SalamRushdie: The fact that the best thing Buhari çan think of to do with 350 million dollars is to share it in a country lacking all sorts of social amenities shows how empty and bereft of ideas he is Buhari didn't think of it, it was a condition for the return of the money. The Swiss government prefers that the money is shared to the people than for it to be relooted. Lesser of two evils. |
Politics › Re: Rabiu Kwankwaso Reveals Master Plan On How PDP Can Win Buhari In 2019 by AZeD1(m): 6:45pm On Jun 30, 2018 |
Actually, the person needs to get the South East to vote.
In 2015, Buhari won GEJ by about 2.5M votes.
Kano, Kaduna, Katisna and other North Western/Eastern States recorded above 70% turn out and it's hard to top that in 2019.
On the other hand, the South East recorded about 30% turn out and taking it to 60% reduces the deficit by at least 1million.
For 2019, as of today, Buhari will loose the North Central, and the 55% he won in the South West has shrunk to about 48%.
The PDP has a chance in 2019 and playing their cards right, they can win it. |

Shehu Sani like Murray Bruce are pseudo intellectuals. They say what the people want to hear even though it's wrong.
The money was released to Nigeria on the condition that it's gets to the people directly and that's what the government is doing. |

magicminister: The reason pastors are picked on is because they have alot of followers and insane amount of influence on their followers. They can actually shape the course of ths nation if all the pastors speak with one voice on good governance, encourage the people to get their pvc and mandatate them to vote and stay their votes are counted.
Pastors have alot of influence but they choose to use it for nothing meaninful! The more a society develops, the less religious the people become so the pastors are protecting their business empires. |

This was the period when Gen. Buhari released another chart topper
“The declaration of state of emergency in three Northern states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe is a grave injustice against the North.” – Buhari (Liberty Radio, June 2, 2013)
Why I feel for the defenders of the bigot is the man has NEVER hidden his hatred for Christians nor his contempt for democracy so he always makes their work so difficult. But because some people are either emotionally or financially invested in his regime, they have to keep up with PR Going by the bold part of your statement, hasn't it occurred to you that most of this things are political / commercial conflicts masked at religious conflicts because its the only way to keep Nigerians divided? When GEJ was president, the Army hounded innocent Biafra agitators. When GEJ was president, there was still conflict and killings in Plateau and nobody shouted islamization or Christainization. What makes this one different from the one that happened in GEJ's era, the one that happened in Yar'Adua's era, the one that happened in OBJ's era? May be if you put your hatred for Buhari to one side, you would see that Buhari's only fault in this is not been proactive as the chief security officer of the country. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/a-cycle-of-reprisals-turns-jos-into-killing-field/Read the article and see that its been an ongoing issue since 1994. |

Even if a Fulani President does not want to appoint an Igbo man as a security chief(due to hatred), what of Edo, Yoruba, Cross River, Christian middle belt etc? Oh no, they are not qualified. Chief of Naval staff and Chief of Defence staff are not Fulani or they don't count because it doesn't fit your agenda? |

Politics › Re: No Nigerian Should Cry For Oby Ezekwesili.-Reno Omokri by AZeD1(m): 6:58pm On Jun 27, 2018 |
Litmus: What do people mean by, "lf Buhari had given her position would she be protesting?" And " no one should sympathetise with her for her harassment by security service becuse she supported Buhari and played a part in his election?"
Firstly, it is the convention in any part of the world where democratic politics take place that ministers in the gorvenment will toe the party line even if minister has grave reservation with thire parties policies. Extent of true dissensions usually only come to light when government has left office;occasionally, before this there may be resignations. And even in instances when ministers have left office by resignation, wider observations rearely give unmitigated credit, there are often mumblings that said ministers did not resign purely on principal but that they resigned becuse of frustrated ambitions. Therefore to state that "Ezekwesili would not have protested if she had been given a political position" is to state the obvious and not a valid criticism.
Secondly to state, "people should not support Ezekwesili becuse she supported and helped Buhari get into power" is so primitive I don't even know where to begin , 200 people were slaughtered no one is expert on how such a thing affects people
...this one deserves deep contemplating in order to illustrate how stupid it is; but, contemplating it deserves, because, somehow, the stupidity encapsulate what has gone wrong with democracy in Nigeria
....I think it's to do with Nigerians mistaking tribalism, sectionalism, housewife dramma for democratic party politics or something.... The bold part says all you need to know about Nigerians. They don't want good government, they want a government were they can be rewarded that's why its hard for them to believe that some people can actually do things without expecting reward. |

4FACEADELEKE: Is it not she that used the BBOG campaign for spiting jonathans image, decieving Nigerians while collecting money from APC to promote the biggest scam in Nigerian political history. She also served as a tool for the APC so that at the end they will give her appointment. But unfortunately for her Buhari was never the saint she taught he was.She was used and dumped.Ask yourself this question,do you think if Buhari had given her appointment, she would have been protesting against him today? 1) Nobody destroyed GEJ's image. His cluelessness was visible to the blind. 2) Can you point out were she collected money for BBOG? 3) Can you point out were she served as a "tool" for APC? (You've made so many allegations without proof) 4) If she wanted an appointment, she would have joined APC. The last part also says a lot about you(Not everybody is selfish like you, Lots of people do things because its right or wrong and not because they expect payment. Its sad that I had to read this IQ reducing post but this last part is so laughable I decided to comment. There's a saying that you can force a horse to the river, but you can force it to drink water. The constitution has given the National assembly the power to add and make amendments to the budget as they deem fit, but the power of execution still lies with the executive. The president and his team are the ones who would prioritize the capital projects and release funds not the National Assembly. With half the year already gone, the President can decide not to release funds for projects added by the National Assembly and nothing would happen. I do agree with you though, the President isn't wise. He should have kept his mouth shut and ignored the projects added by the National Assembly. |
