girl. My question is dis. At my age, is it possible to apply for graduate study in Canada n admission given and visa.Note: 2:1 in Computer Science from Unilag since 2010.(intermediate java programmer) I learnt they use age as a critetia in giving admission and vids?
I dont have a job presently. Talk yo me as i need you advice
It is very possible and a matter of fact, you even stand a good chance of getting a master admission with your 2:1 grade. You need to start looking out for schools that offer IT courses of your interest. Check their requirements and apply. This is the first step to begin the process. You can google through a couple of schools in canada or check the first page of this part 12 and find the link to a more narrowed search.

Once you have established schools that match your interest, meet their requirements and apply. Age has nothing to do with a higher degree. As regards your visa application, age still has little or no effect as long as your overall situation as a visa applicant is more inclined towards being a better person careerwise or academically.

Depending when you completed undergraduate, all study gap must properly be explained. Have this in mind in your quest to get admitted and eventually apply for a study visa. Your current activity must align with your intended program, it must present a need to attain more knowledge as a means to improve your progressive achievements hence you MUST choose rightly.

Get started, at any point you need help, do yourself some good to ask, you will find useful ones here.

All the best to you.

Happy Sunday everyone. I am about to submit my docs, I am self employed i just need to get some necessary ideas about home ties with my business. Apart from Family and properties, what other things do i need?
You just answered yourself. Your business is also a good home tie. Do well to include all relevant documents to buttress it's existence and your ownership. CAC docs and all.

Austinpee4, I have a deed of assignment where myself, the seller and a laywer signed to show the exchange of the piece of land. Isn't that enough? I haven't had time to go change the documents in my name. If they do background check , they would see the seller's name and he prepared the deed of assignment that I want to use. Isn't the deed of assignment powerful enough to take care of all these?

Cc Yemdogg, penitential, folaroyal etc
Eraytee:
Notarized the deeds of agreement, submit the survey too. CofO is not easily come by like that. U should be good with the deeds of agreement notarized
This post by @Eraytee is a good advise as regards the deed of assignment/agreement but then, if you can't notorize it, just add it that way. The lawyer signature has made the document legally binding.

And also like i mentioned earlier, any document that is not in your name is actually not yours.

So, depending on your position/capacity in the signed deed, Your stake should be clear on a claim or should prove and show that you have strong connection to the asset(s) as a tie to nigeria. This should be the essence of including the document.
Besides, If you have family members in nigeria, It is a strong hometie, so relax and give yourself no further headache.

Greetings to you guys. I have important question to ask here. Is it compulsory to add payslip when applying for study visa?
Thanks.
If you are working, you should add it. It is not COMPULSORY however but necessary depending on your case as presented in your study permit application. Any activity you claim should be proven with documentation. If work is your current activity, then it will be advisable you add the payslip.

Hi guys,

Please, I need your opinion. I got a land 6 months ago from a friend and have not bothered to do the change of ownership in my name. I got it from my childhood friend and so wasn't scared or in a haste to change the name on the land documents to my name. We just have a deed of assignment. Can I use this deed of assignment and the land documents with his name on it? Or do I forget using this land document since my name is not on it? I have no other personal asset I can use.

Cc austinpee4, folaroyal, Yemdogg, Michv, penitential and any one who can help.
Any asset(s) that is not in your name is NOT yours. So it's either you do the change of ownership to yourself or use the other asset you own.

Bro, you can only try linking your application 5 consecutive times within 24 hours. If you've exceeded these number of attempts, you'll have to wait till after 24 hrs to try again.

Here is the format to follow in your case:

Link existing app-- temporary resident---Study permit and extension---under application details, choose family name, Given name and date of birth---- field out the other details carefully.

You can leave out the passport details and the program end date. Unless it prompt you to compulsorily fill them. Fill other part carefully and as written on your application submitted. It's isn't really difficult as you are making it look like.

You will not have both application and UCI number if this is your first time of applying to CIC. Fill other relevant information in the linking sections and it will still find your paper application.

Well, personally, i believe life will NEVER always give to us what we deserve but THAT which we demand. If anyone decides to wait for an appointed time, then fine. Another person can decide to make his/her appointed time NOW by getting useful information, strategizing, doing the right things, have the right attitude, know when to move and stop by discernment. As a Christian, one thing i have learnt is that the Holy spirit is our helper and one of the greatest sign of his lead is PEACE of MIND.

People only become sentimental with issues. God will ALWAYs work with US. When we have decided when our set time is, it will happen for us. There is no two way about it. He has given us everything freely to enjoy!

Having read lots of post lately about funds and sponsorship, pls indulge me to make these points.

1. Anybody can choose to sponsor you but you stand a better chance with a 3rd party/company sponsorship when they have commited funds to your study as well as proven relationship to you. The sponsorship letters should ONLY tell officers where the funds is coming from and why they decided to sponsor you. Anything other than that will leave alot of questions in a visa officer's minds that your supporting documents/case must answer to. If you can satisfy these questions then by all means, use them.

2. Funds to be filled in the application form should be for one year. You must also show means of funds for the second year if your program is more than a year. Also,if you are self sponsored and have all the funds for the duration of your program( 1or 2 years) you can fill the equivalent in the available funds section.

3.Endeavour to use an affidavit of sponsorship if you are using a 3rd party sponsorship. Relatives and family members are mostly reliable sponsors because there is some kind of blood connection and your overall academic pursuit will bring some advantage or pride to them when they sponsor you. The overall interest of a person willingly sponsoring you must somehow be seen in your application. People put their money where their heart or interest is.

4. Make sure you don't submit a statement of account that doesn't have traceable source(s) of accumulated funds. The 6 months SOA required by CIC is most LIKELY to quantify and ascertain how funds available were accumulated and if funds will be generated for subsequent year(s) once program is more than a year.

5.You and your sponsor(s) should not play smart about making funds available just to get the VISA by lodging sudden lump unexplainable money and think it's about inflow and outflow. CIC requirements of having funds for tuition and living expenses in LIQUID form for a year is standard as stipulated in the IRCC/IRP act. Your funds available must meet this requirement either through a well built statement of account showing funds available, loan facility, bank draft in convertible currency or schoolarship award, etc to get your study permit approved.

6. After your purpose of visit is in-check and convincing, the next most important thing is the funds for your study. You must convince officers that indeed, you will have the funds that you have declared. This is really IMPORTANT. People who get refused a study permit even when they have huge amount of funds to show didn't meet other requirement of a study permit and PURPOSE OF VISIT is usually and often time the main issue.

Finally, Choose programs and school you and your sponsor can afford. It is one thing to be admitted to a program and it is another to prove to canadian immigration officers that you can meet the challenges of studying in canada without a recourse to their government in whatsoever capacity. They want to make sure they discourage the idea of you working to fund your studies as they expect international students to invest funds in their economy while they make same economy very attractive to foreign students with good incentives. It's a give and take situation.

All the best to the hopefuls.

please are u say if ur prog is a 1Year course, total tuition and living expenses must be present in the SOA or fixed deposit tendered? what if the money is not totally available but duly explain to the v.o that the sponsor would be transferring it monthly to the student from his salary accounthuh

??
Bro, there is nothing like transfering monthly till after you get your TRV. Your statement of account MUST have equivalent of your tuition fees and atleast 10,00CAD. This is a requirement of the IRCC act and not the accra embassy requirement.

So it is universal standard and applicable to all applicant for a study permit. So make sure you have this available and after you get your TRV, your sponsor can decide to be sending the money monthly or quaterly or even yearly to you.

Am interested in this aspect, I knw funds available shud b one year tuition plus CAD10000

what is other??
Other means miscellaneous funds and it's not compulsory to fill unless it is also written on your admission letter or you explictly have divided your funds in all aspect and want to state it.
The part with the esterisk (*) on the form is compulsory and must be filled. The main thing is that the funds available for your stay is proportionate to the funds available in a SOA or is equivalent to proof of funds transferred to canada or any other financial means.

I applied to university of Lethbridge ca and I was given admission, I applied to vfs last year but I was refused my study permit because of financial prof, no I want to reapply and I am using a company giving me sponsorship. Thing is can a company sponsor you?
A company can sponsor you and will have to give you the money for your study either by paying your fees or transferring funds to you.

Letter of sponsorships from company and all may likely not prove convincing that the company will fulfill such responsibility. To stand a gud chance this time around, they SHOULD pay your fees for atleast one year.

Please my uncle doesn't want to do tax clearance for his company however he is willing to sponsor. He just did for his personal account. I would be using his SOA for the company. Can I submit the personal tax clearance or not boda atal. Thanks guys. Need help here.
In as much as TAX clearance is good to show the company's record of living up to it's responsibility of paying government levy, It is NOT as important as the fact that the company also lived up to it's responsibility of committing funds to your study. In other words, If the company pays for your tuition before you apply, TAX clearence would probably be a VO least worry. E no concern them, na u and ur government get that gbege!

So using a company SOA will involve COMMITMENT rather than plenty stories of writting or adding papers.

Na dey money their economy go get from the company through funding of your education be the koko sir.

Hey guys, I submitted my application on 30th of Jan,and till now I have not receive any response. My program is starting of 1st of May,now am worried because I didn't do upfront medical, can I still meet with this date? Or can I join the program in the middle of May,if they approve my application?
As human as it is to be worried over a thing, worrying has never changed a situation. Atleast, non that i know of! Rather than worrying, why not channel same energy to be hopeful and experience another level of patience.

Anything is still possible between now and MAY. Things can happen so fast than you least expect. A medical mail can still come sooner and a final decison follow suit.

Moreover, your rising concerns and questions can only be answered by your intended school because they best know the academic structure and calender for each entry term.
In all, wait for a decision on your application and believe everything is working for your greater good be it in a delay or not.

If you are the SOLE signatory of the corperate account, you can add it with your personal account as well as the foreign bank statement. Citizens of countries that do not require a visa to visit Canada must however apply for ETA to enter through any PoE! While same called ESTA is required for the USA.
Regards.
While i agree with you about obtaining the ETA for visa exempt travellers,it is not applicable to "ANY" point of entry. There are exceptions to it.

1. ETA is required ONLY for air travel. Land and sea entry do not need the ETA.

2. US citizens and travellers with a valid canadian visa do NOT need the ETA.

So in the context of the posts, If her daughter gets a canadian visa as a US citizen, she won't be needing the ETA to arrive canada.

You don't need to differ, borrowing is a good option or last resort. The VO is not interested in your balance, just confirm what the Debit and Credit inflow of the last 6 months look like, if it's good you are good to go even if it's a 5,000 naira balance. And attach document of valuables I.e landed properties or business you can even state you get a reasonable sum of money from rents fee and businesses.
On the contrary, the bold is the MOST important. Debit and credit just affirms the consistency in financial transactions of the account.

To the moniker in quote, you need to meet the requirement of CIC by having the equivalent of your tuition and living expenses of 10,000CAD for atleast the first year of study. This must be reflective in any form of financial capacity be it in a statement of account, loan, award etc. You should have the required funds available before you consider sending in your application else you risk your app being refused for insufficient funds.

God bless you all for all your contributions, I have benefited immensely. Please I have some questions. I submitted my application online on the 13th Feb 2017. I Did Biometrics on the 16th but it is still not uploaded on my online application status. I have emailed CIC Ghana no response.
Secondly, I would like to travel to USA but wondering if I can do the medicals before I travel next month ahead of CIC request.
Thirdly, can I courier my passport to the embassy while in the USA, when visa is approved?
Lastly, my daughter is US born, can I travel with her to Canada for my studies? Or need to apply for her Canada Visa too?.

Thanks gurus in the house , I appreciate your assistance with the above.
1. Once they recieve and review your biometrics info, the online status will change to 'Not needed at this time'. So exercise more patience and look out for that. It will surely be updated.

2. Since you did not undergo an upfront medicals before you submitted your application, you will have to wait for further instruction from the visa office to undergo one. You cannot proceed for one now because an IME code (immigration medical examination) has to be generated. This is usually done either by the hospital before you submit your app or by the visa office after you have submitted your application.

3. Most courier companies DO NOT transmit passport across international borders unless there is an ORDER or a binding AGREEMENT between the sending and recieving parties. It is ILLEGAL to do so without proper authorization. So you may choose to come back home upon request for your passport.

4. Depending on your child's age, purpose of accompanying you and duration of stay, she may need to apply for a VISA.
