Jobs/Vacancies / Re: UK Has Stopped The Recruitment Of Doctors And Nurses From Nigeria And 46 Others by babadee1(m): 8:17am On Mar 12, 2021
WoundedLamb:
It's sad that the western world gives medical aids to Africa yet "takes" their medical personnel. Who's to blame? The Europeans and Americans that employ skilled people (who willingly applied) to serve their countries or the doctors that leave their home countries after getting trained by their local institutions in search of greener pastures?

They don't take anybody please. Labour must be allowed to be freely offered in a moral society otherwise it becomes slavery. If African countries cannot offer their medical personnel a conducive environment to practice then it is their own fault.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: How Being Righteous Made Me Lose A Dream Job by babadee1(m): 6:08pm On Feb 28, 2021
barnny:
We all know getting a job in this country is another hell graduates is going through till date, talk more of getting a dream job.

I will try to be brief as much as I can.

Haven applied for so many jobs and attended some interviews, I finally saw one graduate trainee job (my kind of dream job tho) as at January this year. Although is a banking job which is actually my dream job. I wrote their aptitude test which I passed. We were eight that was invited for their interview out of over 70 candidates that applied and I was lucky to be part of those eight. To the glory of God I scape through at the first stage of the interview. At the Final stage of the interview (One on one interview) was where my righteousness or should I call it "Being Truthful" deprive me of my dream job. You may ask how did I know, but the truth is, that is what deprived me of getting the job. I don't want to explain further on that just to cut the story short.

The question they ask me that lead to my disqualification was: "Do you know anyone in this bank?" And my reply was "Yes". And truly I know someone working there but he wasn't even the one that ask me to apply. I only came across the job and I applied. But I never knew I'm suppose to say NO, I also never knew the answer will snatched the job away from me.

After all the sacrifices, sleepless nights on night journey from one town to another, After almost getting an accident on these our bad road, not to talk of the time and resources I have invested in getting this job. look at my life?
See where my righteousness has brought me into?

Just yesterday some of my colleagues got invitation for their medicals. And since that yesterday I have been so deeply down. I feel depressed. I feel like just giving up. Why me? What is really wrong somewhere that I don't know?Just imaging the kind of opportunity I have missed even when I know age is no longer on my side when it comes to this kind of job...

Honestly I'm tired. I feel like not going to church today. I am confused and feel like it's over. cry

I don't think you really understand the true meaning of righteousness my brother. It's not what you do or don't do that makes you righteous, it's Who you believe. May God help you.

There is nowhere in the world where civilian aviation investigation boards are allowed to investigate military aircraft accidents. That's the responsibility of the Air Force. Military flight missions are very often top secret and civilians do not have the type of clearance required to look into such missions.

I am angry right now,
My brother’s wife is so full of pain, whenever she sight me.
I don’t know where this hatred is coming from, today she did worst than before.
a male friend visited, and I went to the kitchen to cook and serve him.

After my friend left she started ranting, and I shouted back at her.

She packed out my belongings , and she started throwing my bags and other stuffs outside.
She locked the house entrance and left with the keys

I decided to stay calm and wait for my brother to come back.

Because everything my brother own, we both struggled for it.

Pls leave your brother's house and his family alone. You need to focus on building your own life and your own family. If truly you worked with your brother to help him build that is good but it doesn't mean that he owes you anything at all. It is time for you to go and do for yourself.

There is no ban of Fulani herdsmen in Ondo State. They are only banned from grazing deep in the forests. This has become a security risk and that is why the ban was effected. They are free to graze in the open areas.

Trayceey:
I Need Your Opinion On This Issue That's Threatening My Relationship

My fiance wanted to come to the house to see my mum but I told him I won't be around because I'm about heading out to somewhere, so he asked me if my mum would be around, then I said yes and he said he would still go to see her and it doesn't matter if I'm not around.

When I later got home that night, my mum complained that he came empty handed. He didn't bring anything for her and she was the one who offered him her drink.

Although initially, I didn't see anything wrong with that but when my mum expressed her displeasure, I later called him to ask why he came to the house empty handed then I let him know I wasn't happy with him, that it would have been better if he didn't come. He tried arguing with me but I hung up.

Since then, we haven't spoken to each other nor visited each other. Was I wrong?

You and your mother are not ready for a husband and a son in law. Nonsense!

Fellow nairalanders,
Please, I need help.

I used to be a play boy, doing it for fun not knowing the consequences of my actions.

I have had countless heart broken, over 500 ladies. Promised and failed and disappointed many women although I never promised anyone marriage but always tricked them with a lovely relationship.

Now everything in my life seems backwards. Some girls have threatened to curse me in the past.

Now no money to even buy soap unlike before where I make over 700k monthly.

How can I set myself free and move forward in life?

First you must be born again. Repent of all your sins and give your life to Jesus. Then you must find a good Bible believing church to join. Once you're a member of a good Bible believing church then enquire about how to undergo deliverance there. It is well with you in Jesus name Amen.

Romance / Re: I Love Him So Much But I'm Afraid I've Lost Him. by babadee1(m): 10:18am On Dec 11, 2020
LucyB24:
I'm a 24 year old lady living and working in Abuja. My job is very time demanding. I'm usually very busy on weekdays, and sometimes on weekends I can get called to work if something important comes up.

There is a guy I've known for months now. We met in Abuja at an event and we've been friends since. He lives in lagos but visits Abuja occasionally. He's also a very busy guy and he hardly has time on his hands. We have spent sometime together talking and getting to know each other but we haven't been on an official date. Most of our interaction has been over phone calls and WhatsApp text messages due to the distance barrier.

I fell in love with him during the course of our friendship. He is everything I want in a man. He's financially stable, very good looking and smart. The few times I've spent talking to him have been a pleasure, both for my eyes and for my mind. I never thought I could ever meet someone who checks all those boxes perfectly.

Men like him usually get a lot of female attention and I've tried to tread carefully. I didnt want him to see me as cheap but I also don't want him to think I am not interested in him. The day he told me he loved me was very memorable for me because I felt the same way. Few days later I told him I loved him too. Due to the distance barrier we could only talk on phone. I'm a very decent lady with good upbringing but because of what I felt for him, I did things I thought I'd never do. One night we had a sex chat that ended in me sending nudes to him. I've never done this before. This made me feel vulnerable and cheap because even though he said he loved me, I never believed him because he didn't really act like someone who was in love with me. He wasn't the type to call everyday and there were periods where he would dissapear for days and ignore my calls and texts and then return like nothing happened.

Last week we planned a special meeting. I was to travel to Lagos to see him at his place on Saturday morning. He had planned to refund me the money I'd use for my airline ticket and even hire a taxi that would bring me straight to his place from the airport. The way he sounded I knew he took it as a big deal. I agreed to come see him in lagos. On Friday morning he called and I assured him I was going to come. He called me again in the afternoon and I assured him I was going to come.

Towards the end of work on Friday my boss informed me that I had to be at work on Saturday to complete a very important project. Immediately I got the information I sent him a text. I was too tired when I left for home and I planned on calling him later that evening. I was so tired that I took a quick nap and woke up to missed calls from him. I called him back and asked if he got my message and he said he didn't. I informed him of the change in plans and he got very furious. He accused me of being indecisive and playing games. He said he had cancelled lots of meetings and spent money preparing for my visit and was disappointed that I didn't take him as seriously as he took me. He ended the call in annoyance and I've not heard from him since. He isn't picking my calls or replying my texts. I've sent him voice messages on WhatsApp apologizing and explaining myself but he hasn't replied..

I really love this guy and I don't want to lose him. He probably thinks I'm lying to him or that I have someone else I'm seeing but that's not the case.

He has no patience and he seems to have very little actual consideration for you as well. My guess is that the guy is not actually very serious about you. If he's not willing to be understanding and to give things another chance then please let him go and forget about him.

Been trying to make ends meet in Nigeria but the country hasn't been hustle friendly, suffering today and smiling tomorrow. I tried running the 2years visa last year but it was futile, I decided to give in to the 3 months visit visa.

Please can I get a job under 3 months? even if it's a menial job, I'm a graduate though but keep that one aside for now. I don't wanna come back to Nigeria now.

What do I need to come along with while coming to Dubai?

Can I save up and move to Canada or Europe at the end of 2years?

Try your best to get a job within the three months period and use that to regularize your papers. If you can't get a job please come back home. Don't make the mistake of overstaying cos if they catch you and deport you then no country will ever give you a visa again. Good luck.

Yeah...but not in Nigeria.

I knew you would say this. I knew because most of us Nigerians have given up. They have deceived us and oppressed us for so long that we have given up and allowed them to get away with anything they want to do to us. But there is a new generation of Nigerians who have refused to give up. Who are saying enough is enough. Lies and oppression must give way to honesty and good governance in this country.
If you don't believe we can change our government and our destiny that's fine, we can't force you to believe. But please don't let yourself be used to stand in the way of what God wants to do to liberate Nigeria. You don't have to talk, but if you must talk please only tell the truth, don't support lies and you will see what God will do in your life and in the destiny of Nigeria.

They are anti-Christ. Simple.

Trump, while not a model Christian, is willing to stick out his neck to protect Christian rights. They don't like that.

Anyone who has followed dems in recent times, knows they want to build a godless society. A society where anything about God (most especially, the Christian God) is completely eroded.

One message for Christians though is that regardless of the outcome of this elections, Christianity is going back to the catacombs in the near future. Serious persecution.

How did Trump stick out his neck to protect Christian rights, please explain. The Bible already tells us that we as Christians will face persecution, especially in the last days. What does Donald Trump or US elections have to do with that?

What kind of prayers should I pray when the temptation arises, which Bible verse should I read?

Please know this is someone who's been addicted to porn for more than 7 years.

By the time the temptations begin to arise it is usually too late. You have to prepare for the temptations well in advance. Study, memorize and meditate on the Bible, especially on scriptures about the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. Ask God for help and make the decision to believe that He has heard you and has helped you. If you prepare then when the temptations come you will know what to do.

Don't be distracted by the things you're doing instead focus on the things that Jesus has already done for you. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). My certificates have become useless. I graduated in 2008, passed out of NYSC in 2010. Till date I have not used my certificates for anything. What I am regretting in my life now is time I wasted in the university. My wife graduated in 2015, she is now learning tailoring because she couldn't get a job too.

The days when being a graduate with a degree certificate means automatic employment are long gone. Everybody is a graduate now, nothing special to that. Employers are looking for life skills, not certificates. Those life skills, like networking, public speaking, taking initiative, solving problems, collaborating on projects, etc, cannot be taught in school. You have to teach yourself what employers are looking for and then you take the bull by the horns and start solving problems wherever you are. If you keep doing that you are sure to be noticed by the right people eventually. I'll repeat it again, employers don't care about certificates nowadays.
