Dede1: Christian and other religious denominations would ask president to build similar schools in all parts of Nigeria and this will imply Nigeria is no longer a secular country. The action of president of Nigeria to build schools meant for Mohammedans is appeasement of lowest order and very shameful indeed.

@Jason123, I did say that "if I can recall" meaning I wasn't too sure if he was the first. But I think he did set the tone for modern day Nigeria in terms of economic policies. Like I said, on one hand, they ere good policies that favoured his people but in the National context, they were detrimental to the national interest in the long term.
