The constitution allows for the impeachment, removal and replacement of the senate president and the speaker of the house. In fact it has happened several times already in the history of our brief democracy. It is part of the rule of law and there is nothing wrong with it as long as the required numbers are met.

That was not the question I asked o. I asked about global best practices. What obtains in other democracies across the world. I did not say anything about the constitution. I know fully well that this is not a constitutional matter but a political one.

That information is wrong. Buhari got almost 800,000 votes from Lagos alone out of over 1.4 million votes cast in Lagos, not counting the other SW states.

Obviously, Ambode broke the law and the fact that a sitting governor and the chief law enforcement officer of the state not only broke the law but did so on live TV was disheartening.

Ambode's action revealed a major character flaw, diminished temperament and lack of mental fitness.

Also it's unlikely the person who leaked the information was a doctor so the Hippocratic oath was not breached either.
