Did not take time at all because I've used it on the laptop before. All I did was turn off the phone and connect to the laptop with the flash tool running (navigated to the scatter.txt file location) and it picked up.

Why not try downloading to a laptop or desktop computer? Downloading on your phone may not work as some sites are not suitably adapted for such.

Missy, I can't seem to download the software update from the infinix mobility site instead it takes me to this page (image attached) each time I try to download. Thing is, my phone's rooted and couldn't install the recent update even after successfully changing Kinguser to SuperSU and thereabout unrooting fully, it still showed the “error” notif while trying to update almost half way through. Had to remove and reinsert my battery before it turned on after which I no longer saw again the update icon at the top bar of my phone. Any solution please?

Rooting phones allow you remove unnecessary apps installed by the manufacturers such as you would find in Samsung phones for example. On Hot2, you don't have those type of bloat wares (that's what they called them) so there's no need to root since it came with stock android rom (unaltered android from Google not Infinix blended).

On some devices you need root to change the IMEI but on Hot2, this can be done without root.

So in essence, not every phone needs to be rooted for you to tweak.

You didn't have to. I use same and did not root. Works perfect for me. To get updates you need to unroot and refresh your fone with the original stock rom. Get the download from infinix mobility website. Without doing this you will get error when trying to update.

Are you ignorant or just toying with me? You work in a bank but are too blind to see the many loopholes being exploited by consumers needing a mortgage. Such an individual then repays friends and families from credit card or other sources. Finally this is the f*cking US of A, the only people that are lost are those afraid to ask for directions, some people are broke but because of their average to good credit score and job they are able to secure a mortgage following the rules of churning, I wish I can explain more but that would be an insult to a banker such as yourself

Not doubting it if she can afford it or not but the issue is ....if Linda truly acquired the house, she would have been on her blog praising God and thanking her numerous fans and NOT for her lousy sister flaunting it for her. 10 chances to 1 her sister's twitter handle must have been hacked and someone playing folly here ...just my opinion though.
