Sad but its a standing rule in the military, if you plot a coup and it fails, death follows. IBB ruled through the Armed Forces Ruling Council (just like the present day Federal Executive Council) and they must ratify all sentences before its carried out. That's the rule. I remembered the day the execution took place, IBB couldn't address the Nation, he deferred it to Maj. Gen. Domkat Bali to make the announcement. It was that hurting.
TheAviator: Former President Ibrahim Babangida was the best man on the day his friend and coursemate, Major General Mamman Vatsa wedded his heartthrob, Safiya (nee Nwaeza Onwuka), an Efik from Calabar.
However, Mamman Vatsa was later implicated in a plot to overthrow President Ibrahim Babangida in 1985. Vatsa was arrested few days before Christmas in 1985 (four months after the advent of Babangida's presidency), tried by a Special Military Tribunal headed by Major General Charles Ndiomu, and was executed in March 1986.
We are just an angry nation. One useless youth will now throw spanner into the turbine in anger.. I thought we had military personnel guarding all these plants?
Yes so you need to confirm through VFS Global ...they handle Schengen Visa applications in Nigeria. Applying while still a corper shouldn't be an issue if you can provide proofs of financial standing, letter of invitation, health insurance etc Some of the countries mentioned have separate requirements from standard Schengen visa requirements. I'll advise you scour through the Internet for them.
Hoverboy27: Some embassies are accepting tourist visa applications. Sweden in particular.
I don’t mind travelling through any country. Besides I can always rebook another flight to my intended destination when I get the visa.
I just want to be clear about applying next month while still a “corper”, even though trip is POST service.
Not sure you can apply for Schengen visa for now due to the pandemic. Applying through a particular country may mean you having to travel first through that country
ANAMBRA MONARCHS LAUD PRESIDENT BUHARI FOR DEVELOPMENTAL STRIDES IN SOUTH EAST
Traditional rulers from Anambra State on Thursday expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for his commitment to development of the country in general, and the South East in particular.
The monarchs, led to the Presidential Villa by Prince Arthur Eze, were received by Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, who thanked them for coming, adding that the gesture would encourage the President to do even more for the region and the country as a whole.
“As it is generally said in most parts of the country, when you thank somebody for what he has done, he is encouraged, and does more. This is an incentive for the President to do more for the country, and also for the South East,” Professor Gambari said.
The royal fathers listed the landmark projects embarked upon by President Buhari in their region to include “the Second Niger Bridge, that had been presented as an impossible task by previous administrations, but now becoming a reality under your keen watch,” the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, among others.
“The people of the South East are, indeed, grateful, as we have never had it so good, and on their behalf, we say DAALU (thank you),” the Royal fathers declared.
Also lauding the President for appointing Igbo sons and daughters into key positions in government, they said as custodians of the heritage of the people, they felt it was incumbent on them to “come and express our appreciation on behalf of the entire people of the area, and to urge Your Excellency to do more for the Zone.”
The monarchs included HRM Eze Dr Nkeli Nzekwe, HRM Igwe Chuba Mbakwe, HRM Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo, HRH Igwe Anthony Onwekwelu, and HRH Igwe Chukwuma Bobo Orji.

Genuine Tech Startups that give good returns through Agriculture etc are duly registered with the SEC. Stop trying to hoodwink people into forex, bitcoins and any other schemes. Allow whoever wants to get involved research and do that on their own volition and not yours. Enjoy your ROI on the platforms you've invested.
Dfavouredone: Are tech start-ups on SEC website? Does everything have to be on SEC website before it can be invested in?
Well, I think it's just individual investment strategy and risk appetite. Whether you're more interested in higher ROI or just preserving your capital.
Also, capital preservation can be an illusion some time, imagine investing in mutual funds with average return of 5% PA and the inflation rate is more than 10% PA, you will be have losing money in the relative sense. Because the same capital plus interest won't be able buy the same thing in the future, what it can buy now.
Money depreciate with time, so as a principle try to invest in something that the ROI is higher than the prevailing inflation rate, otherwise your money is losing worth in real sense and it would be better you just buy land or any other real estate.

damiloladuke: Big Brother Naija housemate and billionaire son, Kiddwaya, has threatened to beat up anyone who dares to embarrass him on national television.
The hunky housemate mentioned this during a conversation with Tolanibaj on Sunday night.
The discussion ensued barely an hour after Lucy and Nengi engaged in an argument where they both hurled dirty insults at each other.
According to Kiddwaya, he would beat up anyone who tries to embarrass him and would exit the show.
In his words ;
“I will beat you up if you try to embarrass me on national television. I would leave here and go back to my normal life, no problems.
“We crack jokes here but if you go out of your way to embarrass me I will beat you. I’m a calm person either way,”
