Op..I've stared your list for 30 minutes and used magnifying glass to examine it propa propa, I can't still find the Supra in there.

Ah well....its all good. I own a toyota pathfinder though. I just use it on weekends, so my unicorn can get her rest.
Religion / Re: David Oyedepo & Oyakhilome Are The Richest Pastors In The World (Top 10) by billy187(m): 7:05pm On Oct 08, 2014
There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with a pastor being rich. Go read matthew 6: 33. There is also nothung wrong with the shepard depending on his flock at times.

However, there is a catch. If the pastor does not feed his flock, and knowingly turns his eyes away from those in need to go swim in his gold, that is terribly wrong. The apostles collected money and SHARED it amoung the poor. Also the Bible says however causes my children to go astray, it's better for him to tie and grinding stone to his neck and jump into the sea!!

All those pastors that are indirectly increasing the number of atheists with their greedy actions should go tie a grindstone to their neck ( or maybe a keke napep!) and jump into the sea, then advise themselves!

I'm out!

How does it sound? In Spank’s words:
“Unmuffled, straight-though big bore
exhaust designed by Basset, because
loud pipes save lives and you’ll need to
drown out the sound of the Earth crying
every time you stomp the throttle that
controls your S&S ‘bug-sprayer’
carburetor.”

That cracked me up! If I ever buy it, its a must to drive right by Greenpeace...during a convention!!

In primary school, one of my mates always got picked up in a 1971ish toyota crown wagon. Needless to say, that car got lots of stares from us.

I was about to complain about the lack of a supra or even the 1980s corolla Ae86....but then the presence of the 2000gt does that some justice.

That aside, the other toyota's that i love have no business on this list. Cars like the 1990 camry and cressida and the 1985 corolla sedan: y'noe where I'm heading at. Its more of a personal thing.

Gotta love these history write ups from Cityng. Keep 'em coming!

ps: A stretch prius!! What the...?

Last time I checked, the peugeot BRAND was doing quite well.

You forgot Pontiac! Though they are responsible for blasphemies such as the aztek; they created classics like the Gto and the Trans Am.
I really loved their aggressive approach to design ('cept the aztek)However, the '90s and '00 model interior quality were just.....terrible!

there's a Toyota supra close to my mechanics workshop,a shop that deals on Japanese cars, I approached the owner of the shop, if the supra was for sale, he said NO...it's been there for a while, grounded. Auto tranny...

If I were you, i'd have returned that night with a crowbar and a tow truck! lol!

You are my man the 1985 benz sec and Toyota supra 1993-96 are the cars I must own. My uncle's friend/neighbour still use a BMW 525 MY 1986 THAT THE AC STILL WORKS. euro cars I still don't know the stuff they are made of.

Went down to pay my uncle a visit last weekend. He has finally sold off his beamer **sob**.

I guess our tastes are quite similiar!! Apart from the mercedes sec, I just love the supra; despite the fact i'm not a toyota fan. I'm really dissapointed there's no true descendant to fill its shoes yet. Well, maybe except the gt86; to some extent.

You Sir are an astute observer.

The Isetta pictured there is the "limo" version grin

They typically only have the front "death trap" doors grin

I totally have to drive that isetta before I die! Its kinda got some charm about it.

Is 'death trap' the trade name of that kind of door or a vague reminder of what will happen after a head on collision with an austin mini? loool!

These pics bring lots of memories. When I was a kid, my uncle bought a five series ,the E12. (thats the 70s five series, right?) I and my sisters usually fought to sit in the front seat; y'noe , to feel that we have 'reached.' Needless to say, I often won. When I visited my uncle about a year ago; it was still there ...but on cinder blocks. He told me it runs though.

The cedi is gaining ground now, might as well look into restoring the ol' beamer- if i dont get a 1989ish benz w126 sec, my dream car!

You gotta love that isdetta though (thats how you spell it, right?) Didnt know it came with back doors.

Religion / Re: What Man Of God Is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome - Femi Aribisala by billy187(m): 4:58pm On Sep 21, 2014
I usually prefer sitting back and observing such debate. However in this case, i'd chip in something, especially concerning the entire "touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm thingy"

Lets look at matthew 7v 15-20
"Beware of false prophets, which come
to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly
they are ravening wolves. [16] Ye shall
know them by their fruits . Do men
gather grapes of thorns, or figs of
thistles? [17] Even so every good tree
bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt
tree bringeth forth evil fruit. [18] A
good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit,
neither can a corrupt tree bring forth
good fruit. [19] Every tree that bringeth
not forth good fruit is hewn down, and
cast into the fire. [20] Wherefore by
their fruits ye shall know them ."

The hebrew word ' judge' as quoted all too many times here denotes, " to separate,
select, choose; hence, to determine,
and so to judge, pronounce
judgment ." This means to outrightly condemn someone thus determine his or her destiny. We as christians are to avoid this. It does not
mean, however, that we must refrain
from observing others and forming
opinions about the validity of their
profession of faith. As Christ himself warned of false prophets using his name it is only expedient of us to pick out such 'men of God' and avoid them like ebola! After all the bible in matthew 10:17 says we should be as shrewd as serpents and as innocent as doves.

“He who justifies the wicked, and he
who condemns the just, both of them
alike are an abomination to the
LORD” (Proverbs 17:15) Need I say more?

This all aside I think the best we all take time and pray for the Oyakilhome family- no family must go though this!

CityNG: Nice, very nice.

I have a 67 and a 72, pic sbelow.

The car you featured is very special. It's a regular 250 that the factory installed a 4.5 liter engine instead of the 2.5 liter engine that it would have normally came with.

Are you the owner?

It's nice to finally see real autoists who appreciate real car instead of the latest whizzbang plastic crapola on the market grin

Gotta love that interior though. Its vinyl, right? Had a similiar interior on our '89 suburban, though not half as classy.

Hmmm....first wahala. I think it was a loose battery terminal connection in my Ford Focus approximately 120secs after I brought her home! Everything shut down and I kinda panicked. Fortunately tightening things up fixed the problem! Apart from a bad battery, she hasnt given me much problem since.
Car Talk / Re: Why You Should Use 5w-20 , 5w-30 Engine Oils For Cars Between 2000-2014 by billy187(m): 8:22pm On Sep 16, 2014
CityNG:

Refer to your owners manual or search online for your cars owners manual.

The manual will give a range of oil weights that is acceptable.

Totally did, however my manual recommends 5w-20 motorcraft only. Went on the net to find out why and I noticed it has something to do with tightened regulations for that time. Anyways, the car is Canada specced. From the little I know living in Montana, it gets hideously cold up there!
Car Talk / Re: Why You Should Use 5w-20 , 5w-30 Engine Oils For Cars Between 2000-2014 by billy187(m): 7:07am On Sep 16, 2014
Hello there! nice write up! I was wondering if you could help me out. Y'see, my main commuter, an 11 year old ford focus is supposed to run on 5w-20. However, due to age and location factor, it was recommended i use a thicker oil by everyone i met. Coupled with the fact that 5w- 20 or even 5w-30 is almost impossible to find here in Ghana ( spent an entire day looking for some!), i finally resorted to semi synthetic 10w-40. I'll want to ask, is 10w-40 for an 11 year old 5w-20 specced car suitable? Or its overkill?

An E36? I'm quite sure it ran from 1991-1999ish .. it just couldnt be a 2000+ model. Its price; $2500.. ...seems quite normal to me. Take a pic of the engine bay if possible.

Hmmm...i normally dont like giving specific answers to these questions- so I usually keep silent....But in this case, avoid the Rav4 .Avoid it like HELL. they've got this trans problem creeping up after some point. That all aside the lexus rx300 is a nicer car, when you take away premium on the luxury margue, and the poorer fuel economy.

But then, ive not even been to nigeria before.....if transmissions are cheaper than indomie there feel free to go for the rav4

Ahuitzotl: Then its dead weight pretty much defeats the entire purpose of a fast ride if its built for tank warfare?,innit?.Heavier armoured SuVs example Conquest knight are pretty much quicker and luxurious yet start under 300,000$ price range. This is a total rip-off....no offence
I dont think the civilian 6*6 was designed for warfare...its kinda for transversing terrible terrain in comfort and ease--and intimidating your neigbours!(*wink!)

On road you might beat it in a Pilot....however, take the race offroad and the 6*6 will be loong gone before (or if) your car finds traction. That notwithstanding ,7secs is worringly fast for a vehicle if that size on or off road! You gotta see the top gear review understand this beast!!

p.s.: Last time I checked the Conquest Knight was 400000 (or$625000?)

I don't see anything wrong with your friend driving a big'ish' car like a highlander. If he can afford it, why not?

If he ends up driving a car he does not desire, odds are that he'll never really love that car which can translate into poor maintenance.

At 21 I drove a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban! Go google a pic of that suv...its almost twice as large as a Highlander!! .....let ur bro follow his heart!

Cheers!
Religion / Re: EBOLA Is Manufactured By Satan – T.B. JOSHUA by billy187(m): 1:11am On Aug 23, 2014
Hmmmm.....had to scroll back up to make sure i was in the religious thread......the disses being exchanged are out of this world! Well, im not a fan of Tb Joshua; since i'm in Ghana i've hardly researched on him to ascertain whether he is a True Man of God. so im kinda on the wall here
However, Matthew 7:16 goes, By their fruit you will recognize them. I would advise y'all to look unbiasedly into the gentleman's life and if his fruit is bad:avoid him like the plague! If otherwise, as we in Ghana will say 'tie his cloth to yours!!'
God bless!!

Ps: An after thought; with all the Miracle workers in west africa, especially Naija couldnt this ebola thing been banished to its 'source' long ago before all these casualities? Or?
Car Talk / Re: Are Prices On Olx Auto's For Real? by billy187(m): 8:10am On Aug 21, 2014
Pluslargent: pray tell billy, can you recommend any such sites..i guess i will just bid for what meets my grade and make sure i dont part with nothing...

Well, I wont be able to help with the exact site as i am based in Ghana. My advice was based on the fact both Nigerian and Ghanaian auto markets are extremely similiar; with both local and foreign scammers all involved. Can you believe naija tricksters have overflowed onto the online market here?

A genuine person will usually post an ad in many sites so its more a question of finding ads than sites. To make sure the owner didnt gain the car through a robbery make sure all documents are valid. If nigeria has a database to check such things make sure to fully utilise it! cheers!

ps.....a couple of cars are for sale in the autos section here.....give that a look too!
Car Talk / Re: Are Prices On Olx Auto's For Real? by billy187(m): 2:29pm On Aug 20, 2014
Pluslargent: Thanks guys..your advice has been very helpfull..i guess i will just shop elsewhere

It not all bleak news though.....I got my present car off an online site at a ridiculously good price about a year ago.....and its been pretty reliable so far! You dont have entirely avoid olx like the plague, just know the rules of the game before playing it! Cheers!

However, if a bullion van crashes into my house today, I'd either get me a Telsa Model s performance or the 2015 Dodge Charger srt Hellcat; the fastest production 4 door sedan in the history of ever. Then, i'll ride into the horizon...cackling maniaclly!

Car Talk / Re: Are Prices On Olx Auto's For Real? by billy187(m): 11:13am On Aug 20, 2014
Most... if not all the cars and prices there are totally real....as long as you believe in unicorns and fairytales.

From what I know they kind of ask for some 5-50% deposit site unseen to 'gurantee' you the car. As soon as you pay, they vanish into fairytale land!

When buying from such sites, not a kobo is to change hands until you actually SEE the car and test drive it. Anyone that suggests otherwise is out to dupe you!!

hope this helps!

well, its commonly found in most, if not all drug stores, The concentration does not really matter, as the highest u'll get (like 80%) is safe to use as well
