EternalTruths: Igbos need to get separated from Hausa Fulani Yoruba people so as to achieve progress at lightening speed Since 1999, Igbo's have been ruling their States and they've not gone far. I can't remember any Fulani person telling Orji Uzor Kalu, Theodore Orji, Ohakim, Nwobodo and others to loot their state. If the South East governors had built 1 good hospital per year, the South East would by today have 85 good hospitals by today. Stop blaming diversity for the greed of Nigerians. |

Patrioticooduan: All what you wrote is bullshi.te. why do you guys mention america? Why not Europe or Asia that are occupied by indigenous tribes? People mention America because it throws your excuse of diversity away. London is probably the most multicultural city in the world and they are doing well. Is it diversity that makes governors loot their state? |

Patrioticooduan: How many ethnic groups are in Switzerland? Four!!! Namely: Germans 66%. Italians, French and one other one that makeup just 1%. How can you compare that with Nigeria? Forget it Mr. We are too diverse in Nigeria. This is what is killing UA and other African countries Stop blaming diversity for the failures of Nigeria and Africans. Oji Uzor Kalu is an Igbo man, and he ruled his state for eight years, was it diversity that caused him to loot his state? Every state and local government has been ruled since 1999 by people from that state/ethnicity but we still haven't made progress and you want to blame ethnicity? Are you blaming diversity for Ibori's stealing? Or the one done by Gbenga Daniels? America a country of immigrants ( which automatically means diversity) has managed to move forward but people who were born in a country are blaming something that happened decades before they were born as the reason for Nigeria's failure. The post is part of the reason Nigeria doesn't work, we find things to blame rather than face the truth. |

comos: with his performance in the senate, he is already popular,
He dose not Buhari for his re-election What performance? Sharing of transistor radio as constituency project? How many National Assembly members are voted based on performance? How do you judge the performance of a Senator? National Assembly elections are held on the same day as the Presidential election so which ever party gets the Presidential vote, gets the National Assembly vote. |

OfficialAPCNig: A Senator has no political capital?
Zombie is really a bad thing. Shehu Sani rode the Buhari wave, he's a staunch Buharist. He had contested for the Senate twice and lost before the APC merger in 2014. And by the way, he comes from the CPC faction of APC while El Rufai comes from the PDP faction. You know nothing about Shehu Sani and he yes he has 0 political capital. He entered the Senate because of Buhari and the APC wave of 2015. You are the Zombie because your thinking is one way.... |

Elrufai has finish himself politically in kaduna state. infact Apc in kaduna has now reduced drastically. thousands of Apc members are now decamping to other political parties ahead of 2019 general elections. alot of governors will not be returned for second term, especially in the northern zone. elrufai rely mostly on buhari, not knowing that buhari has destroyed himself politically. senator shehu sani is a grass roots politician too from kaduna central senatorial districts where elrufai came from. elrufai will be defeated in 2019 poll. Shehu Sani has 0 (ZERO) political capital and can't win any election against El Rufai. |

LaudableXX: That is not a valid excuse. They are still part of the value chain that provides electricity to the citizenry! Electricity provision is their main business and core competence. They have no business with generators. "What agreement does light have with darkness?" Its not an excuse, its a fact. They don't generate electricity, the distribute. Almost got lost on the way back. No internet and i stopped at the wrong stop. Got on the next bus (apparently the $4 card is valid for 2 hours) so due to wrong stop, ended up home in another two buses. Get a TTC card and pay for the month. If you are jobless, you might be able to apply for a discount. I'm not sure how much it would cost, but in Ottawa a month's bus pass is $116 while its $58 with subsidy. |
Family › Re: Men In Marriage: How To Play The In-law Politics! by AZeD1(m): 12:48am On Jul 06, 2018 |
Treat your in-laws like you treat your family (they are also your wife's in-law). davodyguy: There have always been serious issues between myself and my wife over families.
We have a policy in my family, which is to always respect privacy. We visit only when necessary and call/Text most times. My wife and her family on the other hand, they love to visit and like to even stay overnight. Because of my almost zero tolerance for this, we always have issues and she thinks I hate her people.
Last December, I had to ship her out to UAE for Christmas, when I heard she planned having her siblings come in from 24th December, till 2nd January, 2018.
Its always a battle, which she doesn't want to understand, that relatives she not pass their boundaries, since we too are a couple with kids and need to face our lives.
Sometimes, they just pump in without notifying me the head of the house. As usual, I get reactive, but as the Yoruba's would say, its 'Îsó léñû. But its the duty of our wives to always understand what husbands want as the head after God. The parents of the wife have done the handing over and the man is now in charge
Boundaries just need to be set in every family. I'm guessing you knew this about your wife and family and still went ahead to marry her but now you are trying to get her to change. Why aren't you the one changing? |

yungreezy: Hi guys,
As regards job search, I cannot thank God enough for the opportunities He has given me in finding a job on time. Because as with everyone else, it was a big worry for me. I began my search from home. I used freetone app as stated by others here. My experience from Nigeria is in banking. I explored switching to IT but I figured it'll be a bit difficult to do that immediately without experience. So I decided to continue my search in where I have experience as advised by some here and move on from there. I had a number of interviews over the phone from Nigeria and continued to in person interview when I arrived. Thankfully I've been able to secure a role within a couple of weeks of arriving here. So it does help to start on time, don't rule yourself out of any role, give the employer the option available to you and hear what they say.
Having said that, is there a group for Nigerians in Toronto? It can get boring here when you don't have much friends so if anyone is around North York/Etobicoke/Mississauga, holla! I wouldnt mind a meet up. Congrats on your job. My advice to everyone looking for a job is to never rule yourself out. That's the job of the HR manager not yours so do your part by applying and let the HR manager do theirs. I know of a lawyer (hasn't done the Canadian bar exams but did Masters here) who applied to a job at Bell. After the first interview, she told me the job was for an experienced person and she was so sure she'll never be called back bla black bla. She made it to the final interview with a VP who came from Toronto to Ottawa and is waiting feedback. Never rule yourself out of a job role. |
