IslamRe: Muslims: Are We Bad? by belloti(m): 4:02pm On Sep 05, 2006
Finally, from the foregoing we can conclude that All Muslims are Bad and Evil. Thats fantastic but then whats next?

May be we talk about something else, abi?

Oga Seun, we would very much appreciate it if you can restrict non-muslims from this thread if the title is to be adhered to. There are other threads where these exchanges can be accommodated.

I was tempted to withdraw my line about the infidels because i actually replied in a state on anger but subsequent posts have ruled out that possibility.

Anyway, i dont think we are being smart if we descended to the level of absurdity here. Some stupid guy yanked his mouth so wide and i wrote back in anger. that i think its enough especially if the underlying message is understood.

Lets improve in our conducts here our messages may sound more logical and appealing

Taiwoabzy, Welcome to Islam. I will recommend a book called The Ideal Muslimat, but i really cant remember the author. i bought it in mecca some years ago.

But be careful on what you read too because recently we discovered some infilteration of some fake islamic books by some jews and infidels. May Almighty Allah continue to guide all of us, Amen.
IslamRe: Muslims: Are We Bad? by belloti(m): 11:32am On Sep 01, 2006
I think from what some of us post here we can easily say who is bad or who is good. I dont think its a good thing to start looking out for troubles and i dont think its good for someone to abuse the priviledge offered by the host of this forum to slander other people just because they are muslims irrespective of their personal conducts.

I dont think you can argue with anybody calling you fools because you ve not given him enough evidence to call you a more appropriate name.

i am a northern muslim and i respect the sanctity of human life. Religious belief is a personal thing and i dont care if anyone choose to worship monkeys.

I think we may review some of our messages to avoid someone mistaking us for fools.

To all the Infidels in the house and to antagonists like babyosisi that are desperately trying to portray Islam in bad light, i still don't understand your missions. Anyway, whatever you intend to achieve here is a massive failure. If you are trying to reach the fainthearted and unserious muslims, you don't find them here because they don't care that much to engage people like you but if your target is people like us who are DIE-HARD AND PASSIONATE MUSLIMS, then you are a total failure and you d rather start another thread where we can talk about parties and politics may be we both may share some common grounds. Lets respect each others faith and believe, we are too cool for religious fight here
IslamRe: Muslims: Are We Bad? by belloti(m): 5:14pm On Aug 23, 2006
There was no need for this thread. No one need to judge anyone on the basis of his religion. There are good and bad people everywhere irrespective of the diety they worship. There are good Muslims and good christian just as there are bad ones too.
Christianity EtcRe: Da Vinci Code: A Lesson To Muslims by belloti(m): 6:08pm On Aug 19, 2006
Babyosisi, u think we are only smart Arsses here, we didnt get to graduate schools. thats another let off from you. But we don't go bragging about our bunch of certificates here, we only communicate in an intellectual manner. that speaks louder.

David, my dear Arsenal just got humbled by some little rats called Aston Villa in our mighty emirate. i only pray you are a Bolton fan.

Pres. Musharraf is a well known ally of the west but do u think he does that with the backing of his people. ofcourse no. he infact decide to tow the line in order to douse the move for democracy in Pakistan. But david, have you for once visualise the life of an average Arab living in the middle east?. Can you envy anyone living in gaza, west bank or even in Iraq, pakistan or Afghanistan? They grew up watching hopelessly how the west, especially the US, dabble in their affairs with glaring lopsideness. The US has no business in Iraq or Afghanistan in the first place. The Israel issue should be settled once and for all. We have heard all the excuses by the terrorist and in all cases, they are linked to one or both of the above reasons.

The bottom line here also is that Terrorism is not an Islamic concept rather its an Arab dilenma. And if we carefully understood their motivation we might be on the way to eliminating it. I still want to believe that these Arabs are not getting a fair deal from the west and the sooner we correct the anomaly the better for everyone.
Christianity EtcRe: Da Vinci Code: A Lesson To Muslims by belloti(m): 4:38pm On Aug 19, 2006
David, for the first time i am tempted to agree with you. In whatever way we look at Terrorism, it is a very crazy phenomenon. But instead of pushing it under the carpet, now that its spreading like wild fire, we need to analyze the root causes. It doesnt make sense why anyone will blew himself up just to make a statement.

My believe then was that Terrorism is for people living in a hopeless situation like the palestine, but for Uk born muslims that were given enormous opportunity to excel, it has to be for a different reason altogether. May be there is a perception of double standard in Uk's dealings in the middle east and may be that percetion has some level of credibility.

My point now is inorder to tackle the the terrorism virus, why don't we look at the likely root causes, even if we don't agree with them. i think its time we listen to all sides
Christianity EtcRe: Da Vinci Code: A Lesson To Muslims by belloti(m): 3:57pm On Aug 19, 2006
Babyosisi, your english didnt make a bit of a sense, may be u need to check your spellings. Anyway, the desperation in ur grizzly posting by trying to link my post with terrorism is quite disappointing. you are free to call me a terrorist if you like but i know i am not one and i dont even encourage anything close to that. but i dont care how shortsighted people like you percieve things. I have a thread i started where i stated clearly that it is forbidden for any muslim to harm any innocent soul, i stand by that and i condemn any act of terrorism the world over.

The Uk setting appealed to me in a way when i noticed that all the suspect were homegrown. its something new. it mean something is wrong somewhere.
Christianity EtcRe: Da Vinci Code: A Lesson To Muslims by belloti(m): 3:38pm On Aug 18, 2006
David i dont know how you so much associate Islam with violence, while at least you are more likely to meet a peaceful muslim than a violent one anywhere in the world.

And to be sincere, violence in muslim world and else where is more for political reasons than political. In Zamfara for instance, there has never been any kind of religious uprising or watever, unlike places in the North like kaduna and jos where you have ethnic and other political grievances.

Am glad Terror in London is homegrown, this explain how bad the uk foreign policy and other factors can turn young and promising citizens into suicide bombers. i believe there must be injustice somewhere because no one wants to die for vain and immaterial cause. Uk is only turning their future leaders into monsterous killers by certain political actions or inactions.

We (muslims) are beautiful people just like the rest of humanity.

The truth is there was never a destruction of churches in zamfara. we have over 40 churches in the heart of Gusau, the state capital. One of the most popular school in zamfara is a catholic school. i dont know where you get info from.

For the rest of you guys, Islam is not always what you percieved to be Islam. Its a comprehensive and complex religion that need a lot of understanding. Am sorry to say even among the muslims brethren some aspects are mostly referred to the scholars for proper Interpretation. SO dont think you know a bit about Islam. you can only think you know. i advice you to please stay within the limits of your knowledges.

Lets have some Peace

mr4maliki, you are seriously misrepresenting Islam and the Rasoul (SAW). i, like everyother muslim take serious exception to this. i demand an unreserved apology.

I have no problem with u being a christian, its your life. but i can't sit here and watch you scandalously disrespecting my religious symbols.

Just for a moment, can you guys just let us be?

i only want you guys to be fair to islam. Try to understand the grey areas. Muslims and muslim nations can not be collectively fools like some of you may want to assume.

Babyosisi, you are very much welcomed here because some times you make sense. lol. i actually travelled, but not to mecca or medina, i went to the naija's holy land- Gusau- Zamfara state.
IslamRe: Why Do Muslims Hate Christians So Much, Could This Be The Anti-christ Coming? by belloti(m): 6:30pm On Aug 03, 2006
Hey let me be very clear with you guys here. Terrorists are not defending Islam, They are defending their regional sovereignty. We don't have terrorist in Nigeria, atleast not muslims. But its quite obvious most of these terrorists are muslims and we feel the pain when they killed themselves. We wish there is no terrorism in the world because terrorism is not an islamic tenets.

Islam is a peaceful religion, No one should die unneccessarily. Because as muslims we believe in accountability and on the day of judgement every one shall account for his worldly deeds. Islam says No innocent soul shall be killed.
Christianity EtcRe: Facts About Palestine by belloti(op): 6:19pm On Aug 03, 2006
Unfortunately, some of you guys satisfy your ego by insulting others. It says a lot about who we really are, but that was not the concept behind this somewhat beautiful contraption called nairaland.

Islam is a great religion and the Rasoul is the best example of humility and patience, if only you care to find out
IslamRe: Why Do Muslims Hate Christians So Much, Could This Be The Anti-christ Coming? by belloti(m): 6:09pm On Aug 03, 2006
Muslims shall always defend themselves against agression by the enemies but Real Muslim can never kill an innocent soul.

You guys should know that there is no justice in this world. The conspiracy against muslims nations is pretty obvious. The day western morons decided to stop the aggression, that very day will be the last day you see an extremist muslim trying to defend any cause.

But as long as the conspiracy persist we shall continue to see violent retaliation by our brothers that could have being alive and living peacefully.

There are Instances In Islam where Killing the guilty party is justified. I expect you guys to have a little knowledge of Islam
Christianity EtcRe: Da Vinci Code: A Lesson To Muslims by belloti(m): 4:19pm On Jul 27, 2006
i love your candour Mr Osisi, let me shed some lights as regards to your over stressed questions. i only hope you can understand the islamic perceptions not neccessarily to agree with them

1. Terrorism is not Islamic and Suicide bombing is strongly condemned in Islam. Middle - East crisis has a lot of political and liberation undertones

2. Cutting a wrist is a recommended punishment in Islam for Theft to serve as a detterent. It wasnt always carried out but Islamic punishments are basically profferred as preventive measures and not corrective

3. Dress Codes in Islam is particular about colour black and women codes are probably the same as in the gospels. its only particular about 3 points. 1. Not transparent 2. Not revealing (specific body parts) and 3. Not tight

4. There is no honour Killing in Islam. Rasoul SAW even condemned the acts in his life time

5. Its easier to proved the case against a woman for obvious reasons but if evidence are strong against any man he too would get the conviction

6. Islam strongly condemn any act of killing an innocent soul but shirk by a born and practicing muslim is liable for a death penalty where there is a strong reason for that. We can also see death penalty for drug offences in some civilised world

7. Those uprising are mostly politically motivated and not religiously sanctioned

8. Islam strongly upheld freedom of religion and thats why the over 40 churches in zamfara state capital are heavily protected by the state. you can ask anyone living there

9. The word Islam was carefully chosen by the Lord Himself for a time like this. For Islam is an arabic word that means peace.

10. Muslim Women are the most priviledge women on earth. They are heavily protected by islamic injunctions. i can explain more some other time or you can ask any muslim woman you know.

Ma assalam Osisi. This is what we want our christians friends to understand about our faith. we are not blindly following without convictions. We Believe Islam is the greatest religion and we pray to God daily to take our lives as muslims not as deviants.
Christianity EtcRe: Da Vinci Code: A Lesson To Muslims by belloti(m): 3:16pm On Jul 27, 2006
Mr4malik and the rest of you guys. Can i just ask you for a change?

Do you think there is anything good in Islam?

Do you think by being Christian you are a better humans than Muslims?

Do you think right now there is something we could have done differently if we just swap faith?

And do ever feel that you are being a little hard on some of us here that chose to respond to some of your malicious enquiries?

I just need some precise answers. Ma assalam
Christianity EtcRe: Facts About Palestine by belloti(op): 2:48pm On Jul 27, 2006
mr4malik am only asking why respond to mukina with my name? thats all am asking

Then ofcourse we ve learned how to live with people like you. i am stating points and i dont care how you interprete them but you seem to be reserving the monopoly of qualifying people into what category they belong. The Rasoul SAW said "Dont be angry". thats my only consolation.
