Hi all, I need your advice. I work for an online university that pays USD equivalent 230,000 as per today's aboki exchange rate. Now, just recently my immediate supervisor was sacked and replaced by an Indian lady who is making the work so difficult to the extent that I hate remembering work. I have been in this job for close to 5 years and I have never felt this bad about the job. Right now I feel like quitting and focusing on my other hustle, although this will mean halving my monthly income. Anyone with a similar experience to share, or advice to give?

Bro I'm job hunting, can you link me up to this job?

Difference BTW kemi and Diezani madueke..
One resigned and went to court while the latter was sacked and ran away to another country.
Now that kemi is settled... Pls my igbó brothers should call that frog eyes looking Looter Diezani madueke to come and return our money......
Madueke, come. Back and return our oil money....

Your first paragraph made lots of sense

But then your hate for Igbos didn't let you even know Diezani is from Bayelsa state, married to a Rivers state man (Gov Wike said Rivers people are not Igbos).

3. HSE (Health safety n environmental management (HSE 1&2) / Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/HSE Levels)

so guys I need ur input on which one is really needed now in the employment market.

thanks

You're obviously a corps member, forget all these courses and tech a hard skill, preferably tech skill.

Worst still, all these organisations certifying these courses are barely recognized. Speaking from experience.

I did.
2006 I was offered a job without writing any test, interview or screening.

It was an oil company in PH(NAOC).
My then girlfriend did the connection for me.
Her dad was a director in the same organisation.
Her brother was a top personnel in HR.
Unfortunately out of fear of Niger Delta militancy and kidnapping of oil workers back then,I rejected the job.
Well,for good 3 years,I suffered it!

Please sir, connect me na if possible...I have oil and gas experience and Certifications/training already
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Finally Got A Job Through A Nairalander After Months Of Job Hunting. by blaze83(m): 2:51pm On Mar 20, 2021
Ghostty:
Hello guys
Good morning to you all.

Remember this thread I created sometime last year?

https://www.nairaland.com/5448693/accept-job-offer-continue-job

Well as God would have it, a Nairalander whose moniker is very popular on here(Wouldn't mention for obvious reasons) reached out to me and asked me to send my CV to his email address for review.

At first, I was reluctant and didn't want to send the CV considering he's always not serious with his posts and also a troll here or so I thought. But on a second thought I decided to give it a try. Few days later, he sent an email requesting that I meet him at a particular address the following day on the Island here in Lagos.

The following day I got to the address, it was actually an office complex with the company occupying about 6 floors in the entire building. I met with the Nairalander, we discussed at length and in the end he asked me when I would love to resume.

I later got to know he is the General Manager, Group Learning and Human Resources for the Company(A Privately owned Oil Firm) after resumption.

Fams, today I'm gainfully employed with a pay four times bigger than what the Chinese company had earlier offered me in my previous thread.

I want to use this medium to thank Seun Osewa and most especially God for sending an helper my way when I thought all hopes was lost. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

PS: Some Nairalanders are super rich and connected guys, believe me. Learn to respect people's opinion on here as you may not know who you're dealing with. For those who are still searching for jobs, please do not stop believing as your breakthrough is closer than you know. Thank you.

Modified:

I know you would most likely see this Sir. May God continually bless you, guide and protect you. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart, God bless you. Amen!

Congratulations.

May the God that did it for you do it for me as well. I'm also job hunting after graduating since 2017 as well. It's not easy at all. My dad died this month with the burial slated for 22 next month, it hurts that I can barely feed myself from the Volunteer job of 15k I'm doing at present let alone contribute a dime to my dad's burial plans.

Anyways I hope something positive is done to correct what the present state of tinapa is now!

We started dating last year December, we are cool with each other, we try as much as possible to avoid quarrels.. I noticed something about my girl, everytime she meets a new guy, she tells me about it whenever we chat or talk on phone..

Pls just kind of curious, what could b my girl motive to always tell me about every new guy that meets her and exchange contacts with her..

Any bashing is welcomed, na normal vibes for here as long as I get ur opinions..

My ex did same when we started dating and the going was good, she sometimes went as far as giving me the guys' numbers to call them and warn them off (Of course, I never went that far as calling a fellow guy to warn them off my girl). She tells me literally everything these guys tells her and some of the guys in question know me by name sef.

I knew I'd lost her when she started finding it hard to tell me about new guys she met.

What I'm saying in a nutshell is your girl is very open to you and wants to gain your trust and I'd advise you do same. She likes you so much man.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I'm Confused About The Grade Level I Was Given For A Federal Government Job by blaze83(m): 10:46pm On Feb 22, 2021
usman3688:
Hello everyone, please I need your opinion on this issues. I got an employment letter for federal government job I interviewed for last year. During the interview the panel actually told me I am way too qualified for the position they are interviewing me for to which I replied them I will take the offer as long as I can progress and grow through the ranks and they told me that they loved my reply that that was what they were expecting me to say.

Today, I received a mail containing my appointment letter and I see the gave me grade level 3 step 2. Although it is a newly commissioned government agency and I am a university graduate with about 5 years work experience. Now I am confused with the grade level I am being offered.

Secondary, I currently have another appointment letter with a private company lacated in the north east, the salary is good with allowance and the working condition is not so bad, I would have loved to take that offer but the location is not favorable to me as my family is scattered between the north west and south west so going to the north east to work will be a difficult thing for me.

I'll be glad if I could get your opinions on this, I don't know how much the Government job would pay yet.

Bro please can you link me to the North East job? I'm a graduate
Health / Re: Why Do Nigerian Dentists Always Suggest Extraction? by blaze83(m): 6:02am On Jan 10, 2021
The dentist I went to years ago sha told me extraction was the last option sha...he suggested something like treating the cavity and all that, I was happy that I won't lose a tooth till he told me the bill was 18k.

I kukuma paid him 4K to have the tooth removed.

So I guess extraction is the cheapest option hence why they always recommend that.

Career / Re: How Long Did It Take You To Get A Job After You Graduated From The University? by blaze83(m): 4:10pm On Dec 08, 2020
Went for NYSC in April 2018, and was serving at the Engineering faculty of University of Calabar(Chemical Engineering department). I served my HOD diligently, hoping they'd help me work to be retained as a Technologist at least as the faculty was barely two years old and there were lots of openings. At least 2 persons got employed into the faculty every month during my one year there.

After my NYSC in March 2019, I submitted my application letter to the VC through my HOD. Stayed back in Calabar for a few months before my rent almost expired, no show from Unical, was told they employed Cross-Riverians more or you have to be really connected from above to be considered. Meanwhile, I was applying for practically any role I came across during this time from secretary to marketer. Got one offer from Hotels.ng as a customer service agent(25k) in Ikot Ekpene, I couldn't take it even though I wanted to as I knew no one to stay with in Uyo and can't pay for house with 25k salary.

I moved back to my uncle's place where I usually spend semester holidays. He has a shop , so I help him in shop, get 5h daily feeding allowance I save plus extra money I add to goods when selling to customers. Was on this for 2-3months before I got a job as a GT in an Oil Servicing Coy in July. Salary jumped from NYSC 19.8k to over 150k with perks like a work laptop, relevant certifications and training, free lunch, HMO etc. It was a miracle as I didn't know anyone in the company. We were 10 GTs and 7 knew someone from within from what I later found out.

It was a contract job but I was very thankful to God and hoped some of us would be retained at least especially as I was always coming 2nd place in the company's periodic evaluation exercises, this I thought would make up for a lack of a godfather in the company besides God. Then, Covid-19 struck and everything scattered. During the lockdown, I used the laptop the coy gave us to learn Product Design and small data analysis using Python programming language (I was learning front-end web development during NYSC before Calabar boys broke into my house at Goldie road and stole the HP Envy M6 laptop I bought with my savings from school to learn web development during service year).

I have been applying for roles within the oil and gas with my one year oil and gas experience and also for Product Design roles. I haven't gotten any yet, but I'm very hopeful 2021 has a lot in store for me.

*So feel free to reach out to me if you have GT roles to fill or Product Design jobs to do or Junior HSE Officer positions to fill.

*I am also a land broker, I've been selling lands since my undergraduate days, so if you need genuine lands in/around FUTO, Obinze or Avu in Owerri, feel free to reach out. (Iamuchenna@yahoo.com)

Romance / Re: Please Help! I Have Over Dependent Girlfriend Relationship Is Demoralizing Me by blaze83(m): 1:52pm On Jul 22, 2020
Olamila:
*Let me not bore you guys with my relationship history but this girl is my first love, i met her while i was in school 300l. Ever since then i have always been there for her despite even having a low budget as student because I'm not from a wealthy home, even her parents has times10 more than my family. But despite that i try all i could to maintain my role in the relationship because i don't fancy myself asking anything from my girlfriend.

Before anything else i need to tell little about my girlfriend, she is beautiful and nice. Almost every guy wants to woo her and all of that. Aside of that my girlfriend is very stingy to me, she can never allow her anything be in my possession, she doesn't have this idea that we could end up one day though she will always say something close to it only during fun time. But when she is at her leisures she will say how she fancy how husband to be and all of that which i no I'm not the person she could had been referring to. That not even my major issue.

She always been cruel when she asks me for anything and i refuse to give her maybe i don't have or just don't see needs to do so.
I also discovered that most of our fun times comes immediately money enters my hand. Because i remember when i was in school my first 800k i made was finished and squandered with her, i haven't dated anyother or even have another girl since i met her. Because i try to make her feel comfortable because i no how many guys wish her to be with her. So secondly i made another 1m i squandered it with her too. But when this money just finish guyz i always see hell in her. This was the ups an downs i was experiencing till i finished my school with her. It was a shame for me upon the money i made in school i graduated with zero account looking for money for my law school. I wasn't fortunate to get any help so i sat back to Hustle. Then i was begging looking for helper to assist me when i saw one big opportunity that i need to take but it the opportunity required money as my account was bleeding zero. I begged everyone including my girlfriend but she told me she doesn't have even if she happened to get money for me i will pay her interest. This words alone made me cry, did you no instead of helping me out she told me I'm not the only one that needs help she also need to invest on her self which she was right i believe her. She later invested her money in one fraudulent sheme which she lost the money.

FastTrack to what is happening now, i later got help from someone who offered me 50k and my mum 20k making it 70k i picked myself up and started my Hustle again. Within three months i made 800k again. All this times i was giving her update about my business and earnings. Could you imagine she had the gut to ask for money despite her behaviors. Because of my nature i don't believe someone's bad nature should change my own nature so i still sent her some money because i also no she is broke.

Since then i just forgot about what she did and all of those stuffs because my money kept coming and i don't keep grudges i keep taking care of her. Now i had issue with my business i want to fix something up i was also telling her. this girl went ahead to start asking me to send her money. I was really disappointed i protested because i noticed when i have money i become very careless. It seems money covers so many things.
I just need advice because i think it is time to let her go coz with her nature and type of girl it might end in tears for me. All she do is stay on social media, snap and post and look for who will send her money. No skills, i have begged her several times to look for something to be doing she refused and tells me how her dad won't allow her. She doesn't listen to me, always feel like boss when little money enter her hand. Guys i really love her but i think it is time to seek help because i will regret if this continues.
*

Bro me I'm interested in what kind of business you're into that you keep making 800k and 1m please...I'm to partner or invest.

THE TRUTH ABOUT syncrev careers aka pillars consults aka finpillinc.com.ng, or simply put, any training scheduled to hold in 2, Chemline house, Ikeja .... I got the same mail as you guys inviting me for a training, i came on nairaland but couldn't find substantial info to ascertain their genuity, so i decided to go. Guys, those people are very organized, like a proper interview setting, the interviews, the trainings, the environment, etc. honestly, you would not suspect a thing! i remember praying so hard that they call me back for the day2 training, lol, i was called, some weren't (lucky for them).
On our day 2 training, after spending hours listening to boring lectures, around 9pm, the so called Deputy MD came and congratulated us that we have been accepted to resume the job, she implored us to get training materials (for the job, since we would be reading a lot of books to go assignments and blah blah), for N4,800, which most of us did. the people that didn't pay were rejected. fast forward to that weekend when i received a text and a cal from them to come with my documents to process my offer letter... PAUSE: offer letter wey they never discuss salalry or job description gangan... i sha packed my docs and submitted.. that monday, the MD came and told us that entry-level for the job is N120,000, but we wey siddon never reach entry level, so we gats work hard to be able to earn that amount... hmmm, FINALLY FINALLY, the Deputy MD now came and started talking about being an employeepreneure, she said the company partners with various businesses paryicularly Neo-Life... in mi mind, HA! GNLD!!!!!!!!!! issokay, i remained calm... even if the job was genuine, shebi you would allow us collect offer letter first, and start working in your company for few months b4 you introduce us to your partners??... okay, she now said that we should pay 40k to register as a partner, hehehehehe.. she even added that the people that paid right there and then would be opportune to work directly with her in her office, come and see the way some stupid people jumped up and paid!... she later asked the rest of us that didn't jump up to go and visit the so called Head of operations to make financial commitment, issokay. when i got there i told him that shingbai i no get, i told him that since the company has employed me already, at the end of the month they should remove the 40k to reg me with GNLD and give me my change... guy stared at me for about 2 seconds before finally saying "oooookaaay"... that was the last time i stepped into the compound, and they no born them well make them call me back....those people that paid don't realize that syncrev has no job to offer, the koko is the GNLD business.

my advice: you can either stay at home and apply to proper jobs or hatch your business plans, or go work for syncrev and spend the next few months or years in servitude. bless!

Lol

Thanks boss, I sha didn't go.
