Goddex: Punch and Nation lie alot. I'm very disappointed in Punch in particular the way it now lacks standards and integrity.
How did you come to the conclusion they lied? Mr president visit was a surprise yet the owner of Channels knew about it?
Politics › Re: Your Thoughts On Jonathan's Comment At Police College, Ikeja? by AZeD1(m): 12:56pm On Jan 19, 2013
karl max: what of what channels tv who were on ground and reported what GEJ said and I quote "Apparently responding to pictures of rot in infrastructure broadcast by Channels Television, a visibly angry president queried the authorities of the college on the state of the institution.

He promised to change the tide in the college saying that his government

“Will do something about the institution”, the President vowed.

The chairman of Channels Television, Mr John Momoh was present during the president’s visit.

This is the first time a sitting President would be visiting the Police College built over 70 years ago" I still stick with what channels reported and not the failed on arrival propoganda of paid critics.
Another question, If it was a surprise visit, how did John Momoh know of it? The newspapers also reported that the president asked the provost of the college some question what are those question?
Politics › Re: Your Thoughts On Jonathan's Comment At Police College, Ikeja? by AZeD1(m): 12:44pm On Jan 19, 2013
Insincere Nigerian
Thisday, Guardian and Tribune did not report anything GEJ said during the visit. Is it that GEJ did not speak at during the visit or those newspapers decided not to report it.

Techwriter: Is ones ability to speak English fluently a proof of literacy? Most Chinese can't speak English but they invent things that marvel us. Attending NYSC is also not a road to success. Emphasis should be placed on productivity not fluency in a foreign tongue
Dude stop thinking like the "half baked graduates". The official language of China is Chinese while the official language of Nigeria is English.
Romance › Re: Her Boss'shusband Won't Leave Her Alone by AZeD1(m): 1:52am On Jan 18, 2013
If you can't write proper English then i wonder how you are going to teach those kids to do so? When you start applying for jobs one of the requirements you would see in most vacancies is the ability to COMMUNICATE. There is no fashion in writing so if you want to write in English, write it well else stick to pidgin.

mZ sleeq: I went 2 visit a friend of mine todae and she was conplaining about her ordeal with one of the teachers in her school.the both of us are currently serving in calabar, and I've been followin this issue since wen she met the guy. this one isn't super story

Guk: No matter what, there will always be arguments for and against and either side will stick to their guns no matter what.

In our arguments; theories; postulations, etc, we should also consider the following (1) Budgeting i.e to Provide a forecast of revenues and expenditures. (2)Accounting/Stewardship of monies spent (3) Charging: Recovery of cost. Cost + (profit) or Cost- (loss) or Cost = (Breakeven)

Taking a look at the Special Duties perceived Humongous provision for Chop Chop should be placed alongside (1) How it is funded? from Loans; IGR;or Charging (2) Is the Chop Chop appropraite or needful? & (3) Importantly, do the Agencies under the Special duties earn more than enough to fund their budget?? From perual, there are about 6 of them that are serious income generators for LASG & ultimately for the benefit of all Lagosians. LASG makes a lot of Money from PPP; LAMATA; Number Plate printing as it going to make billions from producing new number plates between now and september by when all cars in nigeria must have changed to new number plates and unless i am corrected, it is only that LASG company that is producing number plates for FRSC.

Objectivity and a holistic approach to discussions will be appreciated
Nice write up.

2Legit2Qui: Your own definition of public accountability is winning at elections. Very excellent. Of course I am not a bright fellow when compared to you.
Point out where i mentioned accountability in the my post?
Politics › Re: What Was Budgeted By Lagos For Feeding In 2013? by AZeD1(m): 9:27pm On Jan 16, 2013
2Legit2Qui: Great. So everyone should shut up then, no need for accountability because so long they are looting and they appear to be doing something, and the people are not complaining, then everyone out there should keep quiet. Good for you. I love your reasoning. Honestly, your reasoning will win you an award. Keep it up. Excellent.
You are probably not a bright fellow so i will say it in Pidgin? No body go win election if him no dey popular..
Marwa looted in Lagos but the people of lagos still love him!!!!

2Legit2Qui: dumb
Democrazy is government of the majority. If a Governor loots his state dry, as far as the people like him, he will win elections.

What was the point of this thread 2Legit2Qui? Please don't say transparency or accountability because the owner of this thread has nothing to do with Lagos.
Politics › Re: What Was Budgeted By Lagos For Feeding In 2013? by AZeD1(m): 4:40pm On Jan 16, 2013
thelastPope: Of course they do if they are registered but you shouldnt refer to them as if they represent all Lagosians. Even in the last elections where Fashola was very popular and overwhelming, PDP still got over 200, 000 votes. Not to talk of now when ACN has lost several LGAs and Councils and people are angry!
If elections were held today in lagos Fashola would still win. You might not like Fashola and you are justified to do so but this thread and most of the ones created by this OP as regards Fashola has being pointless.

P:S ====> The part in bold was another funny attempt by you . . . .
Please tell me what was the point of this thread?
thelastPope: Which Lagosians on NL? You mean the ACN touts and agberos here? Many of them dont even reside in Lagos and dont pay tax to Lagos state, like Demdem. He is an impostor. I am a tax paying Lagosian with a valid voters card!
ACN touts, area boys et al... They are still Lagosians and i believe they have a right to an opinion and vote.
Politics › Re: What Was Budgeted By Lagos For Feeding In 2013? by AZeD1(m): 4:21pm On Jan 16, 2013
thelastPope: Which Lagossians are not complaining? Did you do an opinion poll to know what Lagosians think? Or are you just talking crap online? I am a Lagosian and I am complaining right now! I pay my tax. I am sure you have never paid tax in your life! I pay for both myself and my business! You are talking nonsense!
HOw can i pay tax, i'm still a toddler. Conduct an opinion poll here on nairaland and see how many lagosians are complaining.

PS When Demdem complains about GEJ i don't think you remember he pays his tax!!!!.

What is funny? I know people who like their mothers and hate their fathers.
I don't get the point of this thread. The OP lives in Enugu, if elections were to be held in Lagos today his can't vote but those whose are eligible to vote are not complaining so what is the OP, lastpope et al trying to achieve with this thread?

Lagosians are not complaining about their governor so why are you crying for them?

thelastPope: This says it all!

OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF (page 446-448) - note multiple upkeep allowance
upkeep and maintenance allowance = 63 million Naira
maintenance of guest houses = 36 Million Naira
upkeep and maintenance allowance = 67.5 million Naira
Entertainment = 225 Million Naira
special duties = 6.5 BILLION Naira
Miscellenous = 117 million Naira
What has this thread achieved?

kutchs: If Lagosians are not complaining pray tell me why they should complain about Jonathan‘s FG.
GEJ is their president or is that too hard for you to understand? I can like my father and dislike my mother.

You can like your governor and hate your president and vice versa!!!!!!

thelastPope: A very successful quest and a successful thread indeed. This is how threads should go! Bookmarked!
Now that you have seen it what are you going to do or what have you achieved? If Lagosians like their governor, it does not matter if he loots or not they will still vote for him.....

romanlaw: LAGOS STATE IS THE FOCUS FOR NOW, because OF THE MANNER IN WHICH EKO ILE AND COHORTS STAKES THEIR BLOOD TO DEFEND FASHOLA AND TIFNUBU. ALL OTHER STATES ARE ALWAYS ON FOCUS ON DAILY BASIS AND THEIR INDIGENES JOINS HAND TO CRITICISE THEM, UNLIKE YOU GUYS THAT CAN DO ANYTHING TO COVER UP FASHOLA.

franchizy: For a benefit of doubt, His Excellency Dr. T. Orji have rehabilitated and constructed 80% of the major roads in Aba. He also empowered and engaged many youths of Abia state in skill Acquisations and ve so far created 20,000 employment for Abians.
He constructed 3 free health centres in each of the Local Govt. Areas in Abia state. There is a water scheme project going on in all the Rural areas in Abia state as well as construction of modern primary and secondary schools across Abia state. Gov Orji is d only Gov who increased teachers and civil servants salary with prompt monthly payment of salary.
During the last meeting of the South East Governors, our able Gov Orji was voted the best SE Gov of the yearm
I think all dis useless comments and accusations are just a distractions. His Excellency wil always remain focused and never listen to criticisms. The PDP led administration in Abia state under Gov Orji have realy brought Abians to the promise land. I urge Abians to support the good works of our Able Gov and messiak His Excellency Dr T. Orji.
