Jeromejnr: Mr.
No one can snatch you away from God. But you can snatch yourself away from His hand.
God can never forsake you. But you can forsake God.
Names can be blotted from the book of Life as Jesus warned. These means they had their names there already and were saved.
Many who are saved will say Lord, Lord and will be rejected.
This is why Jesus said abide in me.
How do we abide in Him?
...If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye may ask what ye will, and it shall be done to you...
...So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples.
That last verse is for you and your believe statement.
Thank you. You can't do it. Only God can do it in you. Thank you. P.S. If you try, you will fail. |

Jeromejnr: Then you have shot yourself in the foot.
So you have agreed its not just by what you called "believing on Him only". There were still behaviours and acts worthy of repentance.
As for the woman:
BTW, this language of someone already being fully saved or having salvation while in the flesh is not in your scriptures. That language was adopted by some preachers in recent times and this has gone under scrutiny.
Scriptures speaks of being saved, waiting for the hope of salvation, inheriting salvation when Jesus is finally revealed. That is the language of the New Testament.
Believe on the Lord and you will be saved. Fully Saved when?
...but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
....By your patient endurance, you will gain your souls.
You believe on the Lord means you also believe His commandments and do them. You belive He has purchased you and given the grace to live as He wants you to.
So that woman if she kept her change of behaviours till the end, will inherit salvation.
John Bevere said it well,
Supposing you lived high up on a volcanic mountain. And one day, alarm starts to blow that the volcano will erupt in 5 minutes and all living things on the mountain will perish.
But you don't have a car and it takes you 20 minutes on a normal day to get to the bottom of the mountain on foot.
So there is no hope, you are doomed. But you here a knock on the door while you are busy being frantic.
You open up, and you see a man handing you over a car key to an SUV. And he says hey take this freely, a gift from me to you. I will sacrifice myself for you. Now take the SUV and run. It will take you two minutes to reach the mountain and escape the volcanic ash with the SUV.
Now you grab the keys and in joy and happiness you dance around the house and you are shouting "I am saved" "I am saved". But you never enter the SUV to escape. All you do is thank this man.
Will you be saved then from the volcano? You don't understand. The behaviours and acts of repentance are the results of believing in Him only, in fact there is no other way to please God except by faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Your volcano analogy from John Bevere is a terrible way to describe the process of salvation. Salvation is not like getting the keys to an SUV. Salvation is more like being carried on the wings of God and flying high above everything. My Father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. (John 10:29) Jesus said when we become saved we are carried in the hands of the Father and no one can ever snatch us away from Him. Think upon those words. |

Jeromejnr: Supposing you were just born again at an altar. Genuinely.
And from the sevice you went back home.
And you sat in your house for 5 years only watching TV.
You didn't smoke, drink, party, commit fornication or lie because you didn't even talk to anyone for 5 yrs.
All you did was watch TV and eat food in your lonely apartment. (You stocked up food for 5yrs). In fact you did nothing that anyone can point out as a sin.
On the 5th year, if Jesus were to come for His bride, will you also go along?
I mean, since you at least only genuinely believed on Him 5yrs ago at an altar.
Will You go to heaven to be with Him? Ok now I get the problem. The simple answer is that nobody who is genuinely born again with the Holy Spirit living inside him will just sit idle in front of a TV eating for five years. Saving faith will automatically produce works pleasing to God without even any involvement of that person. Let me tell you a story from the life of Smith Wigglesworth, a great preacher from many years back. Smith Wigglesworth was invited to the house of a wealthy woman, he preached the gospel to her and she believed. She gave her life to Christ and got born again. Before he left, the newly converted woman called him aside to ask him some questions. She said, Mr. Wigglesworth, from time to time I like to throw parties in my house. Is it alright for me to still throw my parties now? He replied, yes of course, if you can. Then she said, I love playing cards is that still okay? He replied, yes of course, if you can. Then she asked, I like drinking alcohol from time to time, is that fine? He replied, yes of course, if you can. She felt relieved. A few months later, she wrote him a letter. Mr. Wigglesworth, for some reason every single one of those things I told you I liked to do I find that I can no longer do them. I have absolutely no appetite for them and they no longer interest me at all. Now let me ask you a question. That woman, was she saved because she changed her behaviours or did she change her behaviours because she was saved? |

If you don't know the truth and it's hidden from you, then you need to repent.
BTW, if you beleive on One, this means you also believe all He said and act on it. If you believe in Him then that is enough. There is nothing extra that you can add to faith. God bless you. |

Look how far you have fallen! Turn back to me and do the works you did at first. If you don’t repent, I will come and remove your lampstand from its place among the churches. Let us agree to disagree. Only God knows the full truth and by His grace He will help us to understand better. P.S. I still believe that the works referred to in that scripture is faith. Jeromejnr: Then you don't know what faith is then.
Firstly I said faith was a gift of God in an early comment its not by works you get faith.
But when God gives you faith, it comes with the acts based on the faith.
The Hebrews 11 scripture you pointed out even shows this.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. My brother once again you're refusing to see what I am saying because you want to be right. I don't care about being right or wrong, but I know from the clear word of God that there is no effort in faith. The work of faith is automatic and human input is not required. All those works you are referring to are meaningless to God unless they're the result of faith. Human works of righteousness are like filthy rags to God. The only works that God recognizes are the works of faith which involves no human effort or human input. Whatsoever is not of faith is sin. That is all. |

Jeromejnr: Oga..give us lay man definition. What do you understand by faith. How will you explain it to a child? The simplest way I can describe faith is to explain it like a computer program. Faith is a program that is encoded in the word of God. When we hear the word of God then faith is downloaded into our hearts, but it needs our permission to run. Once we allow it, the program runs and automatically executes everything the programmer (God) has instructed it to do. The key issue is that the work of faith is automatic and it is a gift of God, not something that we can ever obtain or earn. |

Jeromejnr: Now I see your problem.
You don't know what faith means.
Please define faith let us see your understanding first. Then I will know how to address you. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for. The evidence of things not seen. I have already answered this your question even before you asked it. Remember when I told you this: "By the way there's nothing mental about faith. Faith is not mental assent to anything. It is a real spiritual substance that God deposits in our hearts when we hear His word and we can either choose to accept it and let it do its work, or we can reject it and opt to try our own works. The choice is yours." That is faith in a nutshell. |

Kingpele: my dear I can see that many has spoken the truth to u here but u are still doubting the truth and the power of God in his word the first thing Jesus Christ preached while on earth is taken from Matthew 4:17 turn away from your sins because the kingdom of God is at hand, is Paul greater than Christ himself, if your faith does not make you holy and strong in Gods love, you are only deceiving yourself, this is why Jesus said some will say in your name I prophecy, in your name I rise the dead and work miracles in your name but I will tell them depart from me all u workers of iniquities... He said also in Matt 18:8-10 if your hand or foot will led u to sin cut it off for it is better for u to enter life without your hand and foot then to have your whole body thrown into hell... Here Jesus is telling those who have real faith in him to avoid sin at all cost, heb 12 :4 for in your struggle against sin. U have not yet resist to the point of being killed, this and more verses in the Bible make it clear you have to see sin first as God sees it before u could be able to overcome the temptation of sin, the love for God opens one eyes to truth about sin and Gods own way, there is many pastors, evengalists, church elders and bishop that are in hell and some of them here is still who are on their way to hell cos of this your kind of mindset, faith is not immunity to continue in sin. But rather immunity to stop sinning.. Please, I never said faith is immunity to continue in sin. There is nowhere in any of my comments where I said such a thing. What I am sharing with you is the good news in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When He died on the cross He said it is finished. He has done it all already. There is nothing left for us to do but just to believe in Him. That is the true Gospel. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Your Attitude To Sin Determines Your Salvation/Perfection, Not Activities by babadee1(m): 3:30pm On May 03, 2020 |
Jeromejnr: I have answered you question Mr Man.
Let me make it simple for you.
God is the one who gives people the faith to be saved.
People who are genuinely saved by God receive a new heart.
This heart craves after good works. And they study their bible to learn how to do these works.
They do these good works and show their appreciation for the grace of God in their lives and they keep this to the end and end up getting the salvation they hope for. They do not receive this grace in vain.
This is done by the Holy Spirit, who can not be given based on our good works. This is why Jesus paid the price, we believe in Him and we are transformed so the Holy Spirit can live in us. The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of the full salvation to come.
.....Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?....
But if you do not appreciate the gift, you will forfeit this salvation because you did not appreciate it in keeping with the good works assigned to you.
Therefore:
Salvation is as a result of Acknowledgement of what the Lord and Saviour has done, repentance and keeping good works done through His Sprit.
It is not I confess, then sit down and watch TV and then end up in heaven. So basically you're saying salvation is something we obtain as a result of the good works that we do in combination with our faith in Christ, not something that comes through faith in Christ alone. Is that what you're saying? Yes or no please. |

Jeromejnr: You keep misapplying the scriptures.
Firstly, the saints are saved to do good works. If you don't do good works, you are just like the tree Jesus spoke about that is taking up the ground and wasting it. And you will be removed and burned in the fire.
Secondly, your flesh dwells no good thing. But it doesn't end there.
This is why "works" were taught to be done in the Spirit.
Jesus said abide in me for without me you can do nothing.
The bible also speaks of walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit. We should walk in the Spirit so that we will not fulfill the works of the flesh.
Paul said I labored more abundantly yet not I, but the grace of God in me.
Holy Spirit is the Spirit of grace who enables us performs the works that are pleasing to the Father.
Jesus said the Father is seeking those who will worship Him in Spirit and truth...not in the flesh. I'm not misapplying the scriptures. You are only seeing what you want to see in my statements. And I noticed you still haven't answered my question. Are we saved by our deeds? Yes or no please. I say no, what do you say? |

Jeromejnr: Sir,
You are not yet fully saved.
Christians on earth are in the process of salvation.
This is why there are scriptures like:
...he that endureth to the end will be saved...
..he that keepeth my works to the end...
...he that overcomes will I grant access to the tree of life..
..hold fast to your crown so that no man may take it...
Also the parable of the talents...the one given the least did not multiply it or invest it and he was cut off from the kingdom.
Many will say unto me..Lord Lord, .......but they will be denied because they did not do the will of the Father. Sir, you have not yet answered my question. Are they saved by their deeds or not? Before you answer you may want to read Romans chapter 7, especially verse 18. Apostle Paul said, I know there is nothing good in me (in my flesh), because I want to do good but I find that I cannot. Oh wretched man that I am who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. That's an Apostle of Christ talking, how much more you and me. The more you try to do good the more you will fail. You can bank on it. |

Jeromejnr: You guys will be twisting scriptures anyhow.
The advise you gave that guy is the advise you should give yourself.
When the apostles spoke about not being saved by the law, they were speaking to Jews who were used to the "works of the law" to cover their sins or what is also known as the laws of Moses.
This was spoken of many times in the book of Acts by the Apostles.
Now James comes along and speaks of a new kind of "works" which is the "works of faith" which is different from the "works of the law of Moses".
The word believe in the bible is not your modern dictionary meaning today. It doesn't mean just a mental assent. This is why James says the devil believes also and trembles. But what separates the believers from devils is the acts done based on that belief.
This is why Jesus spoke on judgements based on works that people will do. "Many will say to Him Lord, Lord, and He will tell them to depart why?" You answer that question yourself.
The fruits of true belief is acts/works done based on the belief. If you believe on the Lord Jesus, it means you also believe all He's said and you will act on it or there will be consequences.
You work out your salvation. You don't mentally assent to it and believe you will end up in heaven.
Learn to rightly divide the word of truth.
Thank you. Thanks for this exposition. So tell me how do you work out your salvation? By the way there's nothing mental about faith. Faith is not mental assent to anything. It is a real spiritual substance that God deposits in our hearts when we hear His word and we can either choose to accept it and let it do its work, or we can reject it and opt to try our own works. The choice is yours. |

Kingpele: oga ask holy spirit to abide in u because only holy spirit gives every one who desire to be holy the wisdom for holy living, God who is holy is life himself and Jesus said just as the father have life in himself so he has given the son right to have life, Jesus said am the resurrection and life, life of God is holiness and that also is the power of God, it is God that saves his people from their sins Matt 1:21 angel Gabriel told Joseph when he wanted to dismiss Mary cos of her pregnancy, he said she will have a son and u will call him Jesus because he will save his people from their sins, the purpose of Christ coming is to save us from our sins by revealing to us what sin does to us through his suffering and death on the cross, so that if we believe in him and especially if we believe he died for our sins, we might receive the grace to hate sins as much as God hate it and by so doing we become free from sins no matter the gain or pleasure, Salvation belongs to God , God said in Leviticus 21:8 my people must consider the priest holy because he present food offerings to me, I am the lord, am holy and I make my people holy... Jesus Christ made us kings and priest in rev1,:6 he loves us and by his sacrificial death he has freed us from our sins and made us kings and priests to serve his God and father, finally holy spirit make children of God holy and free from sins through the Same wisdom that keep God holy, cos we are made in image and likeness of God our maker, a sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is someone that believes and obey Christ, you can't obey Christ and still live in sin, after Jesus healed the man born blind, he said to him see that u stop sinning or worst thing will happen to you.... There is wisdom of the righteous which controls the mind of the saints of God and deceptive wisdom which controls the minds of slaves of sin, ask God to make you holy by his holy spirit, nothing is impossible with God, just believe and receive the gift of holy life of God, it not by power or might but by the spirit of God zech4:6 My brother, if you believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God and He died on the cross of Calvary for your sins and God raised him up on the third day, then you are already saved. Nothing more or less is needed. The Bible says all our righteousness are as filthy rags (Isaiah 64:6). And there is none who does what is righteous not even one (Romans 3:10). Stop trying to be holy and just believe in Jesus, everything else will flow from there. |

We are talking about salvation, Apostle James in that verse you quoted was not talking about salvation o. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. There are no works involved in salvation, only faith. Only after we have been saved can our faith bear fruits of righteousness. But the works themselves have nothing to do with our salvation, it's just a direct byproduct. Faith only saves us and keeps us saved, not works. In Acts 16:30-31, the jailer asked Paul and Silas, What must I do to be saved? They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. They did not ask him to do anything about works. OkpanachiMax: Treating sexual immorality in general in which fornication(premarital sex), adultery(extra-marital sex), masturbation, pornography etc are included.
Human sexuality is so explicit and complex that we need to deal with it from within. Indecent dressing live on the street and on social media is the greatest influence of these things.
Also the evolution of adult film industry sealed the fate of mankind. Man for instance was created with a constant sexual feeling, this sexual feeling is low when there is no erotic image and high when there is, so in order to suppress this feeling, we need to minimize our activities on social media, we need to sensitize the female to dress decently if not we will all rot in hell with our religious sentimentality because 95% of youths are guilty of this.
NB: It is not easy to preach what you are guilty of if you have a strong conscience
Feel free to add your own contributions This has nothing to do with Christianity. Our focus should be on Jesus and the truth of His word. Dealing with sexual immorality in society is not part of our calling as Christians. |

davidinchrist: Truly, followers of Jesus are not exactly perfect and can't be perfect on earth like Jesus till His second coming; however, we have been called to Repent of KNOWN SINS and PRESS UNTO PERFECTION in Jesus.
It's about time we stopped believing that doing good: going to church regularly (as a member/worker/pastor, etc), paying tithes and offerings, helping people or being nice, planting churches and other good works are signs of being born-again or saved. We can't possibly bribe our way into God's kingdom by doing Good Works which are as good as Filthy Rags in God's sight.
Jesus said A Person must be Born Again to enter God's kingdom.
Now, to be born again means to TURN AWAY FROM SINS AND WORLDLINESS (starting from conscious areas, then later to unconscious areas of sins: from the known to the unknown sins). Hebrew chap. 6, Roman chap 7 & 8
Unfortunately, most Evangelists, Pastors, and Churches in general only end up making "Branded Church-Members," NOT necessarily Converted members (disciples), but people of like-minded that would faithfully pay their FIRST FRUITS, TITHES AND OFFERINGS, ETC. That prompts the question on whether they themselves are saved or NOT: the chances are that they ARE NOT, OR ONCE WERE, BUT NOW "FALLEN AWAY".
Are you truly SAVED?
Are you judging yourself; Repenting and PRESSING ONTO PERFECTION?
OR you're still a victim of Money seeking: Corrupt and Greedy Preachers?
It's TIME to Repent of Empty Church Religion that does not lead to HOLINESS (obedience to Jesus according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John).
1 John 2:6 NLT Those who say they live in God should LIVE their lives as Jesus DID.
Luke 5:32 KJV I came not to CALL the righteous, but Sinners to Repentance.
Hebrews 6:1 KJV ... let us GO on unto PERFECTION; ...
Hebrews 12:14 KJV Follow peace with all men , and HOLINESS, without which no man shall SEE the Lord:
John 5:14 NLT 14 But afterward Jesus found him in the Temple and TOLD him, “Now you are WELL; SO STOP SINNING, or something even WORSE may happen to you.”
Matthew 24:24 NLT 24 For FALSE messiahs and FALSE PROPHETS will rise up and PERFORM GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS so as to Deceive, if possible, EVEN God’s Chosen Ones.
May Jesus Bless You. Your faith in Jesus Christ determines your salvation. Nothing else. |

Ishilove: Dog Lovers, Please I Need Advise On My Rott's Naughty Behavior
I have a one and a half year old Rottweiler named Gift and I don't understand him anymore. We can't chastise him again when he misbehaves because he bares his teeth and growls menacingly at us if we try to spank him for being naughty. He welcomes us when we come home like any loyal, loving pet, but yesterday he shocked me. Usually as we are about to enter the house he playfully holds one foot down so we can't enter, or he jumps on you and hugs you tight so you can't move. When I got back from work yesterday I was exhausted and I didn't have energy for his play so I hugged him briefly but as I entered the house I mistakenly stepped on his right hindpaw.
He howled, left me, and lunged at me, this time to bite me. He actually narrowly missed my arm.
I was mad. I turned and yelled "Gift are you mad?" He bared his fangs and barked at me. Me sef I bared my teeth at him and ordered him to stand down. He growled, me sef I growled back. Do you know this dog kept advancing menacingly at me and barking? I quickly borrowed myself brain and locked the door. Werey dog.
I can't shoo Matilda, my chicken in his presence. He covers her with his body and warns me away. And now, the most perplexing thing is he now marking every where in the compound. My sib came visiting and before he entered the house, he quickly relieved himself outside because he was very pressed. Do you know Gift went to where the dude urinated and peed on top? It has gotten so bad now that Gift entered the house and marked different sections of the corridor and smaller dining area with pee.
Now, I don't know if this is classic Rott behavior or if he is just being indisciplined. I confess we spoilt him a bit because he is such a sweet animal when he is not misbehaving.
How do we discipline a dog that has grown wings? He is well socialised so it's not a case of too much isolation. Your dog thinks he's the alpha of the pack. You didn't raise him with enough sense of discipline and knowledge of his place in the pack. It's too late now unless you can arrange for obedience training with an outside expert who knows how to properly repair dog behaviors. |

Later on I figured out he had accommodation issue after he lost his job. He later rented a house when he got another job with one of our prestigious federal universities here in Nigeria and that was when things became serious (kinda).
We became very serious around 2016 that is why I count it as 5 years instead of 7. But then during one of my visits, I was sleeping in the room when I overheard him talking to someone but the only thing that caught my attention was when he said "I don't even have a girlfriend". Though I didn't confront him, but I thought about it deeply.
Two nights ago, I had a dream where he was getting married to another lady. I was crying while he was still saying he loves me but can't marry me. I confronted him yesterday, he said I am pressurizing him to marry me that was after he first asked what will happen if we don't end up together. He hasn't told me where the relationship is leading to after 5 years. We have been living for the moment. Just for the moment!
Few info about the relationship 1) He will be 40 this November while I am 27. 2. He has always had numerous girlfriends that when he's with them, he doesn't pick my calls though he always apologizes and he's trying his best this year.
3. He always send pictures of other women to his friends to let them know they are the people he wish to marry but never has he sent mine. Though he claims he's not doing it again.
4. From the look of things he's still searching while he wants to have me all to himself. Maybe a second option since the others are not accepting him and I love him foolishly.
5. The relationship is 50 -50 .We spend on each other. He believes it's the woman's duty to do all the house chores but not the man's duty to take care of the woman.
6. On his Fathers burial last year, 3 of his girlfriends came (me inclusive) and we all wore the burial uniform. Together, we served his guests even when we realized we are dating same man. His neighbors were giggling and gossiping but we all decided to be matured and work together.
7. When my sister that raised me died, he didn't come for the burial. his reason was he had supervision that day in school, same person that calls his colleague to cover for him during exam supervision so he could do other things. He also didn't send me any money but he questioned me for not giving him any money for his Father's burial. Even when I paid him excess for the burial uniform. I know why I did that. Mind you, he has asked me before if he can give one of his ex 10k during her Father's burial which I agreed and he sent her the money.
8. I have rejected some suitors who were willing to marry me coz of him. Though he has never encouraged me to accept any of them. In fact he gets angry hearing that another man is coming close to me.
9. He doesn't call often, I do more of the calling though he always return my calls. He can stay for days without calling unless I call. I know I have been the one holding the relationship coz I thought he will change.
10. Sine 2017 till last year, all I did was forgive him coz I love him. He keeps bringing new / different ladies into the picture. I have gone through a lot of emotional stress. He keeps asking me to stay that he loves me but he's confused.
His good side: He's understanding, motivates me to do my best, he doesn't hit me, he is gentle.
Me on the other hand is sometimes stubborn though very faithful coz I love him to a fault. I easily get angry but forgives easily. When I'm angry I talk so much but I don't abuse him. He is simply the cause of all my anger. He always say I am very understanding, a good girl, drama free but yet he doesn't want to marry me and won't let me go too. I have never involved a third party in our relationship except my late sister who said she wish I will walk away from the relationship because I love the guy more, that it won't end well. All my friends thinks I have a perfect relationship because I don't discuss him with them.
Back to last night, I told him I won't call him again coz he said I am pressurizing him to marry me. The truth is I have seen the hand writing on the wall, not today but two years ago but I keep going back. Please I need advice on how not to go back again. The love he proclaims for me is not enough for him to marry. I have wasted enough time already. Maybe hearing the raw truth here will help. That guy is never going to marry you but I guess you know that already. What you need to do now is to find someone new as soon as possible and move on with your life. Delete his contact info and block him on your social media. Good luck to you and your new man. |

Enemyofdarkness: I opened a mini shop lately and I employed one fine girl there as a sales girl. Based on my observation, she has every quality a girl should have.
And most importantly, she took my business as hers, running around, doing all sort things. Everytime I visit that shop and its surroundings, I always met it tidied up.
Yesterday I overheard her asking my friend if I have a girlfriend but my friend said no.
My issue is, if I should date her, won't she start disrespecting me and acting shenanigan? You should never poop where you eat and you should never date where you work. Serious people do not date their workers. If you really feel like you love her so much then find another job for her and then you can date her |
Family › Re: My Fiancée Has Stopped Picking My Calls, Please Advise Me On What To Do by babadee1(m): 6:52pm On Feb 07, 2020 |
sylvestersamuel: Good morning my fellow Nairalanders, I will try to make my story brief and precise.... I have a fiancée whom I am already engaged to. As a matter of fact I have already done all our traditional marriage and rites the only thing left is our white wedding which will be coming up in the next 3 weeks.
Yesterday, my fiancée came to visit me in my house so as to discuss our wedding plans. But before she left, we had a slight misunderstanding and the reason for our misunderstanding was because I allocated 50% of our wedding expenses to her i.e (she would be the one to sew her wedding gown, pay for the catering service amongst others) while I take care of other expenses...
On hearing this, she didn't even utter a word but left with annoyance, since then I have been trying to call her but she hasn't been picking my calls neither have she replied any of my messages....
Please I need your advice, did I do or say anything wrong, because I know how much I spent during our traditional marriage rite and mind you, she earns close to 200k per month.... Insult in form of advice is allowed all I need is just your advice. Anywhere in the world the wedding dress is the responsibility of the man just like the engagement and wedding rings too. It's your gift to your wife. If for any reason you knew you needed financial help with the wedding you should have approached your In-laws and told them where you need help and they could have contributed to the wedding or talked to your fiancee to help out. Send her a message apologizing and asking to talk things over. It's clear you goofed bro. |

We are still a colony even after 60 years of so called independence. No longer a British colony, we are now an American colony. Our leaders are just simply reporting themselves to our colonial masters. |
Foreign Affairs › Trump Administration To Add Nigeria To Travel Ban. by babadee1(op): 10:23pm On Jan 22, 2020 |
Trump administration plans to add Nigeria and six other nations to travel ban list: reports Reuters. January 21, 2020, 9:49 PM GMT+1 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration is planning to add seven countries - Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania - to its travel ban list, U.S. media reports said on Tuesday. Some countries will face bans only on some visa categories, the Wall Street Journal reported. The list of countries was not final and could yet change, website Politico said. U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with the Journal that he was considering adding countries to the travel ban, but declined to state which ones. Politico said an announcement was expected as early as Monday. The move is likely to sour ties between the United States and the countries affected under the expanded ban. Nigeria, for example, Africa's largest economy and most populous country, is a U.S. anti-terrorism partner and has a large diaspora residing in the United States. A senior Trump administration official said that countries that failed to comply with security requirements, including biometrics, information-sharing and counter-terrorism measures, faced the risk of limitations on U.S. immigration. The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The State Department declined to comment. Under the current version of the ban, citizens of Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria and Yemen, as well as some Venezuelan officials and their relatives are blocked from obtaining a large range of U.S. immigrant and non-immigrant visas. Chad was previously covered under the ban but was removed in April 2018. Citizens of the countries can apply for waivers to the ban, but they are exceedingly rare. tammie24: Say you only complimented her looks you didn't mean any disrespect You should never make references to your boss' looks unless you already know you have that kind of relationship with them. Doing so can be hazardous to your career as this young fellow is about to find out. |
