Ireland have no say in the affairs of a sovereign nation like Nigeria. Who's Ireland? Who's Berry? No government in the world folds it's arms to allow revolution happened to it,but peaceful protest is allowed as enshrined in our constitution. Revolution is equivalent of coup de 'ate on a democratically elected government. Look at how Egypt is today after the killing of Mouse! Try revolution in the USA not a peaceful protest and wait for Trump's action with fire and brimstone.
Ireland is a great country that Nigerians are trioopping to en masse while Nigeria another failed black State swallows in abject destruction and poverty. Be grateful the oyinbos brought electricity and cars to you if not you will still be in ur mud huts.

Lies lies lies

It is better to believe devil than believing China

It is better we borrow from west and default than borrow from Chinco and default. The gvt that is responsible for this mess won't be there to clean it up tomorrow.

Don't borrow what you can pay back because Chinese gvt is like devil you ask him for fruit if the womb, when he is ready to collect his due he would collect a full grown child in return.

Those idiots who are saying nothing would happen are useless coconut headed blind bats, they would not listen.

Go to YouTube search for Wodemaya Chinese taking over Zambia and see how they interfered with Zambia internal affairs.

I was shocked but I was not completely shocked because even in Nigeria they lock their workers up like slaves and silence them.
Then let the Africans respect themselves and develop their continent themselves and stop being passed from one colonial master to another. Africa was first colonized by Europe and now by China. After China hopefully uae will colonize Africa too

Omoyele didn't force any government on the people. The people made their own choice. I don't know when it has become a crime to be vocal again a government that is not living up to its expectations.

His media opened the can of worms that sat in Aso and he isn't sorry for it as the millions of voters who booted the ineffectual buffoon out of office.

This is another irresponsible government and Omoyele, as he's known to be, has since stood his ground against it. Then, what exactly is his sin? That he didn't pamper a cash cow to a select few back to office?

The government today would go as well and another would come. Woe betide whoever runs around supporting political onslaught on the people in the name of supporting a party or tribe because, at the end, history would remember those who stood against evil in whatever form it came for good.

I should school you but you must be humble to learn.

Small scale businesses are affected because they can't compete favorably with these "foreign" companies because of their force of finance. The businesses have obviously been growing but they can't COMPETE with these people!

There's a reason Mugabe chased white farmers away from Zimbabwe in 2002. I don't have strength or I would have elaborated more.

They are good sources of FDI, but they have many disadvantages.

I read Politics and Geography btw
Not enough of an excuse. You are implying Nigerians are an inferior people that for 50 years no magnate like Dangote could build malls??

Zimbabwe chasing out white farmers is a bad example - aren't you thinking of going to white mans land? Zimbabwe is one if the worst countries in the world - like Somalia - and pls don't pay the they were colonized card - US was colonized too.

Nigerian Access bank recently took over a Kenyan bank. Dangote is in several countries at least 14 African countries. Glo is all over west Africa too. there is UBA in other African countries including Kenya. we have businesses scathered everywhere. and it is important we continue to encourage intra africa trade
Intra Africa trade is very good but most prefer to send to Europe so that they earn foreign exchange.

When a shopping outlet like Shoprite closes it has negative ripple effect. Businesses and various suppliers who thrive through Shoprite will be affected. Job losses etc'

I have observed over time the increase in Nigeria value added products on sale at Shoprite. I can refill my kitchen up to 80% of our needs with discount of 5-15%.

Household purchases i can do up to 60% excluding specific needs or options at bargain pricing.

The economy is already a mess. Right now we need to keep companies from quiting. 100% or 0% sales Shoprite has a huge energy and maintenance bill etc Some outlets in the mall cant market themselves and thrive on customers coming to make purchases at Shoprite to stopover..

Shehu Sanni is comfortable and until he can replace Shoprite with an equivalent or better brand with more opportunities for Nigerians let him keep his peace......Lunch time is about over now and incoming email indicates three more regular staffs dropped. Meanwhile 2019-2020 forcast initially projected 6-8 possible employment and 16x2shifts for production...Is it still feasible?
In Shoprite you can return a defective product. In Nigerian retailers, once money exchanges hands no returns....

There's no demonstrable overarching business viewpoint.

Selfishness has taken away that sense of collective responsibility or community.its the underlining principle behind senseless corruption.

With no community-focused deep thinker, there's no recognised macro-economic voice ... But squeaks
The occasional squeaks are treated as terrorists rather than major stakeholders.

Question...

Where are the heads of the chambers of business, leads of Directors Guilds, heads of Labour unions or other workers unions..

Once individual pockets are settled, the status quo continues.
.
anyway the point is blaming Buhari is not the answer - as for selfishness and corruption - the questions nigerians should ask themselves is why is it from 1960 (60 good years) to date its the same corruption story - maybe its a curse?

GamalNasser:
Buharis poor leadership has affected the the buying powers of Nigeria and created currency valuation and for a company like ShopRite that's a death Knell for them when their consumers can't buy enough and they can't really increase prices to match the currency devaluation ...so in essence they have no choice to exit at this point and hope some mumu comes to buy their Nigerian asset and stock
The buying power of Nigerians have been affected by the greed of Nigerians - use covid-19 period as an example - nigerians increased prices of even face masks - Shoprite and spar being fairly priced items with a return policy compared to nigerian retailers - so its the nigerians themselves that are responsible for a poor currency valuation - nigeria can have a good currency valuation if the people wake up to their responsibilities as good citizens and stop waiting for Buhari to do everything for them. Is there poor police? Let the citizens create community policing - poor purchasing power? Let the citizens form pressure and lobby groups to work with the government. Nigerians hardly take personal responsibility for things - all they do is fasting and prayer and blaming the President - dont get me wrong prayer has its place and fasting but its not what got China to become a super power....

Why is Amaechi even wasting his time on these people. They are okay with Africans being slaves to the IMF and collecting loans that mostly ends in the pockets of white companies and corrupt politicians, but they have problems with low-interest, long-term loans from China. It's only an irresponsible government that will fail to repay such loans (given the time and interest rate of the deal).

Modified
Some Cownu minions are not aware that China has canceled loans for African countries without giving stupid conditions like approval of gay marriage. Not only that, China has never endorsed a candidate in our country or tried to fforce us into going for destructive policies (SAP). They claim that they have never taken over a country, yet great African leaders like Ghaddafi are dead today for refusing to become puppets. Not only that, they have taken over Iraq and Ivory Coast while still fighting to seize Syria and Venezuela.

But then, even their leader called them pigs and idiots so no surprises here
If they have taken over ivory coast and lybia, then that means Africans are weak, they took over during colonial times and now they are taking over again. Why can't Ivory coast take over Italy or Spain or Ukraine?? Playing victim won't help Africa this time.

Thats what women are meant to be, so if women arent slaves, men shouldnt be breadwinners, you put it like women doing house work is slavery, the men doing the breadwinning what is that called?

In a home

A womans job: cooking, caring for kids, child bearing, maintaning the home

A mans job: breadwinning, making money and provision for the family.

Isnt it balanced, OP you are just a simp, ass licking women wont get you anywhere, so you want men to make money and care for the home as women sit down and watch you(their slave) do everything up to washing their undies. Nonsense
Very good one. The vast majority of women don't like stress and bread winning is STRESSFUL!
