Americans just have excessive freedom.
A lot less than we Brits have I reckon. We just care more, and wouldn't allow our personal freedom to trump anyone elses freedom.

Britain has Boris Johnson who is a light version of Trump. It will be difficult for Britain to have a Black Prime Minister like we had President Obama here.
Actually, and as much as I dislike some Conservative policies, Boris is nowhere like Trump! We Brits would burn down Parliament if he was anything like, but we are just not ignorant enough to elect such a person.

As for a black prime minister, blacks are a meagre 3.3% of the population, unlike the 13.4% blacks are in America. Even Asians, who are 7.5%, only got 2nd post, Chancellor of the Exchequer, so we might have long to wait, especially as we don't have the tear strings of slavery, Jim Crow et al to pull since the Brits were too bright to poo at home.

Is there such a thing as 'godly' ignorance?
No, there isn't. All things godly are wise and full of wisdom.

It is ignorance itself that is ungodly, and we can easily tell the difference by the fruits produced.

Can you please explain the 'godly' acts of such countries as China and Nigeria so I geta better picture of what you mean.
Taking it serious from the start. Early lockdown and quarantining. Low number of those susceptible to the epidemic. Not putting the economy before lifes. Not promoting false cures.

Countries that did the opposite of the above have higher mortality rates.

That's one explanation I guess, but I've found beliefs to often be lies or at least incomplete understanding, and besides, God seems to have left the believe gene out when creating buda.

What do you mean 'godly'?

Name at least 10 'godly' countries please
Godly countries are those that did the wise (godly) things to reduce the impact of coronavirus on its people.

All those with low mortality rates did the godly thing while those that didn't rued the consequence of their ungodly ignorance.

Below is a list of 10 godly countries as far as coronavirus is concerned.

Google is your friend. Pull out your fingers and lift up the floorboards yourself. I am not giving you anything on a platter. You went to school, got a degree, got certifications at cetera then why not just use the researching skills you learned, to ferret out, discover and/or verify information I shared, instead of asking me for the sources.
So, you expect buda to go looking for evidence to support your assertion despite the fact buda already posted evidence that disputes your claim?

There are two sets of Muslim opinion on that.
One set is Muhammad went to the heavens on a Pegasus type creature literally in the flesh.
The other is that the journey was in a spiritual or dreamlike state and not literal. But most often people believe it was literal.
I am of the opinion that believers are lazy and ignorant. Its a flaw for which I intend to burn in the hottest region in hell. Good thing is there'll be space as it wouldn't be crowded by the "most often people" who would definitely end up in heaven.

You mean if we 7.8 Billion humans had all turned away from our sins, this virus would have killed less than 240,000? they live in to blame for their deaths as well?
Yes. I mean exactly that, sin being ignorance.

This thread was early and I needed to wait more time to play out and its now obvious that nations that approached this ignorantly have more death per million than those that approached it wisely.

The wise were godly even if they are not Christian nations, and the ignorant are dead!

And was Muhammad imagining when he claim he rode on a flying creature to the sky?
I have the feeling it is not meant literally but metaphorically, perhaps with early Arabic meanings which might have been lost in time, don't you think? Or you really think it meant Mohammed literally "rode on a flying creature to the sky"? If so no one with a brain would read it past primary two, I'd have thought.

I maintain that skepticism brought advanced and reliable knowledge.
The first few chapters of Genesis are in fact the result of skeptism. There were various creation myths vying for position at the time, until the two in the Bible were codified, but the fact that there are two shows the skeptism at play even then.

Personally, I think all agencies should play to the capacity of its strength. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should be changed and renamed, since in the past decade only Yahoo boys are paraded on daily basis and sent to jail. Funny enough, the policy is now "1 yahoo boy, 3 relatives arrest" just to prove they are working. They should better remove the corruption and add scam or just change their name to Yahoo Yahoo Catching Agency (YYCA).
Yahoo is easy to catch. The name itself says Ignoron2, as in squared. Besides, politicians have connections that make it hard for them to be prosecuted not to talk of "paraded on daily basis and sent to jail". Below, however, are a few that were.

Fyi, the phrase “mowt tamut” in Hebrew, translated to English “you will surely die” in the original text, expresses, death in time and not an immediate death nor a sudden death. In other words, Adam & Eve would eventually die if/when they eat from the TKGE and that is exactly what happened. They progressively died.[/s]

My dear buda, let's just say losing 30kg will make a huge difference to me. You know us ladies don't usually divulge our real weight. If I tell you I'm 75kg, I'm prolly weighing 10 kilos more cheesy

If my mum feeds you for two months you will start looking for ways to lose weight. tongue

My dear, sickness will never know your doorstep again, in the name of the Great Healer, Jesus Christ.
Lol! And amen, thanks.

I never ate much, even at ma's. She's always thinking of the starving around the world and frowns if one doesn't.

I'm off to bake bread for breakfast. I'll have one slice with an egg, bacon and baked beans probably about noon. One cup of coffee till then.

MuttleyLaff:
In the original Hebrew text, where and/or when God said, "... thou shall surely die", the "surely die" comment, has the meaning, translated as "slow death", and the meaning, conveys, a sense of and/or a reality of gradually ceasing to be or in a gradual way, slowly by degrees, slowly by years they will come to an end.
You wanna provide source for this claim of yours please?
