Freshtruth:He doesn’t travel to Indonesia, Brazil, Thailand Malaysia, India etc to conduct “business”. |
People that were praying for the death are now praying for good health when God did not answer them. |
Corridon:Exactly! somebody who rigged election and 14m ApC votes from 2019 became 8.7m in 2023, somebody who rigged election lost his own stronghold state, the president lost his state, the party chairman lost his ward and state. He rig election so tey, 12 of his party’s governors lost their states, 7 of his incumbent governors lost their senate bid. True true this man is an amateur rigger. He should go and ask OBJ how rigging is done or ask those who got 97% in their states to educate him. Indeed he is the worst rigger if the decade!! |
yinkus6750:It’s not really that hard to figure out is it? Nigerian markets are a fire hazard. |
It is still too much, who can afford 15m? Where will a honest civil servant, lecturer, professor, teacher, nurse etc get n15m from? A proper party gets its funding from member dues. LP is just showing it is no different from the others. All this from the party of the working man? Abeg yeye dey smell!!! |
babajero:Exactly my sentiments. It’s too late. I grew up seeing myself as a Nigerian without any tribal prejudices. Social media particularly Nairaland has opened my eyes. You can ban what a man can say but you cannot ban his heart. Now we know the hearts of others, banning doesn’t change anything. I rather a man who says what he feels than a man who smiles but has e wil in his heart. It may make Nairaland a less hostile environment but let’s not kid ourselves…..the genie has left the bottle! |
DMerciful:No problem, it’s a free world. Just don’t blame those who refuse to believe Iwuayanwu. Just remmember you have more to lose from disharmony than we do. |
There are 4 types of Labour supporters, only 1 group really believed LP was a party of change and they can be excused. 1. Ibos….it was a tribal agenda for them all along. Ibos know deep in their heart Obi was a failure as governor but they rallied behind him because he represented a vehicle to achieve their goal. Their goal wasn’t good governance but Ibo presidency! 2. Religious sheep against a Muslim Muslim ticket. Their issue stupidly was religion. They’ve been conditioned by Pentecostal churches to retire their brains. This include mainly middle belt and yoruba Pentecostals. 3. Woke adult English speaking, mentally enslaved, western puppet Yorubas. These are the ones who are always saying things like “…in America”, “in the UK” etc. we don’t live in America or the Uk we are Nigerians. 4. The endsars idealist but naive youth Only the youths truly believed that LP represents change but they can be excused because of the naivety of youth. The biggest fools are no 2 and 3. |
That Nigerian youths look to the us UK and the EU whenever we have problems tells me that Nigerian youths are mentally enslaved!!! When you have problems you run to daddy or mummy. What Nigerian youths and all those with the penchant for running to the western world with their dirty laundry are saying is basically, you have no pride, no dignity, no self worth….you are a slave!!!!! |
Koralords:Incoming minister for Niger Delta. |
DMerciful:I am yoruba. I know what he meant, any reasonable person knows he wasn’t attacking Yorubas . But I must say you people have been milking and misinterpreting genuine slips and gaffes from others and running with it, creating narratives and stoking divisions that didn’t exist out of innocent slips of the tongue or comments aimed at specific people within a specific context….now you see the effect when the shoe is on the other foot. The irony is the MCOluomo comment that sparked this whole thing was taken out of context. The woman he was specifically talking to (mama Chidi) even came out to debunk it but that was not good enough for you. It just shows, we all need to be guarded. Iwuanyawu has too much business interests in Lagos to make such a comment in a public gathering just as MC Oluomo has too much involvement with Ibos in Lagos to make such a comment. What goes around comes around. If people choose not to be reasonable, a time will come when others would be in their right to choose not to be reasonable. |
You wan open person yansh meanwhile you open your own. It’s not only code of conduct o! He will still deal with the issue that he was not a member of Labour Party 30 days before the primaries in contravention of the electoral act. Shey he wants to fight the process? The process will come back to eat him. Obi will NEVER be president of Nigeria, not 2023. 2027, 2031 or ever!! In Nigeria there is no holy man….certainly not in our politics. When you start acting holier than thou, they will dig up your file!!! |
How come all your 12 SANS are ibos and you can’t find SANS from other tribes or religions? |
Writer606:Somebody who cannot spell? … or possibly you don’t even know what the correct expression is. |
It’s a catch 22, Okocha would not have gotten the recognition he got if he didn’t move to The EPL. Small a club as Bolton was it gave him worldwide exposure. Prior to that not many football fans outside Nigeria France and Germany knew who he was. |
Strikethem:Open a thread dedicated to cowards. |
Strikethem:I was around when events happened, even though we all hated Abacha, Diya was a disgrace and brought nothing but shame and embarrassment. Don’t try to water down his shame by talking about other cowards. He brought shame to himself, his family, the Yorubas and the disrespect of the title “general” This thread is about Diya!! |
Strikethem:Why bring Ojukwu into the matter only to agree Diya was a coward? There. Are plenty of cowards in the world, why not mention all of them? This thread is about Diya, not everything is about tribe…I am yoruba. |
The crying General! You plan coup, then catch you, you dey kneel down dey cry and beg. People you planned coup like Adisa said yes we planned coup and like true soldiers took their punishment. RIP to the coward! |
MaliCampus:The problem with half educated or educated illiterates is they keep reinforcing their collective ignorance. A blind man quoting a blind man, an illiterate quoting an illiterate neither of you understand the difference between “has been sentenced” which is not what is in 137(1)d and “under sentence “……and theirin lies your collective ignorance……poor education. If your grasp of the English langauge is not basic enough to understand the difference between “has been sentenced” and “under sentence”. You and similar quacks will interprete the law incorrectly. If the meaning of the law was as you claim the wording would have been “ has been sentenced”. In which case there would be no need to add 137(1)e as your uneducated interpretation of 137(1)d makes the inclusion of 137(1)e redundant or contradictory. It’s one thing to understand English, it’s another to have common sense and an analytical mind. Common sense would tell anyone who possesses such that your interpretation of sections 137(1)d and 137(1)e are contradictory. You cannot on the one hand say anyone who has been sentenced is ineligible (according to your unintelligent interpretation of 137(1) d) while at the same time saying anyone whose conviction is under 10 yrs is eligible. To be sentenced you have to be convicted. If anyone who has been sentenced is ineligible, how can you allow those whose conviction is over 10 yrs contest? Not only have you shown you lack proper grasp of English, now you are showing you lack critical thinking abilities. As for your post about some idiots interpretation of the legal classification of “forfeiture”, it is irrelevant and academic because it was over 10 years ago. It is irrelevant even if the CJN did make such a pronouncement (ofcourse you failed to provide the full article, you would think an educated man knows how to post a link to the article) as it is statute bound Lastly read again the wording of the different subsections and look for the words “is” and “has”. If you had any shred of intelligence or any minute hope for salvation from your chronic lack of understanding of the English language, would see the error of your biased emotional interpretation. “Is” refers to what is current, while “has” refers to the past. I have nothing more to say…nothing further needs to be said to an averagely intelligent man who understands English. To the cerebrally retarded or the man without fundamental grasp of English, further engagement is a waste of time. In basic school, we all went through English comprehension exercises. The goal of those English comprehension classes was to reach us to understand what we read. If you read but do not comprehend you are not much better than an illiterate and in my experience with Nigerians like you, it is better dealing with the uneducated illiterates…at least you know to communicate with then in the native language. Like I always say, Majority of educated Nigerians are poor in English. Even an uneducated English man from the council flats will never tell you “couple” when he means more than 2 but we regularly use “couple” to mean “few” or “some”. I have it many times the biggest problem in the Nigerian education system today is English, we would be better off being taught in our native languages…..the quality of English comprehension is very poor….especially among the under 40s. Unfortunately once the foundation is flawed from childhood, it becomes difficult to correct in adult life as we are witnessing in you. |
MaliCampus:Educated illiterate. Firstly, a forfeiture is not a fine. Secondly, no point arguing with illiterates. |
MaliCampus:Jesus wept! I just castigated you for your poor understanding of English you double down. Like I said your problem and that of many like you is English….. you do not know what “Under sentence” means. If you do, everything else is irrelevant. “Under sentence” means you have not served your jail time, not paid your fine or not been killed if you were sentenced to death. Have you ever heard the legal term “completed his sentence”? When you are sentenced you have a burden to carry out either jail time fine etc. Until you serve your jail time or pay the fine, you are under the burden of the sentence…..hence the term “under sentence”. Once you serve your jail time or pay your fine you are no longer under the burden of the sentence..hence no longer under sentence! I tire for educated illiterates! Like I said if you read d and e together you would realize you are making a fool of yourself and embarrassing your English teachers. Why would section e allow someone who was convicted over 10 yrs ago to contest for office if by definition a convict is sentenced? Your brain did not engage there? Why bother with section 137(1) e if 137 (1)d has already excluded anyone who was convicted because to be sentenced you have to be convicted. Your brain no alert you? Whatever our disagreements on this issue take me seriously when I say you have a fundamental problem with English. English is your medium of communication, if you don’t understand what you are really saying, what you read or what others are truly saying, you are not communicating. You are the sort of slowpoke that spent energy on Bihari’s school certificate when the constitution expressly says it is not needed…..it is only a minimum qualification. Educated Nigerians who don’t understand the meaning of “minimum”!!!!! I swear educated Nigerians have a big problem with English. |
MaliCampus:Like I said you are daft and nothing but an educated illiterate. It is a shame you read but don’t understand….. that is the sad reflection of products of the Nigerian education system. Let me educate you: what 137(1)d states is that as at the time of the election, any sentence or must have been served. What d& e mean together is that a contestant must not have been convicted for an offense in the last 10 years and any sentence for any offense in the previous 10 years must have been served as at the time of an election. If you were convicted for an offense in the previous 10 years you must have completed your sentence. If you actually had any brains section 137(1)d would have pointed you in the direction that people who have been convicted can actually run for office so long as they have served their sentence. This is not to say Tinubu was convicted, just to highlight the futility and true purpose of bringing up a matter 12 SANs know will be dismissed immediately. No matter what is contained in the documents, it happened over 10 years ago. From a legal point of view it is irrelevant, if they like let it be 10000 pages. You clearly don’t know how lawyers work. A lawyer will advise his client but will do what the client says even if he knows the client won’t win. This is exactly why foreign countries require Nigerian students to take English proficiency exams. We don’t understand English despite the fact that we supposedly speak English. Illiterates!!!!! |
MaliCampus:You are clearly daft. SANs don’t lose cases? Who’s lost Atiku,s case in 2019? Na charge and bail file Oyetola’s case against Adeleke? I swear you people have serious issues. What you need to do is 1) go for adult education classes in English and fast for 40 days for common sense. A man who leaves the collation center after just 1 state leaves because he knows he has lost. A man protesting on the streets and the media while having the same case pending in court is doing so because he knows he has a weak case or no case and is trying to whip up sentiment. If you are confident of victory and your polling agents info show you have won, you won’t do Orubebe style and walk out. If you know you have a good case you won’t have need to public sentiment and protests because you are still coming to govern the country no be so? When you are bringing up a case that is 30 years old when the law clearly states anything over 10 yrs is irrelevant, it is because you have no case. When your case I’d to try to disqualify the winner after the election using sentimental arguments not legal arguments in a court of law it is clear you know it is a sucide mission and you are only playing to the gallery. Let me make it clear Obi himself knows he has no case, everything he is doing is a facade to appeal to his very dense supporters…..that’s all!!! When you see someone having to brag it is because they are insecure, from the woman who won’t stop telling you she is beautiful to the man who won’t stop trying to show you he is rich to the man who keeps protesting in public while the matter is in court. Let me give you a life lesson…. Real Confidence does not shout! |
skj1377:Leave the fools. Let them be wanking without reading section 137(1)e. |
Obidience: When you become so biased and driven by dogma and emotion in your thought process, common sense evades you begin to look like a fool and start to embarrass yourself. |
Obinoscopy:Obi knows this that is why they are attempting to nullify the election on technicalities like process and qualification to run as well as heating up the populace. Like I said. From the onset, by the time you get to the colation center, you already have the result from Your own party agents. No one who knows he is winning walks out at the declaration of the 1st state out out 36. |
Obinoscopy:Obi knows this that is why they are attempting to nullify the election on technicalities like process and qualification to run as well as heating up the populace. |
trutharena:Ibos are the masters of propaganda. It’s in their DNA, they’ve been employing that tactic since the civil war to the point they are incapable of dealing with reality. They say a lie so often the lines between truth and fantasy are blurred. They themselves start to believe the lies. It’s why they never succeed politically. They are like a woman who has been told all her life by her friends and family that she is very beautiful and desirable. and continues to tell herself till her 30s, 40s and 50s that she is indeed very desirable , despite the reality that no suitors are queuing up to woo her and those who do don’t desire her for serious relationships. . At 50 it is too late to deal with her reality so she continues with the self deceit. That is the story of the Ibo man and his penchant for propaganda and deceit, It is a coping mechanism that helps them justify the rot they are in politically and prevents them from dealing with their reality. The same way they told their children lies about the civil war to cushion their egos from defeat, lies that have now become “facts”. Why are they like this you ask? To answer that you have to u derstand the psyche of the average Ibo. They are very proud people and driven by ego and success. It’s what drives them to be successful at all costs but it’s also why they can’t handle defeat well. Defeat is seen as an affront to the ego and pride of an Ibo. They can’t handle it well, so the narrative when they are defeated is to spin a story of cheating, victimization etc. note not all Ibos are this way but it is the character that is prevalent….especially those from certain states particularly Anambra!!! The trait that makes an Ibo ma. Successful is also his Achilles heel In Politics.. you can bulldoze your way in business but you cannot force your way in human interaction. That’s is the mistake the Ibo continuously make in politics. Business is about conquering, politics is about concessions. |
Yayi is the next governor. Ogun east and central are ruled out. |
Is that a certain EO? Ok o!! |
Lewisjohnson:You say banking “halls”, but all these pics are from the same bank! |
