Politics › Re: Edo: What Caused The Peaceful Outcome Of The Election & Federal Might Absence? by babadee1(m): 8:06pm On Sep 20, 2020 |
Sleevia: From all indications, Obaseki has won this election but two things stood out unexpectedly
1. It was generally peaceful
2. There was zero federal might influence.
What do you think is the reason behind this?
I would hazard a guess and I am open to correction.
A: The U.S visa ban restricted federal influence, which Oshiomole, Ganduje and Tinubu were banking on. I was on twitter when I read that order has been given that there should be no interference in the election. This was why, after votes at the PU were done, all security agents, from Army to Police and others LEFT.
B. The Oba of Benin meeting. Before the election, Oba invited both contestants for a meeting where he specifically warned against violence in whatever form. I often read from outsiders that Oba of Benin is just like any oba out there but what majority do not know is the weight the Oba of Benin carries among his people and this election further proved that.
Since the APC took power, this is the most peaceful election we have had...
The question is WHY?
Please join the discussion and I would like to learn from other persons and correct me where you feel I am wrong. Buhari promised Obaseki a free and fair election when they met in Aso Rock. Buhari delivered on that promise. Kudos to him. Congrats to Obaseki. |

Romance › Re: Help!! I Have Been Masturbating For 9 Years Now by babadee1(m): 1:32pm On Sep 16, 2020 |
Blackurglyboi: Please don't laugh at my English and I'm not a good writer.
Now I have come to realization that truely masturbation is the greatest addiction ever. I wouldn't like to disclose my name cause of some reasons, I would like to keep my identity safe.
It all started far back In 2011 when I was in my jss3, I have been a pretty good boy who loves making friends, I was jovial. I interact with everyone around me and everybody loves my company.
I have lot of girls as my friends .. One faithful Saturday morning I was having a stroll and I came across a pornography film pack and it has nudes content. It was lying by the road side, I'd picked it up and had a lot at it ..
My fellow nairalanders, that was how my journey started.
I started having the urge for sex. I felt so good giving myself self pleasure, I started masturbating once or twice a week, soon I started getting addicted, anytime I feel alone, the urge comes up and I must attend to it no matter where I am.
I started downloading phonography pictures on my phone. Fast forward to the time I finished my secondary school. It come to my observation I started pulling away from my female friends and I started keeping all to myself. I got some worst to the extent I can't talk to a woman. I started losing my friends. I only had mouth on social media .
Fast forward till today, masturbation have ruined my life totally now I have been so addicted that I get it done twice a day, sometimes I feel hurt and guilty, sometimes I asked myself i I would ever get married or if I can ever love a woman. I feel so embarrassed and ashamed of myself. I do promise my self that I'm gonna leave it but the highest I could go was a week. I don't even have that urge of hitting a woman, in my area as low as 500 you can have sex with a LovePeddler, but even though it is cheap to that extent i Would rather satisfy my self.
Till this day I have been masturbating for 9 years and it's really tearing my life apart. Now I keep all to myself .. The only two things you could find on my phone browser is narialand and different ponographic sites ...
It hurts me so much, sometimes my friends ask when would I have a girlfriend but I would reply (oboy leave that thing make we make money first woman go come ) but deep down I feel sorry for myself ...
For those who say masturbation isn't a sin, dear friends masturbation I'd a deep sin and when you're addicted to it is very difficult to overcome it .
Please I need your advice, a problem shared is a problem solved. Give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one who died on the cross for you to take this very problem away from you. Only Jesus can do it and nobody else. Turn to Him today. God bless you. |

SUFFERInSMILIIN: Go to Uganda and Rwanda where they are just killing Nigerians. Look at China and Cyprus in Cyprus in the last two years 150 Nigerians have been killed. It is not the problem with the government it is the problem with her people. Nigeria will go abroad as a criminal then he starts opening his mouth. let me tell you a story which happened in Turkey at the beginning of this year there was a Nigerian fraudster and his his two sister which one twins. This Boy's mother started fighting people there in the country when she knows her son is a fraudster. today the son is executed including his two sisters. Illiteracy is the height of our problem I don't know what you are talking about. All Nigerians are not the same. There are over 10 million Nigerians living in other countries around the entire world. Many are doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, professors, business people, even politicians. Look at any sphere of life in the US, the UK, Canada and across Europe, Nigerians are excelling at everything we do. The idea that the crimes of a few people can be used to describe a country of 200 million people is ignorance and discrimination. We Nigerians we will no longer tolerate this negative framing. Describe us with the successes of the majority of our people, stop describing us with the failures of a few. Enough is enough! |

Every time I'm walking with her people looks at us as if we came from another planets. All my close relations and friends I told about her discouraged me from getting married to her. Everybody is against me, they told me how can I introduce albinism to my lineage.
I understand that she has a very poor visual acuity, she is prone to skin cancer, she will depend on me to get some certain task done especially under sun.
She is a very good girl, what I'm looking at is what is inside her I mean her personality even though she is obese, she gives me peace of mind.
Finally she is also a petrochemical engineer, and very brilliant person though her albinism has been disadvantageous to her from getting a better job. I just proposed to her against all odds even though I'm all alone.
Should I go on to marry her? Please I need advice from people with mature minds. The only person who can answer this question is you. Search within yourself for the answer and follow your heart. Good luck and God bless. |

I was in computer village, ikeja Lagos state to fix my phone's screen that broke. It was on a Thursday and all shops were meant to be closed due to lockdown restrictions. Just like you know, some of them will surely still be by the roadside to hustle for customers. I was there explaining to the technician that want to fix my phone, when a car pulled over and the driver stretched out his hand and handed over his phone, (an iPhone for that matter) to the same guy to help add screen protector and a silicone case. He paid right there and told the guy he is in a hurry to pick up someone at the airport that he would collect it when he his returning. He dropped his contact card and didn't even bother to collect the guys contact before he drove off.
Everyone was surprised including the guy, because he has never met the man before and there was no traceable location because everywhere was locked.
I think it's better you thank your star that you met a good Zimbabwean. Just like I use to pray to always encounter good Nigerians
Bad people are everywhere likewise good people. So basically you don't know whether the guy got his iPhone back or not. |

ChildofFavor: Please house, I need you advice. Currently, I am a duty/maintenance manager in a hotel and I earn about 100k monthly, the job is stressful as I only spend a night in my house every week, most times I sleep in the hotel because I work night. I am not complaining about the stress for now, because I am not married.
I feel that I may get a job as a graduate in a State Internal Revenue agency. But I want to seek advice from people who may have worked there before. Do they pay well? As a graduate, will I earn up to 100k? If its less than 100k, would you advise me to go for it?
Summarily, Hoetl Manager and State Internal Revenue Staff, which one should I go for? The hotel can sack you at any time. Government job may pay less but you're not likely to be sacked and when you retire you're entitled to gratuity and pension. It will also give you more time to do other side hustles. It's a no brainier. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Can God Blame Me For Not Telling A Church Member What God Told Me As A Pastor? by babadee1(m): 11:14am On Aug 16, 2020 |
Beosten: Let me start from here: I have what it takes to be a pastor and I had numerous visions that confirmed my calling. But I have a disability, and I refused to go into pastoral ministry since 2005. I came into the full-time ministry a few months ago. I came into the ministry because it seemed God was the one punishing me for refusing to do the needful.
Then a church member came to me for blessing saying that her child already procured visa to travel out. That was before covid19 break. I prayed for the child. But God revealed to me in a vision at night that the child should not leave Nigeria, and that it will end in tears. I didn't tell them anything about the vision and the child left Nigeria.
The child has just been deported and a lot of money down the drain.
How should a pastor handle this kind of thing without offending those looking for counseling? I will pray for forgiveness, but can God hold me accountable for this error? If you are sure that God truly revealed something to you then the next thing you are supposed to do is to ask God what to do with the revelation. It's not everything that God reveals that he expects you to share. Sometimes he just wants you to pray about it that's all. Visions and revelations are divine communication and communication is all about relationship. Focus on building your personal relationship with God and don't worry too much about revelations. |
Romance › Re: Do I Tell My American Patient He's Being Scammed By A Nigerian Romance Scammer? by babadee1(m): 10:40pm On Aug 13, 2020 |
ALEX182: So I have this American patient who I recently came across. He's a fat dude who is like in his late 40s but has a very jolly and likeable character. I introduced myself and we got talking afterwards.
After a while of chitchat, he asked me where I was from. I told him to take a guess and he said said, you sound like you're Nigerian. I told him (regrettably) that I was Nigerian. He started smiling and told me that he had a Nigerian girlfriend and that we both had similar accents.
He then started telling me recent occurrences that had befallen his girlfriend in Nigeria. He said the lastest story was that she was in Abuja and as she was on her way to the airport in a taxi, the taxi had an accident and she was seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. He said that the hospital demanded money before treatment started and he had to hustle about $4000 and send to her in order for treatment to start.
He said that after a week of her being in the hospital, they wanted to discharge her despite her still being in pain. Because she had exhausted all the $4000 on treatment, he said the hospital had threatened to discharge her on the streets and he was trying to borrow more money to see if he could send it to her so they could continue with her treatments.
He furthermore told me that the girlfriend said that she was a Nigerian American citizen who was currently stuck in Nigeria due to her passport having expired and also due to Covid lockdown at airports in Nigeria. He said she had asked him for $300 to renew her US passport from American embassy in Nigeria.
Another thing that he told me was that just before covid struck, there was a similar pandemic which happened in Nigeria early this year and that his girlfriend had contracted the disease and he had to send her $2000 for treatment. Right now he said he's broke but is waiting for like $2000 disability check from the US government next week which he will send to her as soon as the money clears.
As he was telling me this tale, I was so angry with Nigerians and how they take advantage of people in love to scam them. I wanted to swear for the scammers
I'm at a dilemma here. Do I tell him that he's being scammed by Nigerians or do I continue to be professional and just ignore it. Because I don't want him to think I'm involved with it because these oyinbo people can turn everything on your head and accuse you that is your people in conjunction with you that are scamming him. They are that crazy. The good part of me wants to help him but I'm hesitant that it may turn out bad for me. Please matured responses. You don't have to say much, just simply tell him never to send money to his Nigerian girlfriend no matter what. He will understand. By the way, he will find out eventually anyway. But if you tell him then he'll know that not all of us Nigerians are dishonest. |

Romance › Re: My Boyfriend Wants Me To Be A Baby Mama. Says He's Scared Of Marriage. by babadee1(m): 7:07am On Jun 11, 2020 |
Confusedgirl869: Hello everyone. This account is created for this .
This issue has been bothering me a lot and I am very confused on what to do.
We have been together for more than 2 years now and we hardly have issues, infact we are a perfect match or so I thought.
I am 26 while he is 35, we both working and I never disturb him for money, I take care of all my needs myself. He is very calm and peaceful, doesn't hit me and I really admire him a lot. I on the other hand is also good, hardworking, not materialistic and all that makes a good woman.
So after thinking of our relationship thoroughly some weeks ago, I realised that there is really nothing stopping us from getting married this year or next. I decided to hear what he has to say because he never talked about us being or getting married. I also noticed that whenever he sees or hears about bad marriages he felt lucky he is not in yet. This always makes me feel bad because I know myself. I also wasn't a fan of marriage before I met him because of so many bad men out there, but everything changed when I met my guy, he is what I want. The very first day we met, the first thought that came to my mind was 'this is my him' I don't know why I had that thought being our first time meeting.
Anyways, few weeks ago I decided to ask him what his plans are. Are we in on a long thing or not? I got the shock of my life when he made me understand that he doesn't want to be tied forever, he loves his space and the way nobody disturbs him. That he only wants a baby mama, he wants me to be the mother his kids but not in marriage. I was mad and I cried for days. He was even sounding like nothing is wrong with being a baby mama, maybe not but I just can't.
Well, I made him understand that I can't be a baby mama and it will also be hard for me to move on with another person. I've bonded so well with him and all that. And I also hate jumping from one man to another. I told him to talk to people who are in successful marriages and stop looking at the bad ones. Today when we were talking I asked him about it and he is still maintaining his stand on the mama.
I don't want to give birth to kids that have 2 homes, I grew up like that(it took me lots of self discipline not to become useless) and wouldn't want that kind of life for my kids, I want them to grow with their parents in ONE house. At the same time, I don't want to lose my good man and relationship.
I need your opinions please. It's simple my dear. If you cannot change his mind then you need to move on. You're young enough to find plenty of potential suitors. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Aggressive, Violent, Cool, Calm, Which Is The Best Way To Pray As A Christian? by babadee1(m): 3:03pm On May 17, 2020 |
KingBaba1: The scripture says the fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much, and this will want me to know the best way to pray according to the Bible and Christian belief.
1. We all know we are different type of human being and our approach to things differ alot. We have the cool and calm beings, and also the stubborn and aggressive ones.
I see how pastor Adeboye preaches the gospel and pray in a cool and calm way and there are signs, wonders and testimony to that effect... I also know some agressive preachers and prayer warriors like pastor Paul Adefarasin, N. duncan Williams and TD jakes.
Now, here is why i am writing this write up.
1. I sometimes feel i am too cool and calm in my prayers hence the delay or no answer i have in my prayer requests to the most high.
2. I believe in strategic form of prayer and i also do fast and pray when seeking the face of the lord on something... I don't usually think i am too cool or calm in prayers not until i started waiting endlessly for results. If i am in a religious gathering, it depends on the leader of the prayer points and the prayer point itself that will determine my ginger and how aggressive i can be, but i don't see it going too hot or too cool.
3.what could be the delay of prayer request of somones need I feel satisfied inside of me when i pray in my own way and style. I don't really have privacy at the moment, and i am someone who really doesn't like people hearing my prayer point if it isn't in a religious gathering and general prayer.
I was born into Christianity and i served the lord in a church unit, but I will like to ask maybe there are ways i need to start praying that i don't know or practice for effective answers from the lord.
N. B. I know jehova witnesses don't pray loud or aggressive prayer, and i also know some other religious organization that doesn't do aggressive praying too.
So which one is which and how do one pray effective prayer with fasting without being aggressive Your views and opinion will really help, and i will be more than delighted if u can do that with scripture references.
Thanks As the Spirit leads. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. |
Romance › Re: I Have A Serious Problem Concerning My Relationship With Women. by babadee1(m): 7:07pm On May 15, 2020 |
Monfeels: I want to share my problem with you guys in the hopes that maybe I'll get some good advice or at least some insight into my problem.
When people first meet me their impression of me is that I'm good looking, cool and intelligent. Most girls usually assume that I have a girlfriend or a legion of side chicks that I Bleep whenever I want to.
The truth about me is that I've never been in a proper relationship with another woman before. All I've had is sexual partners that I stop talking to after I have sex with them, and girls I get intimate with just to control them and get them to fulfil my desire of having a female to own, please me and do my biding, and then I get bored of them and cease contact and move on like I never knew them.
The reason for this behavior is that I don't possess the emotional resources needed to engage in a healthy relationship with another human being. I have no empathy and I usually feel no guilt or remorse for my actions. It's impossible for me to care genuinely for another person. I don't feel people's pain or suffering and I'm not moved by the death of family members or friends. I simply do not care for any other person but myself. I've been this way for a very long time. I lack the ability to maintain relationships with people hence why I lose friends often. Relationships are usually a means to an end for me and when that end is met, I become irritated by the person I've gotten close to.
Despite the fact that I don't see the point in relationships, I still find that I get jealous of couples in healthy relationships. It's not like I want to experience what they experience, just that I am envious of the fact that they are participating in something I can't participate in.
When I find a girl that I want to get close to, I'm usually consumed with jealousy over her previous relationships, and over any current relationship she has with any member of the opposite sex, even if it's merely platonic. All I want is for her to devote all her time to me and shower me with attention and love. The problem with all this is that I don't want to reciprocate this behavior. In fact the idea of devoting attention to, and showering affection on someone else irritates me. It's all pointless, but I enjoy when it's done to me.
Another weird side to all this is that I don't just want to control the girl, I also enjoy making her feel bad, but in a way that makes her crave for me more. I enjoy poking holes in herself esteem, making her second guess the presumably good qualities she thought she possesed, making her not feel wanted by me, and making her do more to please me.
I don't love women, I only become obsessed with them. Obsessed to the point that I'm constantly tortured by thoughts of them being sexual with another guy especially when it's someone she has dated before. I want her all to myself and even if she had sex with someone before I met her or before we became close, I am filled with anger and jealousy whenever the thought crosses my mind, and I want to punish her for that. It's like I want to erase her past and replace it with me. I want to be all she's ever had. I don't want anyone else in her life and I don't want anyone else in her past.
All this must sound crazy to you guys but this is my reality and it's eating me up. I need advice. Repent of your sins and give your life to Christ. Then none of this will be a problem for you ever again. |
