But pray tell, how many men will be willing to do house chores on a rotational basis with their wives huh undecided
I for one see no problem with that and I don't think I am in the minority. Any reasonable man will agree to share the domestic workload.

You took a woman under your roof . . . you took her away from her family . . . you changed her name to yours . . . you planted your seeds inside her!

errrm . . .  I think you made her your responsibility.  undecided

Your responsibility should be, not only to the children, but to the woman who bore them. Except of course she's only a means to an end for you!  undecided
Surely the mentioned acts are the workings of the primitive man, no? I mean he must have woken up one morning slapped himself in the butt and said, "I will take a woman without any will or choice of her own from her family, bring her under my roof and plant my seed inside her." Sounds like the attack of the cave man.  grin grin grin

dayokanu:
Now tell me if a woman thinks this way why should equal amount be spent on the education of a male and a female child when one thinks all she can do is to leech on the other?

Why not educate her on how to be a better leech?

Whats the use of getting an education when all life ambition still revolves round milking another human being who has the same intellect and education as you?
Good question.

What is this talk of maintaining a "manly front"? Don't such  lines of thought encourage the woman to be "subservient" (something that many women rebel against) to the man?

african woman has been working for doggone years. so men on this thread, don't say it like na today the thing start, abeg!!

i hate to think that they want a woman who will help them to pay bills and take care of their mortgages tongue. a lady's money should be for taking care of herself and help  tongue sometimes. not to help you take care of your responsibilities  tongue
Its amazing that some women don't find that line of reasoning selfish or materialistic.

Family values are being destroyed in many ways. From within and without  sad

Let the cry of double standards be put to rest when men have it their way then. grin

But seriously balance should be sought for in this area as in all things. It is selfish to think that one party deserves to be taken care of by the other. Nuff said

Follow carefully the instructions from Horus in the link I pasted earlier. It is easy to overlook some of the syntax there.

In an another Ohakim advert (ThisDay Newspaper, Wednesday, April 20, Page 36, Vol 16) some of the pictures appear to be either photoshopped or are computer models of planned roads. The advert also includes images of the new governor's office and the governor's lodge in Abuja - is that what the people really need? I say this because I think it is laughable that somebody thinks that the citizens of Imo will count such things as giant strides.

BTW yours truly is not from Imo State but finds Ohakims campaign to be rather hypocritical.

Off course one can expect those who don't have all the facts or don't want to perform any civic duties to join this bandwagon and call for the scrapping of the NYSC program.

Truth is there is no kind of sane special relationship that will lead to the kind of behavior we are reading about here. What is unnatural is unnatural.

Something can still be done about this, call the mommy boy to order.

Gaming › Games You Want To Play This Year (2011) by Bawss1(op): 10:31am On Apr 20, 2011
Please share details about any game on any platform that you want to play this year here.

Lemme get this thread started with just one entry: Asura's Wrath.

Its an action game full with far eastern mythology, kind of like an Asian god of war, I think. Its still in development by CyberConnect2, the same people behind the Naruto games. I think it will be available on both the PS3 and X360 consoles. I have been enthralled by the trailers released so far and I'm eagerly awaiting the game's final release - even though no date has been given yet. sad

You can say that again. It is rare to come across threads where games are discussed at length here. But then maybe this is just a reflection of the gamers on this forum or the state of the game industry at the moment. I am mostly a PS3 gamer and for sometime now I haven't come across any (great) new game releases, at least for this year.

Playing FPS on pad is wrong though. There's a mission in Modern Warfare 2 where you need to take down but not kill some favella dude in brazil. You have to shoot his legs. How do you do that with a controller/pad?
I don't understand, isn't it possible to aim for the guy's leg with your pad? Isn't that a shot like any other?

Funny, but some mothers actually raise their sons to be mommy's boy na. cheesy You can see it with the way they smother the son with attention and deny him the chance to take his own shots in life. smiley
