What would be your own suggestion to the authorities regarding how to arrest the situation at hand? I'm tired of you people continuing to carry on as if we are still in the elections period. Let us do our best to support the President instead of carrying on with useless diatribes.

GEJ will be in office untill 2015 unless he is legally removed or done in 'providence'. Constructive criticisms are legitimate support BTW.
Apparently GEJ apologists don't understand that.

Evil Brain:
Don't get me wrong, I don't regret jailbreaking, I'm just annoyed that its taking so long for newer hacks to come out. And you're wrong about the games being old. Only games released in the past 2-3 months are unplayable on JBed systems. Pretty much everything up to LA Noir is playable and that includes the vast majority of the PS3 library.

Your argument is invalid.
Hey I'm not against jailbreaking. In fact the moment a hack is available that still allows me to play new games then I'm having it. But I've spent a great part of the year waiting for the release of the likes of MW3 and will not jeopardize my chance of playing it by installing a CF. Anyway you probably have to hook me up with your library of games, if the list is impressive I will reconsider my position ASAP  cool - I'm yet to see any collection that makes me want a CF.

maclatunji:
Put her on the phone with her siblings and let them thrash it out. After that fulfill your mother's wish. Selecting a place of burial is personal and should be respected by all. There is no dilemma here. Let your mother's siblings know that you love and respect them but your mum's dying wish takes precedence.

Sorry that you have to go through this, may God grant you additional strength.
You forget that the woman is presently in a hospice and is in no condition to thrash anything out. Still I agree with you, the woman's wish should take precedence here. The rest of the family should respect that. The OP will be doing the right thing in doing what his mother wants here, we should always strive to make the transition to the afterlife for our loved ones as smooth as possible.

I remember seeing some kind of moi moi mix in the supermarket. I forget the name though but all you have to do (I think) is add some water to it and boil for moi moi. In fact my mom did buy that one time but it turned out to be not as great as the one made the hard way.

Thats why I have since held off on jailbreaking my console; I want to be able to play new games when they are released and not wait for what seems to be an eternity for custom firmware. I think what the jailbreak community is doing is interesting but until they convince me that they are 5 steps ahead of Sony then I'll jump ship. Every time I talk with people selling CF and games all I see is a collection of old games (many are what I refer to as B-rated games anyway) and no possibility of playing new releases. Aren't folks looking forward to the big releases of the year like Uncharted 3, MW3 and BF3, or are they willing to wait for another year till those games are old and able to run on some CF?

Big Bites. This is probably one of the worst fast food restaurants off Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent in Wuse 2 Abuja. It certainly ranks as the worst I have I ever seen this year. The sales girls/guys appear to be the most confused bunch ever - if they are not openly fighting amongst themselves. I have actually witness them fight several times in front of customers! The meals are never consistent, they taste different everyday and I don't mean that in a good way. One always leaves the place feeling bad.
Family › Re: A Family Member Informing Your Spouse Before Visiting by Bawss1(m): 5:36pm On Sep 02, 2011
ne4real:
Good day guys. I am newly married. Few weeks after our wedding, my father called me to say he was coming to spend few days after in our house after which he will proceed on his trip. I actually told my husband, he said it was ok but at least my father should have called him too to inform him as his son in-law and the head of the house and a mark of respect. I called my dad and told him to please call my husband to inform him of his coming, but didnt mention to him my husbands comment. My father got upset and didnt visit again saying why should he take permission from my husband before coming to his daughters house. To me i dont see it as taking permission. Please i need u guys to tell me if i was wrong and if its improper for any member of my family to atleast let my husband know of their visit at least as a mark of respect to him. Thanks.
It appears the father would like to visit the daughter anytime he pleases regardless of whether it is OK for her family. Some fathers can be funny.

What kind of childhood will those pretty little girls have at this rate? Yet some clowns will encourage other clowns to start families on a N30K salary because they say the Almighty will provide for us all.
That is no way to raise children and my ire is directed first of all at the parents who in their foolishness brought children into this world without making provisions for their upkeep. Using your kids to make ends meet - how does that statement sound in the ears of a responsible person?

I also realize that many people consider it the norm to engage children in such a manner. Well that is one aspect of culture IMO(along with the desire of having many children) that needs to be done away with. Laws should be made and enforced that protect children from such situations.

Yesterday it was, can I get married on a N45K salary?
Today, it is now can I get married on a N30K salary?
Tomorrow it will be can I get married on a N20K salary?

Travel › Re: Behold - Nigeria Most Expensive Neighbourhood by Bawss1(m): 8:41am On Sep 02, 2011
For a reputedly expensive real estate location it has crappy access roads. Last time I was there en route to Airtel HQ (many month ago though), I had to transverse a couple of mini rivers a.k.a potholes and that wasn't a nice experience. Plus there are several uncompleted buildings in the area that apparently serve as hideouts for miscreants.

Personally I think the place is just over-hyped. You pay millions of bucks and your neighbor will prolly still be the vulcanizer in the uncompleted house around the corner. People looking for real high end real estate with should try Maitama and Asokoro in Abuja.

@OP,
I guess you don't live in Nigeria. I find it quite strange that a Nigerian man will consent to vasectomy in the first instance. Anyway, since you have both decided to have another child, you can as well save for it and reverse it since adoption is totally out of it.

any way you choose to go about it, i wish you goodluck!

I was amazed to even know something like this even existed and I share the same views as Tim Cushing of Techdirt who says "Instead of spending the day talking about everything that's wrong with the Nigerian music industry, wouldn't it be better to play some songs and invite the artists to talk about their work and what it means to them? This could be a chance to give smaller artists a chance to be heard and grow their fan bases. Maybe musicians connecting with the public would be more productive than artists treating their audiences like selfish children who need a once-a-year time out. "
Music/Radio › Nigeria Celebrates No Music Day Today (sept 1) by Bawss1(op): 3:46pm On Sep 01, 2011
September 1 has been declared by the Nigerian Music Coalition as No Music Day. The idea behind this declaration is to draw attention to the infringement of the rights of artists in Nigeria. More of the story here http://allafrica.com/stories/201109010274.html

COD and BF series are only popular because of their multiplayer modes? How did you come about that conclusion? The multiplayer modes are widely popular but those are not the sole reasons for the success of the franchises. The campaign modes are just as engaging.

Anyway, how does the thread title relate to the issue you raised.  undecided

^Impressive. I have completed all the missions too but not all on veteran. I don’t know how anyone can complete those Echo missions (the juggernaut one you mentioned) on veteran even though I have seen videos of such feats on youtube.

Dunno if you have played the zombie mission on Black Ops. I’m now convinced the computer cheats, its darn impossible to complete it.

You are really making serious effort to rule the world. LOL

You want the Police to mention in detail there investigations and reel out names of the suspects to you so soon and in an interaction with diplomats? LOL

Searching for details like what? I am suspicious you know about the bombings and you are so eager to know about those arrested.

Abeg - we are tired of all of you who use every medium to cast aspersions on Nigeria given every opportunity - una criticsm has gone nowhere, let us rest.
Its been done before, I remember one Dokpesi being mentioned after a bombing in the FCT sometime last year.

Anyway it appears to the government is learning, albeit slowly. Now the know better than to start naming names. One only hopes that the suspected 50 provide some real leads to curbing this bombing menace and not just a knee-jerk PR response.
