PoliticsRe: Next Level Lies: From The Desk Of Reno Omokri The Master Of Facts. by bixton(m): 8:44pm On Nov 18, 2018
Reno is just pained. I wonder why he is not an official member of the campaign team of Atiku-Obi?

If Atiku was a presidential aspirant under a different party it would be understandable for him to campaign.

But since he's the presidential aspirant of the PDP, I think the PDP should tell Nigerians what they did with the nation's resources for 16 years?.......

Brandishing a campaign document is an ailment. It just proves that PDP is a party that lacks ideologies.

Eammy:
Good question. Nitel generate less revenue when compared to NNPC. However the privatised coys are now generating hundreds of whatever Nitel used to generate.

How much of the revenue generated by NNPC is accounted for in our national budget? NNPC deduct it's operating costs from revenue before reporting to the federation account. Who reviews the operating costs to confirm that it is not over deducted? Nobody. Who reviews their subsidy payments? Nobody. Have you wondered why their audited accounts have not been signed since 2011? I think what we should do is to ensure that the company is sold to the right people.

Till we set our priorities right we are far attaining greater heights.
Who will ensure at the bold?
It's simply obvious Atiku is in the business of selling things and not creating anything.

Why sell something that's of no use ?
Why don't he just gift it.........
Let him think of other ways of generating revenue because the ones they sold below market value we can't tell where and what they used the money for

For the NSE listed ones their financial statements are available for all to see . No doubt some failed but NNPC is a loss making enterprise and I’m sure you know that state enterprises are hardly profitable in the Nigerian realm. I’m still not sure why NNPC was established but if it was setup as a national oil company as was done in Netherlands , Italy , France , Saudi Arabia ... then it has failed . The government of these countries have for long reduced their interests in their national oil companies . In addition I’ve held informal discussions with two ex CEO ‘s of NNPC independently years apart and they both told me NNPC is not working and filled with multiple issues along with every government ( since the military era ) interfering with its operations .

I really want Nigeria to work but it appears most Nigerians share uncommon visions and desires
NNPC is a loss caused by who?
The same people willing to sell it off, I guess?
Do you know how many persons were given licenses to build new refineries in Nigerian during the 16 years of PDP ?
Do you know what made it impossible for private persons who got licenses then to build even when the economy was good as they claimed then?
Do you know why they all preferred to claim to lift petroleum products just to receive subsidy payments?
Do you really know the reason why the ajaokuta steel is still a mirage and not functioning?

If Atiku prefers to unbundled the NNPC if elected, do you not think he should be smart enough to unbundled Aso rock?

What do you think will occur when he becomes the head ?

I'm beginning to understand now why OBJ was not in good terms with him for so long and why he wrote in his book that Atiku's background has lots of secrecy.

Don't talk about the Chinese model. China does not have the bureaucratic, financial, and efficiency constraints we have.

Electricity generation is no longer a government-only affair. PDP governments saw the waste and inefficiency of using government money for projects and decided to liberalize the sector. His promise is not empty as it relies on private-sector led investment.

Can you explain how the liberalization of the various sector has added to the growth of the Nigerian economy?

The refinery are they functioning? If no, what sense does it make to keep it and spend billions of dollars maintaining something that is still not functioning
Atiku as VP for 8 years did not bring in any business into Nigeria.
Atiku did not get foreign partners to come build refineries or invest in the oil and gas sector.

All he did and interested in is to buy off Nigerian companies at way unreasonable prices through cronies and proxies and share the spoils.
If his first agenda towards selling NNPC if elected then it shows he lacks any sound economic policy to grow Nigeria.
I think he belongs to the sets of Nigerians who would rather prefer to bleed Nigeria dry rather than to give her.

Some companies are in a bad shape and may not do well after an acquisition. A good number of the privatised companies are doing well. How does the present state of NNPC profit you as an individual ? The present southern sun hotel use to be a government owned hotel but was privatised and is in a much better state. Oando and forte oil were also privatised government owned enterprises. NNPC of today is not working and not profitable . A working NNPC should be able to compete with aramco, Agip , Total , BP and many more . It’s up to you if you like things the way they are but I can assure you that Nigeria is lagging behind in so many areas and the earlier we do away with strategies that are not working the better . Nigeria is too complex as a country with enormous challenges far beyond the mental capabilities of Buhari and I’d wish that the best candidate wins irrespective of the candidate’s party
Interesting indeed.
Please how did you measure the positive growth of the companies already privatized to get that conclusion?
Just because a man has pot belly, drives a rolls royce, lives in a 4 storey building means all is okay about him.

How many countries do you know that will sell their government owned companies to private citizens all in the name of privatization?
Those who sold the electricity discos, how far have the fake companies improved the light situation; I'm sure you'll blame PMB for that.
The only thing Atiku knows is probably how to privatize government companies.
I think the best thing he should do is to privatize Aso rock given that he wins the election.

I see a landing and the 2nd flight of stairs protuding into the groundfloor living room. Exactly where the TV is. It makes no sense to have it protude like that unless u want it like that.

The landing will probably be at about 2m from the floor. TV position is under the 2nd flight.

This reminds me of a site i visited in Abuja. The interior of the semi detached duplex was redesigned on site to be a hotel. They only forgot the second flight of stairs. I just followed a friend who did the electrical design. He dashed me 10k for saving him after calling his attention to it.
I think its an over site not checked except its some form of design.
If the 2nd flight is to remain the way it is then he ought to expand the width of the stairs from the ground floor.

yak:
any reason for the last paragraph?
please explain to novices like me
The most important thing about any building is in the foundation when done properly.
Every structure designed comes with its loads.
Loads are transferred from the apex of a building to its foundation.
The reason behind the last paragraph is to ensure that the sub structure can be able to carry the load of the super structure. Though all loads are believed to be uniformly distributed since members are connected.

Certain persons tend to use solid blocks for sub structure and hollow for super structure. The last paragraph also is partly one of such reasons.

That does not mean one cannot maintain the same type/quality of blocks from sub structure to super structure.

The source also described the positions of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SFG) and that of the Speaker of House of Representatives that the PDP promised the Southwest as uncertain, stressing that it’s only if the PDP wins the Presidency that that can be fulfilled.

SGF can go to the west ,no argument about that. But SP I strongly doubt, because I keep asking what's Saraki's take on it and his deputy? Will they now be relegated to the bench as members of the house? grin grin

Speaking with our correspondent on the telephone on Friday, Ologbondiyan said, “Nigerians are not talking about who occupies certain positions. They are interested in who can give them power and make ease of doing business available.

Having said that, it’s important to state that the PDP is interested in the value of life. The PDP is interested in the equitable distribution of wealth in the nation. The PDP is interested in making life better for the average Nigerian.

If this is true, the PDP will not be the opposition now. This statement is deceitful.
The PDP is only interested in coming to power to go back the old ways of doing business.

Referring to this phrase "mixing 2 different types of sand" , Can you kindly list the 2 different types of sand you mix ?

Also reading one of Spyder's numerous posts, I saw a place He made use of only 6-inch Block to build an entire building. Though he made a very important reason why he used that instead of 9-inches for Foundation and 6-inches for the rest.

Like you said earlier, he's on NL following the comments. You'll see that a couple of persons have dropped suggestions based on its design. He should be able to deduce it and I'm sure not everyone's comnent is completely out of place.

It's very simple.
Let him make the necessary adjustments on the ground floor.
Then he can do same on the upper floor and try to create a lobby/passage to access any room and be off direct eye sight.

It all depends on the type of sharp sand in your area.
For my clients who incorporated moulding of blocks as part of my work in the construction work I do;
For a particular type of sand
9"........25/32 (foundation/upper level)
6".........30/40 (same)

When I'm mixing 2 different types of sand.
9".........30/35
6".........35/45.

What is the recommended number of Blocks per bag ?

Since we would be Molding, we want it very strong. I have heard and read lots of mixed figures such as 35-Blocks, 40-Blocks and some even say 50-Blocks per Bag.

We might be low on Funds BUT that doesn't mean we are willing to Compromise on Quality.

Also what's the recommended way of paying Bricklayers and Block Molders - is it per block (with regards to bricklayer) or per bag (with regards to block Molder) ?

Location is Atan Ota, in Ogun state

Abeg experienced Heads should stone me a Response quick quick.

thanks
It all boils down to the properties of the aggregate materials used to achieve that number per bag and still maintain the desirable strength of the block.

Every number you hear is correct and achievable given that the moulder understands the job to be done.
Be it 6" or 9", ensure that the blocks moulded for foundation(sub structure) is less in quantity to that used for super structure per bag.
