dara2017:Get the GCMS file for the recent refusal and share it here so you can get help. There is alot to purpose of visit refusal that the file will help confront and tackle. Try and get it. |
Adedrizzy:Them telling you? If there was recent lump sum deposit, then it is what it is. Tell your sponsor to avoid such and build a good statement with a good closing balance. Pay your first year tuition if possible. |
Rocorleone:VFS stopped collecting ORIGINAL documents as instructed by the embassy. This is due to the fact that all documents submitted in support of an application automatically becomes the property of the canadian embassy/government and will/may not be returned to applicant. Only original copy of STATEMENT OF ACCOUNT,ADMISSION LETTER (coloured printout of soft copy is acceptable) and any LETTER addressed to the embassy should be included. Other documents should be photocopies. |
napoleonsmart:You are just repeating the questions i have given answers to already. The results print out is okay. The essence of a transcript is to show grading and courses taken. A secondary result provides all the information needed. By the way, you should advise your friend to come here and gather information for himself as well as ask any bothering questions. If you keep asking for your "friend" , you wouldn't be doing any good. |
napoleonsmart:A secondary school result/statement should include all the subject taken and passed/failed which makes it comprehensive and detailed. You don't need any other transcript. The result or in your friend's case, printout of result is sufficient. |
napoleonsmart:Both VFS and the embassy will accept the print out as they don't accept originals of documents anymore. So just include the printout, it's acceptable as proof. |
ojayN:Wow.. Congratulation. |
Michelleflores:Yes you are! I can understand the feel and i love your spirit. It's going to be alright sooner. Shake up the feel as soon as you can. It's a good thing you will be requesting for your GCMS file. Once it's ready, make it available here and we all will help you. Nothing bad happened only a little delay which will be addresed. Brace up because you will win in the end! |

adiukuonyebuchi:Relax. This is a perculiar issue and it is not applicable to everybody who have applied for a study permit. Beside, there is no update or circular from IRCC to the purpoted recent development. Just follow the normal instruction and meet their requirements. If they need any additional information or document, they will contact you. |
preciousa2:One very important thing to note about the current forex transaction for school fees is that there is a MAXIMUM of USD 15,000 in amount of transaction per term and most bank comply with this directive. I won't be surprise if the request by the embassy for a 'written assurance' that tuition and living expenses will be exported is as a result of this limitation in tuition fees transactions. As we all know, IRCC requires tuition fees for a year not per term. Showing these funds means you can pay for one year tuition and living expenses at a time. Also, more to showing these funds available, applicant(s) must meet these conditions upon which a study permit is approved. I.e if you claim you have funds for tuition and living expenses for one year, you must as well make sure claimed funds is INDEED available for the one year in CANADA. The prevailing circumstances surrounding payment of tuition MAY stall payment of the one year tuition and transfer of funds for living expenses. They probably want to be sure funds for both purposes will be available in canada at the start of applicant's study as claimed by available balance in the SOA presented to the embassy. It's either these funds are already in canada or the bank in nigeria assures the embassy that they will transfer these funds to canada. I would believe that this request is as a result of the recent forex policy because it is actually a new development. |
helpyom:Your best shot will be with the PGC in regulatory affairs in drugs. However, this will take alot of effort both in a good statement of purpose(SOP) as well as your supporting documents. You will have to convince officers that your intended program is the best option for you since it will be dificult to secure a master admission with a 3rd class. This is where a greater part of your chances lie. Age has got nothing to do with career or academic advancement. The only obstacle with age is when one cannot demonstrate sufficiently the reason behind a particular move or what has led to such decison. Alot of factor will then begin to play out and age sometimes MAY come in but not most times. |
Graviton2:Brotherly! You just dissappeared from hia. Good to know you are still around 'the corner' . The very best in your exams! |
Joshcoli:A very important question you would likely answer either with evidence or a strong statement of intent/purpose is the rationale behind the decison to go for this program. You didn't mention if you have any work experience but notwithstanding, the aviation industry has a general shortfall of professionals and most times, there is always need for more of them. I guess you are going for a pgd/pgc in the field and if you can REALLY expantiate further on your choice of this program, you possibly could stand a good chance of getting a study permit. Let me give you instances to work around when completing your SOP. 1.That since most canadian university(ies) majorly do not accept HND for masters, you decided to apply for your program to enable you get an entry level knowledge for the aviation industry. Also give the citation of PGC/PGD being tailored to meet work place demand. 2. Make reference to the fact that the aviation industry evolution over the past years have seen the combination of all major engineering aspects with electrical engineering being a critical part of it. Dwell on the Avionics since it is the electronic system used on aircraft, artificial satelites and spacecraft which also reflect your intended program. The key thing should be that you know exactly why you are going for the program. 3. Highlight the general nigerian aviation sector in comparism to an environment with more cutting edge technological infrastructure both for learning and practicals. Make factual conclusion on how your study will generally impact you going into the aviation sector and how you intend to make such knowledge applicable in nigeria upon return. Finally, you can also use the fact that the location of the International Civil Aviation Organization(ICAO) headquarters in Montreal, canada will avail you the opportunity to relate and study from seasoned experts from all part of the word while you study and project your aviation desirables. Your PURPOSE of going to canada must be convincing before you then consider all your financial capability(ies). Hope these will be helpful. All the best to you. |
Joshcoli:What is your intended program and level of study? |
Marytee2:1. If you are LEGALLY resident in the country you are aside being on a visitor's visa and your resident duration will not expire before the processing time as indicated by the visa office there, you can apply from there. 2.Writting a SOP to convince a VO is nothing as compared to when you show evidence of the tie(s) you have to home country. So if you have family, assets, investments, business, etc, Do well to show proof in you application. These are the strongest ties you can possibly have. 3.It will not just be better, It will be BEST!. If you consider using the PGD, alot of factors will be considered and will be raised by your intentions and your profile. I.e your years of experience, when you finished undergrad, etc. You'll have to satisfactorily make these add up and show that a PGD is right for you at this time. I'll advise you wait for the master decision, if it's positive, use it. Your chances will be higher. |
Kranjar:You can. Make your way to force CID office in Area 10 near old parade ground and adjacent Defence headquarters. They will attend to you. |
chonewillie:Very well. Having your parents and siblings resident in nigeria is more than enough hometie. You are good. |
yemdogg: Osemigho:It's quite understandable the main point these two posts is addressing, avoiding a 5 years ban. Withdrawing that application now MAY or MAY NOT be feasible depending on when he submitted the application. If it's in the last days, COULD be possible. Background checks would most certainly be one of the first things to be concluded in an application once it enters the embassy. Most importantly and a very vital point to note is that once an application is entered into CIC database, it will remain there for as long as their immigration system exist and any other information not consistent with previous application and not PROPERLY explained will still violate provisions of IRCC act by "withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of Canada’s immigration laws". Even if a new application makes corrections, the first application motive tried to induce chances. Also, once Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada makes an allegation or an applicant makes delibrate declaration of misrepresentation in already submitted application, it is insufficient for the applicant to simply withdraw the application As the Federal Court of canada noted in Zhang v. Canada, 2015 FC 463, “such an approach would encourage claimants to misrepresent material information in the expectation their visa applications could simply be withdrawn if the deceit was later uncovered.” Consequently, for IRCC to make a misrepresentation finding, it is necessary that the misrepresentation actually have had the possibility to cause an officer to reach an erroneous decision, and induce an error in the administration of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. The fact is ANY system of immigration control relies heavily on the truthfulness of those who apply to go to such countries. Those who misrepresent their histories or withhold material information with a view to enhancing their chances for entry do so at his/her risk. The integrity of Canada’s control over its borders demands nothing less than scrupulous honesty from applicants and the rigid enforcement of that obligation. The Officer’s decision fulfills this principle and is in all respect reasonable in the administration of the IRP acts because questions are CLEARLY and SPECIFICALLY asked. I doubt CIC will oblige to such withdrawal or mis-representation claims after submission without administering their discretion or atleast making applicant know an offence has been commited. This is to prevent future occurance. In all though, it's up to the moniker in the situation to decide on what to do. |
Gabrielclint:Whether the share or not, MOST embassies have it as part of their duty to perform background check for all VISA applicant(s). They work in the name of their government and so therefore have bilateral and cordial agreement with other governments to make available useful information that will foster security, forestall impending harm or disaster in issuance of any category of VISA. Having said that, nobody here can tell you if they do or not but i strongly believe choicest world destination have a thing or two together regarding who they let into their country and will most likely share information on immigration. Since you didn't declare it, you'll have to wait for any further action or instruction from the canadian embassy. |
bravemykl:You need to back up any information with documentation. If it was stated in your letter of introduction, you'll have to show proof that what the wrote is true. I want to believe there was some kind of agreement to collect your salary by cash. You should add documents to this agreement. If you are being sponsored, you should be fine without payslips. Add your employment letter in addition to the introductory letter and any account statement(s)you own to show you have been busy and have likewise been earning something. It will establish your 'current employment situation' and a little bit of 'personal asset'. |
platypelloid:I don't reside in Lagos sir/ma'am. I stay in Abuja. Would have helped out if it were here. |
platypelloid:The nearest high court. |
adiukuonyebuchi:This is a smart and good move to demostrate commitment in his part. Having him transfer funds to you for upkeep will make it even better and strengthen you chances. He can still transfer the cash and give you a letter/affidavit of sponsorship all together. This will secure your financial independence for your first year. Atleast till your study permit is approved. Regards. |
timisnup:The only reason it is advisable funds are transferred to an applicant's account is to buttress the fact that INDEED applicant will have access to funds made available for study. Other than this, funds can also be in sponsor's account. If sponsor is a 3rd party, transferring the funds is more convincing as to commitment than just making such claims in a letter or affidavit. More to words, actions should eliminate any doubt whatsoever in a visa officer's mind. So YES, have him transfer the funds to you. |
Adedrizzy:You will need a french issued schengen or transit visa to gain entry into france. |
Rocorleone: Piethewitch:@Rocorleone It is not compulsory to pay your tuition but it's always advisable. You still need to show money for your tuition and living expenses to the canadian embassy visa office for them to approve your study permit. So make sure you gather the money and have it available before you apply whether you choose to pay your tuition or not. You MUST have the funds AVAILABLE. All you need to get is the equivalent of your tuition fees and living expenses equivalent of a minimum of 10,000CAD. @Piethewitch Your advise is a good one as regards appying early considering the processing time. However, it will be detrimental if he does without having funds to meet the requirements of CIC. (tuition +living expenses). So while it's advisable to appy in time, it is also advisable funds are available first before sending in the application. |
nairalandnewbie:Okay. There is no requisite rule to same surname sponsorship. You are fine with anyone that will commit to your study beside just writting a letter of sponsorship. Sponsor just have to show how inexorable he/she will be in the responsibility. A good way is to pay and transfer funds to you. Preferrably, all the funds you will need for your first year. |
@ Igbouwanile Since your full first year tuition of CAD 15,000 have been paid and if sponsor transfer equivalent of 10k or 12k to you, then your funds available is CAD 25,000 or CAD 27,000 respectively. Funds available must be in proportion to funds you have in liquid cash and not your deductions. For the CAD 31k as calculated by you or by your offer letter to be declared as funds available, you must show the equivalent of CAD 16,000 in LIQUID form in addition to the CAD15,000 you paid already. So do your conversions rightly and input correctly. Hope this brings clarity. |
Igbouwanile:Lol. Funny guy. Let's use this analogy. If me your '3rd party' sponsor had 5 million naira as my closing balance and it's the exact equivalent of your tuition and living expenses and with my family and other needs rising at an impromptu manner, would i give everything to you knowing fully well that a major need for cash can arise between now and when you will eventually depart? I don't think so.If i were to be a VO, this will appeal to me as you trying so hard to meet the minimum requirement for visa purpose. It won't show comfortability to meet the financial challenge. So help your sponsor appear a comfortable sponsor to a visa officer by showing a statement of account that have little or more over their requirements. It's going to be a huge financial burden and you shouldn't in any way show any sign of sponsor meeting just MINIMUM requirements. The more the better. |
Oladimejii:If the sole purpose of it is to address your sponsorship to study in canada, you should include the original. It is only useful in this context and as such it is addressed to the canadian embassy. Make a copy for yourself. |
Igbouwanile:It means funds actually available ONLY for your study. If you are using a sponsor, i would believe he/she will not empty an account for these purpose. Some left-over should be there for other needs. So equate your tuition and living expenses for a year and avail that as funds for your study. If it's the exact as the closing balance, input same otherwise, fiqures should amout to the equivalent of tuition and expenses ONLY. |
