Imagine. MKO lost in most eastern states. Did these people ever supported anything from South West? Yet they refer to Yorubas as traitors
Reasons
1. Muslim-muslim ticket
2. Tofa running mate was an igbo man.

Ibb actually wanted a Christian from north central or north east to be abiola running mate. he warned abiola because they were friends. ibb is not a religious bigot.

I did not support annulment of June 12 election.

I know. Nothing last forever. Reason why people are clamouring for equity is that table will always turn. Also if there is good governance you would not care if leaders come from particular section of countey. Tinubu is a strong factor now and he would likely be president in 2023. What will happen after his exit, nobody knows.

I know this useless omo-criminal will react, the guy is a chemical. What this wailers fail to understand is we have culture in Nigeria and we do respect our elders, politics aside Buhari is old enough to be omo-agege father. so if he decide to kneel or prostrate for him, that shouldn't be anyone problem, the fact that he kneel for him, doesn't make him a rubber stamp and doing otherwise, doesn't say he won't be a rubber stamp.

And my condolences go the Ipob and Wailers Association of Nairaland(IWAA) dont get close to sniper yet, Nigeria will be better under this administration and if not for any other thing, wait till 2023 when SW clinch the Presidency.

you see that a major region is missing there, it is because of the politics of hate and bitterness, how a man will come on the radio and start abusing all other tribes is amusing and they sheepishly follow him.

SW for President 2023.
Osinbajo ni o.
It is not politics of hate. All regions or everyone cannot be in the same party. In 2011, south west and northeast had none. South east had both deputy speaker and dsp while north west enjoyed both vp and speaker. Table always turns.

All private universities including polytechics and college of educations should be conveyed to secondary school or technical colleges. Private secondary schools should be converted to primary schools. Also, private primary schools should be converted to nursery schools. Also, all state universities and third generation federal universities should be converted to diploma awarding institutions. All government owned polytechics should be converted to technical colleges except first and second generation polytechics.
All youths before 21 must acquire particular set of skills which will be one of requirement to be admitted into universities.
Most youths are roaming the streets without any skills and are hopeless because useless university certificates cannot give them any hope.

Please nairalanders, I need your opinion and advice though i expect a lot of bashing because it is normal here on nairaland.

I met this girl two years back and we started dating since 2017. We have been into each other since then.

Recently i went to see her parents just to make my intentions known. After that, we both traveled to see my parents also.

Ever since we came back from my village i have been having this thoughts of divorce. I have this feeling that i will seek for divorce immediately after the wedding. I don't want to have a broken home. I don't want to cheat on my wife because if i eventually marry her with the way i am thinking now i must cheat on her which i don't want to happen in my marriage. I am thinking of quiting the relationship but i don't know how to go about it, how she will react, what her family members will say and react. I am so confused.

Please i need your advice.
Do not marry herbuet. Love he stages. You are in confusion stages. Go ahead with marriage if you pass confusion stage and feeling attached to her.

If it is fake, nothing will happen except psychological trauma that will haunt you for life. And note that if it is real blood convenient, your woman is connected to satanic realm and satan will keep visiting her occasionally because she has demonic sign on her. Nobody can deliver her except HERSELF.it is personal spiritual warfare with little assistance from others.

The sole reason PDP couldn't deliver Ndume or Ekweremadu is this: INDISCIPLINE.

Business › Re: ‘Breasts On Lantern’: Agonies Of Borrowers Of Nigerian Micro-credit Loans by capitalzero: 6:22pm On Jun 06, 2019
Xtfield:
Nothing wrong with borrowing to aid your business. I have done it several times and have been able to repay without any stress. The problem is not with the lender but with the borrower. In borrowing, I follow four simple rules:
1. Never borrow more than your current income can repay. If you read the post, you will see an akamu seller who borrowed 20000 naira. What for? 5000 would have been enough for such a business. Most people will borrow any amount once it is available.
2. Never divert loans to other uses. Use any loan for the purpose for which it is meant. I once borrowed a huge sum from LAPO for a project. I spent all the money within 24 hours on the project to prevent me from diverting any part of the loan on any other thing. The project was meant to enlarge my business and the swift completion of the project accomplished that purpose. In ten months, I was able to repay the loan in full.
3. Do not borrow for recurrent expenses such as payment of children School fees, hospital treatment, burial or naming ceremonies, payment of rent, purchase of pleasure cars or motorcycles, clothes etc. You must only borrow to finance an item that will generate funds.
4. Do not live an extravagant lifestyle. Discipline yourself to live below your means. This is one thing we always find difficult to do in this part of the world. When we make little money, we begin to live large, buying expensive and most times unnecessary things.
To me, these four rules have been my guiding principles and I recommend them to anyone that wishes to take a loan from whatever source.
best comment so far.

If nigeria economy collapses today, igbo people will survive by innovation, yorubas will turn to beggars or leave the country while looking for a way out, hausa/fulani will start uprising and clamour for a change in government. Wooooow!!

This is why I always advise ladies to preferably marry a rich person or at-least someone from a well exposed middle class (lower or upper). The only reason this lady died is because the man didn’t want to spend adequately to get her proper medical attention or it could just be that he can’t afford it. Regardless, the lady is dead and that child will never know the love of a mother.

My friend, married a poor man. Too bad I didn’t know her before she married the poor man. She’s a beautiful woman that could’ve had any partner she wanted but she didn’t know her worth.
Unfortunately, the man started beating her for the slightest provocation, her first daughter (4 years old) got sexually assaulted by unknown neighbor(s).

When she got pregnant with the second child, she got free antenatal but when it was time to give birth, the husband shipped her to the village and hired a cheap dirty local doctor. The second child died at birth and she almost lost her life.

Ladies, let them call you gold digger or whatever but never ever ever ever ever marry a poor person... marry a man that can atleast put food on the table for you and your children (2 atleast) and pay medical bills during child birth. He doesn’t have to own a mansion or fancy cars but he must be able to provide the basics for the household.

things can always change for the better or worse but wise up!

—————

P.s. my friend is an hair dresser. She’s humble and very hard working and her meager income is what she’s been using to sustain her child and stupid husband (I call him stupid cos he beats her$. As a matter of fact, the reason I chose to become close to her was cos she was willing to spend the little income she made on me after I told her I was really starving and haven’t had anything to eat all day. She has a heart of Gold and would’ve been greater with the right man or right opportunity/circumstance.
women should learn to respect themselves. Acquire skills before marriage and try to be financial independent even if you are married to a rich man. people change as their circumstances change. Do not let your husband decide your healthcare providers. choose your clinic. poor people can choose from government health centres who render cheap healthcare services. If your life is being threatened, talk do not be ashamed. Do not die in silence.

Shocking! From a supposedly educated person
imagine a lawyer asked a quack nurse to take delivery of his pregnant wife.few graduates in Nigeria actually educated. They went to universities to obtain certificates not to acquire education. Many professionals cannot practice on their own or work in private sector, they keep waiting for government jobs. For those still in higher institutions, try to get educated by exploring world around you, challenge statuo quo and see scientific reasoning or philosophy behind things. Read books on science, psychology, history and philosophy and watch scientific documentaries. Associate with intellectuals who analyse contemporary issues in world. We live in information era, dark age belongs to past, do not disturb yourself about witchcraft or voodoo or incantation, just avoid wicked people who can poison your food, drink, clothes etc. Stop watching uninspiring nollywood movies. They pollute minds and make educated persons behave irrational. If you are religious, study holy scriptures on your own, do not be deceived by religious leaders. If you still practice traditional religion, change incantation to meditation, stop rituals(ebo) in all forms, create museum for orisas, have normal meeting during days and discuss morals in society, stop occultism, try to destroy dirty shrines.
let us reason together.

Politics › Re: Governor Umahi: Herdsmen Raping Ebonyi Women, Desecrating Our Land by capitalzero: 1:28pm On Jun 03, 2019
bellachibaby:
The governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi has accused herdsmen, especially those domicile at Afikpo North, Onicha and Izzi local government Areas of the state of assaulting and harassing women sexually.

Umahi made this known while addressing stakeholders of the state during a peace talk between herders and famers, at the Akanu-Ibiam International Conference Centre, Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State.

He lamented that the herders were defiling the land of Ebonyi by allegedly forcing the women into sex.

“There is a problem at Igboagu in Izzi LGA and Isu community in Onicha LGA. I want the chairman of the Miyeti Allah to know that we have a very strong traditional affinity to wives.

“Any Izzi woman, whether the man is from Izzi or outside Izzi and he have sex with the Izzi woman in this place, the land is desecrated and the woman as well is desecrated and cannot return to the husband’s house again and that is our culture.

“And the man that did it, is not allowed to stay in that land. It is the same thing in the entire Ebonyi state. So, where there is raping of women in their farms, is very dangerous.

“That land is cursed and cannot produce any crop again. And again, if that woman gives anything to the husband to eat, that man must die.

“I will like the chairman of the Miyeti Allah to help me to solve this problem of that Isu community where a woman was raped in her husband’s house. He must leave for the land to be cleansed. And the woman also must leave for the land to be cleansed.

“The land must be cleansed before both the herdsman and the woman be allowed to comeback to that place again. If both do not leave, people will start dying in their numbers.

“And of course, if the husband eats anything from the herder or the woman, the man will automatically die. That is the culture and the culture is something that is spiritual,” he stated.
