OGHENAOGIE:Do I need to mention many of his shameful mistakes before you start using your brains again? Or do I have to mention the many jittery moments this man goes through every time he mans the post for club or country? Everyone has a bad day. But even at that, there is a level of calm expected of a goalkeeper with years of experience. But no, Akpeyi is always like a newbie, jittery and all over the place. |
OGHENAOGIE:Top form indeed. That guy is not even close to the list of 20 top goalkeepers in the South African league. Against Orlando Pirates, he got very low rating, and someone was even wondering how a big country like Nigeria will have Akpeyi as one of her major goalkeepers. |
frozen70g:It is impossible. Schooling is understandable as there are many modes including part time and distance learning. But work? Forget it. |
OGHENAOGIE:Akpeyi is not in top form. He was atrocious against Orlando Pirates even though he was largely untested. Akpeyi should never be recalled. He has nothing to offer. If after so many years, he still can't deal with nerves well enough to put in calm performances, then, what is the need to continue to call him? |
We are a goal down against Benin. Hopefully, we will turn the game around. Seems like this year is a year of coming from behind. The Golden Eaglets began this nonsense. |
Simpubozz:In my first post, I wrote that you must have spent at least 12 months. 12 months is the least. So, you are safe. You have spent at least 12 months. And supposing you have not even spent 12 months but your rent is active, no one can evict you without at least a Quit Notice of 2 months grace. |
spencekat:It is not a borrowed language. It is a second language. It is the language of instructions in our schools, even in mathematics. So, stop making excuses!!! It is understandable when mistakes are made, but when such a small post is riddled with so many errors, it can make one wonder. Try applying to a school abroad, and you would see that once you fill in Nigeria as your country of residence and origin, the school would expect that you have sufficient proficiency in English. |
frozen70g:And you think the Alaafin will allow her work? I have never heard about an olori working in all of my life. No government agency would dare employ her. |
HigherEd:Ugly as hell. I am very unimpressed. |
MsDoris:What was the need to whiten Teddy A's hand? All these immature photographers who want to do more than themselves all in the name of editing. That was how one of them whitened me so much that I looked like a ghost in a Nollywood movie. |
Simpubozz:I am not a lawyer, but my mom is. So, I have learnt a lot from her because I did venture into properties sometime in the past. 1. It is not mandatory for landlords to notify tenants that their rental home is up for sale. However, some landlords do inform their tenants and even arrange a meeting between tenants and the new landlord(s). 2. Even if Quit Notice are served, you will be given a minimum of 2 months if you have been in the house for at least 12 months (one year) to vacate the house. So, since your rent would be due by December, if the new landlord issues you a Quit Notice, you would only be expected to vacate the house by February, 2020. Supposing you are a new tenant who paid for 1 year and you have only spent a month, the new landlord cannot evict you until you have used the whole year you paid for together with 2-month Quit Notice grace. 3. You don't need any step to ensure your tenancy rights. Your rights are contained in the lease agreement. If you have your receipt, it is an evidence of a lease agreement; it clearly shows the tenancy period that you paid for, which is usually a year. |
There is still time. It is not even up to 20 minutes of play yet. |
A loss, and we are out. |
makeherscream:Well, you have a strong point, although debatable. |
Badonasty:That is true I just did a little bit of reading. Those guys hardly win even at home, but they hardly lose as well. It is actually hard to beat them in their country. |
makeherscream:Are you supposing that she didn't use cream in the House? Remember that your original point is that her beauty is all thanks to cream. |
Ladyhippolyta88:My sweetest heart, you know I am a very honest person ![]() |
They must be wary of Benin Republic. It is one of the most improved footballing country in Africa. So, we must take all our chances very meticulously. If not, Benin might end up holding us to a goalless draw. As for Lesotho, anything less than 5-0 would be a disappointment. We understand that the matches are close to each other with little time for much rest in between games, but I trust that Lesotho are no match at all. But Benin can be dangerous if we play too much with them. |
makeherscream:But there are people who brightened their skin and are still ugly. Explain why? The truth is: person wey don ugly don ugly Tacha is evidently beautiful. You can't deny that. And mind you, I am not a fan of hers. |
felixbar:The lawmakers were the ones who proposed the constituency allowance during the time of Obasanjo. And the reason why they said they wanted it was for them to provide their constituencies the dividends of democracy. So, it is not out of place to expect infrastructures from your representative in the National Assembly (whether Senate or Reps). In case you don't know, the constituency allowances are included in the budget annually, and it runs into billions of naira. That is taxpayers' money, and so it is not out of place for us to demand better use of funds for which we are taxed. |
slyfoxxjoe:There is a board that selects movies for each country. Every year, this board sends out invitations to film makers and directors to send in their movies. This board then makes a unanimous decision on what film to send as their country's representative movie. So, if you have a movie in Efik and it is properly produced with great and unambiguous English subtitle, you are welcome to submit it to the board. |
slyfoxxjoe:English is allowed, but the indigenous language should be used far more. So the Oscar is not against English dialogue in foreign movies. It is just against using too much English. The criteria is fair. |
The most annoying part is not even the English, but the annoying American accent that everyone has, even the ones in the village in precolonial era. You will see Genevieve Nnaji acting as a villager who has never been to a classroom or seen a vehicle speaking English with the accent of Barak Obama. |
maynation:If the story concerning the baby is true, I already condemned the act. But it can be that the man asked her to leave his house, and then she narrated to neighbors that he included the child. It was on this Nairaland that we saw a video of a Nigerian woman physically assaulting her mother-in-law in the United States. Fortunately, the husband (who is also Nigerian) captured the incident on his phone. After the wife finished assaulting her mother-in-law, she called 911 and told the police that her husband was abusing (raised his hand to) her. It was the video that saved the innocent man from going in for violence against a woman. I don't know if anyone remembers the thread. I think it made frontpage. So, we should never totally believe just a side of a story. Women are even more liable to tell lies because society believes their story quickly especially when it has to do with domestic violence. |
maynation:It takes two to tango. Tell me one reason why a happily married man would keep late nights? I am not blaming anyone, I am just trying to be rational which is the least expected of an educated person. Only illiterates jump into conclusion. That woman is not innocent. Her narrative is all over the place in her quest to gain sympathy. And since she was the first to run to the press, and also being a woman (and not to mention that she is also an orphan), the odds are against the man. |
Ndlistic:The story is not complete. In one instance, the wife said the husband drove her out of their house, and in another instance, she said there was a split due to his staying out late and returning home smelling of alcohol. She appears to be filling up a story and hiding details that might show her own failings and shortcomings. From the narrative, it was evident that the man had begun to keep late nights even before the first split. The question is: "why would a happily married man keep late nights, and come home smelling of alcohol?" My guess is that it was never a happy marriage for the man. And when a man is unhappy in his marriage, he avoids home at all cost. I have many of them in my workplace who prefer to do overtime without extra pay than return home. In all, no matter what must have happened, a child should never have been dragged into the madness. The highest he should have done was wait till daybreak to make sensitive decisions such as moving her loads out of the house. Anger is not a solution. What if something bad had happened to the family while they were using the road at midnight? We should learn to manage our anger because anger destroys. |
franchasng:Stop this nonsense. If only many of you read more on basic biology, you will not be exhibiting so much ignorance. There is a difference between sexual desire and physical stimulation. An erect penis might go flaccid after an orgasm but it can get erect again as a physiological response to fear, anxiety and such types of emotions. This is a purely reflexive action which you have no control over just as you don't have control over your heartbeat. Study says men can have up to 5 erections in one night without even sexual desires. Some people even wake up with an erection in the morning without necessarily having had any sexual desires or even have sexual desires. Things like erections and the lubrication of the vagina are caused by a neurological system, and even fear can trigger this system. Fear can make your penis erect and can make your vagina lubricate. And orgasm is a reflex to physical stimulation. So, if he gets physically stimulated, he will ejaculate. Fear may delay or even fasten ejaculation and still make the penis get erect again. It is simple Biology. And stop saying male rape is rare. It happens very well but it is largely unreported and undocumented. Just like domestic violence against men. |
Cityfirstborn:Permit me to join this argument. According to records (H2H), Klopp trumps Pep, albeit slightly. Football is a matter of strategy, not necessarily what beautiful football you play. Working with different teams and management, and yet Klopp has managed more wins against Pep than Pep could manage against him. So, it is safe to say that Klopp is the better coach. |
Adoekititout:You have been smoking that sh1t again. |
Liverpool win or draw against Man City. BTTS: Yes Correct Score: 2-1 |
