Xisnin:He was not asked to provide proof of incompetence against the management. Incompetence is not the same as dishonesty, shameless sycophancy, and misappropriation that he ignorantly accused the management of. And being competent does not mean someone cannot misappropriate funds or be dishonest. Please, read. Reading does not kill. |
princetboy:Education is the key to success. Don't confuse degree with education. They are two different things. Degree is a certification of your learning, education is that learning. Some people pass through school but never really got educated. They have degrees that they can't defend. Degree may not be important, especially in developed countries. But education is very important. You can't survive without education, and there is nowhere you can't get an education. |
Xisnin:Why do you people find it hard to read? It is there in the OP the reason why he was expelled. He was not expelled because he mentioned the transportation malaise or the police harassment. He was expelled because he could not substantiate the allegations questioning the integrity of the management and staff of the university. |
MarshallDT:Never heard about that, though. I will read about it. |
thatigboman:College of education. |
joe4christ:He was invited to a Disciplinary Committee meeting but couldn't substantiate his allegations. We all know funds are being misappropriated in many institutions, and not just in academic institutions. But, if you want to be a sort of a whistle-blower, you need to have evidences. He messed himself up. |
nzeobi:I didn't see the tyranny or high-handedness here. He was expelled for making unsubstantiated allegations. He blatantly accused the authority of diverting funds. I mean, he wrote that lecturers all over the world were researching to save the world while FUNAAB lecturers were licking butts for political appointments. He even demeaned the office of the Vice Chancellor as a political appointment gotten through butt licking. These are allegations that are hard to prove which was why he could not substantiate his allegations when the Disciplinary Committee invited him to a meeting for the purpose of giving him a fair hearing. |
thatigboman:NDA was not equivalent to a university when my uncle graduated from there and earned a commisson. It was in 1985 that NDA was upgraded to a university. Even in the United States, graduates of military academies earn immediate commissions. |
elijahozzy:What is bad is what I want you to prove to me now, and that is what you must include in your petition to EFCC. Failure to do this, and your petition would end up in the dustbin. The reason why many petitions go into the dustbin is that they don't have substance. Law enforcement agencies hate going into investigations that would end up being a total waste of time and money. So, they want to see many leads, a lot of substance in your petition. You can't write a petition stating that your neighbor is a fraudster and you send it to EFCC and you expect them to storm your neighbor's house. Your petition must have substance. If it is based on suspicion alone, then your petition would certainly end up in the dustbin. Imagine writing to EFCC: "My neighbor lives large. He never leaves the house. He has a lot of friends. He must be a Yahoo boy" and you send it to EFCC and you expect EFCC to share your sentiments. You didn't think well enough to know that someone living large might actually be the son of a wealthy man. That he never leaves his house does not mean he is a fraudster. He might be working from home as an online content writer, or even as a freelance writer. That he is always on his laptop is not an evidence of wrongdoing. Full-time writers are nearly always on their laptops. So, imagine, writing to EFCC: "Tinubu used bullion vans to transport raw cash over the maximum amount of raw cash allowed by the anti-money laundering act. Please, investigate.". Your petition did not put into consideration that the same anti-money laundering act states that you can move raw cash over the maximum amount as long as the bank officer in charge of the transaction followed certain regulations. How can you prove that Tinubu did not fulfil the requirements of the anti-money laundering act before moving raw cash over the maximum amount allowed? Petitions without substance or enough leads are always considered a waste of time. Because they receive many such petitions that led them nowhere, they have become wary of petitions that have not taken many aspects of the law into consideration. |
tetralogyfallot:I don't know about the NSCDC, but as far as the military is concerned, you can earn a commission without necessarily having a university degree. I have an uncle who earned a commission simply by graduating from NDA before it was upgraded to a university. Even Muhammadu Buhari, Obasanjo, and others earned their commissions by graduating from military academies (not universities). |
NOC1:You are too narrow-minded. Even if you don't see any of your friends around in your time of need, what makes you think they are not wishing you well? Sometimes, the only thing a friend might have to offer are prayers because they may be struggling themselves. A friend of mine had a problem at work. He called me at a wrong time. I was very broke at that time (that period, things were so hard that it was my mom that settled my house rent). I could not send money, but I did a 3-day fasting for him. I can't say if it was my fasting and praying that helped, but he didn't lose his job. He stopped calling me. So, after some months, I reached out to him through Facebook on his birthday. He thanked everyone who wished him, but ignored me. So, I sent a personal message. He then told me I was a bad friend. That he needed money to save his job but I was not there to help. Then, he blocked me even before I had the chance to explain myself. Yes, there are bad friends. But, there are good friends too. Even family can ditch you in your time of need not because they want to. It might be forces beyond their control. I have two cousins whose school fees I have taken responsibility for because their mother is a widow. I am the one who also gives them pocket money every month. Now, another aunty came to me and wanted me to help with her son (another cousin). I did my calculation, and explained that I wouldn't be able to manage another person on my current salary. This woman has stopped talking to me even though I explained why I couldn't take another person in my care. |
Hangulsaram:No, you are the problem of the country, not me. It is fine if you don't like Tinubu, but it doesn't mean you should be sentimental in pressing issues such as the law and corruption. First of all, there is no proof that Tinubu broke any law. Second, those who write petitions against Tinubu have more to prove than him, if not, their petitions would be regarded as a waste of time. |
AkupeMBANO:Go to EFCC website and read about how to go about writing a petition. |
angelEmade:My kind of woman. Nothing beats a plate of beans. |
AkupeMBANO:His petition is certainly weak. There is no how anyone can make a case against Tinubu as far as the bullion van incident is concerned. |
ZombieTERROR:Petitions are used to determine whether or not to investigate an allegation. EFCC does not arrest someone based only on petitions. Your petition must have substance, and your complaints must be well-researched. |
mannobi:How would you feel if our flag is called a Boko Haram flag or a cocaine flag? Don't use the act of a few miscreants to paint the whole country black. |
Promismike: Chukkychukky:Diesel is a type of fuel just like petrol/gasoline. You ought to have written: Diesel is not as flammable as petrol/gasoline |
We have scored 8 times and conceded 6 times. While our goalscoring record is impressive, our defensive record is very disgraceful for a country of Nigeria's reputation. |
andrewbaba44:No be only you, my brother. |
andrewbaba44:Even murder cases pend even in cases where the suspect was caught commiting the crime. Police, courts, lawyers, and sometimes the suspects contribute to why cases pend for years. Police ask for more time to gather evidence, lawyers ask for more time, courts grant bails, suspects refuse to appear in court, and like that, what seems like a straightforward case can drag for years. Look at Evans. Up till now, he has not been prosecuted in spite of entering a guilty plea. His lawyer said he was intimidated into entering the plea. And like that the case can drag for years. |
andrewbaba44:Joshua Dariye got 14 years. Jolly Nyame got 14 years too. Others like Dino Melaye, Saraki, Ayo Fayose, Jonah Jang and many others have either spent time in prison or still have pending cases. |
andrewbaba44:Politicians are getting it as well. So, Emoney will get it if he is guilty. I doubt he is innocent. |
Samsonklin:You want to go into fraud. If you do, we will catch you. You can't escape the law. |
andrewbaba44:Emoney is not legit nor is he smart. I knew he was not smart when he cooked up a contract story to let people know the original source of his wealth. He has diversified, but he can still be nailed. Many of his cohorts are still in the business. Supposing Mompha is one, he would surely reveal Emoney. The law does not use magic. It uses info. So, if you think you did a crime so many years ago and you can launder proceeds by investing them in clean businesses, nemesis can still catch up with you. A former syndicate member may be all that the law needs to create an offender profile. Sometimes, the law does not go out to arrest someone. They may be targeting Mr A. When they catch Mr A, info from Mr A may lead to a crime involving Mr B who may have even left the criminal ways many years ago. |
Bbbwings:Be guided, bro. Things that you can't prove in court should not be repeated with so much confidence. Data was harvested through a personality quiz test which the users used of their own accord. Information for the personality quiz was said would be used for a research. This information was later shared with Cambridge Analytica. Even the whistleblower never accused Zukerberg of selling data to Cambridge Analytica. And you are here confidently accusing Zukerberg of selling info. If info was sold, why was there a need to use an app to dishonestly harvest people's info? Moreover, many of these apps have disclaimers in which many would have unknowingly consented to their info being used as the app organizers wanted. No court accused Zukerberg of selling info. Maybe you need to go and read more on the Cambridge Analytica-Zukerberg scandal. |
One of the correct boyfriends mentioned in the Yeye Boyfriend song is Mompha. ![]() Where is Mompha today? |
andrewbaba44:All they need to pin Emoney is to arrest an old ally of his who would then mention Emoney. Mompha had a source of income which he used as a front. Politicians are no better, but they are smarter. That is why they don't flaunt their wealth like these Instagram big boys. |
partnerbizn3:If Zukerberg decides to sue you now, you will start blaming your village people for your problems. Who told you Zukerberg sells info illegally? He was summoned by Congress because someone harvested data without consent from Facebook. Zukerberg's only fault was not putting measures in place to tighten security around personal data. He had assured people that their data was safe only for an outsider to avail themselves of the design of Facebook to harvest millions of people's personal data for political reasons. Zukerberg took responsibility like every great boss. It doesn't mean that he pleaded guilty to any direct wrongdoing. |
Dannyozs:Like a good guy ![]() That is what good guys do. Rid society of criminals. They also try to dissuade criminally minded people from paths of crime. |
Samsonklin:Tinubu's source of income is not questionable. He runs a conglomerate of businesses. Anyone who wants to petition Tinubu must have a good reason to. The reason why it is easier to catch Yahoo boys is because they have questionable source of livelihood and yet live large. I have my eyes on you. We will nab you if your lifestyle is way above what your source of income should provide you. This forum is not as faceless as you are made to believe. |
GeneralPula:There was never a need to trail them. They couldn't keep low profile, so they had people singing their praises. |
