It shaped my personality unconsciously..
Now i feel like i lost my follow come personality and then the one i have now was created as a result of social exchange.

This topic is a great one to really discuss as this are real life situations happening on a daily basis and there are also people seeking real help and do not know how to go about it.

First off, Voluntary returned migrants are of great interest to both international and local Non-Governmental Organisation domiciled in Nigeria as well as the federal government. Various channels have been created to ensure proper reintegration of this returnees.. Notable among these projects is the AVRR (assisted voluntary return and reintegration) program by IOM.
The AVRR project is targeted at returned migrants and it involves providing immediate help in form of skill acquisition trainings, mentoring, psycho-social support to returnees and even providing shelter for returnees for the duration of their training to when they are set up or their economic status has been enhanced to an extent. Alot of returned migrants have benefited from these program and are still benefitting from it.
NGC(Nigerian-German Centre for jobs, migration and reintegration) runned by GIZ in partnership with federal ministry of labour and employment. Have a program PME going on here in Nigeria who's main aim is to fill the void felt by returnees by offering them as well as the local population comprehensive advisory and support services, ranging from training opportunities and returnee preparatory measures (for German returnees) in Germany to advice and qualifications for getting re-established back home (Nigeria).. They have centre hubs in Nigeria in Lagos, Benin and Abuja..
It does not matter if you returned voluntarily or not. The key idea behind these projects is to try and offset the push factors to an extent that can discourage re-migration (situations where people come back and because of shame of not coming back with anything try to go back with whatever means available to them).. Absolutely any returned migrants could work into any of the NGC program office or IOM offices and help will be provided..
Do not let the shame of coming back empty handed hold you back, there is alot more to achieve in life. Help is out there, seek it!

It's a Nigerian thing.. That 'i no get choice mentality' (and e terrible) every person selling a thing to you feels there are doing you a favour.. If u no buy 20 other pipo go buy am like dat.... Once I'd wanted to use POS to withdraw some money.. Elderly lady, told me she would charge 200 naira.. I accepted told her i will transfer the money to her.. She told me she would give me a number to call and tell the person am sending money... Then he will confirm when he sees it before she gives me the equivalent amount in cash.. Told her to call the person herself because its supposed to be a part of her business, she said i should call because she is doing me a favour..that if i can't call the person i should go.. Lol.. Sounded truly funny.. Maaami! Doing me which favour? And i will still pay ur 200 naira POS charges...? I told her she wasn't doing me any favour, that am paying for the service. The funny thing was, everybody there started murmuring that i don't have respect, am not greatful and plenty other murmurs... You can imagine the mentality alot of us hold!.. That's why even in leadership, we can never stand with one voice...

When I met him he didn't have his own apartment. He was just fresh out of school. So he was searching for a job.

I used to visit him them at his friends place ( married man). He later got a job in a hotel at Chevron drive but along the line we had a misunderstanding and gave it a break for months.

He called and to me he had gotten an apartment at lekki. that I should come see if I like the place..
I got there and was just playing around and checking his wardrobe when I saw ladies shower caps.
I was like, who owns this? And he said they normally give them at the hotel. Chai!!! This guy can lie for Africa. Like seriously, who gives guys shower caps? So, I told him, you've been camping a lady in this house and he said, "don't start". I just kept quiet because we only just got back together after months.

I later checked his wardrobe again when he stepped out and found more shower caps.

Now, don't call me dumb. I know what I'm saying. That guy was a serial cheat. In fact, that was why I later dumped him and faced my life and God.

They do give shower caps in hotel.. As a matter of fact i have a lot of them in my place along with toiletries i normally take as souvenirs when am checking out of hotel..
Am talking standard hotels, protea and their likes..
