Did you leave Canada with a Canadian passport or you did not? I just want to check something Bksense: I work with an international organization in Nigeria. Left Canada few years back. And I will tell you now that while healthcare isn't really strong in Nigeria, you can have access to doctors, nurses and health centre easily more than you can in Canada. It's also cheap. Some people prefer to fly home for surgery because of the expense.
I'm also currently in Canada for a conference. Need I tell you I can't even wait to leave already by next week. |

Nothing really but if you have your Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) it means that you're not on the leash of any employer who sponsored your work visa and so you can travel as much as you want. But in a case where you are sponsored for the work visa and you've not clocked a year on the visa but you want to leave work to travel for an occasion that can be avoided, then you stand the risk of your employer feeling unsatisfied with your employment. dustydee: Please can you explain what difference the ILR make in this situation? I am curious to know as I have no clue. I will appreciate if you explain so we can learn. Thanks. |

Have got my amex card sometimes ago now and recently spent around £500. Wanna pay back and something came to my mind like instead of paying directly using my Lloyds, can't I use my GTBANK master card. It'd be cheaper.
But I don't know if it makes sense cos I'm still new to the whole stuff. Anyone with adequate knowledge of this should please educate me. Thanks |

Nice one but always stuff the chicken with either mashed potatoe mixed with spices and line the oven tray with baking sheet and foil then slice onions, fresh pepper and tomatoes to provide moisture to the chicken when roasting. It will come out better. |

Should I be worried? |

You need to add him as your dependent on the new visa route you are on. Congratulations on the switch, please can I PM you on how you went about it? CheesyTee: Hello house,
I have switched from Student Visa to work visa and notified my uni about the change. They have also notified UKVI they are no longer my sponsor.
I wanted to ask, can my dependent still use his student dependent brp to enter UK? Is his BRP still valid even after uni withdraws sponsorship? He's planning to come next month to switch his visa status and live in the UK permanently.
Thank you. |

Many did not understand his tweet - he didn't say after marriage you shouldn't dye your hair but said the chances are slim when single and you dye your hair [quote author=Antoeni post=118470939]A Nigerian doctor, popularly known on Twitter as @drpenking, is of the opinion that no serious-minded man sees a future with a woman with dyed hair. According to @drpenking who took to Twitter to share his opinion, no man will approach a woman with dyed hair with serious intentions because there’s a stereotype attached to coloured hair. Speaking about women who dye their hair green, gold and other bold colours, the doctor said men don’t want to marry such women. He tweeted, https://twitter.com/drpenking/status/1592960386806210560?t=vqqwvaih3cEonmCeqs1gzg&s=19The tweet has however elicited different reactions online as many disagreed with his stance. Those hoarding the Naira have an option to change them to dollars (which would spike the demand and increase the rate) but what happens to the BDC guys who are also hoarding the dollars? They can't take all that stash to the bank cos of the CBN regulations on deposits ...so these two set of guys are now in a fix. The BDC guys or those with old dollars now want to flush them out but also weary of how to deposit the funds in the bank. ibrahimabba7: https://dailytrust.com/naira-redesign-dollar-may-crash-to-n200-efcc-chairman |

Can folks above 40 years open a LISA account? Solumtoya: One more thing, please forgive my too much talk.
Please open a Lifetime ISA, and fund it with at least £1. Do it now and I will try and explain.
CONS: You can't take your money out of it without a 25% penalty unless you're retiring or paying for your first home or leaving the Country permanently, I think
PROS: Government gives you a 25% bonus up to £4,000 contribution. So if a Husband and wife put £4k each in March, they get £2k. If they put another £4k each in May (which is a new year), they get another £2k. So, in a space of few months, they just got £4,000 that they can use for their first home or retirement. Depending on your provider, you might even get more interests outside the 25%.
Now, why I say you should open it NOW: You can't use funds from your LISA for your first home if the account has not been active for up to 1 year. So if you wait and start your LISA few months before your house purchase, you can't use the funds cos it won't be up to a year.
You don't risk so much, which is why I said put £1 or more and don't wait till you "haff balance" so the 1 year starts counting. Secondly, even if you change your mind and want your money back, the 25% penalty is almost the same 25% the Government gave you, remember? Of course it's more (Mathematics). |

Ooh I get it now. Some one also suggested using Royal Mail redirect service to preserve old address but get mails delivered at new address, as a way around this. Emmyk: Lol. I wanted to do the right thing.
Meanwhile, our old apartment is only 3 minutes walk away from our new one. I was initially going to the old apartment, to check if there are any mails for us, but it's stressful checking every other time. So, I just kuku updated all my addresses to the new apartment.
And, oh, the points that dropped on Experian was due to the change of address I did on their platform. It took another credit report to show I was no longer on the electoral roll, which equally dropped more points on Experian and Transunion - these are the ones I check. |

I think depending on when you re-enrolled and when your name is actually published by the electoral officer... there might be delays with the credit bureau recording it. But why did you update it that soon? Emmyk: I'd to do this, after 7 months of being on the electoral register as we changed apartments. A day or two later, Experian took out about 30 points from my credit score.
I've re-enrolled at our new apartment, but it doesn't get updated on credit history that soon.
So, my credit reports across platforms now show I'm not registered on the electoral register. |

Oga go and study the bible, pray and upskill yourself. All these running upandan to church won't help. God would bless those who got something doing. Lastly be patient and pray with your wife, stop putting her on the spot. pikomamamusicwo: Good pm niranlanders, how una dey?
I married very early, that Is five years ago, immediately i started working. Immediately we gave Birth to our first child, I was sacked from my place of work in a mysterious way. All our house equipment was sold, we left a comfortable apartment to a single room.
At a time, I was doing menial jobs just for us to feed. One day, in the process of seeking for solution to get my job back, I got to a church, and the pastor asked me to come with my wife, which I did, to my surprise, the pastor asked my wife, why are you afraid for your husband to have money? You are thinking if he makes money he will marry other women, he said pls pray for your husband to succeed, he is bigger than this.
And he asked my wife to come back for deliverance, but she refused.
Secondily, I went to another place, a spirituallist, and a female, she said I married wrongly, that the girl I was supposed to marry I missed it. She said I should come with my wife, and I did, she said my wife has another spirit, that she feels the marriage will not last...but till today, nothing I put hand dey work, most times we live together but never discuss together, we just live like strangers at home, and most time I regret getting married. I don't really know what to do now, I can't support my parents like before, they are not happy with me...
pls I need advice, prayers and support. |
