Business › Re: Fire Outbreak At Balogun Market In Lagos State (Photos, Video) by Bacteriologist(m): 12:39pm On Nov 05, 2019 |
TGM2015: Somehow, everything is not about politics. Lagos State still has the best equipped fire Service stations controlled by Federal government, state government and private establishments like banks (Union Bank and First Bank). One of the the most interesting things about fire service in Lagos state is that all these fire stations collaborate together to fight fire in Lagos State. I mean, any fire station can call any of the fire stations for back up or attend to nearby fire incident. Fire fighters are not spirits that can know when and where a fire has started and appears same second. First, they need to be informed and they need to have free flow of traffic to get there on time. And on fire level, 5 to 10 minutes is enough for a fire (depending on the cause) to burn down buildings. For Balogun Market, the closest stations are Marina/CMS fire stations and Ojuelegba Fire Station. I bet you that the Marina stations, which is closer will take around 10 minutes to get to the point of fire outbreak only if the market people are highly cooperative when we consider traffic. To clear road for cars to navigate within Balogun market takes minutes, in fact, Lagos state drivers do not care about the giving way to ambulance and fire trucks. As it is, we do not how long it takes the market people to reach out to the fire services.
Anyway, contrary to your thought, the fire service people are already on ground. Check the attached pictures for their response, follow them and save their contact for any future emergencies. Thank you. Great response. Bless your heart for taking your time to clear the air on the issue. May God or whatever you serve bless you. |

Welcome to Nigeria. The only country where petty theives are beaten to pulp and looters of the future of the masses (in public funds) are hailed, defended, decorated and even appreciated.
The only country where a person who steals to obtain unnecessary luxury is exonerated far above someone who is likely stealing to quench his hunger one time.
If I speak further I would be expecting too much from a country where the average person had a IQ less than 75. Savage ignorants.

It's rather funny that by now, first page is still open for comment.
That aside, there are technologies for capturing this CO2 emitted from source points.
They are called Carbon Capture and Storage technologies.
I am currently carrying out research in this area.
There is hope but unfortunately even the law makers who should push for this technology and make funding available for this research are not even aware of its existence. Which is honestly why I think Nigeria may never ne great again. People prefer to go to church to pray for long life than take actual steps to better their own lives. You can know the future of a people by their habits now. Important things do not interest most nigerians.

And that is why a lot of countries that know what they're doing are moving back to more greener forms of transport. Like more public transport, electric cars and CYCLING.
In a bid to promote the lifespan of their citizens and fight climate change, countries are incentivising cyclists by providing infrastructure and an enabling environment (laws) for them.
Of course, it can only happen in a society where LIFE is actually valued. Which is the exact opposite of what Nigeria is.
Also, cycling reduces congestion. Which is a major problem in a city like lagos. So when next you see a cyclist, please appreciate us. Because that's one less traffic-causing, noise making, parking space taking, air polluting car in front of you.

You must be joking. Your request is a perfect representation of how religion breeds mentally lazy and irresponsible adults who are unable to face their problems head-on but would rather "pray" instead.

Blainz: It's not about standard
It's clear for everyone to see that Trump is in panic mode...using this to arouse sentiment....he is about to be impeached I think I might have to disagree with the first part of your comment. It is about standard. Think about it if buhari was to defeat boko haram tomorrow how many Nigerians would still hate him? We are easy to govern in Nigeria because what we expect from our leaders isn't much to write home about. The standards are low here. Look how strongly the greenback has performed since trump got into government, coupled with this and it's still not enough for trump to have enough approval. |

henryobinna: I don't think it's about standard. If you've been following their politics.
The booing is all political and not about standards. Afterall he has trashed Obama and all his evild deeds yet many still find it hard to acknowledge his good deeds. Some of them from the othet side can't stand him, some wish him death. It's not a thing of standard I have been following their politics fairly. What I think is that trump policies have widened the gap between the rich and the poor so it's causing a lot of troubles as well as the immigration rules(kids at the border, the wall etc) that he's introduced. So while it is normal for the democrats to play opposition politics the negative remarks from the crowd at the game wasn't at all politically motivated. |

Even after this laudable feat, the president Trump was still cheered at and booed at during a football game on Sunday. The standards are so high in these countries that failure is not at all tolerated.
In Nigeria we have leaders that continuously shït now faces and we do nothing about them. Some of us even defend them.

We are in 2019 and our attention is already on who will wear the crown in 2023 Instead of discussing issues and ideas that could take Nigeria forward and you think Nigeria will be better than this with these kind of people we have as elders. Ekpa!!! I was looking for a comment like this. Only in a unserious country like Nigeria where failed leaders are recycled like plastic and metals. Tinubu of all people?? Atiku and Buhari are worse but Tinubu is totally worst. A complete disaster. What's wrong with electing minds that are in touch with modern reality into government? The state of the nation has retrogressed under the watch of these men we love to see in government yet we aren't fed up. Nigerians are the easiest people to govern in this world. They simply don't ask questions or think. I'm appalled to share the same national space with a lot of folks in this country. It's threads like these that make me even more certain that Nigeria may never be great. |

dokie: A foolish adult can be the most annoying thing one gets to see in life. The Bible says, and i absolutely believe that statement, that it takes an extreme level of foolishness to say there is no God. Thankfully though, very few people in the world fall into that category.
Interpret it how you want. Yeah lol.. like a book written by goat herders in the 15th century when no one knew where the sun went at night and everyone thought the earth was flat has any clue what it is on about. You are projecting when you call people who don't take a book that features talking snakes and talking donkeys seriously. As it takes a phenomenal level of emotional stupidity and deliberate ignorance to believe that animals could produce human speech. So maybe take your own advice and stfu.

dokie: Most senseless statement.
Look man, you can chose to remain foolish and arrogant enough to be an atheist, just don't bother those who are humble enough to have faith in God.
We believe in God, bowing to him, and trusting in him for our overall well being. You on the other hand, due to pride and arrogance, have chosen to believe solely in yourself, and thereby made yourself your own God. Its your choice.
When we die, we will all know whose been right or wrong. e no go too tay before e go happen. Faith is a sign of stupidity, ignorance and arrogance. Not at all a sign of humility.
