jabbok: Guy, do not underestimate state powers, FG can nationalize any company if they really want to. We are talking about national security here. Forget say Naija na sleeping giant. Where in the world has a private foreign company been nationalized by any government on grounds of national security? If anything I think we shouldn't underestimate the powers of (rich) corporate organizations in influencing government decisions. |

jabbok: I don't know what the writer means by "Judge threatens". However, I think the SA judge might be sarcastically giving Nigeria FG a dose of their own medicine. You remember that FG threatened to nationalize MTN over Okah's case. So I think it is a case of threaten me, I threaten you too. Off topic but still I keep wondering where this ''threatened to nationalize MTN theory'' came from. How is this remotely possible? Nationalize a a private company?! Where has this been done before? How come if such an absurdity is feasible they never threatened to nationalize Shell or Chevron ? It is amazing; the human penchant for exaggeration. |

Before everyone waxes lyrical on how wise and foresighted the mother was recall that the said girlfriend came to visit (albeit for a few days) its not like they were a live-in couple. The manner in which the mother chose to "correct" the situation was far from the best. None of the parties involved are infants, a talk about the whole thing would have been better.
By the way I think people should reread the original post again so they can get the story straight. |

Haha you want to underhype Black Ops? Well the game seems pretty hyped if you ask me and rightly so considering its being released under the bestselling COD IP. But I still think the genre (and this particular IP) is over crowded.
Why don't you like FPS? |

oyb: can beaf please try to articulate our federal govs exact position on this saga
was october 1 carried out by ibb and dokpesi using rougue mend elements
or
was it executed by Okah who according to asari dokubo inteneded to assasiante gej (and gave 5 days warning of this? ) I think GEJ is completely clueless about who carried out the bombings and the way he has handled it so far is a PR disaster. His supporters find this realization very difficult so they wont admit it. |

Politics › Re: Jonathan's New Explanation Of Abuja Bomb Blast, Worst Than The First by Bawss1(m): 3:41pm On Oct 13, 2010 |
Onlytruth:

You see my point?
Most of the GEJ supporters have absolutely no clue what he should be doing. I bet you that most of these guys just want a president from Niger delta even if a lame duck one. That is my problem with Jonathan and his supporters.
They are yet to prove to me that he is worth sacrificing for. I wouldn't support him to just sit there and waste four yours, and then hand back to the north. You must demonstrate (not through hope and baseless optimism, but through actionable facts) that he is better than other candidates who can at least provide security to ALL parts of Nigeria.
By excusing Jonathan for his inaction in bringing bombing suspects in the Niger delta bombing cases to justice, they are indirectly saying that life is cheaper in Niger delta than in Abuja.
He did nothing when folks died in Niger delta through bombings, now he wakes up from his long sleep! For you to become a top runner, you must not be a cripple in the first place! That is my point.
Anyway, lets see how things unfold. I wouldn't cooperate with him if I were an Abuja person (indigene or resident), after all he should get the delta bombers first.
By the way, can you process the fact that we have many candidates in the race, and that we should at least examine each candidate closely? Why do you assume I am an IBB supporter? As at today, I probably support Ribadu (for his guts!). A leader must have guts. I might even support another candidate tomorrow depending on how things unfold. Well said. |
