Exactly the reason why I said even members of the same parish are not necessarily compatible(why look for trouble by going outside your denomination then). This is not to say that people of entire different religions cannot find compatibility in another, it's just as someone has said that our lives are lived on certain uncompromisable principles which inter-denominational relationship will test. Case in point-I don't personally know anyone who will deliberately marry an Ifa worshipper.
Using myself as an example, the some of the qualities i would like in my wife-: 1)Intelligence (not denomination based) 2)Independent(not denomination based)
My point being if everyone lists what he/she wants in a spouse, 95% of it would not be denomination based so would the denomination of the person be a problem. Question: If you marry someone with denomination in mind and 5years down the line the person wants to change what will happen to the marriage? |

Has it ever crossed your mind what your reaction will be when your spouse starts shouting in tongues in the middle of the night when you need rest after a hard day's job?(and this is in your small room apartment o not a flat/even if na flat you wan dey comot from room every night? Pentecostal worship is flamboyant o, if you dont like their mode of worship dont even bother marrying from there.
What if you belong to the same denomination but one shouts at night and the other does not? Changing denomination rarely changes personality and you should be marring based on the person not on the denomination. Denominations can be changed but personality rarely does!!! |

gonon: @Demdem, thank you for the title. You seem not to get the point, since you are so uneducated as to ascertain my point, let me put it to you this way. I don't care what we consume. #OccupyNigeria was suppose to be the masses fighting against corruption in all sectors in Nigeria, not a cheap ticket to surviving, not Labour Leaders who know nothing about the masses but go around Occupying mansions and claiming to be on the side of the people and saying "We were not involved in the N97 a litre price by government". Please go to school, How do you expect a government that refuses to fight corruption do anything reasonable with the money gotten from removing subsidy? If GEJ really has an idea of what he wants to do, he would fight corruption and at the same time, use the "small money" he has to do something reasonable with it then may be Nigerians can trust him. |

proudly9ja: @Nosa, Do you think the govt has the moral right to ask Nigerians to bear the brunt when as admitted by the CBN governor, none of the ministers, governors, VP or President takes money out of his pocket to buy fuel? Meanwhile we all see the number of cars that go with an ordinary LG convoy. In essence when you pay your tax and when you pay for that subsidy-less fuel, you are not only paying for fuel in your car but also for the cars your leaders are driving.
Secondly, subsidy has been removed from diesel and kerosene for over a year now, have you seen any of the benefits? Has anyone from govt provided a balance sheet to tell us what they have done with the money saved?
Thirdly, you said pensioners are to blame for supporting military rule and for aligning with corrupt governments. Well, this time, they have decided not to align with this corrupt government and you still blame them? In addition, how exactly are they to blame? Someone keeps their pensions in his/her account for months/years so as to pocket the accrued interests and nothing is done to him. How exactly is this the pensioner's fault? God bless you. |

Oh by the way i'm from the south south. |
Education › Re: Gej Orders Compulsory Entrepreneurship Course For All Undergraduates by AZeD1(m): 6:01pm On Feb 18, 2012 |
dmainboss: These GEJ haters and bashers have become so cynical and bitter that they can't think straight anymore. The funny part is that they claim they have superior knowledge of some sort. This annoucement by GEJ is again another end game move. A masterpiece. The man is showing unbelievable foresight, I am so impressed. Some talk of enabling environment. Who is going to provide enabling environment? Enterpreneurs of course. The problem of Nigeria over the years has basically being our mindset. Actually, it is the problem with the black race. Practically every discovery we enjoy today was done by visionary enterpreneurs working under very uncondusive environments. Some starved to get their inventions done. Some where almost stoned to death because the society called them witches. Most didn't have any support from anywhere. So it is very funny when you hear some claiming that a condusive environment is necessary for enterpreneurship to thrive. It is actually the other way round. Entrepreneurship will create a condusive environment.
Someone wrote that Nigerians are entrepreneurs. Are you kidding me? How many can write a simple business plan? How many can manage cash flow? They make 100k and spend 150k. Is that how their business will thrive? Most Nigerians don't even want to do a business. They want to work in multinational firms. If you own a bank, will you give out loans to people that have no skill on how to run a business? One big difference between the western world and Nigeria is training and specialisation. In Nigeria most people claim they can do practically anything. The same guy is a plumber, an electrician, an importer, a house agent and a cement seller. In the end, he knows nothing.
I am so glad GEJ is addressing the fundamentals in this country. Those waiting to hear silly annoucements like free education and free bags of rice are going to be disappointed in this guy because the guy is not ready for that. The fundamentals is what will change Nigeria, not the kind of frivolous propaganda some governors are announcing to gain public acceptance. Dude stop the GEJ ass licking. English is the official language of Nigeria, the only compulsory subject in jamb, The language used to teach students from nursery school till graduation, so going by your post above, anyone who has schooled in Nigeria should be a master of the english language but can you tell me if that is the case? GEJ is talking without thinking. |

Hotie Tima: but huni it makes me a better woman, it differences me from different woman's out there. it show how self control i am, and it clearly goes to show that i don't easily fall for temptation. If makes you a better woman then it means Sunbo attending classes makes Sunbo a brillant student. Dextra: Personally, I think virginal status should be kept to yourself. You really don have to let anybody know about it. The only person that should know that status is the person who's going to take it away and at the point of acquisition. Telling a guy you are a virgin makes him want to know if it's true and the only way he can discover it is by trial and when he finds out, the virginity won't be there anymore, so, what's the point? Nice post by Dextra, Hot tima 1) If you are a christian, remember what christ said about Praying(show boating like the pharases(sp?)) and giving(your right hand should not know what your left hand is doing)? 2) In a law court(public opinion) you are freed by proving your case with tanginble evidence which you can't do about your virginity. 3) A matured person does not come to a public forum to gloat about his/her sexuality status!!! 4) There are guys i know who are virgins and i'm pretty sure you wont date them cos they are better non virgin guys out there. |

I'm not one of those robotic drones that feels that they need to go along with all these Valentine's Day shenanigans. Besides, if a guy needs to wait for this one day of the year to tell me he loves or cares about me, I really should question the nature of our relationship. I've said this before and I'll say it again, I have my own money so buying and having the things I want is not an issue for me.
