(1) what sort of invesment can someone with spare 500pounds per month do. That will not require much physical presense. I tried having a car and leasing for uber but the stress plenty.

I am looking at all these bonds, stocks and the rest.

(2) i have two friends in nigeria who really want to come to uk but dont have much money as such they cannot do the student route which i did.
How best can someone in nigeria get sponsorship even if it is to come and do care or factory work or any work at that.

Are there website i can check for this or who has idea to shed more light for me. I really want to help them

Cool, my go to response is "I have a residents permit that allows me to work". Because a Tier 4 BRP is actually a residents permit.

Yup, don’t ask, don’t tell. if they ask, say you have a visa that allows you to work, if they ask what type of visa, just say Tier 4. All the extra shalaye of student visa and needing sponsorship isn’t necessary.

Most companies would rather go for someone without that extra sponsorship baggage. Trust me, if you’ve gone through all the stages and they actually like you, then you can negotiate that as a part of the deal because some of these companies would rather not go through the whole hiring process again especially if they actually offer sponsorship and they really need someone to fill out that role OR show the value you bring and post probation, request for sponsorship. Some get lucky with a few companies who are open about offering sponsorship right away. But a lot of companies do not outrightly offer, so you’ll end up losing a lot of good opportunities if you are too eager to mention that you are on a student visa or that you need sponsorship.

I'm liking this. This is a strategy I recently decided to adopt - I mean the job changing.
I am naturally very "loyal" and also not necessarily motivated by money, I have taken pay cuts to be in a role that I prefered... If I enjoy my work and I like the culture and I'm respected, then I can stay put for a long while in one company.

Recently I got a new manager at work and the dude who at the point knew little about the work/product started questioning my work and made some very unjustified disparaging remarks...I was quite shocked. I always put in my best and never in my whole life has my output been unsatisfactory. I just imagined that this human can wake up and give me a bad performance review and I'll be asked to leave., this is how they will stain my white ..

That weekend, I edited my CV (and kept updating/tweaking it almost weekly ) and started some courses I had been procrastinating. Within a month I had a number of interviews scheduled and accepted an offer (Lesson here for me is that once you have that UK experience you lacked initially, you will become more appealing in the market, so for those saying sponsorship limits you to one employer...I say only if you let it)

Also I quietly quit - I never take my laptop home again....I used to come in up to 30mins before official time and stay late to finish up sometimes....now I walk in like other ppl by 9 or 9.15 sef and 4.50pm I pack my bag...no time
I have never called in sick...I plan to be sick next week or upper, afterall everyone is coughing amd sneezing

I realised that I achieved a lot in 6 weeks because I was angry, now I want that to be my default status - always "angry" and looking for the next best thing and putting needs first.

If I may ask, why did you move to a lower band?

I work with an international organization in Nigeria. Left Canada few years back. And I will tell you now that while healthcare isn't really strong in Nigeria, you can have access to doctors, nurses and health centre easily more than you can in Canada. It's also cheap. Some people prefer to fly home for surgery because of the expense.

I'm also currently in Canada for a conference. Need I tell you I can't even wait to leave already by next week.

Hello house pls I need advice my father in-law burial is Jan next year and my hubby is insisting that I have to travel for the ceremony since he is the first son, that I need to be there .
my problem now is I started a new job in September and my confirmation is Feb next year. I don't have leave till March next year when the new leave beginnings . I am thinking of how to talk to my manager about it, if she will agree and give me part of my leave in Jan or I take some days without pay. I am confused. kindly advice pls. Thank u

Have got my amex card sometimes ago now and recently spent around £500. Wanna pay back and something came to my mind like instead of paying directly using my Lloyds, can't I use my GTBANK master card. It'd be cheaper.

But I don't know if it makes sense cos I'm still new to the whole stuff.
Anyone with adequate knowledge of this should please educate me. Thanks

Got married 2yrs ago and we have a beautiful daughter, she has this dream of studying in Canada and I support her dream.

Our immigration consultant recommend she apply alone to increase chances that i and our daughter can join her later.

Now visa is out and she will be travelling next month. I have read numerous stories about how women change when they travel out.

Should I be worried?

I have switched from Student Visa to work visa and notified my uni about the change. They have also notified UKVI they are no longer my sponsor.

I wanted to ask, can my dependent still use his student dependent brp to enter UK? Is his BRP still valid even after uni withdraws sponsorship? He's planning to come next month to switch his visa status and live in the UK permanently.

I am not an expert in this area but the outcome you got is worrisome because I applied for an AMEX CC few mins ago and got approved. I do not pay utility bills but I am on the electoral register, I have a full-time employment and I have been in the UK for less than 2years. Stating this just for you to rule out the possibility of you being rejected because of bills. I hope you get all the help you need.
