That is a lie. It is the restrictive foriegn exchange policies that Buhari introduced and both Soludo and Sanusi condemned are at the root of the free fall. That's why JP Morgan removed nigeria.

For instance, Buhari has not had the foresight to slash the MTN fine which is detering much needef foriegn. investment and the dollars it will bring. His popularity is sinking. As the naira continues its free fall, the people's patience will begin the wear thin.
So, basically what you are saying is corruption is not a factor contributing to Nigeria's down trodden economy. Ok. Got it.

In case you don't know, corruption is one of the reasons the economy is in free fall. I am not saying they are guilty, that is the job of the courts, but every allegation must be investigated.

Meanwhile when I become President, I will ensure that only trained drivers drive vehicles, I will make major roads so wide, accessible and upgraded. I will also carve out routes for 6 to 14 vehicles to ply both during the day and night, persuading the governments at both state and local levels to follow same. With these, the rate of accidents on our roads will reduce drastically.

So help me God!
This is good. At least one person is thinking. Adding to that, you need to develop a culture of uniformity and accountability for all motorists. In normal societies, everyone has an idea what the other occupant of a vehicle is probably thinking because they all went to the same driving school. In Nigeria, no one knows what the phuck is going to happen next. Also, normal people understand that driving is a privilege and not a right. It can be taken away at any time. In Germany, to get your drivers license will cost you almost 2000 Euro. Who want's to lose all that money for doing dumb shiit. I started driving in Nigeria when i was 13 years old. I did because i could. I could have killed someone. Thank God i didn't. I know better now. It's just too easy to operate a vehicle in Nigeria.

But then again, Tompolo can't just submit himself to the authorities. The authorities have a poor record of respecting the judiciary. That is the quagmire. Once again, thousands will likely die because of the interests and actions of a few.

-Lord
God bless you for that sentence. Nigerians generally don't know what's good for them even if is starring them in the face, or sitting on their noses or perching on their fore heads. When you deprive an individual of basic legal rights, you are setting a precedence that can never be sustained. Who would want to turn themselves over to the law, when there is a likelihood that you would never see daylight again because of the refusal of the government to obey court orders? #Dasuki.

All because the easy money has stopped flowing. This is what happens when you pay touts to maintain peace, sooner or later it unravels. The army should be called in to deal with these touts ASAP. They have NO legitimate reason for this.
And that is the reason i consider Obasanjo to be the worst President Nigeria ever had. He started this crap and everyone followed suit. He thoroughly mismanaged the country and began a policy that is the norm today. From sharia to "settling" militants. I weep for that country. This man had the chance to really bring change to Nigeria but for some reason decided to destroy the country.

Sometimes i think Nigerians are brain dead. They always seem to forget the country they live in and how it operates. Let's try and analyze this in a logical and unemotional manner (sadly).

1. These girls have taken for almost two years now and it is safe to say they may never be found again. We all know how porous our borders are. Some might even be in syria for all we know.

2. Nigerians are assuming that BH would have all of them in one spot. That is impossible. That's just too many people to watch all at the same time.

3. The Nigerian government does not have the intelligence nor the capabilities to find a stolen car talk less of a human being. This is the reason i keep saying that the jungle justice mentality in Nigeria needs to stop. Law enforcement agents in Nigeria do not know how to investigate matters properly. It's always accusations and summary judgements. They do not invest the time nor the resources to conduct proper and accurate investigations and thereby do not have a culture or the temperament for it.

4 Pride. Obviously the government is handicapped in this matter and instead of them to ask for help in trying to find these girls, if at all possible, they refuse to ask for help from countries capable of assisting.

You all should stop dreaming. The girls are gone. Some may be found years down the road by pure luck but definitely not by Nigeria's investigative capabilities.

Some ladies need to learn from this hard working woman who was spotted hustling for herself in Lagos today. Instead of waiting for a guy to foot her bills, she decided to take the bull by the horns -in doing this men's job (no time for dulling). While others will use what they have to get what they want, this woman uses the vision of what she wants to get what she has ..no mater how little it is now, it can only get better -TIME is the only difference. Kudos to this IRON LADY.

You should edit that. It should be "some ladies in Nigeria". Most women will out do you in so many area that it will astound you. Some would kick your asss with their eyes clothes. (my combative instructor is a woman and you don't wanna phuck with her). In normal societies, it is no big deal. But you are right though, women in Africa need to step up and try to be more independent. There are no more damsels in distress.

opeyemiieblog:
In continuation with the sensitization of our citizens on the devilish strategy of the terrorists, the Nigerian Military authorities have discovered that the Boko Haram terrorists are determined to continue letting off bombs and have resorted to masquerading as fruits and vegetable vendors wheeling Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) as groceries into crowded areas.

The terrorists now hide IEDs under vegetable wares in carts and wheelbarrows and move to crowded places where they detonate them for maximum casualties. The recent terrorists attack in the North East is a case in point. Having been effectively dislodged and decimated the BH terror group has begun some systematic isolated attacks mainly on soft targets in their desperation to remain relevant. The Defence Headquarters hereby advises the general public to constantly be alert to this latest terrorist tactics and to report promptly any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest security agency. While commending the general public and the media for their continuous support so far, all citizens are once again reminded that security is everybody’s concern therefore, they should join hands with the security agencies to eliminate the remnant of the terrorists.

Research and see that some don't agree that digitization ALWAYS reduces corruption NOR accelerate development
You are funny. You mean Nigerians don't agree that digitization is the future. Fortunately, normal societies don't agree.

1. Digitization reduces waste.

2. It enhances efficiency.

3. It reduces fraud, waste and abuse.

4. It is dynamic. Take education for instance. In normal societies, i can be at home and earn a degree. I don't have to see the four walls of a university to achieve this.

I have constantly said that the reason Nigerians don't know what's good for them is because they don't know or have EXPERIENCED a better way. Exposure matters.

This, if true, is so criminal. I can't imagine any website going above 7-8 million Naira. By N7m-N8m I mean a site that incorporates accounting module with dynamic information keeping and display.
I think on this issue it would be wise to ask for a breakdown of how the funds will be utilized. One does not know if part of the funds would be for remuneration of the staffs that would maintain the site. Remember, the amount is 265k in dollars. DBAs, analysts and programmer in general don't come cheap.

See a whole Minister's desk. This is 2016 for God's sake. It's like being thrown back in time. I wonder what is the obsession of Nigerian's and paper. When everything is going digital, Nigeria is still obsessed with cash and paper documents and you wonder why corruption is high, zero accountability and why it seems that it takes forever to get things done. I'm sure some will say "but how can he get things signed and all that?" Well, that's why CAC cards exist. Nigerian's need to change their mentality and they need serious exposure.

This is English to you. Holy crap. You and the 110 Nairalanders who liked your post need your heads examined. So, because the words exist in the dictionary means that he can jumble all of it in whatever manner he see's fit abi? I now see why the educational standard in Nigeria has gone sideways. Why would the government invest in dullards? I know i wouldn't. The sanctimonious upheaval of Nigerians enumerates the blasphemy that exist in the manner Nigerians utilize their medula oblongata. Now i'm sure because everything i wrote is in the dictionary, it will definitely make sense to you. One has to wonder how Nigerians think. High English ko. Low English ni. Olodo. Politics › Re: Is The $2.2 Billion Arms Deal Fraud Really A Propaganda? by Bollinger(m): 12:08pm On Jan 14, 2016
ejiinii:
It's a propaganda everything the op wrote is vague and complex unlike what snail speed wrote

The simple question for tonyebarcanista is
1; did good luck Jonathan give dasuki 2.1 billion dollars to purchase arm or not

2; security vote to dasuki can't he use it for any other things like making orientation against the terrorist on radio and TV

3; if it's not propaganda why is buhari afraid of the court

4; why efcc gives out information that they suppose to give to court to media only to tarnish their image

In summary tonyebarcanista fear God don't use because of what you want to gain from apc to write against your conscience
I think Nigerians are asking the wrong questions. The right question that should be asked is, why is there a monetary system in place in Nigeria where funds are "given" to a minister and the said minister can access those funds in CASH. If it is true about what has been said about Dasuki, it means he had been withdrawing these funds for a long time and everybody was ok with it. The dependence on cash transactions and the evidence of zero accountability is the reason we are even talking about this today. I can almost guarantee this alleged crime by Dasuki is happening in every single ministry in Nigeria. I can also attest first hand the massive corruption going on in the Nigerian consulate in Berlin. They insist you pay cash for services not advertised on their NIS website and insist you pay cash. If a minister in one ministry can request cash withdrawals with no one batting an eye, then why would other ministers not do the same. The reason people can't see this clearly is the jungle justice mentality in Nigeria. Nigeria needs to move away from cash transactions and start holding EVERYONE finacially accountable.
