Expansion into Nigeria marks a major milestone in Honoris’ mission to provide Education for Impact across the continent

Honoris United Universities, Africa’s first and largest pan-African network of private higher education institutions, today announced its expansion into West Africa by welcoming Nile University of Nigeria, known for its strong academic credentials and best-in-class faculties, into the network.

Established in 2009, Nile University of Nigeria is a fully accredited university that offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the Arts and Social Sciences, Engineering, Law, Management Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, and Medical & Health Sciences. Committed to the best development experiences for its students, the university’s campus located in Abuja provides modern learning environments and high-quality facilities, including outstanding sports amenities as well as secure hostel accommodation.

With the largest population and economy in Africa, Nigeria is poised to lead a new generation of African leaders and professionals. As high-quality education in public and private institutions increases in demand, Honoris is partnering with the Nile University of Nigeria to support access, quality, and outcomes while extending its world-class African human talent mandates.

With Honoris United Universities, Nile University of Nigeria students will have access to diverse experiences across the entire network, including 21st century physical and digital learning environments using state-of-the-art professional technologies. Additionally, they will benefit from Honoris’ regional and international network of partners, providing opportunities for student and faculty exchanges and research programs. These experiences will support the growth of highly competitive graduates as well as contribute to the development efforts of Nigerian communities throughout the country.

As Honoris United Universities marks its third anniversary, the addition of the Nile University of Nigeria to the Honoris network is a major milestone in its pan-African expansion. With a footprint that extends from Casablanca to Cape Town, and from Abuja to Tunis, the Honoris network now consists of 11 institutions in 10 countries and 32 cities, amassing significant expertise in contact, distance and online education. Its institutions are well-established authorities within the disciplines of Medical & Health Sciences, Engineering, IT, Business, Law, Architecture, Creative Arts & Design, Media, Political Science and Education.

Commenting, CEO of Honoris United Universities, Luis Lopez, said, “As we welcome the Nile University of Nigeria to the Honoris family of higher education institutions, we are undertaking an important step forward in our pan-African goal of widening access to quality higher education for young people in the continent. In light of Nigeria’s strategic importance to the development of Africa, we are pleased to be making this investment in the educational system of the country. Moreover, the high standards and the accomplishments of the Nile University of Nigeria add significant collaborative intelligence and pedagogical capabilities to our network. I look forward to the contributions Honoris United Universities and Nile University of Nigeria will bring to our communities throughout Nigeria.”

Of note, Nile University of Nigeria’s medical school further strengthens the network’s health sciences vertical and complements the Honoris Medical Simulation Centre in Tunis, which trains more than 3,500 students and upskills health professionals within the wider medical community. Together, these programs highlight Honoris’ focus on professions and skills relevant to the students and to the communities they will impact.

I just hope we dont jump from oil n focus on gold, then continue the monoeconomic way.

The problem with Nigeria is that the people are too selfish, individuaĺistic and wicked to make any collective progress.

- You prefer English to Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba.
- You make effort to have a British or American accent and think its cool and posh.
- When you want to learn a new language, you prefer to learn German Italian or French instead of Hausa or the languages spoken in Akwa Ibom or Cross Rivers.
- You let the white man go first/ check out first before you at the shopping mall or airport immigration queue.
- You prefer to study in UK, US and Canada instead of studying in Ghana, South Africa, Tunisia, Rwanda or Egypt.
- You think everything oyinbo is good and everything African is barbaric and inferior.

I blame Nigerian FG from 1999 till date for neglecting our education sector. A course of 4 year is done for 6 years because of unnecessary prolonged strike, lecture halls and hostels are in a horrible state, not forgetting cultism and the country is a mess. Why won't people pay that much to travel out to study and get a better life than this hell whole country
White kids and black kids are sent to university
The white kids like Newton start coming up with laws of motion and relativity show the black kids form cults and kill themselves over women with marchers. Fg isn't to blame rather the inhabitants of the nation need to have an introspection. It wasn't UK government that forced Newton to master physics so government shouldn't have to force Nigerian students. Pls stop inventing excuses.

That's how it usually goes. The west manufactures a new disease, soon enough it spreads to Africa. Then they control the disease in their own countries, Africa struggles to control it too, but fails.
Before long, the disease naturalizes in Africa and assumes an African identity. And then the west begin their subtle discrimination of Africa, while throwing handouts and intervention funds at us every now and then.
It's happened several times before, that's how all these so called "tropical diseases" came about.
And Nigerians and Africa can't make their own diseases and send to Europe. Or have their own doctors combat the disease. Playing victim is no longer the easy way out for Africa.

Just thank the whiteman for inventing the keyboard and computer you are using to view and type while you were still in your mud huts and the university students are busy forming cults.

INEC had said evoting can't be introduced because it is not provided for in the constitution. This is such a shame because it is false. The constitution can be read on Google.

The constitution uses the word "vote" - this could be physical voting or e-voting. Evoting isn't expressly forbidden in the constitution.

*HOW THE NIGERIAN SYSTEM KILLED MY BELOVED DAUGHTER*:-

*JOSEPHINE OLAYEMI ODUFOWORA*
By
_*Jide Olayemi*_

https://josephine616..com/?m=1

Josephine went for her antenatal at the health centre, Ota Ogun state Nigeria on the 11th June 2020 where it was confirmed that the twins in her womb are kicking and that there was no cause for alarm.

Around 12am the next day, she was rushed to a private hospital, where we where told to go back to the Health centre where she registered for her antenatal which we did accordingly. My brother-in-law *Lawrence Ajiki* had to voice out that the health centre has only the features of a Poultry farm, with just 2 auxillary nurses present, we were referred to Ota General Hospital where we were left unattended to for over 3 hours as only 1 doctor was on duty who referred us to *Federal Medical Center Abeokuta* after delaying us for hours..

I took my daughter to *FMC* in anticipation that it has various specialist doctors, incubators, modernized health care gadgets, etc.,as we were told at the General hospital.

We arrived at *FMC* on the 13th June around 9:30pm.
We met some doctors & nurses at the entrance of the ICU Emergency Ward. The look on their Faces was as good as those in a comedy hall after seeing my daughter very uncomfortable with her pregnancy.

*The beginning of Josephine's exit*

For over 4 hours, my daughter was not attended to in ICU emergency ward,no bed space, untill a formal agreement of #18,500 weekly payment for bed space before she was finally attended to.. They kept ordering series of tests, scans and drugs, amounting to hundreds of thousands of naira. It never crossed my mind that no doctor would attend to her after all the payment. The second day, an anonymous woman came to my wife and told her to take my daughter to a private hospital if she really loves her, as *FMC* won't attend to your daughter, they only want to extort you.

*The Questions Begging For Answers*

1) Why did *FMC* compel us to go for the series of tests and drugs knowing fully well they would not attend to my daughter?

2)Why did *FMC* not attend to a pregnant woman for over 6 hours in an emergency ICU ward ?

3) Why did *FMC* collect hundreds of thousands of Naira for Ward, bed space and others without attending to my daughter?

4) Why did the doctors keep collecting money knowing they won't attend to my daughter?

5) where are those that claimed that are proud of Nigeria?

6) Why was the cause for alarm after she was confirmed to be doing well at the Health centre just the same day?

*The End is here*

Josephine was taken to a private hospital in the early hours of June 16 where we were told to make a deposit of 500k before attending to us and 200k was paid in cash immediately..
The surgery was successful, she was stable, brushed her mouth and took a slice of bread as instructed by the doctor. She called her husband, spoke with her son too, and joy was on the faces of everyone present. However we had lost the twins.

An hour later, Josephine became restless, her eyes bulging and the doctors battled for 6 hours to save her life.
She gave up the ghost at exactly 11:30pm on the 16th of June 2020 at age 25.

It therefore became a mystery and irrational seeing anyone confessing how much they love and prayed that God has bless Nigeria..
My Daughter died only because this country failed her, she died because she was a Nigerian, leaving behind my little Emmanuel.

Please pray not for Josephine, but for what she left behind.
