Politics › Re: NLC, TUC To Tinubu: We Are Not After Your Job, Fulfill Our Agreement by bentenny(m): 9:18am On Mar 02, 2024
Image123:
You can't shut down or attempt to shut down the economy and cause security worries 4 times in 9 months. It is senseless. Give government some time or breathing space for them to work. Governance is not same as frying akara or making block overnight.
Then the FG esp the president should shut up and implement the agreements with labour and stop playing politics with it!
If the presidency knew they could not fulfill any of the agreements they should have told labour and TUC!
Agreement is agreement!
Politics › Re: "Cure your visible ignorance": INEC tells Nigerians abusing Yakubu by bentenny(m): 11:39am On Mar 01, 2024
2023 general elections a huge success?
This must be the most ironic statement I have ever heard this year!
How would you call an election a success when almost all the election results were challenged in court?

The only way I will trust our electoral system and it's independence is the day the national assembly will take away the power and authority of the president to select and appoint an INEC chairman or REC officials!
Politics › Re: Tinubu Vows To Fight Smugglers, Corruption To Ruins by bentenny(m): 11:34am On Mar 01, 2024
I keep wondering how some Nigerians expect this man, who graduated from a secondary school that was later established 3 years later to fight corruption.....how nah?
Politics › Re: LP Chieftain To Work Against Party In Edo Over Candidate's Tribe by bentenny(m): 11:28am On Mar 01, 2024
Which one be LP chieftain again😂😂
So apc minions just use terms that they don't even understand😄😄
Politics › Re: What The Labour-Party Must Do Urgently, (With Respect To The Electoral-Act-2022) by bentenny(m): 11:08pm On Feb 29, 2024
BluntCrazeMan:
Is that what the LABOUR-PARTY can do.??
Is that actually part of the functions and duties of Labour-Party.??
I'm speaking in general terms!
I'm also speaking based on the fact that no matter what anyone does nothing will change until the judiciary and INEC finally gets their independence!
Until then,as laudable as your points are, nothing will happen in a judiciary tainted with corruption!
The way I see it now, even if Obi had enough evidence to upturn the tribunal verdict, the judiciary would have looked for a means to subvert justice!

Politics › Re: Adelabu: Abia Enjoys 24hr Power Supply, this Is What We Want by bentenny(m): 7:48pm On Feb 29, 2024
horsepower102:
It is not rocket science.

Allow private companies to build embedded power plants and give them the power to distribute to specific localities. They can pay a small fee to the owners of the distribution regions like EEDC.

The monopoly of the current distribution companies makes it impossible to do what Barth Nnaji did for Abia state.
Already signed into law and the states are now in charge of giving licences to private companies to generate, transmit and distribute electricity!
Politics › Re: "Let Nations Die That Humanity May Live": Soyinka Advocates Decentralisation by bentenny(m): 7:38pm On Feb 29, 2024
I may have my reservations against him but if the truth must be told,Nigeria needs this decentralization soon rather than later!
Every state needs to develop at their own pace with their own resources under their care!
This feeding bottle federalism only makes governors lazy with everyone focussing at the centre!
Food › Re: Are some retailers deliberately hiking prices? Whats happening In Nigeria? by bentenny(m): 7:27pm On Feb 29, 2024
Rickmann:
On my way from work this evening, I stopped at a shop few blocks from my building to buy noodles so I could make something real quick on getting home. I asked for the smallest pack and was told 400 naira. I asked the lady to repeat what she said cos e be like say ear dey pain me and she said again "bros na 400 o" , Omo I just weak.

Looking at the current situation in the country, Will things ever get better?
Medium superpack is now #500-700!
As much as I am tempted to blame them for this sudden hike,I cannot help but sympathize with manufacturers who are going through torrid times as a result of
Hike in FX
Epileptic electricity
Inflated transport cost due to high cost of diesel and pms
Multiplicity of taxes
Politics › Re: What The Labour-Party Must Do Urgently, (With Respect To The Electoral-Act-2022) by bentenny(m): 7:19pm On Feb 29, 2024
In my opinion,I think what needs to be done is an alteration of the power to select and appoint a CJN and INEC chairman/REC by the president!
That law should be altered for INEC and CJN to assume their full independence!
Romance › Re: Why Do Cheaters Keep On Cheating Even After Getting Caught? by bentenny(m): 7:16pm On Feb 29, 2024
Vintage9999:
the first assertion is incorrect. a man can cheat and still love his wife and family and do all that he's supposed to do. It's not quite the same for a woman. When a woman cheats, she has emotionally checked out, and lost respect for the man. Cheating for men n women is not the same
My first assertion is basically hinged on the moral principle!
Secondly, the reason why a man would cheat and still love his wife is because he hasn't learnt to control himself and doesn't realize that he cannot seek or demand loyalty or faithfulness from his partner if he cannot retain his own!
Lastly, you are spot on in your last statement because man and woman are judged or valued differently!
A man cheating may not cause an uproar because that's not where his value lies...same cannot be said about a woman who would be judged by her level of sexual purity hence cheating can be seen as a drastic reduction in her value!
Politics › Re: Chioma Okoli, ERISCO Foods And Freedom Of Speech In Nigeria (Video) by bentenny(m): 4:19pm On Feb 29, 2024
Erisco goofed big time!
This should have been a rare opportunity to use her as a platform to market his products through education of this type of product!

But the brut and ego in him decided to arrest this woman and thereby put a strain on his business!

In developed countries, complaints like this ensure that the owners through their marketing department not only educate her on the content of the product but also offer her the type she is looking for while using her as a means to advertise their products!

When I think about this woman's ordeal I start to wonder if government agencies like servicom still exist in Nigeria!
Politics › Re: Urum Kalu Eke: South East Nominee Rejects Tinubu's Appointment To CBN Board by bentenny(m): 4:04pm On Feb 29, 2024
Op the title of this thread is very misleading and obviously tainted with tribal bias!
Is he the only person from that part of the country?
Politics › Re: Urum Kalu Eke: South East Nominee Rejects Tinubu's Appointment To CBN Board by bentenny(m): 4:01pm On Feb 29, 2024
Quelme:
People from that part of the country are super unpatriotic. Na them cry marginalization pass.
He is far more patriotic than you!
For the very fact that he rejected the job due to conflicts with another job he is currently doing is a noble act and should be commended!
Romance › Re: Why Do Cheaters Keep On Cheating Even After Getting Caught? by bentenny(m): 3:52pm On Feb 29, 2024
Firstly, when someone cheats on their partner,it indicates the person doesn't love or value that partner!

So when you forgive and welcome back a cheat, the cheat will simply feel you have no value for yourself to have even contemplated letting them back...hence,they will continue where they stopped!
Politics › Re: Geometric Power Plant: Atiku Hails Nnaji, Otti, Abians by bentenny(m): 9:33am On Feb 29, 2024
Massiveglory:
One person we must not fail to appreciate in all these is madam Nnena oti. The inec rec for abia state in the governorship elections.

The fresh air of governance in abia state today is largely due to her doggedness and refusal to to do the bidding of the old order.
The fresh air in governance in abia state is because she refused to do a Mahood yakubu magic glitch.

If she did a yakubu mahood magic, abia state would remain in the usual darkness of governance.

Nigeria as a nation would not be in the deep mess it is today if we had a nnenna oti like person as head of inec.
True!

I never knew this day would come when Ghana's parliament will take this bold step despite external criticism!
Nice one from Ghana!
The madness of the LGBTQ+ group is so annoying!
Imagine a gay couple trying to use the courts to force a businesswoman to create a gay couple website for them!
So happy she won the case at the supreme court!
Evil people!
Politics › Re: FG Launches CNG-Powered Buses In Abuja by bentenny(m): 7:47am On Feb 29, 2024
Putindbutt:
Keep quiet, FG had released 100b for CNG buses and it was passed in the budget in December. I don't think you have ever ordered a toothpick from aboard, illiterate.
You should be the one to keep quiet and do more research!
There is a reason why an itel Android phone was included as part of your propaganda work kit!
Check the link below and the date....no be today Dem talk about rolling out CNG buses😄😄
E b like Dem recently recruit you😁
Olodo way nor Sabi how to use phone😛😂

Politics › Re: FG Launches CNG-Powered Buses In Abuja by bentenny(m): 12:03am On Feb 29, 2024
Putindbutt:
You guys should stop embarrassing yourselves, NLC had nothing to do with this. The buses had been ordered and paid for a long time before the protest. Ordering and delivery of buses cannot happen within two days.
Within 2days?....were you deaf and dumb for the last 5 months when the president claimed they had implemented the CNG buses with it's filling stations?

The FG claimed to have gotten CNG buses since October 2023 and only started displaying over 15 CNG buses after labour had threatened to protest and also go for a strike and you are here pathetically displaying your your own unique ignorance just to prove to WhatsApp admin that you made an ounce of sense in your comments!

Let me try to engage a little of your cerebrum....have the gas filling station been constructed nationwide to cater for the CNG buses they will be dishing out to states?
Or will the buses run on water after their gas has been exhausted?

Sometimes most of you should just stop regurgitating what you consume from your clearly uninformed WhatsApp group and go into real research!
Weren't you given an internet based phone as part of your work kits? Smh
Politics › Re: FG Launches CNG-Powered Buses In Abuja by bentenny(m): 5:23pm On Feb 28, 2024
Good one thanks to the doggedness of NLC!
Now that they about to introduce CNG buses,I hope there are also plans for special buses to get food crops from the rural to urban areas!
I also hope there are modalities in place so sustain these buses!
Politics › Re: Peter Obi Hails Tinubu For Adopting Oronsanye Report by bentenny(m): 5:17pm On Feb 28, 2024
Peter Obi is the replica of a politician without bitterness!
That's the function of an opposition:You criticize when an administration is going astray and give commendation when they are doing what will benefit the country!

All that is left for the FG is to start the implementation....I would also want to remind everyone esp the agbadorians, who have finally found their voice, that this is not the first time that a regime will talk about the implementation of the oransanya's report....even PMB had also talked about the implementation but at the end,it was just all talk and no action!
I hope this is not another ploy to evade public scrutiny as a result of their extravagant spending!

It makes no sense to talk about implementing a report when the same government have the highest number of ministries and also knowing that such was not even contained in their manifesto....making me question whether this mouthed implementation was just an after thought or an evasive tact!
Business › Re: CBN Mandates BDCs To Sell US Dollars At N1,314.01/US$ by bentenny(m):
In other words, the ill-timed and draconian float of the naira by this administration has been thrashed!
This policy those commendable should only be considered a story term measure and not a permanent fix!
The FG should use this period as a window of opportunity to go into serious production esp in the agric sector!
They should ensure the issue of electricity is completely fixed and the refineries working!
If not,we will be back to status quo by the start of the second quarter!
Politics › Re: Governor Makinde Joins NLC Protest In Oyo by bentenny(m): 7:28pm On Feb 27, 2024
This is more than commendable by the governor!
While others stayed behind dishing out threats to NLC,he came out from his comfort to make the people know he understands what they are going through!

LastProphet:
Read the closest account to what really happened below, people were in that meeting, people worked in Nnajis office, I don't need newspapers to know what happened to Nnaji: I won't speak again

https://dailypost.ng/2012/08/29/the-reasons-jonathan-forced-barth-nnaji-resign/
But in a swift response, Nnaji told journalists in Lagos yesterday that he resigned honourably from the Jonathan administration to protect his integrity and without any corruption allegation hanging on his neck. He revealed that Omokri as a “mere†presidential aide was inconsequential and was not present when he informed Jonathan in a private meeting about his decision to resign. If you want to defend your boss, defend your boss correctly with facts. Do not go to impugn people character in order to defend your boss. I have not made any statement against anybody and I know exactly what happened in that place.

The former minister, who further stated that he was still in possession of a copy of his resignation letter, added that two days after his resignation, the former president confirmed publicly that he did not commit any offence. It is actually quite funny. First, the presidential aide was not there when the president and I discussed my resignation and I have my letter of resignation and I resigned. The president and I discussed it, and I even issued a statement on why I resigned. But to make matters even much clearer, two days later, the president was directly asked what I did that I left the government, and he said, and I quote ‘Professor Nnaji committed no offence.’ It is there; all of you reported it. It is not from my mouth; it was from the president’s mouth,†Nnaji added.
I took the leisure of bringing out his very words so that you will know it came directly from him!
Any other narrative is just mere speculation!

Nnaji walked into a ministerial meeting he was supposed to chair as minister and he found Sambo sitting on his seat and Sambo asked him to excuse them, that was how he learnt of his sack. Is that resignation?
Oga Barth Nnaji was clear enough when he said he honorably resigned!
I prefer to believe his own words than yours!

All these lame cliché just to placate the undiscerning!
Nigeria will only work when there is true federalism!
Nigeria will function when every state controls their own resources and pay a form of tax to the centre every month!
Nigeria will prosper when everyone no matter the region or tribe or status is equally valued!
