ISpiksDaTroof:I understand your concerns and we share the same. I prefer Atiku over Buhari not because I think Atiku is a lesser corrupt politician. We all agree Atiku is corrupt. He amassed wealth during his period in office. However, I believe Atiku will promote better economic development programmes. I have read a bit of his manifesto. I am yet to read Buhari's manifesto if he has one. Ever since it has always been fight corruption. I find that laughable because corruption and Nigeria are now Siamese twins. Corruption has been institutionalise in this country. How will he defeat the corruption in civil services, in NNPC, in the justice system, in the police, in the military, even in private institution. You see I don't think it is impossible. He is yet to talk about economic reform programmes. He is even yet to talk about how he will fight corruption. I bet you need more money in your pocket than hearing whether a corrupt person has been caught. For now, I may vote for Atiku if he emerges the presidential aspirant of the APC. |
emmasege:Yea no manifesto only corruption |
lekkie073:Chief read before you comment. We have lost yorubas, igbos and other ethnic groups. It is not just kanuri speaking or hausa speaking people. This is a fight on Nigerians by Nigerians. Well radical Nigerians. |
lekkie073:I do not support blindly and will never put my conscience at such risk. For me, I think Atiku seems okay. Though I do not trust him that much. However, he seems to understand what the average Nigerian wants and that is redistribution of the Nigerian wealth and not just for the 1% alone. Nigerians want food on their plate, employment on their portfolio and probably some degree of security/safety. I will support a president that makes employment his main agenda than corruption. To avoid misunderstanding, I want corruption eradicated at least in public service, I also want equal justice for all but how do you fight corruption in this country? It is a wishful thought. Hence if Buhari is more interested in fighting corruption - No I will not vote for him because he will not deliver rather he will join them to continue from where they stopped. |
lekkie073:No no no no, I disagree with you on this. Radicals are killing our brothers in the north and not northerners killing themselves. Yes the president should be blame for the continuous insurgency in the north. |
lekkie073:You are forgetting other political party - remember there is a Chris Okotie I wonder whether he is tired of contesting again.Back to your question, Buhari is being flaunted to be incorruptible - I doubt this because it is so hard to find an incorruptible Nigerian. However, he seems to be decisive, out spoken and must understand that if he wins all eyes will be on him in terms of eradicating corruption from this country. Since being out of power, Atiku seems to have changed his views and still trying to change the perception Nigerians have about him. Maybe he is yet to acquire more wealth or he longs for the privileges and power that accompanies the role of the Nigerian president. However, I find him to be more intelligent now. He also seems to be the most experience out of the lot. Tambuwal, a clever lawyer. Quiet but outspoken. He looks appealing but I am not convinced he will deliver. He probably might be a figure-head for political godfathers. Kwankwaso, in him I find a rash ambition man who is very much the typical nigerian political seeking for opportunities to fill their houses with gold. I do not trust him. I will eliminate both Tambuwal and Kwankwaso because they are the average Nigerian Politician - the average nigeria politician is one who is after gold for himself and his friends and do not care about the masses. Apart from Buhari signifying less corruption, I do not see any other appealing qualities in him. I also doubt if he would be able to eradicate corruption because he is no longer a dictator anymore and corruption is now institutionalized in this country - all thanks to Obasanjo and Jonathan. I can also confirm to you that corruption does not stop economic developments and progress. It may slow it down in some sectors but it does not stop progress e.g China. I do not see Buhari chasing an aggressive economic reform programme. Finally Atiku, Atiku seems to be most experienced candidate in terms of decision making. He has been Vice President for 8 years and also a founding PDP stalwart before being chased away. He has engaged in a re-branding strategy by appealing to the youth via embracing social media and attending youth forums. He has also employed a team who has been working on his agenda. His main agenda is creating more employment opportunities for Nigerians. However, he also appears to be bitter with Obasanjo, Jonathan and some political PDP stalwart and may waste national resources on a vendetta drama. In him we may find another Obasanjo - out to eliminate foes in order to secure their position and possibly an economic boom - like the telecommunication and banking era. However, corruption may not decline so if Atiku wins the primary, I may vote for him |
nigerianvenom:If all you think is about scoring political point - then you my friend must be blind. There is no point to make here. The Chibok girls are very much missing, maybe many of them are pregnant. Mubi was ravaged by Boko Haram and thousands were displaced from their homes. Soldiers are running away from battle front to Cameroon and our president is moving millions of cash in dollars to South Africa to buy arms from black markets - maybe from the criminals that killed the South-African goalie. These are all facts - is there any political point to score here ![]() ![]() ![]() ? |
lekkie073:PDP has nominated Jonathan as their sole candidate - so that party is a no go area for me. I shall wait to see what the opposition has to offer. If I have no degree of trust, I shall keep my vote just like I did in the last election. |
lekkie073:If Jonathan was just only a corrupt leader, I would say ok. However, Jonathan is not only corrupt, he does not have or know what it takes to lead over 170 million people. He has been hijacked by sycophants and false praise worshippers. Hence, I will choose a corrupt leader over a Jonathan even in my dream - it is that bad. Jonathan promotes and represent pettiness, mediocrity, ethnicity, ineptness and resource mismanagement. |
lekkie073:Do you think we have a leader now? I don't think so. Nigeria deserves anarchy. Though I don't wish for it due to the gruesome circumstances involved but this president is leading us to anarchy. His countenance, his speeches, his actions and even inactions are unbelievable. How do you explain situations where the first lady summons meetings of party leaders and dictate who should run for office - what constitutional powers does the first lady have? What about situations where criminals/militants are guarding national resources and are being paid millions. What about situations where the military can no longer protects us, the same military we were once proud of, they run away from terrorists into neighbouring countries. Because there are no repercussions for the recklessness and selfishness of our leaders they behave in manners that even the gods cannot fathom. In a sane environment, impeachment and death shall be the sorry state of such leader. In Nigeria, we are entertaining the idea of returning this man back again What a ridiculous situation.Let me remind you that a similar situation like this happened in Mali and the military took over in order to fight the insurgence in the North. We have tried Jonathan and we have seen what he has done and what he has not done and also what he cannot do. One big question I have for Nigerian is - are we going to continue with Jonathan together with the menace (those he created and those he cannot resolve) he attracts? |
lekkie073:I am insensitive and indifferent to any political person in this country because many of our politicians are very selfish and only think from and about their pocket. They do not care about the average nigerian |
Abeg go and sit down. Picture or no picture, it does not take away the issue of some nigerians being refugees in their own country. I rebuke you to stop playing down the gravity of this issue. You and you cohorts are responsible for the stupidit...y we are experiencing in this country. Out of your sheer selfishness and wickedness, with a view of keeping your respective jobs, you ignore the enormous pains our northern brothers and sisters are going through. If only they can trade places with you and your wicked lots, would you come up here to say this? I do not support any political party, both your boss Jonathan has failed us in all respect. He does not need to be the cause of an issue but as president the buck stops at his table. He is responsible for the safety of all Nigerians and even those aboard. In Jonathan, we have witness unprecedented increase in corruption and mismanagement - even Jonathan himself proudly said that public theft or stealing is not corruption. Jonathan is the most insensitive president, in the plight of issues and also the unresolved kidnap of over 200 young innocent girls, this president continues to pursue his selfish political ambition (wickedness is all I call this). This same man promised us steady power supply, a tall dream yet to materialize. Rather than make significant progress in governance, our president indulges in petty things such as power tussle with governors and other politicians alike e.g. Tambuwal. What a show of shame for a man who calls himself the Nigerian President. Only wicked souls will say Jonathan is the best we deserve, only wicked and selfish souls like you will continue to sing the praises of an inept president who stumble into Aso rock and power. All we get from this wicked government are terrible lies and deceit, lies from every sector. Lies about the economy, lies about chibok girls, lies about cease fire, lies about boko haram, lies about power, lies about procurement of arms in South Africa e.t.c |
IfyAwazie:As a matter of fact, vegetable oil can be dangerous to your health. The fatty acids can block your arteries and not allow blood tod flow properly and that can lead to stroke. Even bread can be dangerous to your health too. We all pray for effective and efficient organs to separate the nutrients from the poison we eat everyday. Back to the topic, smoking might not be a sin but may harm your health. It is actually a sin to your own body but your are over working your organs at an unusually way, same as alcohol. On the other hand, it may be good to work your organs so that they do not become so lazy. But as they say, too much of everything is bad. |
plaetton:This was not revealed to you in flesh. A lot of people do not know that Jesus was a mystic and he belonged to a mystic group. |
nikky5:God is not a man, please stop referring to it as him. Likewise, God does not own RCCG. The organization should be owned by its members, that is if your are one, and managed by board of trustee headed by Rev. Adeboye. However, I think the reverse is the case, churches here in Nigeria are owned by board of trustees, which at most times is just a single man who controls the affairs of the organization and does not carry the members along. Often times, they confuse members by claiming it is owned by God or they are ordained by God. |
This topic might sound irrelevant today but it's an inevitable situation that cannot be avoided. For now, let assume that the RCCG hierarchy do have a succession business plan just like every organization and this plan will be effected when the General Oveseer pass away. However, there might be a risk of disorganization and such risk must be factored in. I will also want to assume that the general overseer must have started communicating to the board of trustees in RCCG who his successor is else the dispute that will materialize will be a huge embarrassment for the organization. I also want to draw the attention of those citing God owing RCCG, please quit such utterances. We have told too much lies about this God that the earth centre is boiling. RCCG is a man made organization established by man, with the presumed view of preaching the gospel. |
plainmirror:Nah he deserves to go play under 21 and should never be used again. He knew he was careless from the beginning. Why block joe hart from making a goal kick. I knew he was going to get a red card because he is a defender and must make fouls but I never thought it was going to be in the first half. |
I think smallie was paid. His challenges were unnecessary. Now his stupidity will cost man Utd some hardship. |
This thread should not made front page because it so dumb. I can excuse the poster but the moderator who moved it front page also needs to examine his head. I hope it's not the new paid super moderator? |
A country that has no proper database of it citizens. How do you justify the assertions of this minister. Who are the 1 million people? They ain't trees but humans. How many buses do we even have plying the roads? The minister should be more enlightened and not spew words just for the essence of it. |
Clintosman:There were beds and mansion with clean streets. Father Abraham had his own mansion but cameras are not allowed. It is infact prohibited. |
This story is filled with lies. Ogboni is similar to amorc like your inferences - a social club where knowledge is passed. Please don't let nollywood shape your perception. There is no blood sacrifices |
I don't like the idea of the army taking over and relinquishing power in 12 months. African military cannot be trusted. |
We will only celebrate when the news is confirmed. No high hopes yet. |
cramjones:CRAMJONESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |
freecocoa:Only a mad man engages a woman to exchange words. Na market una dey? Men don't have to energy to talk for 2 hours non-stop and repeat the same thing all over again. Women should respect themselves. I am not advocating for assault on women but a little keep quiet slap will do. |
Samadict:I wanted to use some provocative words against you but I changed my mind after looking at your profile pic only to notice how young you are. You and I know you cannot ignore a woman's tongue. How do you do that? Leave the house, go and sleep and pretend you don't hear the noise? What nonsense. |
jojotemitopaz:A real man will walk away and avoid the issue ![]() |
Adufetohposh:Only a bi...tch or a witch assault a man verbally |
2legit2qwt:Fantastic response very matured. I think women have created and promoted this false double standard. I also don't know why men allowed this for so long. First we are humans and we have emotions. A woman has absolutely no right to verbally assault me just like I have not right to physically assault her. I do not support hitting anybody either dog, goat, cat or woman, however, women should know their limit and if they don't they should not cry foul when their actions result to a black and swollen eyes. No man wants to be a monster, it is a woman that brings out the monster in you. |
moneybag100:Funny enough, if Tim visits Nigeria our government officials would be dancing round him and smiling sheepishly at the camera |
lomomike:Nobody is interested in noticing any comment. Your offer only skids towards your interest the more. It is a risky offer. Anything can happen and you stand to gain alot. Why don't you just do the poultry business yourself rather than rely on someone else. You can also sell or lease the land without any interference. Take that or leave it or dream on. |
