RomanceRe: I Feel Like Stabbing My Wife For Sleeping With Another Man by BluStreak(m): 12:18pm On Mar 15, 2013
I guess the womenfolk are getting something mixed up. Right from the time of creation, women has always been betrothed to men and not the other way around. Once we marry you, you belong to us alone and exclusively to cherish, adore, enjoy, flaunt etc. Why take us the men through the hassles of toasting, providing for you, protecting you, giving you a fairy tell wedding all at our expense etc if you know you cant offer your undiluted loyalty? I am out of here jare, the responses here is bursting my head.

Its so disheartening how women of our days come in here and yap dust with their mouth. Is this what our society has become? When did 2 wrongs start making right? The society we live in today has lost the values and our mothers of tomorrow and present are not anything to beat your chest for. Jeeeeze! So because your husband cheated, its now right for you to also go ahead and cheat? Anyway, when the gbege start, na una go still beg. Why start what you cant finish? Why cant our women folk be the subtle, sweet, humble, submissive, virtuous, elegant, homely women of the days of our mothers? Well, the end is near that is just my conclusion.

AgricultureRe: He Wants To Resign & Do Vegetable Farming - Please Advice by BluStreak(m): 5:29am On Feb 28, 2013
Vegetable farming is among the most profitable agricultural based business one can venture into. Bear in mind that maturity period for some of these vegies in less than a month unlike cassava & pineapple etc.

Vegetables like green, pumpkin leaves, ewedu, and other leafy vegetables mature in weeks. Vegie farming only requires constant irrigation, fertilizer preferably organic. And guess what? The yield is very high he might actually not need too many hecters of land. Just 2 hecters will give him all he wants.

manny4life: Haha, you're morally bankrupt to even want to question the genuine trade transactions of the Igbo people. Yes, I will question a dumb question for a valid one. Haha, we sell fake goods, Igbo's DO NOT SELL FAKE GOODS, and even those who sell who sell low quality goods, I don't see what's wrong in it, do you?

What's the crime in selling low quality brand products that poor people like you can afford? So since you have that knowledge all this while its been FAKE, what have you done to abstain from it? huh huh huh Apparently it's not fake --- it's either your cheapry hands cannot afford the real deal, or simply you bitchh about it.

It's fraudulent? LOL, the problem is you try to exempt yourself from the association and then claim evil... As far as I'm concerned, I haven't seen anything wrong, bring me a better case, and I will answer you.
Well articulated response Manny. Without the ibo's introduction of affordable items, the Yoruba's would have still been living in their grass thatched houses, converging in one politician's house to watch TV etc. The low priced goods has helped a lot of homes live a comfortable life even though the items often times have a short life span.
How many average Nigerians (Yoruba's) can afford a 600VA made in Japan small generator for N75,000? But with N9,500 you can buy a 950VA China generator imported by the Ibo's. Talking about furnitures, in 2002 a glass dining set with 4 chairs sales for average of N180,000. It beats me to hear that 11yrs after, you can get a low priced dining set with 4 chairs for N80,000.

All because of ibo's ingenuity, a lot of us are living better. They saw an opportunity and took it. What is the opportunity? Providing low income earners and the poor among us the opportunity to live a gσσ∂ life and at an affordable rate. This is spread across all areas of our living; from car parts to clothing to perfumes to households etc.

I rest my case. Haters should just stop hating.

NB: I am against the faking of food and drugs. It kills or causes death.

All the crap about him being a changed person is just story. He wants to trap me so i will be his slave forever.
You have said & heard it all. You don't need this man except your fate is sealed in a perpetual life of misery. He will never change since he isn't even aware of what pushes him to assault you. He therefore will have no control of what he doesn't know. Your life is better-off without him.

Don't go back is my final advice. Please don't.
EducationRe: Reps Suspend Jamb’s E-Test, Summons Education Minister by BluStreak(m): 3:30am On Feb 07, 2013
This is the major hurdle crippling the development of this country. Is the rep calling for the cancellation of Jamb's proposed e-test in April insane? 2015 has been fixed for the discontinuation of paper examinations by Jamb & this gworo-eating malam is asking Jamb to wait until 2015 to kick-start and automatically halt paper test. Isn't there suppose to be trials and a gradual shift from paper-test to e-test?

Besides, paper test wasn't scrapped for the April exams. It only in some zones where facilities have been put in place for a test-run of the process that will not do the paper-test. Unlike paper test that's done on the same day across the country, e-test can be spread over a period of time to make room for all the candidates to participate in the exam. The e-test process has to be tested, all gray areas fine-tuned before 215 when paper test will be completely scrapped. This is a gσσ∂ move from Jamb.

CultureNigeria's Igbo Jews: 'lost Tribe' Of Israel? By CNN by BluStreak(op): 1:10pm On Feb 05, 2013
Abuja, Nigeria (CNN) -- A Shabbat service is underway at the Ghihon Hebrew Research synagogue in the Jikwoyi suburb of Nigeria's federal capital territory.
Fourteen year-old Kadmiel Izungu Abor heads there with his family. They walk alongside stray goats on a road covered in red dust and potholes, lined with open sewage. They are nearly 20 kilometers away from the modern multi-story office buildings and sprawling mansions in Nigeria's capital city of Abuja.
About 50 people gather in the synagogue. They pray from the Siddur, they read from the Torah and as they chant, Abor's mellow alto begins to rise.
In a country of 162 million people tensions often lead to violent uprisings between Christians and Muslims and being part of the religious minority can be an issue. But Abor wears his kippah and his identity with pride.
"I am a Jewish Igbo," he says.
The Igbo are one of Nigeria's largest ethnic groups with population estimates ranging from 20 to 50 million. Abor is convinced that the Igbo's ancestors were Jews.

@OP, I call that insecurity. Are you lacking in anything? If you feel inadequate, that's when ur partner's endearment words to friends will make you jealous. For me, I don't see nothing in it. I use it and I have married female friends that use same for me. I don't relate it to green light. Its pure endearment possibly because u mean so much to the individual, not in amorous way though.

@grandster, you guys lƠ̴͡Ơ̴͡k down on Nigeria too much. The BIG market in Nigeria lies in our population. South Africa's population is just over 50million, Nigeria has a population of well over 160million. You do the maths. Nigeria is a big market for Blackberry and No.1 in Africa.

For the record. BIS is not getting scrapped on BB10. BB10 BIS will only cover enterprise applications and BBM traffic. Every other traffic will be via data bundle from ur network provider. This the simple fact.

If they enquire, tell them your fate prohibits any form of alcohol intake. Is as simple as that.

Duration is 12months after which the vehicle automatically becomes the driver's own. Bus type: Toyota Sienna 2000/2001 model.

Any advice in regards to this project will be welcomed. Also interested people can PM me.
FamilyRe: House Help Matter. by BluStreak(m): 10:26am On Jan 27, 2013
mushona: I think the first point is to pray that God gives you the right kind of help. I run my own business and have a baby an older child and my step son as well. My hubby also has a full time business to run so neither of us can be at home the whole day so I have a maid. Unlike some women I do believe her core function is to look after the baby so I do my own cooking, i bought a washing machine to ease her work load. I try by all means to do as much as I can around the house so she can have time to look after the baby. So far so good!! She is great with all 3 kids and is very respectful. My mother in law found her for us and knows her family very well. We treat her like family and in return she acts as such. I believe you reap what you sow. If you sow kindness and love you will reap it.If you treat your maid like a slave they are bound to abuse your kids out of spite. God is the only one who can truely protect our kids so I personally dont think creche is necessarily the safest place espically for a very young baby. Anyway its a personal choice. Iv made mine and im very comfortable with it

Car TalkRe: Post Pictures Of Your Vehicles Mpg(miles Per Gallon) by BluStreak(m): 5:37am On Jan 17, 2013
@bhurlarh
Quick question, when is the car supposed to have a lower mppg? On the highway or in-town driving?

Answer: In-Town driving because of so many factor. From ma little auto-engineering experience, on city drive your car moves mostly at lower-speed gear which covers fewer distance at higher engine rev. This equates to more energy consumption but less work done. Secondly, for everytime you pump your gas pedal to move your car from a stationary position in traffic, it requires more energy to go from stationary to motion. While on the highway, you get a higher mpg cos ur car will use more of its speed gear covering more distance at lower rev (RPM).

I'm sure the gurus (Sienna & Co) will shed more light on this.

Cus everybody seems to have a lower mpg on the highway Sorry its not lower mpg but rather higher mpg. Every sound car should get higher miles covered on the highway per gallon of fuel consumed which is measured in mpg.
Car TalkRe: Post Pictures Of Your Vehicles Mpg(miles Per Gallon) by BluStreak(m): 5:21am On Jan 17, 2013
danadam: 6.5 Km/L is about 26 KM/gallon. I think that's fair enough for a 13 years old 4.3 V8 mercedes engine.
This consumption is very fair considering the age and engine capacity of this your beast man. I am certain it will even get better owing to d fact that you took this reading with the car in a stationary position. Hit the highway and I bet u will get about 8 - 10km/liter.
Car TalkRe: Post Pictures Of Your Vehicles Mpg(miles Per Gallon) by BluStreak(m): 12:34pm On Jan 11, 2013
Note: I changed mine from MPG to L/100KM cos we use metric system in Nigeria. I drive a 2007 Honda Accord V6 with Navigation. On city and ma village drives, I get 12 - 13.7 Liters per 100KM. But on the highway, say Owerri/Onitsha or Asaba/Benin, I get 8.3Liters per 100KM average consumption.

When I refilled in Asaba yesterday on my way back to Lagos, I got a whopping 678km estimate for the full tank at my 9.3liter per 100km. I did not buy fuel again and I had a quater tank on arrival in my house here in Lagos.

So I believe the estimate is fair enough for one to hinge on.

@Nwunuken, its a 2007 Honda Accord.
Car TalkRe: Ideal Long Trip Tyre Pressure To Avoid Tyre Burst by BluStreak(op):
I am using this opportunity to beg our dear brothers and sisters about the consequences of over-inflating of tyres. Just this мσяηιηg at about 8:00 am on my way back to Lagos, a Posche Cayene (hope I got dat right) overturned several times somewhere between Asaba & Umunede. Thank God no life was lost probably because a sinless baby was in the vehicle. Cause of accident: front tyre blowout. A more fatal one happened after Okada in Edo state. The vehicle is a Toyota 4runner SUV. Cause of accident: the same front tyre blowout. I am sure there will be fatality because of what is left of the vehicle.

I witnessed that of the Posche Cayene happen in a flash cos I was less than 700 meters behind it. I couldn't take pictures cos it will seem insensitive of me taking picture when people are groaning in pain and sympathizers throned the scene.

Pls my people, if you drive a Sedan or an SUV, do not inflate your tyres past 35psi. You are safer at that pressure. Also, do not inflate it to the max rating as indicated by your tyre manufacture cos that rating is in extreme conditions. I'd rather go with the mean which falls within the 35psi range.

A lot of our people have died as a result of ignorance.

Aaaaaaaahhhhh! @Austin4real, 60psi all round on Acura MDX? That is suicidal.

Let's stop the avoidable carnage on our roads.
Car TalkRe: Ideal Long Trip Tyre Pressure To Avoid Tyre Burst by BluStreak(op): 7:21am On Jan 01, 2013
Wow! I checked my car & what I saw sent shock waves all over my system. Ignorance has led many to their early grave due to tyre bursts.

My findings:
2007 Honda Accord
All 4 tires are 215/50
Recommended tyre pressure
Front Tyres - 32psi
Back Tyres - 29psi

But in Nigeria, once you pull over at a vulcanizer and requests for a tyre gauge, you will get 45 - 50psi inflations for all your tyres. No wonder the bible said my people perish for lack of knowledge. We should all take this matter seriously as this has been a major cause of most fatal accidents on our highways.
