dabrake: therefore those who studied maths/statistics/computer science/engineering/pharmacy/medicine in india should also have their certificate rejected. Right?
What makes India special? Isnt't India another third world country where crappy English is spoken? I've worked with Indians and I know how terrible their English could be. So, India isn't exempted!

HQ: The Irony of "Studying Abroad" and going to a Lesser Quality School.

A lot of parents send their wards Abroad, just for the "STATUS". Some private universities in Nigeria are a lot better.
Gbam!

Funny enough, most of these Nigerian students are not proficient in English. Yet, they're studying in another country whose natives are not proficient too.
What do you think will happen when Nigerian pidgin encounters Ukrainian pidgin?
TravelRe: Nigerian Ambassador To Ukraine Warns Nigerians Not To Study In Ukraine by Basic(m): 8:16am On Oct 16, 2012
And in addition, I've observed that many medical school drop outs in Nigeria run to Ukraine to "study" the Medicine they failed to cope with here in Nigeria.
In the past, when we heard about Nigerians studying abroad, we heard countries like US, UK, and Canada. Now we have Nigerians studying in Sudan, Ukraine, Kenya, name it. And they'll all come back to brag, "I studied abroad!". Well, they actually did (going by the definition of the word "abroad"). Even if you studied in Benin Republic, Cameroun, or Niger republic, you've studied "abroad".

Certificates and licences from non-English and third world countries should be rejected! *My opinion*

Premise 2: The IGP is a Nigerian policeman

Conclusion: The IGP is useless!

If those parents did this philosophical calculation, they would've directed their request elsewhere.

The IGP, my foot!
Clarification #1 is not really true.

You dont see many non-muslims insisting radical muslims arent practicing Islam because they ( non-muslims) are aware of fundamentalism in the religion.

So, its rather a moot point and misleading to insist because of sentiment, one should assume one cant be harmed by a person who practises the militant form of their religion.

Human nature is what it is.

You cant really vouch for others-you can only vouch for yourself and even then, its others prerogative if they want to take your words at face value.
It's like you didn't understand my point. Read again please. All you stated are nowhere to be found in the piece.

Besides, where in the piece was Samsung quoted to have to talked about the iPhone? The piece is just a reviewer's writing, not an official statement from Samsung.

HealthRe: HELP!! My Girlfriend Has An Unwanted Pregnancy by Basic(m): 6:23am On Oct 11, 2012
Even if you're 200% sure that you didn't ej.acu.late in her, it's most likely true that you got her pregnant.
Before the ejaculatory spurt comes, unknown to many, a fluid (the seminal fluid), which contains some sp.erm cells, drools out of the pen*s. Interestingly, unlike in ejaculation, this fluid flows out slowly. So, most times, you're not aware of it. It's most likely that sper.m cells in that fluid got your girlfriend pregnant.
Moreso, the withdrawal method is the second most unreliable method of birth control. Why? Because it has failed several times due to the explanation above.
So, brotherman, now is not the time to nurse doubts about a lady whose fidelity you never doubted before.
Face reality! The lady knows the father of the unborn child.
And remember, abortion, when it's uncalled for, is murder. Just as you've been allowed to live, let the baby live.
Now you remember that you have a reputation to protect, eh? When you were pounding, where was that thought?
Accept full responsibility, see the girl's parents and marry her legally.
If the lady dies during your attempt to abort the pregnancy, the best that can happen to you is to rot in jail (if not land in your grave). I hope you know. And if that ends your story, your reputation will be permanently destroyed, and you'll forever regret not having left the baby to live in the first place.
Brotherman, just my 2kobo.

It's illogical to spew insults when your opinions are needed. If you're short of reasonable comments or opinions, it suffices that you go over to the next thread (there are thousands of them on NL).

Beync: OP if you muslims are sincere, why haven't you guys match thru the streets in the north and everywhere denouncing this fraction of muslims called bokoharam if you have nothing to do with them? haven't they shed enough bloods that you muslims should protest against? but you would not hesitate to protest, burn houses and kill innocent people just becos an american made 5munites caricature video of mohammed. actions speaks louder than noise u know? spare us with those bla bla bla and send massages on friday to ur members warning them to desist from plotting evil against non muslims.
it seem u are all the same from the way you are defending previous violence carried out by muslims, that there must have been reasons for their actions. what a lame attempt to defend terror. try harder.
Islam doesn't allow that you risk your lives. These radicals have killed any Muslim that objects to their strange unIslamic ideologies. If you were in our shoes, would you join such a march?
Christianity EtcRe: An Open Letter To Nigerian Christians by Basic(op): 3:00am On Oct 09, 2012
alexis: @Basic

I want to thank you for the effort you made to reach out and clarify some things about Islam especially regarding violence. I respect your effort and I wish Muslim leaders could do the same. To save space and time, I will like you and our Muslims friends on NL to teach us and enlighten us about what the Quran says about violence/justification of killing toward non-muslims. It is only fair that you will allow us to research this using the Quran. I also ask that you allow us (non-muslims) to quote from the Quran for clarification and explanation. So, please teach us about what the Quran says regarding violence.
Violence, especially when it's uncalled for (e.g. in situations of self defence) is totally forbidden by Islam. Did you read the second Quranic verse I quoted in the piece? I'll be back with more evidence.
Christianity EtcRe: An Open Letter To Nigerian Christians by Basic(op): 2:57am On Oct 09, 2012
k9ine: I see this write up suffers from misdirection.

Interestingly, when these supposed muslims suffer retaliation, or government forces use maximum force against these TERRORISTS, the muslims are the first to cry out that their religious brethren are denied their fundamental rights or that government should negotiate with them.

Are you more Islamic than the moslems in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Pakistan, e.t.c.

In as much you folks say Islam is a religion of peace, your actions (globally) speak otherwise when you celebrate the killings of non-muslims, and fail to call your sons to order.
May the Good God bring peace to our land. Amen.
Now get these:
There's no misdirection here. The piece is meant to change your impression about Islamic teachings.

Of course you know the first set of terrorists in the country to be negotiated with by the FG are not Muslims. You remember the amnesty programme?

Not every country in the middle East is "Islamic". Get that right. We know too, that some people over there who calim to be Muslims have done and are doing many things alien to the religion.

Of course every religion has adherents that practice what is different from what the religion preaches. That's one fact even Christians cannot deny about their religion.
