BusinessRe: bank mistakenly sent me money, now my Account Balance Reads Negative (-#100,000) by Ayemileto(m): 12:28pm On Jul 12, 2020
Like someone said up there, your wife's case is a lie.

You can't transfer to a wrong account number because the mobile app or USSD won't allow you perform the transfer.

And OP claimed his wife missed a digit.

If this is true, then it means the original account number she wants to transfer to is 11 digits.

But even with this, The name of the person you're transferring to will still be displayed to you before the transfer happens.

As for OPs account being negative, OP is most likely using UBA.

You have to options, either refund the money or close the account.

But if you choose the later, then you're nothing more than a thief.

the article didnt make mention of Plab.

Plab 1 is written in Nigeria, the next exam is in September and you do not do interview to write plab 2

plab 2 is written in the UK

PLAB 2 was cancelled but the restart date is from 13 August 2020

Mr, they collected 500 pound from 54 people that is 27,000 pounds
But they could have collected from much more people.

The 58 were only those who passed the written exam and interview.

Also, they also got landing approval from the Nigerian government and actually sent the Chartered flight, which NIS prevented the doctors from boarding.

So, if it's scam, why will they go through all this stress?

By the time you do the plus and minus of all the expenses and income, what will be their gain?

The timeframe (from January), exam, Skype interview, chartered flight, and collecting £500 from just 58 people (when they could have gotten from much more people that applied) doesn't fit a scam description.

However, you're free to believe whatever you want though.

This will be my last reply to you.

Get your facts right bro. The internet is there for you.

Nigeria doctors in USA, UK and Australia are thousands in numbers as far back as few years ago when I last checked the statistics.

Ensure you check on the official government website, for the official figures.

That's all I will say.

Right, did the UK government approved their landing in the UK also? if they did, why didn't the UK immigration or government not inform the nigeria immigrations to that of their intentions? why did the doctors not make any contact with or to their said employers in the UK to support their claims atleast?

you know? so many nigerians including some.nigerian leaders thought that husppupi was a legit business man. grin until....he was arrested
Read the previous news and this article bro!

It's a private company that is taking them to the UK, and according to the article, and the email, the UK government already approved and issued them Visa waiver, which allows them to apply for visa upon arrival.

Also, from the first news, NIS denied them travelling because a particular law, which they quoted in that news, stated that no one can leave the borders of Nigeria, except they have a valid Visa of the destination country.

In this case, they don't have Visa, but ordinary waivers sent to their Emails. And even if they wanted to place calls, I don't think those customs officer will want to listen.

What I know is that No scammer will scam just 58 people, when they had the opportunity to scam much more.

Also, why will they go through that stress of conducting exams and interviews for them?

And it's only those who passed the exams and interviews that were asked to pay.

And not just that, they obtained approval for the plane to land in Nigeria and even sent the Chartered flight.

And how much did they collect?

£500!!

It does not fit into a scam description.

There was no flight, there is a travel ban in place

Lol. It's stated in the article that they already did written exam and granted Skype interview.

I don't know if the exam they did is PLAB though. But I know no scammer will go through that stress for £500.

Also, the process started since January.

Please go back and read the article again, this time more slowly, so you can understand.

which government approved the flight?

how did hushppupi scam all that millions of dollars?. cheesy
Lol. I know you know the government have been approving "important" flights.

I think that's why they had to lie that they are going for training.

If they had claimed they are going there to work, there won't be any kind of approval.

Also, this article claimed a lot of doctors have applied since January, before the Pandemic.

They did exam and then proceeded to do Interview on Skype

If it's a scam, the scammers should have pulled the plug long ago.

They shouldn't have done any exam or interview.

ProgrammingRe: Please I Don't Really Understand Foreign Keys In MySQL by Ayemileto(m): 10:18pm On Jul 11, 2020
It's very simple.

Take English Premier League for example

Currently we have 20 clubs in the league, and each club plays a certain number of games.

Now, if you are to represent this in an Application, you will have at least 2 tables as follows:

1. Fixtures
2. Results

Now, ordinarily, you will want to attach each club details to their fixtures and results. But this will lead to a lot of data repetition across the database.

So,to eliminate this data repetition,we can create a third table named
club_details

Now we can put all the club data in this Club details table, and give each club a Unique numeric ID. This ID is normally called the Primary Key, and it's usually Auto Increment.

So, our club_details table can have the following fields:
Id
club_name
stadium

So, in the Fixtures and Results table now, we don't need to insert the club details again. All we need to do is just use the ID from club_details table.

So, our fixtures table have the following fields

game_Id (primary key)

home_team_id (refers to the Id of the home team from club details)

away_team_id (refers to the Id of the away team from club details)

Since both home_team_id and away_team_id refer to the Id in club_details table, both of them can be set as Foreign Keys.

So, this is just a basic example of Foreign Keys.

But, in the real sense, you don't really need foreign keys for your beginner project.

The only major advantage of Foreign Keys is that it keeps your database consistent, by performing checks at the database level before inserting, updating or deleting data.

So, by setting Foreign Keys, before inserting a new data in the Fixtures table, the database will check if the ID exists in the club_details table. If the ID does not exist, the insert fails.

Meanwhile, if you don't use foreign keys, it will just perform the insert without checking, even if the ID does not exist.

This also applies to Updating and Deleting data.

Personally, I don't use Foreign Keys in my projects except I'm working with a framework, as most frameworks (like Laravel and Django) also use it for Data relationships.

WebmastersCodeigniter 4 Is Exactly Like Laravel by Ayemileto(op): 10:52pm On Jul 10, 2020
So, I just completed my first project using CI4, and i can tell you it now looks like Laravel.

Here are some Similar things:

1. Command Line Server: Codeigniter now have a command line server that can be launched with "php spark serve". This is similar to Laravel's "php artisan serve" command.

2. Database Migrations: Codeigniter now have a database migration method that can be use from the command prompt or terminal window. and It is very similar to Laravel's.

3. The Model: in the new CI4 framework, you get to write extremely fewer lines of code in your model. You now have to declare your primary key, fillable fields and many other things . there are now pre developed method for performing lots of database actions, making it very similar to other popular frameworks.

4. Use of namespaces/env file: Yeah, like Laravel, Codeigniter now have an env file. and namespaces are now used.

5. Use of Composer to manage Dependencies: Yes, the framework now uses composer to manage dependencies. i think you can choose not to use it though.

There are many other improvements in the framework in general, like the overall rearrangement of files and folder, using of return or echo to fetch a view, improved error reporting page and lots more.

In short, it is now in the league of many other top web development frameworks and I will urge web developers in the house to check it out!!!

If you had shared pictures of the other lane which have much more traffic going in both directions, I wouldn't have made that comment. But sharing picture of just a lane made me believe it's a construction exercise and you are one of the people going around uploading pictures/videos online and painting a biased/fake story of the situation.

And that is why I updated that post to confirm the story after many people quoted me, prompting me to confirm online, after which I saw additional pictures uploaded by someone else on page 4 or 5.

Sir, which section of the road is under construction?
Ambode did his part by repairing the road from oshodi to Abule egba and since he was denied reelection that is where the construction work stopped.

My comment was based on the pictures OP shared showing just one section of the road, while the other section have much more traffic going in both directions, and I mentioned that in my initial comment.

We all know during road constructions, all traffic are directed to a single lane, but impatient people will still pass the lane under construction. And since one of the lanes above have traffic going in both directions, with only a few vehicles passing the lane snapped by OP, I assumed it is one of the situations where people post something online and paint a biased story of the situation.

If the OP had shared pictures of the other lane, I wouldn't have dropped that comment.

But I have checked online, and It appears the road is really bad as claimed by OP.

Also, it appears more pictures have been added to the thread.
