Family › Re: I Told My Husband That I Cheated On Him. Now He Wants A Divorce. by babadee1(m): 11:42am On May 22, 2019 |
Marbella003: I took some of the advice from my previous thread and told my husband what happened. Here is the thread:
https://www.nairaland.com/5162191/cheated-husband-guy-work-dont
I was genuine shedding tears as I relayed my shameful experience to him. I apologized and begged for him to forgive me and I promised to never repeat such again. I thought he'd understand and forgive me. But I was wrong. My husband now wants a divorce. Actually, he has sent me and the kids out of his house. I have a daughter who is 4 and a son who is 2. My husband said he doesn't think he is the father. I assured him that he is and that he should get a DNA test to confirm. But he refused.
I rented a 2 bedroom flat somewhere close to my office. This is where I currently stay. Since leaving my husband's house I have only received a phone call from him where he stated the date that he and I were going to visit my parents who are currently in my village. He told me that if I wasn't going to come, he'd go alone and tell them what happened and why he decided to divorce me.
I feel like my life is over. I can't face my parents and tell them what I've done. It's very shameful. I can't even face my friends and relations. I feel like I'm drowning a pool of shame and despair. I can't imagine being a single mother at this age. I love my husband and I enjoyed our marriage. I can't imagine it all being over.
I called my colleague and told him everything. He said that I shouldn't hold him responsible for anything since our rendezvous was based on mutual consent. He said he doesn't want to have anything to with me and we should keep our relationship at work very platonic so as not to raise eyebrows of those who might link him to what happened with me.
I'm utterly hopeless. I feel like taking my life. I almost took this action yesterday but I pitied my children. But with every passing day I feel like suicide is the only way to end my pain. I wish I had listened to those people who advised me to keep what I did a secret. I wanted to, but every time I was with my husband I felt I was constantly betraying him by hiding the truth from him. I just want to die. I can't bare this pain anymore. Telling your husband was a foolish mistake. Tell God your faults and let Him assuage your guilty conscience. Your husband can do nothing for you now. You've blown it with him. |

HallaDaTruth: Compare the American economy under Obama and Trump, you will clearly see that Trump is far better. But people like you, lgbt community, illegal migrants and that evil CNN will say otherwise. You have fallen for the lies and the propaganda. The US economy experienced the worst recession in its history at the tail end of the Bush presidency. 100% of the recovery from the recession took place under Obama. By the time Trump was sworn in January 2017 there was no more recession. The unemployment rate and GDP growth rate recovered more in absolute terms under Obama than under Trump today. The fact that Obama supports gay rights doesn't make him a bad president. You may disagree because of your so called Christian views, but Trump also supported gay rights and abortion rights all his entire adult life. He lied about his position on everything to win Republican support. Trump is an unrepentant liar and a noise maker. |

id911: I don't like Rochas Okorocha but in this instance, INEC has no powers to withhold his certificate of return since the same INEC has already declared him winner whether under duress or whatever name it may call it.
If INEC says Rochas didn't win, they should announce the winner of the Senatorial districts which unfortunately too, they have no power again to reverse itself. The case is now matter for the court to do justice INEC never declared him the winner. The returning officer said he was announcing the result under duress so that is not a proper declaration. It is automatically null and void. |
Romance › Re: How Do I Politely Turn Down Ladies' Sexual Advances? by babadee1(m): 12:03am On Mar 16, 2019 |
sanmtiago: Sorry my write up may be lengthy but I'll try as much as possible to be concise
I don't usually see myself as a ladies man cause i'm just a simple person who likes it low key but ladies keep coming around. Of course I like women but I'm not the type who has that excessive impulse to have a woman around me for sex and all that romantic ish. I do have sex when I want to cause I have a girlfriend and I'm loyal to her also. I'm not loyal to her because I love her so much i think I'm loyal because I technically have this inherent self discipline so I hardly chase women. I've dated my girl friend for 2yrs and I've never cheated on her even when I've a deluge of girls flocking around me.
I'm a final year student in my mid twenties and my girl in her early twenties. I don't cohabit cause it doesn't appeal to me so all she does is visit and spend the weekend at my house at times.
Now down to the subject matter I make friends irrespective of their sex but the thing is most of the females I make friends with always want to take the friendship further, they visit me at late hours at times 8pm, 9pm and they stay beyond 10pm and once it's after 10 they begin to give frivolous excuses like, I don't think it'd be safe going home alone by this time of the night or they say they've locked my hostel gate so I literally have no choice than to let them pass the night.
The shocking thing is they begin to make romantic demands like 'can you pls cuddle me I'm cold' I find it so disrespectful cause they know full well I have a girlfriend and I'm not that kind of guy they think I'm.
It happens too often and I'm no longer comfortable with it at this same time I don't want to lose friends as they're nice people. Even as much as my girl knows my level of honesty and discipline she still nervous breakdown because of the inordinate amount of calls from this so called Jezebels.
Please how do I curb this without losing friends cause like I said earlier they're nice and to some extent they've been helpful. How have you been curbing it up till now? Continue doing that same thing. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Death Is Proof That A Higher Power (god) Exists by babadee1(m): 11:07am On Feb 17, 2019 |
theoriginalgood: Why is it that all humans die someday? Even the Christians say “Jesus” died, but not: “God” died. In the Bible, Mark 10:18 says only God is truly good. I can believe this because all humans die and God does not. Humans are beings. God is a being. One dies, the other doesn’t. If you’re honest with yourself, you’ll know you’re not really a good being. Otherwise, you’ll never die. It’s undeniable. Then it should be no surprise to know that humanity is on the verge of extinction; there’s a war between Good and evil behind the scenes. Goodness should have just deleted evil at the beginning, but strangely, evil has enough power to prevent its immediate death. This is why humanity STILL exists today. But by definition, good is stronger than evil; Goodness will win the war and finally vanquish humanity after striking ENOUGH killer blows to evil.
Now, how come humans don’t exist in a perfect abode like what you could call Heaven? A place where there is only peace, one is always strong and healthy, no hatred, no dishonesty, no filth etc.
You are what you create! God is only good and thus cannot create anything that isn’t good. It is known that existence is full of many infirmities and rubbish. Who created those? Definitely not God! This therefore means that humans are actually all the sin, evil, bad, wrong, flaws etc in existence. Yes, there is a human out there who embodies bad breath, initials: BB = Barry Borden, who embodies body odor, initials: BO = Benjamin Oliver, who embodies weakness, initials: WN = Winifred Newton etc.
Good is stronger than evil, therefore God cannot be limited and is already omnipotent and omniscient. He can do absolutely anything good, but there is no such thing as purifying humanity. Making a change to a being means changing identity. Purging humanity would mean deleting the old identity of sin, and somehow creating a new one of purity. That deletion means death. They call it sinner, but that sinner is actually a sin itself!
The fact that humans die means humanity is not good. Accept it. Therefore there’s a higher power ensuring that existence will one day be purified. Too bad no one here will be there! I'm a Christian but I have to tell you, this is a dumb argument for the existence of God. In fact, it is not even an argument at all. There is no real premise to debate. You're just stating your own position on death that you are already convinced of. You are not trying to convince anybody else but yourself. Personally, I believe that at the point of death, the soul is separated from the body. However, my belief of that is not proof that the soul exists at all. |

Health › Re: Staphylococcus Aureus Is Ruining My Life! Nairaland Please Help! by babadee1(m): 1:49pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
GenSpecifics: This fake staph diagnosis usually are symptomatic to Urinary Tract Infections in men i.e. waist pain, delirium, lethargy and general body weakness.
UTI symptoms in men are more pronounced and harder to treat.
What is your take? Well, first of all, the OP did a blood culture not a urine culture. If truly he had active Staphylococcus aureus blood infection (also known as septicemia) he would be severely ill and on admission in the hospital, or dead by now. The symptoms of uncomplicated UTI are similar for men and women, painful urination (dysuria) and mild fever. The symptoms you mentioned can occur over time if a UTI is left untreated, resulting in a complicated ascending infection which can infect the kidneys (pyelonephritis). Any person having painful urination and intermittent fever should see their doctor promptly for investigation and treatment. |

Unhealthy: I had to open this new moniker so that I can share my problems without any shame
I developed the staphylococcus infection last year through toilet I life has been so terrible for me.
I have been battling with constant headache, fatigue and shortness of breath, and a worm like movement in my body for a long time. Sometimes I feel numbness on the part of my body and it's really affecting me. My boss has been complaining about my incompetence at work and it's possible I lose my job if things continue this way
I've gone to several hospitals and spend a lot of money to conduct series of test after which blood culture revealed I have a heavy growth of Staphylococcus Aureus.
I took the result to a doctor and he prescribed Pefloaxin for me and I also took five injection to flush this bacteria and it seemed like I was getting out of the bond of this bacteria until the symptoms returned back few weeks later.
I decided to resort to Nairaland because most of the doctors I've gone to are incompetent, and I don't want to take too much antibiotics so that my body will not become resistant to it.. The way this staph is affecting me is becoming unbearable. I can't sleep or breath well
Someone suggested I go to general hospital since they seem to be more experienced but all na the same. They are always too much in a hurry to attend to patients and prescribe drugs.
Please if you have treated this stubborn infection before, how did you manage to cure it completely? Did you use drugs or herbs?
I know many carriers of this bacteria normally get scammed by online advertisers and I know they will flood this thread with their fake herbal drugs. Please I need you to come to my aid and don't look for a way to swindle money from me with ineffective drugs
Here is the result of my test.
Please help me move this to the FP for a wider audience Please stop wasting your money. You don't have a Staph infection. I repeat, you don't have a Staph infection. The sample collection process was obviously not properly done and there was contamination either from your skin or the skin of the sample collector. All of the symptoms you described indicate what is known as somatization disorder, probably as a result of anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder or both. You may need to see a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist. |

It's really funny that the writer chose to use Barack Obama as an example in this case. Someone who ran for president as a candidate of one of the two major parties in the US. There is nothing like a third force in American politics. Every single president has either been a Republican or a Democrat for the past 200 years. Independent and third party candidates have little to no chance of winning over there.
Since Nigeria has chosen to adopt a US style of politics, it is likely that we will evolve into a two party system as well. The so-called third force candidates need to go and register with either APC or PDP, and work their way up through the ranks to run for president if they would ever hope to win one day. |

oyebanji44: let me just go straight...Nigeria"s political problems sprang from the carefee manner in which the British took over, administered, and abandoned the government and the people of Nigeria.British administrator did not make an effort to weld the country together and unite the heterogeneous groups of people.this doesn't imply that British administration did nothing good in Nigeria.far from it.many things stand on their credit, and it is clear that present day Nigeria owes certain achievement to the spade work of the British administrators.Nevertheless there was one evil that outlived British administration namely political non advancement.when the British came they forcibly rubber stamped the political state of the ethnic groups of Nigeria, and maintained that status quo until they left.Upon their departure nearly a hundred year later, the people resumed fighting for their political right. You can blame the British not Nzeogwu for the political gloom in Nigeria..on issue of biafra agitation..the saddest thing about all was that the clash was a clash of personalities -(blw Gowon and ojukwu) nor politics, nor principles.Nzeogwu fought on what he believed. Before the British came there was nothing like Nigeria. They created the notion of Nigeria based on their own interests not ours. It was not in their interests to promote national unity so why would they do that? They got one thing right though, the only way to properly administer Nigeria is through autonomous regional governments collaborating and competing with each other. That was the status quo until the military took over and forced a unitary system of government on us which is easier for the purposes of dictatorship. Till today, even with so-called democracy, Nigeria is still a quasi dictatorship due to the legacy of military intervention in our politics. I blame Nzeogwu for that. |

germaphobe: . If the january coup had been successful, there would have been a better nigeria than that of today cus it involved all the corrupt high ranked officials in the country, from the north to the south west and east but unfuturnately only the north was simi sucessful. if it had been successful all through aguirunsi wouldn't have taken power, ojukwu wouldn't have thought of breaking the east out ibb would not have succeeded and many more. This is nothing more than wishful thinking. You have no evidence for any of this. Once the scourge of military intervention was unleashed in Nigeria the country started going downhill. That's just the fact. Anything else is just your imagination. |

dermmy: Military in politics is an aberration they are dictators but this same military changed the future of some countries outside Africa, countries like south korea. General Park Chung-Hee of South Korea laid the foundation of modern day south korea. Jacobo Arbenz Guzman of Guatemala too had great vision before he was ousted by the CIA because of his communist leaning. Nzeogwu and his colleagues wanted to change Nigeria to communist state and we would have enjoyed so many assistance from the Soviet union. Tech transfer etc. Those guys had big plans so sad the revolution failed All well and good but I'm more concerned about the Nigerian experience and military intervention in the governance of Nigeria has been nothing but a total disaster. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Regardless of the intentions of Nzeogwu and his friends, they set this country up for perennial disaster by introducing the idea of military governance to Nigeria. This country is ungovernable using a unitary top down system which came with the military. Even the colonial powers knew that Nigeria required a unique system of devolution of powers and regional autonomy to function. The military destroyed all of that. |
