What u're doing doesn't look right to me. How are u sure in a bid to give out your baby in exchange for money, you won't end up giving the baby to ritualists. I have been following most of your posts right from when u put up your eggs for sale to surrogacy then this. My sister, pls look for another means of making money and don't endanger the life of an innocent child online. I beg you in the name of God. If your boyfriend is man enough to sleep with you without protection, he should be able to marry you. Don't do what u'll spend the rest of your life regretting. Am sure u've seen the number of posters on the ttc and ivf thread, I know for a truth, you don't wish to join us some day. |
Inwangobio, congrats on ur procedure. Wish you a very big fat positive this time around. That God who did mine will surely crown ur effort with success. My regards to ur wife. Saw ur missed calls, kpele. Having lots of missed calls these days seem to be part of the total package of nursing 2 men. E no easy but we thank God. My 2 small men are 2weeks today. Is God not wonderful? In another 2 wks, we will be celebrating one month. Lol. Thanks all for the beautiful prayers. Am confident I'll also log on very soon to congratulate each and everyone of you on thread cos this blessing will go round by the grace of God. Met a lady today in Georges hosp when I took my small men for 2weeks check up and she said, 'are u blendy77?' and I completed the sentence by adding 'of nairaland' and she smiled and said, I don't post on nairaland but I read all ur posts and am glad to say am in Georges today because of you. Hmmm, we didn't have time to talk cos I was called in almost immediately to see the Doc and when I came out, the lady was no longer inside the reception. This brings to mind the number of silent readers who read our posts and get encouraged. Know that u're not alone, join in encouraging someone on this forum when u get ur bfp. Don't just read and run away. All the best my people. I say a big welcome to all our newbies. Don't give up. Safe06, u're doing a good job. Keep it up. Baby dusts to all. |
Thks all for the goodwill messages and prayers. The God who did mine will answer all of us still in His waiting room by His grace. Don't give up. ShallomD, call Dr Emeka 08032011536 for the actual amount but be ready to spend approximately 950k-1m. |
A big thank you to all of u for the congratulatory messages. It is my ernest prayer that soon and very soon I will also log in here to tell all of you congratulations for the waves of BFP's that is about to flood this thread. That is how strong my faith is. I trust this God who did mine to answer all of us soon and we shall look back to this day to laugh at barreness. God is indeed faithful and I believe Him to honour His word in our lives. I know I will not celebrate alone this month because God is still on the throne. Baby dusts to all of us still in God's powerful waiting room waiting to transform to ante-natal rooms. One love peeps! |
Thanks a lot my Dear friends for these wonderful prayers. God is indeed faithful and we can only but give him all the glory. The boys are lovely to behold and those who have seen them on bb and fb can agree with me that our God is an awesome God for giving mankind this technology to assist people like us who have given up all hope of ever becoming a mother. God is wonderful. As I behold my myself in the faces of my Boys, I can only marvel and praise God as both of them seem like my replicas in male version. Will post their pics one of these days on this thread just to encourage us that ivf babies are normal babies like every other babies you see on the street. Psalm23, thanks for signing in just to congratulate me. I appreciate and like I said on fb, I trust this God to put a smile on your face and that of every woman on this thread still trusting Him for the fruit of the womb very soon. He did mine so I trust He has not retired yet, yours and every lady on this thread and the ttc thread still waiting on Him is just around the corner. Don't give up and don't loose hope. As the Lord tarries, there shall be none barren in the land so says His word. One love. We must all conquer this word called barreness by His grace. |
Emeka is God sent. When I was still undecided on where to have my babies, he encouraged me to use Georges since I did my antenatal there and also becos he will be there himself to ensure everythg goes well as his ivf patient. I thought of the money involved since my companies clinic doesn't refer patients there and we considered Georges. Despite the fact Dr Emeka is not a staff of Georges and won't be paid for any services rendered, he was there with me from my entering into the theatre and even did the stitches himself after he brought out the babies. Even my hubby was marvelled at the way he took charge to ensure everythg goes well. Am grateful I met this God sent Dr who will go the extra mile to make his patients happy. If u're still in doubt of who Emeka of Georges is, just call him to dicuss your case and you will know if he is the same as other ivf Doctors. |
Join me in thanking God as he has blessed us with a set of twin boys. |
How many bedrooms duplex is a wing? Is it both wings that is 55m or just a wing? |

@Ogbuebu, am trying to understand what you want me to edit. I'm only trying to make women see why surrogacy is better than adoption especially here in Nigeria. Our culture as Nigerians does not favor an adopted child compared to your child carried by a surrogate and I did that by narrating a true life story so pls how have I offended u? Most people are not aware that surrogacy is available in Nigeria. If you have followed my posts from the begining of this thread you will realize that I also attempted adoption and even considered surrogacy so can't demonlize it now because it didn't work. Its just a piece of advise for women to look more towards this area of surrogacy and my intention is not to slight anyone. If my post about surrogacy has offended you in anyway, please feel free to quote the annoying phrase and make it bold and I'll gladly delete it. N/B: my intention was never to generalize and assume what happened to my colleague will happen to everyone who adopted. No! Am only saying people should look at a better option especially where a woman has gone through hysterectomy or has one reason or the other that prohibits her uetrus from carrying a baby after several failed ivf. |
Ariso, you mustn't know the surrogate as they have anonymous. But there are cases where relatives and friends decides to be surrogate to help a loved one. In a such a case, you will definitely know yourselves but the ones hospital organize are anonymous but usually expensive. @ Wonyi, nothing stops you from conceiving naturally after ivf. Just that most people dont ovulate immediately after ivf because the body needs some time to wear off all the plenty medication taken during ivf. |
Hmmm adoption tins. I used to encourage women to also try adoption after ivf but after a colleague's nasty experience, I'd rather solicit for surrogacy than adoption. Let me quickly share my colleague's story so others too can learn. This lady in question got married 15years ago (I didn't even know she's been married for that long), and couldn't conceive. I think they tried ivf and what have you and finally decided to adopt a baby. They are very rich as the husband was a big boy in one of the banks while she works in an oil company. She drives the latest prado to the office and they own a house in Lekki so money was not an issue. Just 2 weeks ago, the husband was shot by hired assassins and trust igbos and culture. The bottom line of the story is that the family has refused to accept the baby she and the hubby adopted. The obituary poster pasted on our office notice board does not reflect anythg to show the guy has a child whether fostered or adopted. Mourners listed there were brothers, sisters, uncles, aunties, nieces and nephews. Everyone in the office noticed the deliberate removal of her child all because its not the man's seed. News making the rounds is that the family is eagerly alloting the man's houses and cars to themselves. My colleague has a good job so we definitely know she would be ok with her child. But then, how would anyone feel, after husling with a guy for 15yrs and all of a sudden u loose everythg to relatives just because u don't have a child for him. Its just so sad and we all feel for her. That is why I always pray and encourage women with delay never to fold their arms and expect God to make the move for them. God has already put in place so many techniques and ways to have a baby. Iui and ivf is there surrogacy is another option if ivf doesn't work for you. Its still ur baby, only carried by a rented womb and at the end, you and your family are happy. Gist going round has it that the 2 kids Patience has for Jonathan were born by surrogates in India, no wahala, who cares? Women should wise up especially if the money is there and you can afford it. Anyone can criticize me but then its my own opinion. There's this pidgin proverb that says, Pikin wey no get Mama, na when other people mama dey advise their children na him from dey listen dey gain wisdom. |
Babes congrats!!! We thank God for the beginning of better things to come. If you know the other lady whose Uterus was removed personally, advise her to go for surrogacy as all hope is not lost. |
Better hungry never catch am, if not nobody will tell him to make amend for food he spent his money on. My hubby tried it this xmas, I was just laughing becos I know he doesn't know how to cook. I just saw him walking up and down the kitchen to the sitting room after I'd packed evrything into the refrigerator. Out of pity I asked him what he wants to eat this morning and he said anythg. I was expecting to hear the same nothing he told me yesterday night. All the same its not too good to starve them for long cos believe me, most of them will go out to eat instead staying hungry and the whole aim of making peace would have been defeated. Once in a while its good to make the first move and offer them food cos they are still our first Babies. If your husband develop ulcer na u go still suffer to help find solution. |
Arisolama I don't think its necessary becos womb setting is actually for the swimmers to have free access to the cervix unhindered whereas with ivf, the egg is already fertilized and deposited in the middle of the womb so its absolutely not necessary but then you can do it if it makes you feel good. As in, if you feel u'll have a better result with it. I know I did some native herbs like sitting on some boiled herbs for days and that helped a lot with discharge I've battled with for years but can't say categorically that it gave me my BFP. So do what makes you feel your chances are increasd without endangering ur life. Always seek a second opinion too with what you decide to do as what works for one person might not work for the other. All da best my Sister. Godiya, Emeka is good won't deceive you but have it at the back of your mind that its God that gives. I got 2 BFN with him before my BFP this year. Also a lot of people have been getting BFP this year and even those with BFN still insists on returning to him because he is probably different from other Drs but call him and schedule an appointment free of charge to discuss your issue and if your mind tells you to continue with him, then follow your mind. Why am I saying all this? A friend I met here on NL got a BFN and it was really difficult consoling her. I was almost crying for her becos it was like she went there because of the plenty testimonies she read here. A lot of peeps still got BFP at first attempt this year but have it at the back of your mind that ivf is try ur luck. All the best Dear. His number is 08032011536. His price is between 900-950k. Try and negotiate any price he gives you cos he don dey like money these days cos of the plenty BFP's so let him know someone told you on NL that its negotiable. U don't pay anythg at first vist and u can go with ur recent tests results so u don't spend money repeating them. |
Olikili congrats, so happy for you. Our love and kisses to your twins. Thank God for this good news. Please feel free to spill the name of the clinic you used as I'm sure a lot of peeps will be interested. Godiya and Tanidabi, it is well. God is never late so be rest assured you will celebrate soonest. Beloved, your story is so touching. Don't know much about PGD, do they do the testing in Nig? Kpele Dear, am happy you found someone who understands what you're talking about. It is well. Merry Christmas and a better 2013 to you all. |
Thanks Babes Omon! Inwangobio, I sent you an email already so confirm if your email add is correct. My love to your wife. Merry Xmas and a better 2013 to all NLanders. |
I don't't know the woman in question and how she conceived but I can boldly tell you that its not impossible. Maybe she conceived via ivf and doesn't want to say so. If you read the ivf thread, I also told a story of an elderly woman of about 60years or early 60's that brought her baby to the clinic to show appreciation to the Drs and nurses for helping her conceive. I wasn't the only who noticed the lady because another Nairalander also confirmed that she was also at the clinic the day the lady came. Here's Georges memorial clinic number 012715320. Any of you can call to confirm. The lady was there last week tuesday to be precise. Secondly I also witnessed another elderly lady of not less than 60 too celebrating her bfp about same time I got mine in Georges. That should be early may this year. What I can't tell is if she is still carrying the pregnancy or has given birth or has had a miscarriage cos I haven't seen her after that day. Its possible she is doing her antenatal elsewhere or has traveled out of the country. Finally, one of my bosses also delivered a set of twins early last year at 54 via ivf as well but she won't tell you she did IVF. I knew she did cos my company's Dr showed me her file one of those bad days I was crying in his office over my inability to conceive. The Dr couldn't console me and he brought out the file to show me her age and said if God can do it for this lady who is older than your mum, why can't you trust God to do your own. So don't conclude on this woman's case because she could actually have carried that baby to term even with menopause. |
