I don't think so. No government will be worst than Buhari's administration. We are tired! |
As a Yoruba, I will support boda igboho. Hausa/Fulani can go to hell for all that I care. |
Yeye dey smell! |
Is it not better for the ethnic groups to go their separate ways? Imagine Buratai's appellation of Uncle Sunday as "terrorist and murderer". Who has he killed and who has he murdered. |
It amazes me to hear that Obi Cubana made his money from rituals or drug. Those saying that must be nut or insensitive. Talking about his money, people have forgotten how he started from the scratch. Talking about the burial, they have forgotten that his mother died last year, it took him 7 months to plan the burial. The committee of friends are also their to assist him. If Obinna did ritual to get to where he is now, that ritual must be a very good ritual. |
What about Philosophy? |
"Alagbede Oro" (Wordsmith) @87. Happy birthday Prof. Wole Soyinka. |
Is there really a bad course? Is there a course that is useless in the real sense of the word "useless"? Those saying that should better think again. In my view, I don't think any course is useless, it depends on what you make out of it. How you can fit into the society. It is not necessarily that you should use your course of study to gain employment. Talking about Microbiology, I know one bros who studied Microbiology and he is presently one of the big boys in one of the banks in Nigeria. I know of another who studied Political Science and he is doing well too. And I have heard stories of people who studied Computer science, Law and all that but are no where to be found. And I know of Programme Analysts and Lawyers doing superbly well. It all depends on your world view. My point is that whatever course you study in school, do it well and be focused, before you know it, gbam! You are there! Mind you, there is God factor in whatever we do. Hence, factor God in whatever you do and God will crown your effort. |
I have to contend and deal with the baby face I have. Being a man, many younger ones trief to disrespect me because of my look. I remember when I assumed duty in my office, many of my co-staff believed I was a Corp Member serving in the organisation. But as time went own, they began to wake up to the reality. My baby face has been a blessing for me . |
Success is a relative term, it means different things to different people. To X for instance being successful is when he acquires a B.Sc certificate while to Y is when he is able to build a two bedroom bungalow and to Z is when he travels to Mali. But unfortunately the craze and yearning for money has made many people to jettison such values, measuring success in monetary terms. Although some other persons can measure success in terms of achieving a feet in life in which having a particular amount of money can be term successful. |

I miss doggy style |
I see you as an ingrate! You did not appreciate what God has done for you. You said that you have graduated from the University. You are alive to write all you wrote. You struggled to go to school, yet you succeeded. But there are many of your mates who had the same aspirations and desire for education like you did but never succeeded. Many hustled the way you hustled but did not make it. Just because you think you should have gotten a house of your own, children of your own, car of your own and all the things you think make life easy at 33 but they are not within reach. You should be grateful that you have life, when you are alive, the sky is your starting point. You are educated for God's sake and that is what you need. Just keep on doing it and garnish it with prayers, you will get there. Okay? |
[ You are a fool and a stupid northern. Arewa don't behave like Umar or talk to trash you are saying. Despite watching the video, hmm? Yet no video or pictures showing such chants... moreover the security personnel is from plateau state. You better be careful and don't sow the seed of discord. quote author=AdolfAboki post=100475388]Hmm.. IPOB, ESN and other unscrupulous elements in the South East region should NOT dare the NORTH! Mark my words IPOBIANS, if anything bad should happen to Danladi Umar or any Arewa sons or daughters, we'll make Nigeria HELL for you bloody terrorists! I repeat, NOTHING MUST HAPPEN TO UMAR! Limit your secessionist chants and sectional slogans to your region. Limit your uncouth behavior to your region! If you think we'll fold our hands and watch you humiliate our leaders like you humiliated Ekweremadu and co, then you must be joking! I dun talk my own finish. Dare us and see! God bless the North. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.[/quote] |
I quite understand what you are going through. Inside of you, you will be thinking how did I get here particularly now that I just get a job, federal job for that matter. Then you have to use your brain, you need to take care of your mum. Don't ever think of resigning from your job cos if you did where will you get money to take care of mama. Take a leave maybe part of your annual leave and go home to sort out things with your mum and dad and not one sort of an uncle. |
I must commend your writing skill. You should be the Adichie of our time. Back to the crust of the matter. I will advice you don't let the cat out of the bag. The deed has been done. Let it remain so and forge ahead. Confessing will not only worsen the matter, it will jeopardize it. |
Atleast he went to God in prayer and not some sort of shamen that will tell him to bring human sacrifice. God will answer his prayer in Jesus Name. |
I dont think the guy is sound mentally. It baffles me whenever i hear such trash from a man or even a woman. how can somebody tell you that your mama is the one behind your pedicament. it is sad to hear that. If your mother had wanted to finish you, she would have done so a long time ago. well, some folks can be mumu |
The good thing about the strike is that it will be an eye opener to the Southerners particularly the Westerners. I don't care how the North will feel but one thing I am sure of is that it won't be rosy as they are projecting. Northern farmers will lose and their businessmen that deal with perishable goods will groan. It is high time they had a rethink. Transporting tomatoes and other perishable products will not profit them too. For the Southerners, they should concentrate on their cash crops like cocoa. Let the south go back to the days of old when things were better. Yoruba will be better off without the North. South east/south will not do bad too. The north too might likely not be bad though. Likevi said earlier, it will profit southwest more. The best is that all the regions should come together and become one because in unity we derive our strenght.! |
usman3688:There is something they call Scheme of Service; this book stipulates your schedule of duty and the method of entry vis a vis your qualifications. Position or designations are given according to the strength of your qualification. But in your case, I may not be able to talk more cos of the grade level you talked about. Grade level 3 is for junior officer cadre |
Shelumiel:It cleared off at first and I resumed my diet. But occassiinally the pains come but it fizzle out within minutes. The answer to that is my diet though. |
I will continue to hail the Igboho boy by the name Sunday |
I am not surprise that the Bauchi governor uttered such statement. That is the Hallmark of their lineage. Fulanis support one another. Come to think of it, are cattle lives more important than that of human beings? These herders have turned to monsters. Cattle imperialism under any guise is an obscenity to humanity. There is need to commence a process of public sensitisation; People should be sensitized and enlightened on cattle rearing. I wish all hands should be on deck in this agenda. Even the police are not left out. This is because they give resentful narrative about the activities of the herdsmen. I am not against cattle rearing but I am against herdsmen killing people and destroying people's farm. |
Teachers are well paid now a days! It might be a smart move but not an intelligent decision. Many people will not buy such decision, it is apposite considering the state of the world and the trend and dimension Nigeria is tilting towards these days. I took similar decision many years back to jettison Law for Philosophy. I wouldn't confidently say my decision was right but I will take such decision anew. Thinking about it now, I might possibly not be a good lawyer but presently, I am not a bad administrator. So, the guy in question might have something off his sleeves, I pray it pays him at the end of the day. |
It is a serious matter. I don't pray to be in such quagma. Its really weird and it can kill one by having high blood pressure. Though I don't blame the man. 1996 was a long time. It was a time there was no phone, no email, no Skype, nothing in fact! I remmeber in those days when my mum travelled to the East, I used to stay at alert praying that my mum returned. No means to reach her. So I wouldn't blame the man neither will I blame the woman nor the daughter. It is easier to form saint or intelligent in a matter like this but the truth is that it can happen to anybody. I just pray that the Lord give the man the wisdom to untie the Knott. Its really sad but then, what can he do. Will he divorce her daughter and reject his children? Of course not! He may not marry his daughter again but he can't deny his children. I will put him in prayer. It is not a curse since he did not do it intentionally. |
Is he a Nigerian? |

I use water to wipe my butt and I am proud of it. I use left hand to wash my butt and I clean it with soap and water. So what is the fuss about eating with my hand afterwards? |
Why will you want to quit gambling. You have already started it , why stop now. Continue please |

Well, "how are you" shouldn't be offensive when you use it to address an elder particularly when you address him or her cautiously, politely and respectfully. "How are you sir/ma" won't bring a fuss. |
The story is unfathomable |
