CONS: You can't take your money out of it without a 25% penalty unless you're retiring or paying for your first home or leaving the Country permanently, I think

PROS: Government gives you a 25% bonus up to £4,000 contribution. So if a Husband and wife put £4k each in March, they get £2k. If they put another £4k each in May (which is a new year), they get another £2k. So, in a space of few months, they just got £4,000 that they can use for their first home or retirement. Depending on your provider, you might even get more interests outside the 25%.

Now, why I say you should open it NOW: You can't use funds from your LISA for your first home if the account has not been active for up to 1 year. So if you wait and start your LISA few months before your house purchase, you can't use the funds cos it won't be up to a year.

You don't risk so much, which is why I said put £1 or more and don't wait till you "haff balance" so the 1 year starts counting. Secondly, even if you change your mind and want your money back, the 25% penalty is almost the same 25% the Government gave you, remember? Of course it's more (Mathematics).

I've re-enrolled at our new apartment, but it doesn't get updated on credit history that soon.

I didn't sign any contract with them. They gave me a 5 years COS, no relocation package or anything. I have been staying in an hotel with my family since I arrived and getting a place has been very difficult and the company said they can do nothing about it except giving me reference if a landlord accepts and no landlord is willing to accept us right now except we pay 6 months upfront or have stayed up to 6 months in the UK. Hello guys. I posted about driving bruhaha where I worked. Although my company advised me to apply for a provincial license which I have done, I noticed they have been very cold towards me since then. They find fault in everything I do and threaten to send me home at any slight instant. They are delibrately frustrating me. I get accused for things I didn't do and I am not given a chance to defend myself. Currently I trek several miles daily to see clients because my company said I can only buy a car until I get my pass my driving test and I can't use my international license. They paid me without a pay slip and wen I requested they ignored. I was threatened that I will be sent home if any report comes about me. I am tired. I just called another company who are willing to sponsor me after an interview.

My question. Can I go with the new company because I have only worked for a month with my current company. What about my dependents, do they need to apply as well

I use dental insurance through my job and I pay £8 a month. Whenever I go to the dentist I send the receipt to the insurance and they refund me whatever I spent at the dentist. Try taking up dental insurance that way u can go see any private dentist and get your money back.
